Cover artwork, the be-all and end all?!

Just spent the day with my Napster hard drive (yes, t'was old) and Itunes. I believe I have found the reason for the problems with cover artwork.
1) In general, artwork will not load if the file is a WAV.
2) Itunes does not have everything.
For the first, right click the file, choose "convert to AAC". When done, erase the WAV file. This will save a LOT of space on your Ipod, too. I suspect similar with MP3 files, but I didn't have any.
For artwork, Google Images, Amazon, and others have artwork. 300 X 300 is the size of the pane, larger will resize, but smaller will not. However, smaller will still work, it will just not fill the pane.
To insert artwork: right click the file, choose "get info" then click the "artwork" tab. Either click "add", or first "delete" then "add", and then load the image. You can also drag the image into the lower left corner where the artwork displays in Itunes, if you have this option open.
Note: artwork means just that, you do NOT need to use album cover artwork. You could use pictures of your cat, dog, or next door neighbour, as long as it's a format that is recognised by Itunes (jpg is great). You do not necessarily need square pictures, either, the pic will simply not fill the pane is all.

I found out that there is no need to convert MP3 files to obtain the same results. Do the following:
- right click on the first track
- click on "Get info"
- click on "artwork"
- right click on the picture and click on "copy"
- click "cancel"
- highlight all tracks of the album by clicking on the first track, then hold "shift" and click on the last track
- right click anywhere on the highlight and click on "get info"
- right click in the box labeled "Artwork" and click on "paste"
- click on OK.
Your artwork will be generated for all the tracks. Next time you synch your iPod, the artwork will also be tranfered.
This is something else that is not well documented in the iPod or iTunes manuals!!!!!!

SAP Work Manager 6.0 - Creating notification on mobile device (customizing the default Start and End date)

Dear all,
When I create a notification in SAP Work Manager 6.0, the notification gets created in the back-end with Start Date equal to Current Date + 1 day and End Date equal to Current Date + 3 days.
Can you advise where I can customize this behaviour, so that the Start Date is for example equal to the Current Date and End Date being 14 days in the future? Is this something that would need to be configured in Agentry Editor or within the ABAP stack?

We went this route and identified the initial values, and tried to modify those.
No impact though, as if those values are being overwritten elsewhere (whatever value we set, no change on the backend).

Hide the start time and end time in ESS portal

Experts,
We have a requirement to hide the Start time and End time on the header section of the travel request / expense sheet in the ESS portal. I have searched through the configuration and found several place to hide the start time and end time of segment yet these have no impact on the porta start and end time fields.
Please Advise.

Hi Martin,
you can achieve this with administrative personalisation. In portal content navigate to the role where you deltalinked your iView, click "preview". When a new Window for the preview is opened, notice the URL contains "&sap-config-mode=true". Now right click on the fields you want to hide and choose "enter configuration" (or the like, wording is not exact) from the context menue. The WD-UI-Element tree opens where you can directly hide/customize properties of the WD. When clicking save+exist you can also transport the alterations you did.

Try cleaning the print head with rubbing alcohol wipe, then replace your print head. Keep pushing the Ok.

Do i need separate videos to enable a user to 'Play All' (From start to end) and select certain sequences (e.g. Ceremony, Reception Speeches that start at the chosen sequence and end at the end of the rest of the video and not the sequence)?

Hi - I am obviously new to Encore but this is what I want to do.
In a wedding video I want them to be able to:
1. Play the movie from start to finish.
2. Select a sequence (say Speeches) that plays from the start of the sequence until the END of the whole video.
So do I need 1 video for the play all one, as well as the 4 sequences - Reception, Cake, Speeches, Dancing?

You can use separate videos, or a single video. The single video is easier for your desired navigation. You will find more people asking how to get the "chapter" or scene video to back to a menu when it ends, and also have a play all. So ignore the advice on those.
Single video:
Your single video goes on one Encore timeline. "Play all" is a button to the timeline, and the timeline has an end action of "last menu."
Chapter menu has 4 buttons (plus a fifth to go back to the main menu), going to each respective chapter marker. There are no end actions on the chapter markers, so when another chapter is reached, it keeps playing through just like the play all.
Multiple videos:
Each video goes on its own timeline. The end action of video one timeline is video two timeline etc. Play all is a button that goes to timeline one. The chapter menu also has a button going to chapter one, and it works the same as the play all. Each of the chapter buttons go to their respective chapter timelines.
Encore can have some issues with lags, but I don't think they affect either of these workflows. Do not rely on the Encore preview; burn a test disk and play on a DVD player.

Every time i close firefox, to re-open it i have to either log out and log back in, or i have to go through the task manager and end the proccess, otherwise it just says fire fox if already running and it wont open, how do i fix this proble??

Everytime i am finished using Firefox, if i want to go back onto the internet, i now have to either log off and then log back on. or i have to use the task manager and close the firefox process, it is extrlmely annoying as i have to do it everytime, if i try and open firefor before i do either of what i have explained it just comes up with, firefox is allready running please close all windows to open a new one, or end the process...how do i stop this message from popping up every single time i use firefox????

Hwo to obtain the DST start and end times

Hi all -
Is there a way in java to obtain the day light saving start and end times for a certain year for US?
I know that US DST changed in the year 2007 so, I am wondering if I can get correct DST start and end times for certain period before 2007 and after 2007.
I read online that JDK preserves historical DST rules so I am hoping this is possible but do not know how.

That's why I mentioned +dichotomy+ (EDIT: the english wording is +binary search+ ): set the initial date to Jan 1st, 00:00, then add 183x24 hours (half a year), if the hour has changed (which it will), there was a DST change in the first half of the year. I need help syncing my contacts between Outlook and iPhone using iTunes. I used the knowldge document and set it up to transfer my Outlook contacts to the iphone using itunes.
In contacts on the iphone I only see the email addresses.
Yet in Outlook I have email, snail mail and phone numbers.
I followed the knowledge document from iphone.
I did it once, didn't work so deleted all the contacts from the phone and tried again. Same result. I have a PC using Windows 7 64 bit.

You can't access an Exchange account via ActiveSync with the Address Book and iCal on your Mac.
You can access a MM account with Outlook on your PC at work and keep your MM email account server stored mailboxes synced between your PC at work, your iPhone, and the MM "cloud". Not sure about syncing MM contact info and calendar events with Outlook at the same time with an Exchange account.
This will not provide for syncing your Exchange account contact info and calendar events with the Addresss Book and iCal on your Mac because the accounts are separate.
You can access an Exchange account and a MM account at the same time with the iPhone's mail client, and sync contact info and calendar events over the air with both accounts at the same time. You can view combined contact info or separately for each account, and the same for calendar events.

Is there a way to enter an event time in Calendar as a reminder for me and NOT have Calendar erase it in the info as it reads it into the event start and end times?

Calendar can recognize and derive event start and end times from the text description entered. However, when it seizes on a time (start and/or end) and automatically enters it as the start and/or end time, it also (sigh) deletes the time from the text. I enter the times as reminders for me, how can one prevent them from being deleted by Calendar??
