Cover Flow Won't Flip

Hello,
I recently purchased a 32GB iPod Touch as an upgrade to my previous one of 16GB. On my first iPod, whenever I was in Cover Flow, I could flip the iPod 180 degrees, and the whole Cover Flow would flip over.
With my new iPod, this will usually work, but not when I am viewing Cover Flow directly from the "Now Playing" screen. This means that, once in Cover Flow, I will flip the iPod over, and Cover Flow will be upside-down, without rotating.
My iPod is updated with all the latest firmware/software. Any ideas?
I also tried restoring the iPod, but this did not help.

have a touch 1G without problems
with my new touch 2G 16gb sometimes/often cover flow doesnt work...games or something else also didnt work. I cant play Spore for example.
I "flip" the touch...but nothing happens...the screen doesnt flip
i restore my touch several times, sometimes it works when i restart the iPod...but only sometimes

Cover Flow won't go full screen anymore

I just installed Windows 7 last week and Cover Flow was going full screen, and a week later I just get two arrows, and not the 4 arrows in each corner, and Cover Flow won't go full screen.
Any ideas?

I obviously had tried this a few times before, but I decided to try a regular restart for a 5th time and it magically started working.

Cover Flow Won't Let Me Work Out!

So I have the 4th gen Nano, and when the cases come out that allow me to clip it to my belt, I won't be able to have it horizontally because cover flow will kick in. This is a problem! Apple, fix this please! If I orientate the Nano vertically, I can't read the track names, etc. Help me!

Cover Flow won't show JPG preview, only generic JPG icon

Hello,
For some reasons, I don't see JPGs in Cover Flow mode. I can see them in Quick Finder no problem.
I tried the following and toggle the on/off the feature without success: Go to Finder, open a window, and click View>Show View Options. From there, CHECK "Show Item Preview," then click "Use as Defaults."
I exported photos from iPhoto into my desktop but I get the same result. Only generic jpg icon.
BTW, PDFs are fine, excel, word are all fine....
Any idea?

A reboot solved the problem.
I guess this is the workaround for now...

Cover Flow won't display JPEGs

Am new mac user - running Leopard and have Adobe CS3 on the machine. Primary reason for moving to mac was to get improved control over my photos and videos. After loading about 10K photos onto the machine (am managing with Adobe Bridge, not iPhoto), I realized that Cover Flow in Finder will not display the JPEG files. It simply puts up an icon with a JPEG label on it. Have looked online for a solution but no clear guidance - does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks.

PS--too late to edit, but one thing to try, to make sure Coverflow isn't having some sort of major problem, is go to to a web site that has jpegs. Make yourself a folder on the Desktop, call it WebJPEGs, then click on a jpeg in the browser window, continue to hold the mouse button down, pause for just a second, and then, still holding the mouse button down, drag the jpeg out of the browser window and drop it (release the mouse button) when you are over the folder you created. Add several jpegs to the folder this way, then open the folder and put it in Coverflow. Does Coverflow draw the custom icons?
Just in case you can't think of a web site you know has jpegs, you can use this page:

Cover Flow Won't Work!!

After updating to the new version 7 iTunes, I am not able to use the cover flow function on one of my two computers. The Mesage "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer" comes up. My computer meets all the requirements for processing and I am able to view my album artwork and movies in everyother window. Also whenever I attempt to view the movie store iTunes closes itself. Please Help!!!!

I have a Windows XP computer (Wanting to get a Mac as soon as I can buy one) and when I was on iTunes I have been trying to use the cover flow option, and it keeps saying "Cover Flow will not work on this computer" and I was wondering if there was anything I could use to fix that?

Try unistalling then reinstalling.

Cover Flow won't work in iPod view

When I'm viewing the contents of my iPod within iTunes, I can't use Cover Flow - or Browse by List for that matter. The three icons are greyed out. Is this a bug? While my library is a mishmash, my iPod is organized with full albums, so that's where Cover Flow would benefit me most. I'm really bummed out. Can anyone help?

Cover Flow; Won't Work On My Computer. Why?

Everytime I try to use iTunes' Cover Flow I get the message "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer." and it freezes.
Would anyone know why?

ITunes 8.1 Cover Flow - Won't Display Full Album Titles/Artist Names

I don't understand why Apple would change Cover Flow to display less characters than before, but many, many artists/albums aren't showing complete titles, with an elipse marking where it gives up. There doesn't seem to be a universal character limit either, as, bizarrely, a few short titles like 'Come On Pilgrim' aren't showing either.
Does anybody else suffer from this problem? Is it fixable? If not, I think I'll be rolling back.

