Coupon App

I am using the coupon app on the photosmart 5514.  How do I make it print in black and white.  It is defaulted to print in color but I would like to switch it.

I wanted to let you know that I have a D110 and am having the exact same problem.  I successfully printed a coupon for the app but when I try to go to the personal care catagory is makes me turn the printer off and on again.  Was really looking forward to this app!

  • Coupon Apps and How they work...

I would like a coupon app, but am confused about how they work?  Do you scan the barcoad of an item at the store and see if it finds a coupon for you?  And if a coupon is found, does it display a coupon for you to use at the register when you pay?
For those of you that are using a coupon app, could you explain how it works?  I would appreciate it.

I have used the old MyCoups app. The bar code was not available then. To get coupons, what I did was I sent them to my email address. After they were on my email acccount I printed them out. I know the new app includes the bar code thing. You can scan a barcode and after you do that, it'll show you where you can buy it

  • When I go to my coupons app no coupons show up

Hi  my coupons app tells me to customize my we content at the eprint website, I am Online everything checks out OK. Why does the app not work?

    Hello Raet,
Depending on your printer, you may need to:
Sign into the HP ePrint Center.
    Navigate to the Coupons.com app.
Click on 'Setup' and enter in your zip code.
Re-launch the app on your printer for the app to load with your area's coupons.

  • No apps avail. for my Photosmart B210?

The only apps I am able to access are those that came with my new printer.  Further, I am unable to customize the weather and coupon apps.
I thank you in advance for your time.

If your printer supports adding print apps directly from your printer:
Go to your printer front panel and look under the Get More and Add More options.
If your printer supports adding print apps from this website:Browse print apps
Make sure you are logged into this website, then go to the Apps tab and look under the sub-tab called My Apps. In most cases, this tab will display all print apps installed on your device. You can then switch to the sub-tab called Get More to view and install other apps. If the My Apps tab does not display the apps installed on your device, you must use the Get More or Add More options on your printer to view/add available print apps.

  • I can't connect or print wireless

I have the hp photosmart c4780 and I used the USB wire to connect it to my computer after installing the software off the internet as I lost the software it originally came with. So with that being said, on my little Eee asus netbook windows 7 I can print with the printer when it's connected via USB only! Also I use my printer mainly for printing coupons or documents, and if anyone's familiar with <a href="http://www.coupons.com" target="_blank">www.coupons.com</a> then you'll know they have an app for most all tablets and smart phones and so I downloaded it on both my ipad 2nd generation and my iPad mini, and I was able to print coupons wirelessly via the coupons app only, not via the <a href="http://www.coupons.com" target="_blank">www.coupons.com</a> through my safari browser. So I'm just not sure why I can't get it to connect wirelessly, when I went through the installation and set up process I went through the option of switching to wireless rather than USB and I thought it went smoothly but any other way I try to print from my computers or iPads it will say that the printer isn't discovered. I've also made an account with th hp connect, I've got the eprint hp app on both iPads and I'm having no luck! Also, my printer is just now I'm noticing also, offline i dont know how that happened, but when I printed the wireless network test report along the top it's saying that &quot; MAC ADDRESS FILTERING MAY BE ENABLED ON YOUR WIRELESS ROUTER, THIS CANT PREVENT YOUR PRINTER FRIM CONNECTING TO YOUR WIRELESS NETOWRK DURING SETUP. IF YOU DO HAVE MAC ADDRESS FILTERING ENABLED AND WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT ENABLED YOU MUST ADD THE MAC ADDRESS OF YOUR PRINTER TO THE LIST OF PERMITTED DECICES FOR YOUR WIRELESS ROUTER BEFORE CONTINUING. THE MAC ADDRESS FOR YOUR PRINTER CAN BE FOUND ON THIS TEST REPORT.***&quot;<br>And I can see below on the print out where my MAC address is, however this isn't helpful because I don't know what MAC address filtering means nor if it's bad or good, or how I can change it accordingly. And in the diagnostics summary below it says NO FILTERING: FAIL<br>I'm unsure as to what that means?<br>So if anyone can help me I'd so greatly appreciate it,<br>I also tried to find that claim code that I was supposed to be able to find when i do the print out on my printer and I can't see it on the test report or the configuration page.<br>So, so far I've just reset the printer itself to default settings. And from here...well...as you can see..<br>I NEED HELP!?!?<br>Please and thank you!

