Cover art on mac not match phone

I have had an issue with album artwork on my MacBook Pro not matching the artwork on my phone for 2 albums only.
MacBook has it correct, but phone shows completely different art, and both misaligned albums share the same art on phone as another album.
Phone: Album A and B have same art as album C, where album C is correct and album A and B incorrect.
I have gone into album info and manually added the correct cover art on computer, but phone still shows album C art.
Any suggestions?

Cover Flow Artist name not matching to Portrait Artist name

I noticed the problem/issue I have the recent update which is 1.1.3. I just bought my touch 3 days ago. In "portrait" orientation, the artist names update correctly, but not in the "coverflow" orientation. If I switch to portrait and then back to coverflow, it shows correctly. Postcode does not match phone number

Have BT broadband and would like to switch provider but unable to do so because postcode is incorrect on broadband register. Can anybody help to rectify this - have spoken to BT on a number of occasions, operator says it will be changed but nothing happens.

Several questions:
1. If you have a BT Bill, what postcode have you for the telephone account you have ? (No need to give this just confirm you have it)
2. Is the Postcode in 1. the same on the Royal Mail database ? You can check this online.
3. I assume that you mean by the "broadband register" the OpenReach database. Is this correct ?
4. If 3. is not correct how is the incorrect postcode being detected ?

Art does not match Song/Artist

I sync my iPod with the home computer. Today at work it was running low on battery so I conected it to the office computer (not the same as home) just to charge, obviously not sync. I have done this several times with no issues afterwards.
After it charged, I disconnected and started using and noticed that the art displayed did not match the song. I played several songs and the same problem. I tried a soft reset, did not work.
Any ideas? Thanks!!!

I can't promise this is going to work, but you can give it a try.
1. In iTunes, select your Ipod under Devices.
2. In the Music tab, clear the Display album artwork on your iPod, and then click Apply.
3. Reselect the check box and click Apply.
This worked for me when the artwork stopped displaying.

Art work not matching when using home sharing on ipad

it seems as of recently the video art work is not matching when i use home sharing on my ipad 2. i seemed to notice this about a week ago, up till then the art work matched. the art work is correct on my apple tv 2. it seems to be an ipad issue. i have tried resetting the ipad but all that does is shuffle the art work around again.
any idea as to how to fix this? many thanks in advance.

I figured out my own problem. Thanks dmule you're a genius. All I had to do was turn off home sharing on my iPad and then turn it back on. Now all the video art work matches their proper movies.

Importing cover art - charges?

I've just started importing music into my Mac.
One option is to also import cover art. To do this, Apple requires that you have an iTunes Music Store account. This seems to imply that Apple charges for imported cover art (why require the account otherwise?), but I have not been able to find out whether this is true or not.
I wasn't intending on creating a music store account, nor do I want to provide credit card info online.
Please, is there a charge for importing cover art?
If not, then is it possible to create a music store account without providing credit card info?

Cover art is free, but you must have a store account. There's a couple of ways to do this: set up the account, then go back & delete the CC information, or buy an iTunes gift card to set up the account.

My album artwork does not match the song in my playlists

After making playlists with music purchased from itunes in my music app, the art work does not match the title of the song / album. How can I fix this problem?

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with Album Artwork on your iPhone 5. To troubleshoot this issue, it may be best to completely resync your iPhone with iTunes. To do so, uncheck the "Sync Music" checkbox, and apply the changes (so there is ultimately no music syncing to your iPhone).
Once you have done that, recheck the "Sync Music" checkbox, and apply the changes. This will instruct iTunes to completely remove all music from your iPhone, and then copy the files once more. If you have a large amount of music, this initial sync may take a while.
If the above does not resolve your issue, it may be necessary to restore your iPhone:

Cannot See Multiple Cover Art Anymore

Cannot see multiple cover artwork since I upgraded to iTunes 10.5.1. I used to be able to see more then one art cover for a song. Now there's no arrow button in the artwork box to scroll through other covers, even though the multiple cover art is in the info box of the song Track.

iTunes 10.6 did not restore the scroll arrows in the art work box either. The scroll arrows appear briefly when you
add additional art work. I wish Apple would say whether or not they plan to restore this feature. I have invested a l
lot of time and effort in adding cover art and liner notes to my iTunes library and I am certainly not the only
one who has. I don't understand the lack of a fix or the silence about the loss of this feature. Anyone out there
have any thoughs about this?