Just to add, when the album is selected on my ATV, all track names are shown so they're obviously in the system. It's only when they start playing that most of the time I just get 'Track 4' etc.

Cover Flow Won't Display Ampersands

Ampersands (&) are displayed fine everywhere else on the iPod and even on the iTunes Cover Flow, but not on my iPod's Cover Flow. Other symbols, such as colons, plus signs, parentheses, periods, commas, etc. display fine, however. Also, the ampersands displayed just fine until a few days ago, and I'm not sure what happened.
I tried the 5 Rs, deleting the problem songs from the iPod, changning the name of the album(s), pretty much everything I could think of. Any ideas?

Cover Flow Freeze

This problem is frustrating (is there any other kind?). When I use the cool, 3D, Cover Flow feature and flip through the cover art, the system freezes. The cursor doesn't move....nothing. It works for about 5 seconds until the system realizes that I'm liking it, and then, freezes. Bitc--!. Anyway, the only option is to Power Off and start again. It's acting like a device conflict, but it isn't a device....Is it a JAVA issue? Help? Although I can live without the flow feature, I am still haunted by the "filename character limit" on importing MP3 files into the system. I still haven't seen a fix for this but maybe I haven't dug the full six-feet to get to it. Thanques for glistening.

The same thing (sort-of) is happening to me and I need help!!!! I got the Ipod nano-chromatic (4th generation) for Christmas. My Ipod has been working fine until today!! Whenever i want to view 'Cover Flow' by turning the Ipod, my Ipod freezes! I hold down the Center and the Menu button and then it has a glitch but it's then fine. Once I listen to a song the song will keep playing but i notice my screen freezes, again! I cannot pause the song or go to the menu, none of the buttons work because it is frozen and they probably locked somehow. Once again I hold down the center button and the menu button and it just turns off, but will turn on again. Does anyone know why it's doing this!?!?!? It's been fine until today and I don't know what to do. Do you think Apple could help me with this? Or can i fix it myself? It's fine until i turn it 90 degrees and I am having the same problem. Please Help!

Cover Flow locks up G4

And some OS X screen savers do it, too.They have ever since I upgraded to X (couple years ago, maybe 3? 4?) But I just avoid them. Flurry and Computer Name are the only standard screen savers that do not lock it up. I can download screen savers from movie sites and they work fine. I assumed the G4 was locking up because I still had OEM 400 MHz and 256 M RAM but I have upgraded the CPU to 1GHz and installed more RAM and still getting the lock up. Occasionally Cover Flow won't lock up but it's dicey. Also, have never been able to use the slide show in iPhoto without lock up. Music keeps playing but everything else shuts down.
What is this? Do I have bad VRAM? How would I check that? Do I have bad RAM that doesn't show up in basic tests?
G4 Mac OS X (10.3.9) 1 Ghz (Sonnet), external drive, LaCie CD burner

it's not a power setting issue. It's a computer lock up issue. Other screen savers work just fine. And, no, the power settings are not preempting the screen saver settings. It's a Cover Flow issue. Please try again.

Music stutters when cover flow is used

I'm using 7.6.1.9, and since the latest "upgrade" I've been unable to use cover flow while music is playing. As soon as I invoke the cover flow mode, the song that's playing stutters a couple of times, stabilizes, and then stutters a bit every few seconds. If I use cover flower (i.e., flip through the covers), the song will fast-forward stutter until I stop.
Any ideas?

itunes appears to be written very differently than most windows software. I've had many, many problems with iTunes being sluggish -particularly when it comes to video refreshing. I have a dual processor machine that is brand new and loaded to the hilt with ram. Every other application works perfectly, but iTunes scrolls song lists as if I'm simultaneously calculating the last digit of pi. I can't say why, but after using iTunes on 5 different PCs, I can say that the performance is not at all in line with the performance of other applications. Personally, I think they should just do a ground-up rewrite and come up with something much smaller and more conforming to windows standards, but until then some stuttering may occur!

Iphone pauses and flips to cover flow and back with other earphones

If I use any other earphones than the ones that are provided, my iphone pauses and plays randomly, and flips to cover flow and back without any movement... any help?

Connect the two devices that are showing large backups to your computer and check the capacity guage in iTunes to see how large "Other" is. Sometimes this can grow to be extrememly large, requiring you to restore the device to reduce it to a more reasonable level (approx. 1GB).