    Hi HBS4026,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I think that the root issue you are experiencing is the printer is not connected to your wireless network, and as a result you are running into several issues.
wikiHow’s How to Find the MAC Address of Your Computer has a nice and non-techie description of what a MAC address is and how to find it.  By turning on the MAC filtering for your router, is a way of telling your router that only the devices with an approved MAC address will be allowed to connect to your network.
Most customers with home wireless networks don’t use this feature, as it can take more time to maintain than a person would like to give.  It requires that you add/maintain the MAC address of any device that will be connecting your to network, including, but not limited to, iPads, tablets, Smartphones, iPhones, computers, laptops, etc.
Please start by turning the router off. If your router doesn’t have an on/off switch, please disconnect the power cord.  After waiting a full 60 seconds please turn the power back on (or plug the power cord back in).  Hopefully the network test report will give us a pass on No Filtering.
If MAC filtering is turned on (I suspect it is on) and you don’t want to use this feature, please contact the manufacturer of your router on how to turn this off.    I do think this is the root of your connectivity issues.
Once you have confirmed that MAC filtering is off  we should be able to get everything working wirelessly by following the information below.
Let’s start with your Windows 7 laptop.  I’ve included the How Do I Find the Best Windows 7 or Windows 8 Driver for My Printer? document.  It will walk you through downloading HP’s Printer Install Wizard.  This will also help you connect the printer to your wireless network while ensuring you have the right driver for your printer.
Once you’re printing from your laptop wirelessly, please try test printing something from the notes app on your iPad.  If your router supports Bonjour, the communication method for Apple’s AirPrint feature, you should have no problems printing.  If you are unsure, I have included a post by Shirlzz1 that will walk you through downloading an app to check.
As for printing from coupons.com using the Safari browser on your iPad it comes down that the iPad is considered a mobile device requiring the app as an interface.
I think I’ve addressed everything that is plaguing you.  If I haven’t please let me know.  In addition, if anything goes askew while doing the above, please let me know at which step things went wonky and the contents of any error messages and where they were displayed.

  • *Fix* Usage and Standby Times are the same - iPhone 4S 7.0.4

I'd like to share my experience here because I actually found the solution on here but I'm actually having trouble finding it again.
    I had three problems:
    1. My standby and usage times were always reporting the same values, thus draining my battery faster than usual. This is not normal behavior; whenever the screen is off it should report standby times, and after the phone is unlocked it is considered usage. They should never be recording in tangent.
    2. Whenever I would try to turn off my phone by holding down the power button, the phone would basically restart itself, showing the Apple logo boot screen and then restarting. The only caveat was that it would turn off if it was plugged in and being charged. But take it off the charger and try to replicate it turning off and it would restart.
    3. The sound would sometimes think that it was connected to a Dock, so when I went to the Airplay options, they were listed as Dock Connector, Airport Express and Apple TV. There would be no volume slider in the Control Center, and when pressing the volume buttons, there would be no dots, just the bell with a line through it.
Many people might be having genuine battery issues, where you have an older phone and your battery is just really bad and needs to be replaced. My 4S was still under AppleCare in December 2013 and the battery was pretty bad, so I had it replaced in an Apple Store. So for me, the battery life itself was not the problem.
I tried a lot of things to try and fix the above problem but none of them helped. This includes chatting with Apple support (I was surprised they didn't steer me in an obvious direction, considering the large amount of folks who were having these kinds of problems, but they played dumb), restoring fresh and restoring icloud and itunes backups, all kinds of combinations of settings for Mail, iCloud, etc., but nothing worked. I probably restored my phone at least ten times in my troubleshooting efforts. The isolated test of restoring my phone fresh, setting it up to the start screen, making sure the battery was charged 100% and taking it off the charger waiting about 10 minutes. Then I would check standby and usage times.
I had read about fixes for the phone not being able to turn completely off, and it had something to do with cleaning the charging port. I attempted to clean the port with compressed air and other methods, but it never fixed this problem. Then I read a post on Apple Support about a guy who had the exact same problems as I did, then said he changed out his charging port and this fixed it. Well, it was $40 so I paid someone to do it in 45 minutes.
After I got my phone back the problem didn't appeared to be fixed, but after a restore and even with an icloud backup restored with it, I looked down at my phone and presto chango, the times where separate and working as they should. Last night with wifi off while I was sleeping, the battery only went down 3%. I know this is turning out to be a narrative, but I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the problem was and it was a frustrating process. I'm happy it's resolved.
Apple Support thought it was a corrupt install package from iTunes, or some kind of software glitch or maybe some part of iCloud constantly trying to call home, but it was a combination of both hardware and software. Because of the bad charging port, for some reason the phone thought it was still being used and thus was still treating standby as usage.
I would encourage those that are having this problem to do a test and see if your phone will turn off when you want it to. If it resets automatically and if your standby usage times are the same, replacing the charging port might fix it.

Ever since iOS7.0.6. and still on iOS7.1 both me and my wife had huge battery drain on our iPhone 4S and stand-by was equal to usage time. We finally found the solution to a post of another user on the Dutch Tweakers forum. There seem to be a bug within a certain Dutch coupon app called 'Scoupy' which drained the battery completely although GPS setting was turned of and also 'refresh on background' was off.
Scoupy said that a fix for their app is send for approval to the App Store. We removed the app and our usage/stand-by time is again as normal (higher stand-by time then usage time) and best of all a 'normal' battery use as it was the case on iOS7.0.4. I hope this could help someone. I'm wondering if the iBeacon changes in iOS7.0.6/7.1 together with a bug in the Scoupy app could be the cause? Maybe this is also with our similar apps you have on your phone.

