  • When clicking on course details receive error " Error: Cannot Display Page"

    Error: Cannot Display Page
You cannot complete this task because one of the following events caused a loss of page data:
You accessed this page using the browser's navigation buttons (the browser Back button, for example).
    Your login session has expired.
    A system failure has occurred.
To proceed, please select the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu. Then, access this page again using the application's navigation controls (menu, links, and so on) instead of using the browser's navigation controls like Back and Forward.
We are not using any back buttons and our sessions are not expired. Users in the past (last week) have been able to access this. They are not aware of any changes made by any super administrators. Does anyone know if this is data corruption or any possible configuration that may have been done to cause this error?
If not I will have to open up an SR and provide a trace.
    thanks,
    Bryan

Hi Anne we are on 12.1.1. It is not a backbutton or a re-direct from what I can tell because it is only happening with Two courses. It is using a custom responsibility of ours to get to the course under the catalog. However, I can also reproduce from the training administrator seeded responsibilities. It seems to be just two of our courses and others are working fine. I have asked the users if they made any changes to these courses and they have stated that they did not. They are going to the course through the catalog, clicking on the details button of that course and the error is displayed.

Thanks1) Check your personal details on Perason VUE are up to date (if you registered on Peaarson VUE)
    2) Check you profile details on Certview are correct (if you haven;t registerd on Certview do so immediately).
.... These are better described in the support/FAQs at [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=99]
    3) The key page describing this process is the Oracle Certification Program - Course Submission Form page:
........ I think the ocpexam_ww is now the thing to use:
HOWEVER BEFORE YOU DO THESE THINGS:
testsys.com seems to be very important to you in this. I fail to see why this is.
Your hands on course must be one of those listed on pages referenced from for your certification [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=112] and it must be delivered by one of the institutions listed on this page. If this is not the case you may have problems ... see [http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2009/04/are_you_getting_your_training.html]. Somehow I do not see testsys.com meeting this (but I could be wrong).
Feel free to add a little more feedback to this post. You may wish to wait a couple of days to see if the certification forum moderator responds to this post (often ... but not mandatorily visits the forum every few days). Please dont leave any person info here, particularly your Oracle Testing Id.

  • Cost of LabVIEW Exam in India and course details.

    Hi
I am planning to take the LabVIEW exam, I want to know the cost of exam.
is LabVIEW Basics I and II manual are sufficient for the preparation of the
exam as we have have them in the LabVIEW Academy.
What is difference between LabVIEW Core I , II (mentioned in the syllabous material of CLAD Exam)  and LabVIEW basics I and Basics II

    Hi illa,
Ray is right, the best way to get pricing and scheduling information is to contact the NI India branch directly.
However, as to your other questions:
LabVIEW Basics is a previous version of the LabVIEW Training Courses. You can check the front of the manuals to see what version of LabVIEW the course materials cover, but I believe it is LabVIEW Version 8.5 or 8.6, which is about 4 versions back.
Because the certification exam tests over the latest version of LabVIEW, 2011 in this case, you will find a few differences- for example, the appearance of variables and boolean constants off the top of my head. You can go online on ni.com and search for "What's new in LabVIEW" and a number of links worth purusing pop up: What's New in LabVIEW 2011? What's New in LabVIEW 2011/features
However, I wouldn't spend too much time on this, as it will probably only impact a few questions.
When we moved from Basics to LabVIEW Core Training, we shuffled topics around for a better user experience. For instance: Event Structures used to be in LabVIEW Intermediate 1, but can now be found in LabVIEW Core 2.  You will therefore what to do a topic comparison, as I describe below.
That being said, the LabVIEW Basics 1&2 manuals will still be a great way to familiarize yourself with the LabVIEW Programming environment. I recommend the following plan to prep for the CLAD:
Read through the LabVIEW Basics 1&2 concepts manual to familiarize yourself with the properties of LabVIEW objects and the proper terminology for things. For example, this will teach you that arrays are indexed from 0 and the red dot that sometimes appears on a terminal when you have a type mismatch is called a "Coercion Dot."
Work through the exercises and practice programming so you get used to the LabVIEW Environment and tools.
When you have completed that course compare the LabVIEW Core 1 and LabVIEW Core 2 Course Outlines, which lists the lesson titles, to the lessons in Basics 1&2. This should give you an idea of any topics you may be missing. A search on ni.com or in the LabVIEW Help should be able to fill in any holes. (event structure)
Finally, review the CLAD Preparation Guide's list of Topics and Subtopics to make sure you are familiar with everything you may be tested on.
After you know the material, this Discussion Forum has other posts on preparing for the exam. You can watch the Preparation webcasts and try the 2 Sample exams to get a feel for the type of questions you will be asked. And there are some helpful blogs we have listed.

