  • Country of origin field?

    Dear Gurus,
can we make only 'country of origin' field manadatory in me11 and me12?
    if yes, how?
    If No, why?
    pls help........

    Dear
Field Ctry Of Origin gets copied from Vendor Master - In Address LFA1-LAND1. Further it is independent of the Partner Function. Even u assign any different Goods Supplier/ Ordering Address in partner determination, it will not not pick-up from its country.
    Hopes this help you.

  • HT4946 when you change your country of orgin. why cant you buy in app purchases from apps that you downloaded in the previous country?

when you chane your country of orgin. why cant you buy in-apps purchases from apps which you bought in the previous country?

    Bob,
Apple did approve our in-app purchase without publishing the folio ahead of time.
I have a new question: Can I change the "Cleared for sale" attribute in the iTunes Connect interface from no to yes before a folio's scheduled publication date? Or should I wait until after the folio has been published?
I would think you could set the "Cleared for sale" attribute to yes before the publication date and it would not cause any problems since the folio is not available to purchase until it's published.

  • Country of origin - field in MCHA-HERKL is updated

    Hi Gurus,
Pl let me know, how country of origin field MCHA-HERKL is updated. Is this related to classification / Batch management.
Is there any user exits to update this field.
Where this field is used in Business scenario?
    Best Regards

    Hello, Prakash
The Country of origin field is updated with table MCHA.
(i.e, Country of origin of the material, it is a key of the country in which the material has been produced. You are legally required to specify the country of origin both for export and import) And
It is related to Batch Management.
    And
This information (i.e, country of origin) is used for foreign trade processing in different areas, such as in Foreign trade law and Customs law
And you can observe this field in Material master (in two different views:  Sales: General /Plant Data (below Foreign trade: Export) & Purchasing data (in Foreign trade: Import) view
(the field is very much useful, in the case of Export sales)
Export: You prove the origin of a material by presenting the certificate of origin. This is issued and controlled by the relevant authority of the issuing country. This authority confirms the origin of a material and the required information with the certificate of origin.
(the field very much useful, in the case of Import procurement)
Import: The relevant authority of the importing country - usually the Ministry of Economic Affairs - stipulates which regulations regarding customs and foreign trade law have to be observed for the certificates of origin accompanying goods.
    Note: Purpose
The above filed that is MCHA-HERKL is assigned to Field Groups and that tends to assignment of this field for the batch master data to a field group and thereby influence how the screen is set up.
-> In the batch master data, every field is assigned to a field group.
-> Field groups group together fields that have the same technical procedures. If you show or hide a field group using the field selection control, all fields belonging to this group are dealt with in the same way.

  • How is the Country of Origin field populated in the OITM?

    Dear All,
I can see this column in the table but not in User interface. We are in CA and US localization. Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Yuka

    Hi,
The country of origin does not appear on the interface but is available on the backhand ie. tables.
If the field is a requirement you can check the following workaround in the test enviorment :
    - create udt for the countries
    - create udf on item masterdata -> set udt as linked table
    - create udf on Marketing Documents Row-level -> set udt as linked
                                                    table as well!
    - save following query and attach as formatted search to udf
    - on Marketing Documents Row-level:
    - SELECT udf FROM OITM WHERE ItemCode= $[$38.1.0] FOR BROWSE
    - set to autorefresh on "when existing altered column", Item No.
      in documenttemplate choose as Datafield
      File:  UDT
      Field: Name
      tick "Display Description"
    Check if the above helps.

  • Default Country in phone fields

    Hi...
I have an user that sits in Perú and whenever he tries to insert a telephone number, let's say, for a lead, the default country is Spain instead of Perú.
Can anybody help me set the default to Perú?
    Many thanks in advance
    JC

I've a related problem. After I imported some Korean Contacts, the default telephone Country Code was "North American Numbering Plan." This meant that all of the telephone numbers were prepended with +1. Using Mass Update or scripting, is there any programmatic way that I can mass change all of the telephone number fields from "North American Numbering Plan" (+1) to "Korea" (+82)?

