Cover Flow in iPad

Hi friends, I am struck with the cover flow on iPad. The Code i m using was initially implemented for iphone, I tried to customize it but unable to do so. Please help in out. So is there anyone who who has implemented cover flow feature with iPad.

I call it "coverflow" because I don't know what else to call it.
Yes, I know the previous version of coverflow is gone, but it has been replaced with another version....one that shows the artworks as tiles similiar to what you would see on a desktop with itunes artwork as a sceen saver.
I can't get the replacement to work or anything where I can only see artwork on itunes
Maybe the correct name is "Album Wall"

If you mean the Smart Cover, then no, it doesn't work/fit the first gen iPad, it's designed for use with the new version - the older iPad is slightly larger (height, width, and depth) and it doesn't have the magnets to keep the cover in place

I couldn't agree with you more on the custom folder icon issues. I'm beginning to find out what the problem is on that. I have used the newest version of Candy Bar for my Home directory icons and that works fine, but there are some folders that I want to use a different icon for and leave the rest as they are. Candy Bar can't do this for me (as it only works with the generic icons) and so I used Apple's Icon Composer application (in the Developer Tools) to make the correct icon sizes for Leopard and then saved them as .icns but then copying and pasting that on a folder would result in the default ICNS icon and not my custom icon (that was under 10.5.1). So I finally got the custom icon to appear, but it only works for sizes 128x128 and lower, even though I put a 512X512 version in there. That's why it doesn't show up in Cover Flow. For some reason, Leopard "blacks" out anything larger than 128x128 on "Cut and Paste" icons. I found that out by copying my custom icon from the Get Info panel and then opening that in Preview and it shows a black background for the larger icons instead of the alpha channel. I'm still trying to figure this out. Also, IconBuilder seems to be doing the same thing (making and ICNS file) but it seems to work better. I haven't used that since I've upgraded to Leopard but from what I've read it should work, but I don't have Photoshop right now. Someone nicked my Album Cover flow, without asking. I have snow leopard. I was happy. Just before Christmas as if I havent got enough to do Thank You. I've given Apple loads of money this year--presents and all, the least they could do is tell me, they're going to take stuff off of My computer that I enjoy,/ find very useful/ and worked hard to update all my album covers and have a gallery of my own artwork for my mixes--it was beautiful. When I went to add some more, the facility had been taken away from me. Was so dissapointed. They send me emails all the time to buy the latest must have products. I even did a questionair to help them. They really care for their customers--right. So why couldnt they warn me about this update, its only polite.
If I bought a warm coat some years ago, then the manufatures came round without my knowledge and cut off the left arm, and later told me, their reserch says that people dont use the left arm so much so they have to get rid of it. 1. I think that would be illegal. 2. its impolite not to ask if they could do it. 3. why not give me an options to keep it, seeing as i bought it. 4. its ludicrous.
I trusted Apple-but then -they took my YouTube off my ipad. I cant update to newer software as I will lose some expensive programms (Im not made of money). I also have 2 oldish defunct but fully working laser printers (if they were compatible with new software).
Im not a techky-I just use the stuff, I do art and music and Cover Flow was equipement I used.

4th gen. iPod touch restarts when using Cover Flow while playing music

I was just listening to music the past few months ever since I got my iPod touch back in August (and I love it) but for the past week I have been having this annyoing issue when I tilt my iPod touch to use Cover Flow. When I tilt the iPod while playing a song, the Cover Flow (and everything else on the screen) freezes and the music skips much like a CD skipping, then it restarts itself with the dotted circle loading symbol.
I am using a 4th generation iPod touch upgraded to iOS 5.0.1.
I have also noticed it only does this on certain albums by the way; some do it, while most others don't. I think the issue may be with the artwork as it's custom artwork and not artwork downloaded from iTunes.
Any help with this if possible? Thanks.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

Cover Flow Album Art won't change with Song Change

When I play songs in Cover Flow mode (landscape), the album remains on the same album that I first played even though the song has advanced to another album. Is this behavior consistent with anyone else or is this only my iPhone that is acting this way? Seems like the album art would change when the song changes, as it does in portrait mode.

I have many problems occuring randomly when i try to use Spotify on my Ipad Air 2 in the BMW car in offline mode.
*After some time Album Art and track names are no longer updated
* After some time some of the HMI buttons get greyed out
I was able to solve all these issues by temporarily enabling WLAN hotspot on my mobile phone, then spotif on the ipad will correct itself.
Of course that's no permanent solution to fiddle with the mobile phone while driving, it must be some sort of bug of spotify that will hopefully get fixed to have proper offline usability in the car.

