Country of origin issue to be populated on Goods receipt

We have multiple vendor PART NUMBERS assigned to 1 vendor  i.e N - 1 Relationship,
if we maintain PIR , which can be used only for 1 vendor to 1 part number we cannot use PIR in this case as it is N - 1 Relation.
So, the situation is we need to maintain Country of origin for part numbers,  which can be seen in Goods receipt.
By country of origin we should be able to track the inventory in Goods Receipt.
There is one other option by maintaining a Batch which is the last option, plz do look for the options.
Please solve this problem with possible solution.
Appreciate ur help in advance.
Thanks,
kalyan

  • Is it possible to post a good issue movement before post the good receipt m

Is it possible to post a good issue movement before post the good receipt  movement for the same material, into the same period?
We try to explain better, today we've done a test:
Step 1 :   We have created a material, wich material type is HAWA, with price control V, and 1 euro for 1 ST.
Step 2 :   We have post a good receipt movement, 561 of this material  with 1000 ST of stock, and on posting date: 05.05.2011.
Step 3 :   Then, we have post a good issue movement, 562 of the same material, with 500 ST of stock,  on posting date: 01.05.2011 ( so that, the posting date of the 562 is before from the posting date of 561).
And it has worked, so that on trx "mb51" for this material we saw:
    PLANT1-----STO1---- 562-----  Mat. Doc.101.05.2011--
    500-   ST
    PLANT1-----STO1---561Mat. Doc.205.05.2011--
    1000  ST
And with "fbl3n" for this G/L account , the same situation:
    G/LAccount1--DocumentNo101.05.2011--99--
    500-  EUR
    G/LAccount1--DocumentNo205.05.2011--89--
    1000  EUR
We don't like this fact, someone knows how is it possible? The negative stocks aren't flagged!!!!

    Hi,
Though sap allows like this ,, the document created will be with the date of the actual posting system date. If you look into the MSEG table you will get to know this.
In theory .. this kind of practice should not be allowed .
since this is a 562 which is a individual  entry may be system would have allowed.you try a 102 .

SAP only checks if there is enough quantity in the period (month), it does not check if there is enough stock at date level.
there is no stock stored in any table for a given date. SAP would need to run the logic of MB5B to calculate the stock at a certain date, this would cause tremendous performance issues.
you either have to do this calculation yourself in a user exit, or you better train your users.

  • SAP Inventory Manager 4.0 (WM 1.0) issue downloading material returns on Goods Receipt

    Hi all,
We're facing an issue related to GR and material returns, connecting to SAP backend system.
On this first screen we're using MIGO transaction and you'll see that we have a PO (4200000027) with one material (MATERIAL-1) which has a pending quantity of 298 EA to be received.
However, on this second screen, you'll see that when the PO gets downloaded to the Agentry client, it shows that only 295 EA are pending and that it shows that 5 EA has been received, while there are no items reversed or returned.
Finally, when we go to verify the Purchase History for the material using ME23N transaction, you'll see that indeed 5 EA have been received of the material, but also several returns have been made. So, after calculating the difference, the total quantity of items received are 2.
From this I understand that the SAP IM application has not downloaded the returns, and that is only considering the receipts that have been done. For that reason, it thinks that 295 EA are pending, when in reality it's supposed to be 298 EA.
Has anyone faced this issue before? Is this a known bug? Am I missing some configuration?
    Thanks for your help
    -Omar

    Omar,
I'm not aware of any  known issues with respective to calculation of open  quantity which is   quantity ordered - ( Total received ) - Total returned.  In your case it is not working I guess.
what I would I suggest is to put  a break point on SAP side for Purchase order fetch and check if it is something wrong with calculations.     if it something to do with calculation then please open OSS message with SAP support team  for IM  4.0 product.
    Thanks
    Manju.

  • Goods issue based on Goods receipt with the same price

    Hi Gurus,
Can we do goods issue with the price of goods receipts?
For example: GR 100 ea price 10, GR 200 price 20, now total stock is 300 ea. Now we want issue 50 ea out of stock, users want those goods issue with first in price 10.
Can we acheive this? and how?
    Thanks,
    Grace

    Hi,
I'm not sure but you can try following methods.
    - Create GR for 10 nos. in unrestricted stock & for 20 nos create GR as Blocked stock. Let your stores person issue the first 10 first & 20 later on.
    - You can try it with  batch management.

  • Define Number Assignment for Goods Receipt/Issue Slips

    Hi Experts,
please can you help in the creation of manual creation of transport request for the customizing activity "Define Number Assignment for Goods Receipt/Issue Slips": settings for assigning goods receipt/issue slip numbers upon goods movements (MM) or deliveries (LE-SHP)?
Customizing for this functionality is composed by the following points:
    1. functionality activation at plant level
    2. number range group/interval code assignment
    3. Groups and intervals creation
    4. Plant / Storage Location / Movement type combination assignment to number range group.
Customizing request is automatically created for points 1, 2, 4, but NOT for point 3 where you have to create Groups, Intervas and assing each others.
You receive a message from SAP that you have to insert the relevant object manually into transport request.
Please can you tell me exactly what I have to put into transport request as object:
    - Program ID     (I think R3TR)
    - Object Type
    - Object name
and any other relevant information with all the details.
    Thank you very much
    Kind Regards
    Andrea.

    Hi
You need to create the transport request by selecting the required number & clicking on the trnsaport icon, then a prompt for transport request will be displayed, there you can create the request & move it to production.
    Reward points if usefu;
    Thanks & Rgards

  • How is the Country of Origin field populated in the OITM?

