Cover for 20GB Zen Creative (bla

Does anyone know where I can get some kind of case of cover for my 20GB creative zen? Amazon only seems to have cases for the micro/vision/sleek models.
Any help would be welcome.
Cheers,
Christina

I couldn't use the cup holder dock either. Never actually fit in the holder very well. So I decided to find my own way to attach my player to my dash. What I did was purchase this case:
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...asin=B000ANA7Y
Then I removed the belt clip with a small screwdriver and cut a piece of industrial strength velcro (see link below) and placed it where the belt clip was
http://www.walgreens.com/store/produ...ump&navCount=0. I didn't want to stick anything to the player itself, but you can if you don't mind.
Then I placed the other piece of velcro just to the left of my stereo.
Now I can see what song is playing without having to look down constantly. I highly suggest this.

  • Where is the driver for the Zen Creative 4GB mp3 play

When I installed everything on the CD and plugged the mp3 player into my Vista computer it said 'looking for driver' and never found it. I have not been able to find the driver for this type of player anywhere.
It worked fine on my brothers computer, which also has Vista. He got his computer after mine, and has Athlon processor as opposed to my Inter Core 2 Duo. Can't see why that would make a difference.
here's the walmart link, so there is no misunderstanding about the player I am using:
    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=7789723

I think Creative should add the Sleek Photo to the player list in downloads and add the latest version there (I have version .0.0e). I ordered my player in December (for Christmas). There are a few issues that I have addressed in my "A few annoyances with Zen Sleek Photo 20GB (Request)" thread.
Sadly there has not yet been an update to fix the artist listings etc. as mentioned in my thread
I got in contact with another Creative Zen Sleek Photo user who also li'ves in Switzerland and has the same problems (tracks not been sorted correctly even with correct ID3 tags, which work in many many Windows applications).
By the way, sadly the Sleek Photo gets a load of dust under the screen too, unless you are very careful. I have been unable to remove most of the dust even using compressed air! I would rather not have to get it replaced because of this (unless Creative makes a slightly new casing model to prevent dust under screen) as I would probably end up paying rather a lot for postage (it's going indirectly through another company)
I hope there shall soon be a firmware update addressing these things,
Thanks for any response to this,

  • Purchasing battery cover for nano plus?

I emailed creative support team and asked if I could have a new battery cover for my zen nano plus, someone emailed back and said to <EM>''purchase'' </EM>one you have to call them and talk to someone about it. I cant believe I have to actually "PURCHASE" one?

At least you got email back. I emailed them about wanting to buy a replacement cover for my GB MuVo TX weeks ago, and got no reply at all. Do they just ignore you if the unit is out of the warranty period? I'd happily pay a reasonable price for a replacement.

  • Can you use any program to upload music onto the zen creative juke

i am currently using limewire to download music can i use this for the zen creative jukebox

DM wrote:<B>Can you use Limewire to transfer songs to a Zen player?</B>But if its corrupted then it might cause your player to stop working.
FYI: Normally, Limewire will indicate that a file is corrupted and give you the opportunity to continue with the download or cancel it.

  • Zen Creative Video:M Case

<FONT color=#cc0000>Updated edit: See my post later in this thread for the Belkin Neoprene case.
    <FONT color=#cc0000>Keep those suggestions coming! :smileyvery-happy:
    Hello,
I'd like to know where I can find a case for my new Zen Creative Video:M. I know it's new here in the United States, so I haven't found any. Is there a website or place where a case can be purchased? I don't want it to get scratched, and using the drawstring pouch it came with is NOT helpful cause I can't see the screen.
Is a case (hopefully a silicone one like apple has) available anywhere in the world? Maybe I can even order it from Asia? When do you expect to start selling cases for this new MP3 player? And try not to use the white silicone cases, use a different color because white gets dirty quickly.
Also, are there other mp3 covers (maybe for older versions of Zen players) that could potentially be use dfor my Zen Vision, if no other case is available? Please suggest it. Thanks!