Movies do not run and cover art is missing in iTunes Mac after sync with iPad

I down load purchased movies from Apple to my iPad. The movies runs fine and cover art is visible. Great. However, after I sync with my Mac Mini, the cover art on my iPad is missing. The cover art in the iTunes library on my Mac Mini is missing, and the movies won't run on the Mac Mini. Whe I re-sync, I get a message that says the movie can't sync because it can't be found.

Is your album cover issue resolved?
If not, have you perhaps tried to disable iTunes Match on your iPhone (in Settings) and signed out of your Apple ID (on the phone)? This might work.
The issue seems to be that the iTunes Match server does not update all the tracks with the new album cover art, particularly if you added the covers some time after importing the CD's (remember then that there was no cover art on some of them!)
Another possible solution is to rename the iTunes database (.itl file) by appending say "old" (without the quotes) and recreate a new one with maybe 1 or 2 albums, wait for the server to match the tracks (you can check on your iPhone after disabling and then re-enabling iTunes Match on the phone), then delete the 1 or 2 albums so that the iTunes music library is empty and wait again; you can check the iPhone again.
Finally, quit iTunes, delete the latest database and rename the original database with its original name (by removing the "old" appendage).
Then let iTunes Match reload the server with all the information: this might take a few minutes (hours?) depending on the size of the library.
In the meantime you can remove all the music on the iPhone by disabling iTunes Match in the phone's settings.

I am a PC user using 3 PCs w/ iTunes Match. 2 of my PCs sync fine, but my new PC (used to remove duplicates, cover art, update playlists) does not sync with Match. Whats the problem?

So, to begin I own 3 PCs and the latest iPad/iPhone running iTunes on all 3 PCs. For simplicity, I will refer to the PCs as old, laptop, and new.
My laptop was my primary PC which i used to set up iTunes match. The old PC had all of my music files which have appeared to have been uploaded to Match. Note that I had already transferred most (if not all) of the music to my laptop but I enabled match so that I could download new files to my old PC. Note that I did quite a bit of cleaning, retagging, and ordering files and that I was told by Apple that Match would recognize duplicates, and as such, would not upload these files to the cloud in Match (this does not appear to be the case, however). My laptop PC (originally set up on Match) indicates there are alot of files in the clould (Match) to download. These seem to be duplicate files which were already cleaned on the Laptop and were uploaded on the old PC machine. Thus, it appears that Apples matching alogorythm is not strong enough to detect minor differences (i.e. cover art) in files and decides to upload them anyway (quite annonying if you ask me).
Now, to my problem; I purchased a new PC and have been removing the last duplicate songs, updating cover-art, playlists, among other things. My new PC (which I will refer to as "new") is not recognized by iTunes Match. I have tried uninstalling each app associated with iTunes, starting fresh with a new playlist and library to no avail.
Has anyone else had this problem? Apple Care does not seem to have much knowledge about Match, which is a bit frustrating. All I wish to do is tell Match that my New PC should be the primary PC which will be used to deliver playlists, music, etc since the other 2 machines have many duplicates and the playlists have errors within them. I thought about these solutions (none of which are no appealing) 1) using the laptop as my primary iTunes Match PC since this was the PC Match was created on (this would require rebuilding playlists and removing a massive amount of duplicates, again), 2) creating a new iTunes Match account based on my New PC (basically starting over), 3) forgetting Match all together and going back to the old school store & sync.
Anyone have better ideas or experiencing similar issues? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thx!