    HI,
I've created the prices in IT 1021 using LSO_PSV2, the price is not coming. I've found a SAP note that I'm trying to apply that tells me there is something wrong with this field in my current SAP version.

  • Email on Training and Event Management

    Dear all,
I would like to know are there any email supported in Training and Event Management Module.
For example, after HR administrator help book courses for staff, system will trigger an email notification to staff mailbox with certain course detail information
    Regards
    Bill

    Hi Bill,
In your case the event for triggering the email notifications will be when the booking is done. So before booking, for the object like Business event type and/or business event group some relationship exits. Once you do a booking of course, additional relationship will be created in different objects. Not exactly sure about the relationship code, but you can easily find out from hrp1001.
So yoor program will check for this partcular relationship, and if it exists then will send mail notifications.
    Thanks!

  • IPod nano: first impressions after 2 days of use

I recently got an iPod nano, 1GB, black. Just thought I'd post my experience with it so far:
unbelievably small... aside from pictures on the internet I never saw a life-sized one. Nearly fits in the palm of my hand (but I've got big hands).
    Design:
very slick. I don't have to be ashamed when someone asks me to show it. Usually I carry it in my inside pockets though, to prevent loss or pickpocketery. It's nice that it's small enough to put almost anywhere.
    Durability:
not much to say, haven't had it long enough yet. One thing I can say it that it attracts dust... a lot. Also smudges very easily. Definitely get a case for it if you hate that it's dirty. I got myself a case called 'marware sport convertible', and I'm really happy with it. Except that the plastic screen on the front also gets dirty very easily. That's probably also because my hands sweat easily.
    Interface:
bright any colorful screen, perfectly readable with backlight, and still readable without backlight, if you
can let the light fall on it. Copied a couple of travel photos to the ipod. Surprisingly clear on the small screen. Of course details get lost but still gives you a very good impression.
Playback very easy to control. I had some trouble getting used to the click wheel at first, but now I'm LOVING it. Not just because it allows you to quickly browse through a list, but also because it doesn't matter which side your thumb is on to control this. Smart pre-sets, for example giving the volume control preference when using the click-wheel.
    Technology:
All of my mp3's are encoded at high bitrates, 192kbs or higher. In retrospect, 1GB is a bit small for me, so perhaps I'd better have picked a 2GB model. Of course that's not Apple's fault.
I wish you could just drag mp3's from your hard disk to a folder 'mp3' on ipod, just like you can do with 'notes' (txt files basically). I use Amarok (Linux multimedia player) to transfer music ATM. I'm not a big fan of DRM' so I prefer plain old mp3. Or Ogg Vorbis, but that's not very practical in most cases.
Battery life is nice... I used it almost all day, when commuting and at work. It's really annoying that no adapter for recharging it through the light net is included; not everyone always has access to a computer with USB port. A case isn't included either. IMO these are two must-have accessories. One to be sure you can always charge it, the other to prevent scratches, damage, and smudges/dirt. So I got both.
    Sound quality:
Great quality. I like how you can get a very loud volume, for those times when I'm in the train and there's a lot of background noise. Also, I read reviews of people cursing the earphones to heck, but I actually think they sound very good? I plugged in some earphones from Sony, not the most expensive, but not the cheapest ones either, and the ones from Apple clearly sounded much better. Only thing I'm sorry about is that the color of the headphones and its cable doesn't match the color of my iPod and case.
    Overall:
I'm very happy with it. But I'm also extremely relieved I decided to get a protective case for it! Takes away a lot of worries. I give it 4.5 'Darkelve' stars out of 5
PC   Windows XP   Dual-boot with SuSe 10.1

I agree with you on the wallsocket charging thing, it's a must have, really. The case is a different thing.
People would get stuck with a generic case, and not have one they liked. Now, you can buy whatever color/shape you want, without hassle.
The reason I got a white one: the earplhones, the radioremote and all other things are white. If black ones were included/available, I'd have gotten a black one.
Oh, and I have mine 1.5 months now, and am as happy as a clam. I used to have a portable CDplayer with MP3 capabilities, but it was HUGE. This fits in my shirt pocket, doesn't have any moving parts (no skipping when running), and is just about as cool as it can get.