Error in Cover Flow mode on Ipod Touch

Since updating to version 2.2 my list of music tracks in List View Mode is correct. However when I hold my Touch in landscape mode and it changes to Cover Flow some of the tracks and artist names are incorrect. I have also found that some album covers show incorrectly. Any ideas please?

Where's cover flow in ios7?

What happened to the beautiful cover flow design of records in music in iOS7? Gone, it seems!!! Please bring it back as what we have now in iOS7 is, at best, nothing more than mediocre.

I'm disappointed too and have to admit to use Amazon's Cloud Player on my iPad since last week. It has everything Apple's Music App used to have especially a good looking, fast and comfortable cover display.
I also hope very much there will be some form of cover display in the near future in Apple's App.
By the way: They should add the possibility to delete albums again. It's really annoying to delete them song by song.

Cover Flow query?

When I connect my iPad or my iPod Touch to iTunes 10.7.x I can only view the conents of the iPad/iTouch in List view. Is it possible to view the contents of the iPad in Cover Flow?

Thanks for that. The removal of Cover Flow is the main reason I haven't downgraded to iTunes 11!
So you can only view your iTunes Library in Cover Flow mode then.

Can not properly view cover flow in full screen in external display

My mac is the new Mac book pro 15.4 inch screen and I connect my mac pro to external display e.g. Samsung LCD monitor 24 inches.
The bug is that I can not PROPERLY view full screen (in external display) for some application e.g. iTunes, and Front Row.
- When I use iTunes, I can not properly view Cover Flow view in full screen (in the external display screen) except the case of mirror display.
- For Front Row, I can not view full screen in external display but only my mac display.
However, for other DVD or VDO players, I can view movie on external display in full screen and I still be able to do other works on my mac screen.
Please let me know how to solve it.

Is there a way of making my iPod's "cover flow" sort in the same way the software can . Artist -- Album by Year . It only seems to do Artist -- by Alphabetical Album . I want it look like it does on the PC .

Is there a way to make the "cover flow" on the iPod match the sort style that I use on the software . I go with Artist -- Album by Release Year . But the ipod seems to only do Artist -- Alphabetical by Album , and then there are a handful of albums oddly out of place . Can it be done ?

Ottonomy, here's what to do.
Connect your iPhone to your computer and open the iPhone's playlist in an iTunes window. Copy/Paste the entire playlist into a new(!) playlist in iTunes, not on your iPhone. Then resort the playlist. After you sort it, Copy/Paste it to a new(!) playlist on your iPhone. Now delete the old playlist on your iPhone and rename the new playlist the name you want it to be (probably the same name as the old playlist).
The downside to this method is that you have to do it every time you add a song to the playlist. Unfortunately, I don't think there's another way.

What's wrong with my iPod's Cover Flow??

I have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen, 32Gb, and recently updated to IOS 5.
Since then, the iPod's cover flow feature is extremely slow, doesn't flow smoothly, and crashes after a few (15-20) seconds.
Today I noted something else: some album covers appear pixelated and blurry, even though HD. Those covers looked just fine until now.
As a side note, I have in use 30 of the 32 Gb (that's a lot of music, I know). Could this be related? I never had those problems before IOS 5, though.

so as I see it people with this problem have 3 options
- Make all of your album art a maximum of 500X500 pixels
- Wait for an IOS update that fixes the problem
- Scrap ipods and buy another brand of music player
Using photoshop to do it with, it took me about an hour to resize, change, and resync all of my 1400 songs(86 albums)

Cover flow lion finder window

Horrible horrible horrible feature of Lion:
iPhoto is occupied iwth a large upload of images to flickr.
I want to review some more of the images I shot today in thumbnail to
open and start working on them in photoshop without waiting for iPhoto
to finish (this is reason #6099 why I do not let iPhoto control the
location of my photos on the drive, so I can access them without
opening their specific iPhoto library).
I open the enclosing folder for the images, click to view by icon,
enlarge the icons, then click to sort the photos by date, and....COVER
FLOW! they've Cover-Flow-ized the icon view when you do any kind of
sort except by name.
I cannot say how much I hate cover flow--nausea-inducing for the
motion sickness prone, nasty vile scheme in general--and now, it's
dropped the images I can see in one glance at the screen in this icon
by date view of the finder window to ONE, and I can't turn it off. I
do NOT have coverflow checked in view options.
Is there any way to kill coverflow completely in every place they've
put it?

Support call gave the solution: instead of 'Arrange by', use the 'clean up by' command under the view menu in Finder. This does what arrange by used to, and while the menu options are more limited than 'arrange by', it doesn't default to the cover-flow behavior that is so irritating.
If you hate cover flow like I do, please send them feedback. If enough of us complain about it, maybe they'll stop putting it all over the place.
