Cover flow image all pixelate. How can I fix it?

in coverflow, some of the graphics ok the album cover are pixelatwd and mosaic looking. It's about every third of fourth album cover. In non-cover flow view they are all fine. What could have caused this and how can I fix it? In iTunes the graphics are fine.

A restore of the device in iTunes usually rules out any possibility of a software glitch as it reloads the iPod with a fresh version of the iPod's software. One last thing you can try doing is letting the iPod's battery fully drain. Then charge it back up and restore in iTunes once more.
Otherwise, it's likely a hardware issue with the iPod's LCD display or its connection to the iPod's logic board. You'll need to pay to have your iPod serviced/replaced either by Apple or a third party repair service.

@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.

My Illustrator file icons don't match what the actual file image is. How can I fix this?

I'm using Illustrator 5.0 with MAC OS 10.8.4 and the Illustrator file icons are different thatn the actual file image. It's using the same image for 5 different files. THey all started out the same, but I edited them and then did a save as, but the file icon image didn't update. How can I fix this? I tried resaving the files and copying the files, but it didn't work.

Are you on CS5 or the very old AI5, which a few vinyl cut shops may have?
Do a save as , and enable PDF Compatible. That usually helps if the icons are blank, but may help you.
If that don't help do a command I on the file, select the icon, and hit the delete key to see if anything happens.

If you want to use Time Machine to recover the contents of one of its a backups to a new drive, follow the instructions in Mac OS X 10.6: Recovering your entire system. Note that you must select the "Restore System From Backup" option from the Utilities menu of the Installer disc to do this.
Also note that if you are transferring files to a hard drive to be used with a different computer, you should use Migration Assistant instead. This intentionally will not copy everything because some settings, applications, etc. are not compatible computer-to-computer. Migration Assistant will copy everything that is.

ITunes sync forgot all settings - how can I fix?

It's the second time now that iTunes deleted all my Movies, TV Shows and Music from my iPod because it forgot what to synchronize.
Usually I synchronize selected playlists and selected TV Shows. It just happened the scond time that iTunes forgot which playlists and shows I want to synchronize and simply deleted them all from the iPod.
I'm wondering:
How can this happen?
What can I do against it?
Can I retrieve the settings somehow (I have timemachine active)?
I'm (still) using 10.5.8 an an iPod 4th Gen with iOS 6.something

iTunes tells me: 10.6.3 (25)
The loss does not happen each time. I already synced once today and that worked. Just the next time failed.
I also have the feeling that the loss happened when iTunes created a backup of my iPod - but I might be mistaken.

When I right click "save image as" on a JPG file, I get no response at all. How can I fix this?

I am running Firefox 34.0 on Linux (Fedora 20, KDE desktop). I checked the Mozilla download site and it says I have the latest version. When I right click on a JPEG file to save it, I get the "save image as" option, but when I select it, nothing happens. The file is not downloading. I google searched for fixes and tried all of the following, per the Mozilla support documents, all with no change in response:
- Changing the download folder
- Reseting the relevant preferences in the about.config folder
- clearing the download history
- Running Firefox in Safe Mode
Additionally, I verified under preferences that jpeg image is set to "always ask".
All other references to this problem seem to refer to problematic plugins, but the safe mode check shows that is not my issue. Any idea what the issue could be and how I can fix it?

As previously stated, when I run with all of the addons disabled, the problem still exists. I just tried this again and verified it again. Per your suggestion, I created a new profile and found that the save image as command worked. Do you have any idea what part of the profile is corrupted and causing the problem? I'd like to localize the problem so I can save as much of my old profile as possible, and not have to start over rebuilding all of my settings.

Colors not saving correctly when image is saved, how can I fix this?

Hi! I've been a photoshop user for my newish photography business since this past summer. I honestly still have a lot to learn, but thankful my images have always been spot on, until now...you see, I recently discovered that when I open my png or jpeg files (these images were saved in ps cc), the photos appear to be dull and muted. It ls like the vibrance/saturation has been shifted down and yellow tones removed or muted greatly. I even saved some fo these files on a disk and reopened them onto my computer and they still look awful. I did not change any of my settings and to be honest, I don't know which ones are the best to work with since every photog I've asked has told me something different....buuuuut beside the point...nothing has changed. My profile settings are the same and I am confused and rather frustrated. If you know how to fix this issue, please share with me because I am at a loss.
How I edit photos:
Import into lightroom
Edit with preset
Export with preset into PS CC
Do finishing touched
Save as jpeg
Here is a screen shot from my computer. The photo on the right is the saved photo and the left is the photoshop photo. If you can tell, the photo on the left is dull and appears to be very flat. It also does not have the golden undertones that the ps cc photo has, which is what I want...

