Cover Flow won't show JPG preview, only generic JPG icon

Hello,
For some reasons, I don't see JPGs in Cover Flow mode. I can see them in Quick Finder no problem.
I tried the following and toggle the on/off the feature without success: Go to Finder, open a window, and click View>Show View Options. From there, CHECK "Show Item Preview," then click "Use as Defaults."
I exported photos from iPhoto into my desktop but I get the same result. Only generic jpg icon.
BTW, PDFs are fine, excel, word are all fine....
Any idea?

A reboot solved the problem.
I guess this is the workaround for now...

Cover Flow won't go full screen anymore

I just installed Windows 7 last week and Cover Flow was going full screen, and a week later I just get two arrows, and not the 4 arrows in each corner, and Cover Flow won't go full screen.
Any ideas?

I obviously had tried this a few times before, but I decided to try a regular restart for a 5th time and it magically started working.

When I upgraded to Mavericks the cover flow or the preview pane in finder don't show a thumbnail of an uncompressed quicktime movie. I use this to search for the correct clip so it was very useful in prior versions of OS X but appears to be left off in Mavericks. If anyone knows a work around I would appreciate it since I work with thousands of video clips. To click each one seems very tedious.
Also, when I click on an uncompressed video, quicktime "converts" the video to some different format. Why doesn't it just play the video instead of converting? Is there a way to stop this? I hate have to say - no I don't want to save this file.
Arrgh!

Does anyone in the community have insite into this issue (same with animation compressed QT's). Is this just the way it is moving forward (a terrible thing) or is it a bug that will be fixed in the near future. Apples silince on if this is a "feature" or a "bug" is frustrating.

Cover Flow does not show song title or scroll bar

Cover Flow only shows a distorted "box" instead of the song info and the scroll bar. Why is this?

ITunes 8.1 Cover Flow - Won't Display Full Album Titles/Artist Names

I don't understand why Apple would change Cover Flow to display less characters than before, but many, many artists/albums aren't showing complete titles, with an elipse marking where it gives up. There doesn't seem to be a universal character limit either, as, bizarrely, a few short titles like 'Come On Pilgrim' aren't showing either.
Does anybody else suffer from this problem? Is it fixable? If not, I think I'll be rolling back.

Just to add, when the album is selected on my ATV, all track names are shown so they're obviously in the system. It's only when they start playing that most of the time I just get 'Track 4' etc.

CS3 Bridge won't show CR2 previews

I just re-installed CS3...and now Bridge won't show the CR2 previews...it's just the CR2 icon and when I try to open it up I get a message in CS3 that says "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." ? I've been using CS3 for the past year and have had no previous problems with this particular issue. The other thing is that when I tried to update Bridge it said that it couldn't complete all the downloads.
Would appreciate the help...I'm getting frustrated

Follow the instructions exactly or it won't work!

Cover Flow is not showing up in Finder

Hi, I am pretty new to Apple MacPro. Just got my machine with Leopard.
When I open Finder, I do not see the cover flow icon, there's only 3 icons, no cover flow.
Anybody can help?

Becky, at the top of your screen where you see the drop down menus, select Finder>Preferences
From inside Preferences Go to General and make sure External disks is selected, like this
Then in the same Finder>preferences select Sidebar, and Under devices make sure external disks are selected again. like this:

Cover Flow Won't Flip

Hello,
I recently purchased a 32GB iPod Touch as an upgrade to my previous one of 16GB. On my first iPod, whenever I was in Cover Flow, I could flip the iPod 180 degrees, and the whole Cover Flow would flip over.
With my new iPod, this will usually work, but not when I am viewing Cover Flow directly from the "Now Playing" screen. This means that, once in Cover Flow, I will flip the iPod over, and Cover Flow will be upside-down, without rotating.
My iPod is updated with all the latest firmware/software. Any ideas?
I also tried restoring the iPod, but this did not help.

have a touch 1G without problems
with my new touch 2G 16gb sometimes/often cover flow doesnt work...games or something else also didnt work. I cant play Spore for example.
I "flip" the touch...but nothing happens...the screen doesnt flip
i restore my touch several times, sometimes it works when i restart the iPod...but only sometimes

Cover Flow Won't Let Me Work Out!

So I have the 4th gen Nano, and when the cases come out that allow me to clip it to my belt, I won't be able to have it horizontally because cover flow will kick in. This is a problem! Apple, fix this please! If I orientate the Nano vertically, I can't read the track names, etc. Help me!

Cover Flow Won't Work!!

After updating to the new version 7 iTunes, I am not able to use the cover flow function on one of my two computers. The Mesage "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer" comes up. My computer meets all the requirements for processing and I am able to view my album artwork and movies in everyother window. Also whenever I attempt to view the movie store iTunes closes itself. Please Help!!!!

Cover Flow won't work in iPod view

When I'm viewing the contents of my iPod within iTunes, I can't use Cover Flow - or Browse by List for that matter. The three icons are greyed out. Is this a bug? While my library is a mishmash, my iPod is organized with full albums, so that's where Cover Flow would benefit me most. I'm really bummed out. Can anyone help?

Cover Flow Doesn't show some covers

When iTunes imports a CD on a popular album, I click on Download Cover Art, and 75% of the time it can't find a cover art.
I usually can find the cover art easily on www.allmusic.com and transfer it into iTunes.
When I sync the Nano, I've noticed that there are a couple of album covers that don't show in the Cover Flow, although, when I go to artist or albums, it shows up there.
Any ideas on this?

I've had this problem also. This problem usually happens when I update new artwork to the iPod. SOLUTION: Try deleting the entire album from the iPod, then re-transfer the whole album from iTunes with the new artwork. This solution has worked for me every time (so far). Best of luck.
So many things about the 160GB performance suck ***, but I love the stupid thing. Hoping they fix all the bugs soon!

In cover flow the album artwork dose not show up i right clicked it and said get album but nothing happens i have artwork but not in cover flow.

Ipod cover flow, some albums show up after the letter Z

Hi all, got a strange problem.
I have my ipod set to sort by artist in the cover flow.
However, some albums pop up after the letter Z.
There are over 1400 cd's on it, but a 30-something do this.
I tried adding "artist sorting"tag to the albums, but it still shows.
Trust by Elvis Costello for example shows up after the z, while there is no reason at all to do that according to the info.
Anyone who has any tips, escept deleting the albums and adding them again in the hope the problem disappears ?

The albums that appear after Z will be marked as compilations. See my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic Missing Artist or Album not with others by same artist for details.

Cover Flow...is it the only way?

I had a question. Because the new nano has a "redesigned interface" does that mean that coverflow is the ONLY way to view albums? or are albums still in list form too?

The "old" menus are still there. Cover Flow is pretty cool, though.
