Country Specifc Settings

Hi:
WE are in process of implementing ECC 6.0 in Mexico.
When we tried to setup country specific settings in our Development client using transaction O035, We received following error and were not able to create country specific setting for country code MX.
Country company code does not exist
Message no. CW015
Diagnosis
The country company code does not exist.
System Response
The country version conversion can not take place.
Procedure
Please create the country company code.
Create company code
It seems that when originally SAP was implemented, the entries for org structure 0001 was deleted from Development client. Until we have entries for org. structure 0001 in our DEV client, we will not be able to generate country specific settings for MX. Is it possible to copy org structure 0001 entries from client 000 to Dev client 200 without overwriting existing configuration in development client.
Please let me know asap.

We have the same "problem". As time of our initial implementation on release 2.2D (centuries ago ) we also chose 0001 - which is a problem now when we try to use the country template for Russia.
The only way to come around this is to copy the entries from client 000 more or less manually, which means: logging in to client 000, step to the customizing table and create a transport for the same and then use SCC1 to import that transport.

You can find this in the following path.
SPRO->GENERAL SETTINGS> SET COUNTRIES>DEFINE COUNTRIES-->
Here countries have an ISO CODE
Then
SPRO->GENERAL SETTINGS>CURRENCIES-->CHECK CURRENCY CODES
Here ISO codes mapped to currencies.
If CCode currency = Customer master currency, then transactions will happens in that currency
If CCode currency<> Customer master currency, then the exchange rate will come into play to convert customer currency to company code currency.
And anway if you want a different currency from the country currency, you can mention that in ccode configuration. The presence of currency in company code configuration is must and hence configuration at country level is not needed I think

I-views - Country specific settings

Hi,
We have a requirement of a WD ABAP application for education info in ESS for employee belonging to US, Canada and Trinidad.
I have defined the z-resource, z-service and the country specific settings for same as well as done the active subtype settings in spro.
For settings at the portal end, i want to know whether i will have to create an i-view for education data under the 'personal information' for each country?i.e. one education i-view for US, one for canada and one for trinidad. If yes, can all the three i-views call the same WD ABAP application?
If the above is done, then 3 pages will have to be created for the 3 i-views.
Kindly confirm my understanding.

You can just have one WDA and maintain OTR for the texts which are displayed on the view.
Using the FM SOTR_API_WB_TRANSLATE you can maintain translations in your required language.

I think your question is more generic.
Anyways, Just go to SPRO>Click on SAP reference IMG>Search (Ctrl+F)>Type Country. And go through each options and you will able to see SAP standard setting which already provided by them (By default).
Country code of Canada is CA.You can change these settings according to your business requirements.

Crm country specific settings?

We are implementing Oppurtunity management in CRM for one of our clients in the usa. They have another office in mexico and want to make sure that whatever configurations & settings we do is viewable to their office in mexico in their local language.
I have never handled a multiple lanuage/country situation before. I want to find out that, if I make changes and customize their sales methodology. For eg I create a new phase called XYZ in the sales assistant. Will this get transalated to the spanish lanuage when they login in that language? What steps do I need to take to ensure this? Do I have to advise the client to have any country specific language versions installed?
I would greatly appreciate if you can help me out with this stuff.

Ofcourse you need to have Spanish added as an installed language. You Basis person should be able to do that without any problems. In addition, the users of the system should have their local language set. And finally, any developments you do may need to have some screen elements translated, unless you can stick with SAP supplied field elements (they get displayed in the proper language if this was installed by Basis)

How can I change the region/country in settings when i have a subscription iTunes match?

I already have a subscription in my iTunes Store (México), but I need to change the region/country because my company has sent to me to Dominican Republic for a new position in my job. My problem is that I have too a subscription for the iTunes Match service, and when I try to change my region/country in the settings page I cannot complete the process. It appears a message like this "In order to make the change of region first you must cancel the sucripción to the service"

HT1918 How do you change your country/region settings with a balance?

I've relocated to another country and still have a 1 yuan balance with my itunes account that was synced in China. When I try to change my region settings to Canada, it says that I must spend my balance in order to make the switch. There is nothing that I can purchase that is 1yuan (even when if I top up the balance, there isn't an app that is 51 yuan or 101 yuan). How can I get rid of the balance so that I can change my country settings to Canada?

Can't close Sun-specifc settings dialog box

Dear All,
I cannot close the sun-specific settings dialog box when I attempt to create my mappings for my CMP entity beans from the Schema. Close button will not function. Also I can still go through to the Create Mappings window but it doesn't allow me to select my schema to generate the mappings. Whether this means it can't find the Schema file? I have checked and this is present in the JAR file and saved.
I managed to create some mappings earlier today but have not been able to since. I have restarted the container, desktop, removed the EAR and created a new one. Still the window seems to fail every time. The log for the domain doesn't show anythign peculiar either.