  • Problem printing color only prints Black

My printer does not print the colors it shows in the display that they in and installed correctly but do not print out on the info page .It only prints out black.Example if I print a coupon the stuff on it that is in color is just blank

    Hello @Big_Show,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're not able to print in colour when printing to your HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer from your Ipad. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. First, I'm going to have you run a test to verify if this is a printer issue or a driver setting issue.
Step 1: Print a Print Quality Diagnostics Report:
    1. Load letter or A4, unused, plain white paper into the input tray
    2. On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display the second navigation screen
    3. Touch the Setup icon (). The Setup Menu displays.
    4. Touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.
    5. Touch Print Quality Report. The print quality report prints.
If this report prints perfectly, than your colour printing issue is due to a setting conflict on your Ipad. On your Ipad can you open Safari and go to www.google.com. When the Google page shows, try to print that to verify if colours are printing from your Ipad or not. If the colour printing issue is only affecting coupons, than this is most likely a security feature. There generally is specific coupon apps that you can download that support coupon printing.
If this report prints with no colours, than you are experiencing a hardware print system issue. Can you please click here and run through the print quality troubleshooting steps provided.
Please let me know if the steps I've provided resolve your colour printing issue. Should you still be experiencing colour print issues be sure to let me know how your Print Quality Diagnostic Report printed. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Iphone 4s - 7.0.4 issues remain with volume and shut downs

I have been unsuccessful in enjoying a fully functional phone ever since upgrading to the original iOS 7 operating system.   At first it was just a volume problem where phone's volume would go from working fine to no sound back to working fine completely intermittently.  I was told to upgrade to the newest version, which I did ... from 0.2 to 0.3 and now to 0.4.
I continue to have the same problems.  and as of edition 0.3, my shut-down button no longer shuts down ... it only restarts, so my phone is on continuously even when I want it off.
Are there any signs that my phone will work again as intended eventually ?????  Or are there any fixes or new settings that I don't know about that can resolve these issues?
    Terri

My printer prints out coupons every couple of days. I have had to replace ink numerous times because of this. Does anyone know how to stop the coupons from printing automatically? Thanks

    Hi CJA4,
I understand that your printer is printing coupons.  I have a couple of questions for you.
    Have you setup ePrint?
Did you setup the coupon app to print automatically?

  • Other people's pictures showing up on phone

    Hi,
I have a bit of an usual mystery to solve. A few weeks ago my mom noticed pictures of strangers showing up in her gallery. Oddly, they appear to have been taken in a foreign country, as one picture shows a road sign in what appears to be Russian (?).  There was a grand total of 63 of them. According to the gallery, 1 pic was taken on July 27th, and the rest on August 5th. The pictures are stored in what appears to be the normal picture directory for the phone (My Files > Internal Storage > DCIM > .thumbnails), alongside the pics she has taken herself. My original hunch is that some sort of photo sharing app is to blame. She first noticed these pictures during a family vacation. We were in a touristy area, and so it is possible we walked past vacationers from different countries who happened to have some sort of wireless photo sharing app enabled on their phone. However, looking over the apps on my moms phone, there are no obvious photo sharers. One thing that does look suspicious is the "Media Share" setting inside of the Gallery app. However, it was not turned on when I went into it (and I assume, by default, is turned off). I highly doubt my mom is capable of turning it on herself (she is not tech saavy). Furthermore, even if it was turned on by her accidentally, it's set to only connect to trusted devices, and will only work over Wifi (To my knowledge, her phone never connected to a public wifi network while we were vacationing - which is also strange, wouldn't most apps wait to transfer 63 pictures over wifi to conserve cellular data?). And actually, to my knowledge her phone has never connected to a wifi network at all, not even our home network because she uses it so little. Any ideas as to what caused this?
A few other bits of info:
-My mom has not set up any social networking accounts, so it is not something synching from there
-She has not opened any strange emails with attachments
-Her downloaded apps consist of running apps (eg MapMyRun), coupon apps (groupon), and popular apps like pandora and hotmail. Nothing that is explicitly related to photos or media.
-She has not noticed anything else that is out of the ordinary on her phone

The phone was purchased from our local Verizon "Premium Retailer". It was sold to her as a new phone, and I have no reason to believe that the salesperson would deceive her with a used one. By the way, we did have the folks at that store take a look at it the other day. They were very nice, but were equally puzzled, and couldn't come to a resolution. The memory card in the phone is the original, it is not new. To my knowledge, and to hers, the card has never been removed (and there is really no reason for it to have been removed in the first place). I know that the pictures can be removed, which is good, but I'm interested in figuring out how this actually happened, and if it could happen again. Is there any way to tell where a picture file came from? I know that pictures sometimes contain location data, or information about the camera used, but is there anything else that could be a hint?