    Dear All,
I can see this column in the table but not in User interface. We are in CA and US localization. Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Yuka

    Hi,
The country of origin does not appear on the interface but is available on the backhand ie. tables.
If the field is a requirement you can check the following workaround in the test enviorment :
    - create udt for the countries
    - create udf on item masterdata -> set udt as linked table
    - create udf on Marketing Documents Row-level -> set udt as linked
                                                    table as well!
    - save following query and attach as formatted search to udf
    - on Marketing Documents Row-level:
    - SELECT udf FROM OITM WHERE ItemCode= $[$38.1.0] FOR BROWSE
    - set to autorefresh on "when existing altered column", Item No.
      in documenttemplate choose as Datafield
      File:  UDT
      Field: Name
      tick "Display Description"
    Check if the above helps.
    Kind Regards,

  • VL02N - Country of Origin Updation

    Hi,
I have a requirement to default Country of Origin field in VL02N Transaction for each line item under Foreign Trade/Customs Tab -> Origin / Destination / Business Tab.
For this to be happen, I have used a function module EXPIMP_POSTING in the user exit Z_MV50AFZ1_6, which will update the country of origin field perfectly.
The problem occurs here -> The function module requires an input EXNUM (Number of foreign trade data in MM and SD documents) which is obtained from LIKP table. This Number will get generated only when the Delivery has some foreign trade data.
Is there any other way to update this Country of origin field without passing EXNUM field to this function module or do we have any other function module or exit for such requirement?
    Thanks,

In my case it is Foreign trade .so when goods are exported the foreign trade data will gets populated in the billing document at item level.
By maintaining country of origin in material master data u2013foreign trade u2026it will flows to delivery/Billing document

  • Country of Origin in Item Master

    Dear All,
We have a database field by name "CountyOrg" in item master. But I cannot find any field in front-end where I can view the data I have imported in this field thru DTW (ItemCountryOrg). I have items where I would like to save their country of origin as each item is unique to one country.  Please let me know what is the use of this field in SAP and if I import the country  name here will it effect/restrict any of my transaction in SAP.

  • Intrastat - country of origin unknown

    Hello,
in Czech republic is possible to present Country of origin unknown in certain cases in Intrastat reports, where the vendor is not able to provide the information about the real country of origin of material.
For such cases I have customized the new Country of origin called "QU - origin unknown" in Country global parameters (OY01) as well as in foreign trade data for MM (VI78).
But when I ran the periodic declaration for import in ENPA, the items of documents with COO QU still fall down into Incompletion log, because of non existing Country of origin QU. But in fact the Country of origin QU is assigned correctly in purchase order document.
    Can somebody help?

  • I am planning to buy an iMac 21.5 inch with Fusion drive and 16 GB RAM while i visit USA for a conference. My country of origin is India. Once i am back to India, will my iMac be covered by the Apple's Protection Plan?

I am planning to buy an iMac 21.5 inch with Fusion drive and 16 GB RAM while i visit USA for a conference. My country of origin is India and the option of configuring to my need is not avaialble here in India. My concern is once i am back to India, will my iMac be covered by the Apple's Protection Plan if something goes wrong here in India?
I recently came across some posts regarding International warranty related issues for iPhone and iPad....hence this crossed my mind...
Waiting for response from the support group members...

    Thanks Ralph
This essentially means that if my iMac develops some problem (both software and hardware) in my country (India), it will be completeley attended (even the whole system requires replacement) by the AASP in India...is that what you say?

  • Customs Duties based on Country of Origin in the PO

    Hello,
I would like to seek your help on pricing conditions in the PO.
We have created an access sequence for customs duty condition type ZOB1, and we used the key combination delivering country, commodity code, and the country of origin. We cannot maintain the country of origin in the material master because it is only known upon PO creation. The condition type ZOB1 is supposed to read the country of origin in the PO. Instead, the country of origin in the material master is what's being populated in KOMP-HERKL, which is the field catalog we used as part of the access sequence/condition table.
We would like the system to get the customs duties based on the country of origin entered in the PO and not the one in the material master.
Is this possible? Has any of you tried to modify the values in the structure KOMP before PO prices are determined by the system based on the access sequence?
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi Lakshmipathi,
So far we are encountering 2 incorrect deliveries in production. This does not involve Sales order but Purchase Order. I tried to check the country of the Supplying Plant and the country is not the country reflected in the delivery. It is expected that the country of the supplying plant must reflect in the delivery. Checking the PO, it is not also getting the correct country but it is getting the country of the receiving plant. We got confused why it is getting the country of the receiving plant.
    Thanks,
    Rish

  • How to track the Country of origin using the tcode 'MIGO_GR'

    Hi Group,
I was trying to run  the tcode 'MIGO_GR' and want to see the field value Country of Origin(HERKR) in the display batch tcode 'MSC3N', but I am not able to see this value.
the thing is that, the data comes as Idoc with the batch number, and in this batch there was no info about the country of origin (HERKR) and hence when I check in MSC3N, I could not see the value for Country of origin.
Could you please let me know the enhancement to be used to populate this value(HERKR) into the Batch that gets created (thru tcode 'MIGO_GR')? and also please let me know the table that gets updated?
thanks for your help in advance.
    Regards,
    Vishnu.

    Hi Group,
I resolved the issue myself and the solution is as under:
When we run the transaction 'MIGO" or "MIGO_GR", internally the system generates a Batch, which can be changed by the User at his interest to any number he likes.
And when this Batch gets created, we can have a Userexit (EXIT_SAPMM07M_003) called to update the Country of Origin (HERKL) as under:
    if XXXX - Condtion here....
Populate the field HERKL in the structure BATCH_MASTER_DATA with the desired value
    endif.
This will resolve the issue and we can view this Country of Origin in the transaction MSC3N.
    Regards,
    Vishnu.
