Cover flow full size

Yet another version of iTunes (11.0.3) and still there is no cover flow function available.
I find it almost unreal how Apples developers can take away such an important functionality - to obviously many users - and persist to do so, release after release.
I guess I have not yet discovered the other flaws and bugs with this new release (11.0.3) that many of you mention in other discussions but my greatest sorrow will always be the loss of the cover flow. All the time and effort I have put in to get the right resolution of my artwork...
I always used to have the cover flow in full size as my default image on iTunes.

I believe you mean the slide show. select some items in Finder (in any view not just coverflow) and enter commandoptiony. this will get you to the slideshow view. you can also use Quicklook by hitting the space bar.

Problem with Cover Flow full screen view in 10.6

I like to use the Cover Flow full screen view in iTunes on my monitor. Since upgrading to iTunes 10.6 Cover Flow full screen view will revert to Cover Flow standard view between each song. This did not occur with any previous version of iTunes. Is there a setting that will prevent Cover Flow automatically switching back to standard view from full screen view?

I guess I am the only one experiencing this issue of Cover Flow full screen view collapsing to standard view when a song within an album or playlist changes. This began in 10.6 and has continued in 10.6.1. At least I have not experienced the more serious issues others have with 10.6.

Cover flow window size keeps changing

As you can see to the images below, iTunes suddenly started to changing my cover flow size every time I restart it.

Before 2-3 days I never had this issue. How can I make my cover flow sixe remain the same every time I open iTunes?

Here's something I've noticed:
1. When I uninstalled Dockstar, all problems went away. There's definitely something going on here.
2. When I reinstalled Dockstar, I am now only having problems with Mail remembering that one of my mailboxes is set to "organize by thread." (I had this problem before in addition to the window resizing). However, the window resizing problem seems to be gone (for today, at least).
Here's what's different:
1. I installed GrowlMail after they updated to a 64bit preference pane. (Not sure how this would impact it, but who knows...)
2. Last time, I just installed the newest copy of Dockstar over the old one. This time, I uninstalled the old one and reinstalled Dockstar cleanly.
Do you feel like verifying if this is true for you too?

Using cover flow full screen activates iTunes visualizer

After maybe 5 minutes the full screen cover flow is replaced with the visualizer. Pressing ESC returns to iTunes with the visualizer playing in the iTunes window. This is new behavior in iTunes 10.x and I'd like to make it stop. Thanks in advance.

I have a similar behaviour in iTunes 10.2.1 & MacOS 10.6.7.: Everytime I’m watching movies in fullscreen after 15 minutes my screensaver comes and disturbs my nonstop watching. I don’t have changed my system settings since I’ve updated to 10.6.7. and the previous MacOS version hasn’t this behaviour.

Cover flow - default size

hello sorry if this was answered already.
All I want is to make cover flow, do what it did in the past versions of itunes.
Which is to keep the default size after resizing. It always did it before but hasn't been doing it for the past few versions. Does anyone know the answer?
And yes I know how to resize, I want to know how to keep that new size as default.

One weird cool thing at the least is the only one from apple that is contacting me back is someone from itunes store customer service, even though its not there dept. The most weirdest part was itunes store was the only place I found to finally email apple for a program problem. I hope they fix that in the future.

Finder - cover flow size

how can i memorize the finder cover flow zone size respect the file list one?
if i have 1 finder window open and i open another one il will keep the same proportion, but if i close all it will start with the initial cover flow size

Blurry Cover Flow Scrollbar on Intel-GMA Macs?

I noticed many people are suffering the blurry cover flow scrollbars in iTunes ever since 7.0.0, it never got better even in 7.1. While other people are saying no problems at all no matter what they do.
Also it seems this bug only happens on Macbooks and Mac-minis, both of which are using intel-GMA graphic cards. I don't know what Mac are being used in the development of iTunes, but I think Macbook Pros and iMacs are preferred. The developpers may never know this. And I think the difference between intel Graphic Units and independent Graphic cards may lead this problem.
Let's hope developpers to solve this. Does this problem happen on other kind of Mac?

I had actually not encountered this little quirk until I updated my Mac mini to 10.4.9... when I did, this occured. Happens in the iTunes window (which is temporarily fixed by adjusting the Cover Flow display size) and in full-screen, both the scrollbar and the volume toggle are blurry. Updated from 7.1 to 7.1.1, same thing. Tried in another user account, same thing. I deleted my root-level cache (/Library/Caches), same thing. Aside from totally re-installing iTunes, I'm at a loss as to what to do, and it's such a minor thing that re-installing the application seems pretty drastic. Hope someone figures this out. Definitely gonna keep plugging away at this, though, and I'll post if I figure out if there's a fix for this.

Cover Flow View messed up with latest update

I was wondering if with the latest update anyone has had any problems with the cover flow view? It will not show anything when in that view (other 2 work fine). I have the apple software updater that updated to the latest version 7.1.1 and thats when the problem started.. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling with the same version downloaded from apples website - same thing. I ended up having to find a older version online 7.0.2 and it now works. So i tried to go back to the newer version and get the same thing. So now I am forced to run on 7.0.2 and can not use the Cover Flow Full Screen View..