On the left tree view select the EJB bean and then click on the Entity tab. In the Fields To Be Persisted box do you have any fields checked? For each CMP bean at least one field should be checked to be persisted.

ESS 7.0 - ESS - Service Specifc Settings

We are in ECC 6.0 and EP 7.0.
Even after switching on the EA-HR Extension Set, we are not able to find Service Specific Settings in the IMG.
Can anyone help where it has been plugged in ECC 6.0 . I am able to find it in ECC 5.0 under Personnel Management in IMG.

Try enabling EA-FIN along with EA-HR. You should see the Employee Self Service IMG under Personnel Management. Also, double check the EA extensions are active.

Changing country/language settings in iTunes?

Hi!
I have just bought an iPod and installed iTunes with it. The problem is that there is no iTunes music store in New Zealand but I still want to browse music and podcasts.
However, the main page of the iTunes Music store is set in either Korea/Japan mode hence the symbols being mushed up and I can only see the pictures.
How can I change the country/language setting of iTunes bar having to remove and re-install it?

bottom: There is a dropdown menu located that lets
you change to another store.
Great thanks!!! That was it! As it was only shown in strange symbols I didn't know what this menu was. I selected the only decipherable option (UK) and hey presto! I can now read the Music Store

If I buy Apple TV in a country where Netflix is not available, will I be able to access Netflix from my country where Netflix is available?

I have an urgent question.
I'm from Argentina where Netflix is available. I have an account.
I have a friend who is in Spain right now, where Netflix is not yet available.
I asked him to bring me an Apple TV 3 because it is much cheaper there. And I need to access Netflix from a Non Smart LCD I have.
And he is leaving Spain in a couple of hours.
He went to the Madrid's Apple Store where he was told that they didn't know if he could be able to use Netflix in Argentina from the Apple TV bought in Spain.
If you look at Apple's Spanish site for the Apple TV, you can't see Netflix in the images: http://store.apple.com/es/buy-appletv/appletv
But you can in the US site: https://www.apple.com/appletv/
Do you know if I'll be able to access Netflix in Argentina (where Netflix is available) from an Apple TV bought in Spain (where Netflix is not available)? Is there some kind of regional lock from Apple TV?

It should be fine provided Netflix is available on AppleTV normally in Argentina - in the Settings menus there are a couple of location/country type settings - the unit has a universal power supply and apart from potentially a plug adapter for the power cord if needed it should work fine.
AppleTv's are not region locked at all, you should be able to get all services available on an AppleTV sold in Argentina on one sold in Spain provided you configure the location info correctly.

Vendor Country field attribute

Hi,
I am setting attributes to certain fields on Vendor master to swith to DISPLAY mode for a certain accoutn groups.
Under general data , i dont see "COUNTRY" field.
If I want to make the country field to DISPLAY mode for certian account group , how can I achieve that?

You ar eright you would not find the Country field either in the General data, Company Code data or Purchasing Data
Country field settings are done Globally
path would be SPRO-> SAP Netweaver ->General Settings ->Set Countries -> ****
Here you could have some option to set up the Country only in the display mode
One thing is sure that you will not find out the infromation where you were searching earlier
and country is mostly taken as Manadatory field

Missing Standard country version (and template)

Hi,
In our system I am about to create a company code for Mexico but before doing so I checked what local customising for Mexico was available in configuration as standard. Unfortunately for whatever reason, the country version settings for Mexico and most of the other countries with standard versions are not in our SAP system.
I have checked client 000 and can see them there but what I am not clear about are the options to get all the configuration associated with the Mexico country version into our development system i.e. whether there is automated tools for this or has to be a manual process given that I am dealing with a standard country version which should already be in our system but isn't.
Before my time we were on version 31i and then migrated to ECC6.0 so perhaps these standard country versions were left out at this point and 31i is no longer available for me to check this, not that it would help anyway with what to do now.
I have seen plenty of SAP notes on this topic, 641257, 63805, 63631, 65934, 162594, 91096, 81892, 48047, 602901, 73606 & 150629 being some of these so please don't refer me to any of these SAP notes or any others that don't specifically deal with what options are available when a standard country version is missing from a SAP system and is required as a reference when implementing in that country.
Are there any defined steps/process that needs to be followed for a situation like this where the required standard country version is not available in our SAP system.
I: will post this message again at a higher level in this forum as I see a lot of views on other threads but very few replies so not sure if I will get the answer from within this Globalisation services but it would appear to have been the correct area to post a thread on this topic.

I have set logon language both in R/3 suo1 and portal personalization tab in EHP5 ESS 1.50 and MSS 1.51.
But I am seeing portal page with combination of English and country specific language in EHP5.

Where in R/3 do we do the currency & country(basic) settings while extracting data into BW. How can we transfer theese currency & country selections into BW from the R/3.