After going by elimination to isolate if the problem was from (1) iTunes app, (2) my computer or (3) my old iPhone 4G, I figured out what my problem was.
1) First I deleted & reinstalled iTunes on my Windows PC without succes, my playlist did not changed on my iPhone.
2) I tested a successful #sync from the iMac at work.
So my conclusion is: The hard drive on my Windows PC is full and that is affecting iTunes SYNC functionalities.
So I'll do a back-up then run a "Clean Install" of my Windows OS, hoping that it will fix my SYNC problems.

Movie Cover-Art Does Not Match Movie When Sharing On iPad?

The movies that are on my iTunes display properly. The movie cover-art matches the actual movie.
I turned on sharing in iTunes and when I select Video > Sharing on the iPad The Cover-Arts do not match
the actual movie it represents?
Seems to look right on my AppleTV and on my iPhone but not the iPad. I also noticed that when I select the
the sharing icon on the iPad it loads it way faster than before. I am thinking that it's loading it from bad cache.
Is there a way to have it actually reload the data or clear its cache?
What I have tried;
I have re-booted the iPad and that did not work.
I have also turned sharing off and on on iTunes and that did not work

Music on external drive. Use I Tunes to organize. Stream to TV and home stereo through Mac Book and Apple TV. Updated to Mavericks operating system. Now Many times art does not match song or music stops playing altogether. Any ideas ?

REMOTE app on iPhone does not display Cover Art

I use the Apple REMOTE App on my iPhone to control my iTunes music library on a Mac. The REMOTE App controls the iTunes playback properly. However, the Cover Art for each song does not display on the "song" screen - showing the song currently playing. Across my iPhone screen (where the Cover Art should appear) are the words containing album of the song). The name of the song and album correctly appear at the top of the screen.
What is interesting is that when I hit the back arrow (left side top on song screen), all of the Cover Art appears in small thumbnails. The Cover Art also appears in other displays (for example, the currently-playing Album) using REMOTE on my iPhone. This means that the cover art is being transmitted to my iPhone - HOWEVER IT DOES NOT DISPLAY ON THE SONG SCREEN.
Can anyone kindly help me resolve this - because I would really like the Cover Art to display properly on the song screen. Thank you. Dale

Nezmo, This is really unbelievable. I have suffered from the issue I described for SEVERAL YEARS. Today, for some reason I decided to make this post on the Apple discussion board. And, today the issue was fixed by Apple. I just downloaded the update to the REMOTE app and the cover art now shows beautifully on my iPhone 6 plus. Thanks. Dale

I am unable to update my album art on my iMac since I started using Match (and after upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.3). A message advises that it's not possible to removed old artwork if it's embedded. How can I 'unembed' old cover art and replace?

Normally artwork recovered with iTunes is stored as a separate artwork file and iTunes refers to that file to display artwork when you click on a track. However, if you then copy the file to another player the artwork file is left behind and the track will not display the artwork on the other player. To get around this it is possible to embed the artwork in the music file itself so it always travels with the file. Artwork can be embedded by you or files from third party sources may arrive with embedded artwork. iTunes apparently now won't replace artwork for such files. You can accomplish this by completely deleting artwork for a file or set of files in Get Info, then getting iTunes to fetch artwork which will then be set as a reference file rather than being embedded.
I use an old iTunes so unless you are using an ancient iTunes it won't help for me to give you great details. To erase artwork I simply get info on a series of files and check the box next to the artwork box without adding any artwork and close. To do it for single file I Get Info, go to the artwork display tab and click delete. Here's a Windows reference for a newer iTunes (but the "old Get Info" reference is for early iTunes 12 and no longer works with newer):I cannot delete embedded album artwork in iTunes 12

After the IOS7 updates, when we are viewing music videos on my phones I can no longer turn the phone horizontal to see a bigger viewing of the video. I can only see it widescreen in vertical mode which is much smaller. Now when you turn it sideways, it pops up album cover art and I hate that. Is there a way to fix that?

We are just users like you and don't know why Apple does what it does. This is not a place to "vent," it is a place to ask technical questions.