  • One of my friend gave me an iPhone 4S country of orgin not uk please advice how can use uk sim?

Hi there my friend gave me an iPhone 4S. I insert SIM card, but is not  working I have checked that phone come from Europe &amp; sim blocked please advice how do I use uk sim?

    You can't.
If the phone is locked to another network you can only use it on that network.
You would need to contact the network the phone is locked to and find out if they offer unlocking and what you need to do to qualify. If you're not a customer of this network, its unlikely they will unlock it for you.

  • 'Country' Field in Address

Is the field 'country' in Additional information > Address cannot be identified as an individual field? I cannot find 'country' as a field in 'Lead' record type. How can i get the pick list values of 'country' field?

In the lead record type field setup it is called "Billing". The country picklist which can not be changed determines which fields appear in the address block.

  • Hiding fields in phtmlb:formLayout (new thread)

    Original Thread:
    hiding fields in a bsp...
What Kevin is talking about, is some special development we did for HR eRecruitement. Well, let us turn it around. They helped us, and we returned the favour. And yes, this is actually some of the more interesting bits and pieces of BSP. (Fresh meat to discuss:).
Effectively, the <phtmlb:formLayout> has two functionalities. The first is a very easy way to layout a form. The second is a way via customization to dynamically have customers overwrite the visibility/required property of each field. So the SAP puts the maximum number of fields into the formlayout, and the customer can then via customization remove some, flag some as required, etc.
(If anybody should feel like writing a long weblog on this, I will provide technical detail, plus examples offline.)
The interesting database tables are these PHTMLB_FLI* ones. Part of the agreement was that the application itself provides for a UI to update the table. Also, the application itself controls which fields are changable.
If you really want to play, look at SBSPEXT_PHTMLB, the formLayout example. In the top part, there are also a serious of dropdown listboxes. What these do, is that they update the customization tables first, before the formlayout is rendered. So what you are seeing is actually the formlayout as it has been programmed, plus then the effects of a (customer) customization on it.
Also the example shows the effect of using an XML bee to dynamically add entries into the fieldLayout (if the application added these hooks).
    brian

