Course manager iTunesU error

I created an iTunesU account in the Course Manager as an independent instructor (my college does not have an iTunesU account). I can log in to course manager but the only  thing I can see is the Instructor Info page, my institution has been cleared, and I'm asked to accept the terms and conditions again.  I fill in everything and agree to the terms and conditions and I get the the message: "'Course Manager had an Error' click to reload."  When I click to reload it I'm taken back to the instructor info page and what I had just entered is gone
I was trying to create a profile using another Apple ID with @icloud.com or @liceorespighi.it , but it is the same situation!!!!!
Someone could help me. Thanks

I had this issue too. It seems to have gone away on it's own, although Apple has assured me they are still looking into the problem.

  • Course Manager Profile Error

I'm trying to create an iTunesU account in the Course Manager as an independent instructor (my college does not have an iTunesU account). I get an error every time I try to create the profile. I've resized the picture to be exactly 300x300 pixels; I've also tried 350x350 pixels and 600x600 pixels. I do not have any extensions in Safari or Firefox and get the same error on both browsers. I'm running OS 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.7.
    Thank you!

I solved my own problem. I was trying to create a Course Manager profile using an Apple ID with @gmail.com. I have another Apple ID with @me.com and that worked no problem. Go figure. Hope this helps someone.

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

    If no joy...
    Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

  • ITune U Course Manager Error Message

I am trying to update my course info by adding a picture and editing the course description.  When I click on save I always get the error message:
Courese Manager has encountered an error.
Then I have to reload the course manager which means my changes weren't applied.  Any ideas how to get around this?
I have the latest OS.  One thing I am wondering about is if having Microsoft Silverlight on my computer might be affecting this?  I need this for a brief time for work so I can dump it in a couple weeks.

we have the same problem! Why they do not share information about this! Have been looking all day for more information.

  • ITunesU Course Manager scrolling problem

I am using the Italian version of iTunes Course Manager on Safari. The current version does not allow vertical scrolling (using mouse or arrows) of the left-side course page window. So I can see a certain number of course pages, but not scroll below to see more. I also tried on another (more recent) Mac computer. Same problem. I can see all my course pages on an iPad, but of course I cannot modify them there. Could it be a software error?

I have this question too.  Having looked at the support documentation it seems that you can't directly create assessments in Course Manager, but the iBooks Author tool has a simple MCQ question tool that allows you to create review questions which you could link to to from within a course page, or post.  The question marks aren't recorded however within iBooks, so can't be used by an instructor as a reference on how well their students are doing.

  • I can't log in to course manager anymore. It says "error occurred"

    Hello,
I wanted to log in to Itunes U course Manager and since yesterday
I've noticed that I can't log in anymore. It's certainly not an Apple ID
or password error. It tries to log in en then I get :
An error occurred - try again.
Does anyone know how I could fix this?
    Thank you
    François

    Hey Ximenalp,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines the error message you are receiving, along with a potential resolution:
    iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297
    "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023"
These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while accessing iTunes Store:
See iTunes 9: "One Moment Please" or "Error (-50)" message when accessing iTunes Store
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • How do I get my Course Manager to display in English and not German?

My company is registered in both Germany and United Kingdom, and conduct business mainly in English Language. I signed up for iTunesU in order to create courses to share on iTunesU on behalf of my college. However, each time I insert the link below to go to the Course Manager panel:
    coursemanager.itunes.apple.com
    the site redirectly automatically to
    itunesu.itunes.apple.com/coursemanager/de-de/
which displays everything in German instead of in English. This has been a huge hindrance and costing me loads of time trying to figure out how to get the Course Manager platform in English. There are only very few menus in the Course Manager and there is no route to changing the language. I would appreciate any assistance with this.

  • Share link in iTunes Course Manager to private course not working on iPad

I have tried several times to create a test course in iTunes U Course Manager -- can do this -- then send the link to myself for previewing on my iPad.
The error message I keep getting is that "Cannot connect to iTunes Store."
However, I can connect to the iTunes through that iTunes Store App.  I also have installed the iTune U app and can add content to that for myself.
I want to test out the iTune U Course Manager privately before deciding if we might use across several charter school we manage.
Is anyone else having the same problem and/or does anyone know how to fix???

  • HT5113 Why does the course manager not open on my PC but does on my Mac?

Cannot access the course manager from my PC running windows 7 and ie9.

Right-click or Control-click on the icon for TextEdit in the Dock. In the popup menu that appears, go to the Options submenu and if the item "Open at Login" is checkmarked, select it to uncheck that item.
Then repeat, and if the item "Remove from Dock" is shown in the Options submenu, select it.