What color space are you working the images in? The Info panel and the little status box at the lower-left of the editing canvas can be set to show you your current color profile. I set the Info panel to show me the profile myself.
When you do File - Save As to save the JPEG, are you saving the color profile with the JPEG?
Lastly, when you say "the photos appear to be dull and muted", how are you comparing them (specifically)? Are you sure the application you're using to compare them with what you see in Photoshop is color-managed?
I suspect what may be happening is that you're editing your photos using a wide gamut color space, then either saving the JPEG work product without a color profile or viewing it in an application that does not support color-management.
Regarding someone telling you the best settings to use... The thing is, it's not really possible to suggest specific settings without knowing a lot more about your particular working environment. We don't know, for example, whether the printing process you're using will properly interpret the color profile. You should regard with suspicion any advice that suggests "set it and forget it" settings without trying to understand your color-management needs.

Iphoto seems to be deleting old (several years old) images that hav the same name as new images being loaded. how can i fix this?

I was browsing some old photos in iPhoto11 and started getting 'image not found' errors. After much investigation, rebuilding thumbnails and extracting photos using fatface iphoto library manager it seems that newer photos with the same name as very old photos (Canon camera naming scheme IMG_nnnn.jpg) have caused the old photos to be deleted? I thought iphoto handled this situation but it seems not.
I never got any error or warning messages on importing the newer photos. Naturally the old ones have been in there for years and were originally imported using older versions of iphoto.
As it happens I do have all these old photos stored elsewhere so its not a case of panicking but I could do with a solution going forwards.
Has anyone else encountered this (and of course if so how did you resolve it?)

Every new import to iPhoto goes into a new folder on the HD, so no, iPhoto doesn't overwrite older images with the same filename.
Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

HT4623 I have the updated ios6 but my I tunes will not open at all. How can I fix this?

I don't know how to fix my I tunes I can log onto it on throw the Internet so I know it's the right password. I have the updated ios6 software and have tried everything I can think of. Logging out and turning off the IPad and starting it back up trying to login under the settings/iTunes/login. Still nothing. It states it can't connect when I'm connected to wifi. Do you have a mouse you can use to go to System Preferences and check the TrackPad and see that it is pairing and that the replacement batteries are good? There have been a few users who have had problems with suppossedly new batteries, turned out they actually were not strong enough to pair. If you cannot use a mouse, try a different set of batteries and see if that resolves the issue.
If that does not resolve it, take the TrackPad to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs test it to see that it is not defective.

Hi! My Firefox close itself 3 times a day. I´ve restarted it, but it doesnt help at all. How can I fix it?

I have no idea why, but Firefox started to close itself about 2-3 times a day. It works about 5 hours and after closes itself. When I open it again it is saying: "Its embarrassing..." and asks me if I want to open all the tabs I had.
It is very annoying. I tried to reset Firefox, but it did not help.

None of those crash report seem to be recent. The reason they are not starting with bp- is because that they have not been submitted. You have to click each report individually to submit the report in order for us to be able to pull up the report. I'm going to suggest a clean reinstall though.

I updated iTunes this morning and now my iphone, ipad do not appear in iTunes.
I tried unplugging the usb cable and but it still does not work. I tried powering off my iphone but it does not connect.
my husband has the same problem with his ipad with his pc. He did the same update this morning.

I had the same problem and tried some of the fixes describing Apple Mobile Devise settings etc. it didn't work.
What did work was uninstall iTunes and othe various Apple apps and then reinstall with the latest version of iTunes from Apple. All my playlist, music, setting remained intact and it works like a charm.

My phone reception is horrible since installing ios7. My calls drop indoors and outdoors and normal places where reception is great, there are no dots at all. How can I fix this on my phone?!

Does anyone else have this problem? Even in my own bedroom my phone reception keeps cutting out, as well as every single grocery store I walk into.

You can try restoring the phone but if that doesn't work I would check the updates frequently till they come out with another update. I've herd many of my friends with some what the same problem but not as sever as yours.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.