    Hallo Thomas,
No, unfortunately we never build something to also customize the labels. They HR colleagues did not ask for this :).
I first started to write you here a loong text with answers. But then I got lazy, and searched my archive mailbox. Here below is the <b>draft</b> input that I wrote initially for the documentation. It describes everything pretty good. (But it is draft document, never proofread again, so read it lightly!)
    bye, brian
    <u><b>Why?</b></u>
Typically when an application is developed at SAP, the developer must make provision for all possible fields of information that must be displayed and/or queried from the user. However, in specific business cases, or depending on specific country laws, all fields might not be required. Also in some cases, fields in one scenario can be flagged required, versus in another they are only optional.
The typical starting point will be a complete formlayout done during the development. On top of this a customization layer is placed. The automatic reading and applying of the customization layer is automatically done by the phtmlb fL.
    <b><u>What?</u></b>
For each field, a default behaviour is assumed. This is the behaviour that is defined by the developer during development time. For example, it could be specified that email address must be required. During the runtime it is now possible to overwrite the default behaviour with a customization entry for the field.
    The following options are supported:
<b>As Defined:</b> The formLayoutItem in displayed as it has been defined during development.
<b>Invisible:</b> The formLayoutItem is not placed on the formLayout. It is immediately removed. All following items below it, will be moved up to fill its position.
<b>Hidden:</b> In this case, the formLayoutItem is placed on the formLayout, but not displayed. The item reserves its slot, and an empty slot will be displayed. However, after all items have been placed on the formLayout, a row "compression" is done, whereby all rows that contain only hidden elements are removed. Hidden is important for cases where columns next to one another must align. A typical example would be name & surname horizontally aligned. If now one item is invisible before this row, the two items will not be aligned anymore. With hidden, this alignment will be kept, and we still have the benefit of empty rows been removed.
<b>Required:</b> Sets the required flag for the item. Label of item will be rendered an indication that it is required (usually little red asterix after the label).
<b>Optional:</b> Can be used to customize a required field to be not required.
<b>Read Only:</b> Field value is only displayed.
    <u><b>What is index?</b></u>
Customization is stored for a formLayout under the key that is build from the BSP application namespace, BSP application name, plus the page/view on which the formLayout is placed. It is assumed that there will only be one formLayout per view. A typical example would be:
         SAP/SBSPEXT_PHTMLB/FORMLAYOUTSAMPLE.HTM
In addition, a customization key must be specified. Typical examples would be to say this is the default customization for USA, or for the specific branchen Losuegn. The customization key must be supplied with the <phtmlb:fL> tag, and only then will the customization data be read from the database.
    <b><u>Tables</u></b>
For customization there are three interesting tables.
The first table PHTMLB_FLI is completed by the developer, and defines a list of all the formLayout items that can be customized. Only for those flItems which customization is possible, will entries be made in this table. The table contains three components:
<b>NS_APPL_PAGE</b> This is the unique key that identies the formLayout, consisting of namespace, application and page/view.
<b>FLI_ID</b> Id string of the specific formLayoutItem.
<b>COMPONENT</b> This is software component to which development applies, for example SAP_BASIS for all BSP development work done by us.
The second table PHTMLB_FLI_TEXT is just a language dependant text table that describes each item in the formLayout.
The tables PHTMLB_FLI and PHTMLB_FLI_TEXT are not using during the runtime. They are only of interest for design time. Note that NO tools are provided to make any entries in these tables. This is considered to be in the application domain, and will usually be part of the customization process of the application.
The third table PHTMLB_FLI_CUST is the only table that is read during the runtime. It is assumed that a customization tool has made the relevant entries for this table.
    <b>NS_APPL_PAGE</b> see above
<b>VARIANT_KEY</b> This is the specific customization layer that is currently active. This string is equavalent to <pthmlb:fL  customizationKey>. It is used to pull a specific customization.
    <b>FLI_ID</b> see above
<b>MODIFIER</b> This is the new value to apply. For the possible values, see DDIC domain PHTMLB_FLI_MODIFIER.
For an example of customization, see BSP application SBSPEXT_PHTMLB, pages formLayout.htm. In this example, the customization can quickly be set via dropdown listboxes. On each request the PHTMLB_FLI_CUST is quickly updated and then the formLayout will find the set of new customization data to use.

  • Problem mapping inputText field to a variable in a data control

I have encountered the following problem. Please help. Any feedback is appreciated.
I have a page that contains first name, last name, address, city, state zip and country input text fields and a submit button. When the submit button is clicked, user entered information will be commited to database. This is easily achieved by using a managed bean.
Now I would like to achieve the same functionality by using data control. The reason I want to use data control is to avoid putting the controls (first name, last name, address, city, state zip and country) in the managed bean. I was hoping that they can be directly mapped to the data control variables. The data control is created from a Java object which contains attributes of first name, last name, address, city, state zip and country. The data control is dragged and dropped to a jsff page and the jsff looks like the following:
    <af:inputText label="First Name"
    value="#{bindings.firstName.inputValue}"
    required="true"
    maximumLength="25" autoSubmit="true"
    id="it10">
    </af:inputText>
When I run the page, I can see the label First name but the input box was not shown. So I removed: value="#{bindings.firstName.inputValue}" and the input box appears.
Why did that happen? Can I directly map a data control attribute to an input text field?
    Thank,
    Cecilia

Thanks for the response, Shay. Really appreciate it.
I tried your first solution - modified the property IsUpdateable to Updateable. However the input text box is still not appearing.
My java class is just a simple Java class. In the class all I have is just a get method for a domain model object.
In the jsff, if I assigned a value to the value attribute (value="Jane"), the input text box would appear as updateable.
    Any idea?