Same issue with Mac Os X.3.9.
I am running dual display. When passing cover view from main display to second it just comes back to song list view!! If I pass it half, I can keep half cover view and half song list view!! It looks this is from last update.
It does not help you, but you can feel little less alone.

Can not properly view cover flow in full screen in external display

My mac is the new Mac book pro 15.4 inch screen and I connect my mac pro to external display e.g. Samsung LCD monitor 24 inches.
The bug is that I can not PROPERLY view full screen (in external display) for some application e.g. iTunes, and Front Row.
- When I use iTunes, I can not properly view Cover Flow view in full screen (in the external display screen) except the case of mirror display.
- For Front Row, I can not view full screen in external display but only my mac display.
However, for other DVD or VDO players, I can view movie on external display in full screen and I still be able to do other works on my mac screen.
Please let me know how to solve it.

Cover Flow does not update in full-screen mode

Following an upgrade to iTunes 10.5 (141) and Lion (10.7.2) - I've noticed that Cover Flow no longer updates to the current song in full-screen mode. It will return to, and remain frozen at the first song of the playlist until manually updated or I revert to non-full-screen mode.

I assume you are using a desktop shortcut to start Lightroom. Look at the properties for that shortcut. There should be an option to set it to "maximize".

Cover flow Size

I am using cover flow in the finder and I expanded it by using the three lines below the cover flow scroll bar but every time I open a window the size of cover flow gets smaller. Is there a way I can set cover flow to a default size in the finder so it stays that size?

it just keeps getting smaller until it reaches its minimum height which you can set by dragging the three lines upwards until it stops.
i would love it if cover flow stayed at the height which i set it too in each Finder folder which is about 10 lines in the list view below so you can a fair preview of the document.

Finder Cover Flow image preview size is small, cannot be adjusted and showing empty blank previews in Mavericks

When using Cover Flow the image preview in the main window (not the thumbnail list at the bottom) images appear but only use about 1/2 of the window space available. It is also showing black/blank preview images as I scroll through the files even though they are cached.
I enlarge the Finder to fill my 27 inch display, slide the size adjustment handle (three lines under the file name preview) all the way down as far as I can. The preview only enlarges to a certain point leaving the upper half of the window unused. I wish to enlarge the cover flow preview images to use this window space even if it affects the overlapping or number of cover flow images avaialble in the window. I am assuming this is becasue of the nature of cover flow showing the two previous and two following images to the left and right of the previewed image. As I scroll left and right occsionally one of the upcoming images will appear as and empty preview as well. It's all goofed up.
Hoping for any suggestions.
I have seen articles about using terminal to adjust "flow height" but never anything substainial that seemend like an informed solution.

I also would like to know if there is an answer to this. My landscape photos always display with a third of the cover flow window as blank empty space (matching your screenshot). This seems like such a waste. Is there any way to change the "padding" between the top of the finder bar and the cover flow preview?

FetchArt doesn't fetch full-size cover art

Amazon sometimes has several user-submitted cover art images, and apparently FetchArt is grabbing the first available. But this image is not always full size. I'm using FetchArt 1.1.1 (I can't get the updated FetchArt to install - puts a red arrow on all my drives).
I'd like to get the full-size image (manually drag n drop from Amazon is fine), but I can't seem to get rid of the small image FetchArt originally got for me.
I've thrown the original in the Trash, and manually gone to get the image I want, but the original small image keeps popping up as the default for the song/album in question. Even when I just go through the songs and use the arrow at the top of the image window to select the preferred image, things still default back to the small size image.
Anyone know how I get rid of the small image, and get iTunes to default to the larger, preferred image?

Custom Icons Disappear in Cover Flow Above Certain Size

I've been trying to create custom icons for certain folders and I've been having no luck when viewing them in cover flow.
I've downloaded a PNG file, 512x512 pixels. Open it in Preview, copy to the clipboard, do a 'get info' on the folder I wish to change the icon of, click the little icon, hit paste, and it appears correctly in the preview and in the finder Icons view, as well as on my desktop or whatever. However, if I turn on cover flow and drag the size of cover flow to larger than a certain point, the custom image disappears and all I get is a blank spot. It's as if the 256 pixel icon is being created but the 512 pixel image is being left blank.
I do not know if this happened in 10.5.1, as I hadn't tried until after installing the 10.5.2 combo update.
In the following picture, you can see 1: bottom right, a preview of the png file itself as it appears, correctly, in cover flow, 2: top right, the icon working correctly on the desktop and in the get info window, and 3: left: the cover flow view of the computer showing a bit gaping void where the custom icon should reside.

This does NOT happen if I use an existing, working icon (say, put the Applications folder's icon onto my hard drive.) It seems to be an issue with custom icons only, not just changing the icon for something.

Default size of Cover Flow

Is it possible to set the default size of the Cover Flow window?
And keep the same size when you scale the entire window?

I have read that Vector has default size of 10 while ArrayList has 0.Don't believe everything you read.

Exactly. That's the Javadoc. That's the specification of those APIs.
Please clear my confusion.Why? There's nothing to be confused about.. Why would you believe anything you read here or elsewhere over what it says in Javadoc? There are just two things you can believe: the Javadoc and the Java Lanugage Specification. Everything else is wrong where it disagrees. By definition.