    FOUND ONE!!!
Yes, ok, so I think I've found a really great case for my Zen Creative Video:M. It's the Belkin NE (Neoprene Sport Case for iPod) which I bought from RadioShack.
    PRO:
--Has a full-length clear plastic (PVC) for the whole front!!!
--So, you can see the whole large screen.
-- All the buttons are accessible and they all work well and has great sensitivity (even when I set mine to "Low" sensitivity onthe touchpad).
--Perfect fit for my Video:M! Sure, I had to try hard to push it in, but that's how most of these work because of the texture of the case. But it's a perfect fit and I am sure it will mold itself to my player.
--Drawstring Cinch on top, so you can leave it open so that you can have access to the buttons/earphones on the top.
--Good feel in the hand and the sides has a neoprene/rubber type thing that makes me think it's great protection.
--the attached beltclip on the back can be rotated. (no arm band or anything)
    CON:
--Although there is a slot at the bottom of the case for the dock connector, I can't connect it to the player. This is because Creative for some reason made that accessory wider! Argh. So in order to charge or sync, I will most likely have to keep pulling out my player out of this case. This would be annoying, because it means I'd have to take it out and put it in again everytime. It means I'd push it out and in again, and that is not easy. That means the mold will not be as good, it may become looser as I keep doing it.
All in all, at least I found this and can use it right away to prevent scratches between now and the time the good cases come out, It's $20 at Radioshack, and the manager said I could return it if it's not working well for me. If it gets too annoying, I may just cut a bigger hole in the bottom (although it has the rubbery material, so I dunno) since that's the only problem.
Here are some photos and links:

Wow, I think this is the same case, found cheaper at Target: $3

  • Cover for a 20GB

Does anyone know where I can get a skin or some form of protecti've cover for a Creative Zen. I've tried a few places but all seem to just be for the Zen Micro. Thanks

    Lemarr,
These units are also referred to as "iPod with click wheel". The iPod classic is smaller than yours. I do not believe a cover for one will fit yours.

  • How do i know when my zen creative is fully charged (for the first time since openi

So I just got a Zen Creative, and I was wondering how I know when it is fully charged, will it show up on the screen and say its fully charged or is it a certain amount of time or just pay attention to the battery gauge in the top left courner? please help me

My answer was based upon the assumption this is a flash-based Zen 2/4/8/6/32GB unit. That is the current player going by the unqualified "Zen" name (i.e. as opposed to "Zen Micro", "Zen Vision:M", etc.)
If the OP is referring to a different player under the "Zen" brand (which consists of playes with widely differing technologies, features and "well known" issues) your mileage may vary.

I am not sure if this is what you're looking for. But I love the flexiskin I purchased for my Zen Sleek. I have found that it is definitely helping to keep dust out of the screen and protecting the Sleek. Here is a link of what I purchased:

  • Any universal remotes for the zen tou

Looks like Creative won't budge on bringing back the FM wired remote or any new remotes for the Zen Touch. Pity- I think they would still make a profit. So does anyone else make wired remotes suitable for use with the Zen Touch 20GB?

  • ZEN touch to be replaced by 20GB ZEN mic

    http://www.dapreview.net/comment.php?comment.news.249
If this is true then Creative best make the ZEN Micro 20GB's battery 25 hours plus.

Battery life for the new Zen "is" only eleven hours. Personally, I think this new model is a huge step backwards. Creative is only doing this in an effort to emulate the sucess of the Zen Micro. The reason the Micro is more successful is two fold. First, it's smaller. Size has never been an issue for me. My Zen Touch usually sits on a shelf at work or in my car. I have no itention of clipping it to my waist or even carrying it in a pocket. However, let's face it. The largest market for DAPs is primarily made up of kids. For them, size is a major factor. Second, the Zen Touch was poorly marketed right from the start. I can't remember seeing it advertised anywhere. On the other hand, you can't avoid the ads for the Zen Micro.

  • Where is the Firmware for the Zen Sleek Ph

    Hi,
I've been having problems with my Zen Sleek Photo ever since I bought it 2 months ago. Every so often it would freeze on boot-up, so I would have to reset it with a pin to get it to start up. This morning it started going really haywire so I decided to reload the firmware - of course, my disks are at home and when I looked on the creative site here at work, there was no sign of any firmware for the Zen Sleek Photo (it's almost like Creative don't realise this product exists!). Anyway, where can I download the latest firmware?

I think Creative should add the Sleek Photo to the player list in downloads and add the latest version there (I have version .0.0e). I ordered my player in December (for Christmas). There are a few issues that I have addressed in my "A few annoyances with Zen Sleek Photo 20GB (Request)" thread.

  • Windows 7 64 bit driver for the Zen Vision M?

    - Where EXACTLY can I find the Windows 7 64-bit driver for the Zen Vision M? My new computer came with it installed in Windows Media Player 2, but the driver became corrupt. I can't seem to find that driver on the Creative or Microsoft download websites. Please Help!

The driver is nati've to Windows. Creative does not write the MTP driver. I would suggest re-install WMP2 or contact Microsoft for advice if it is corrupt. As for software to use the player on a 64 Win 7system? there is nothing for the Vision M. You may want to read this page? http://support.creative.com/KB/showarticle.aspx?sid=605&h=3

  • Problem with Zen Creative

I bought my player the last summer and I have the white screen of death since two months. I have already read the post of the white screen, but I want to know if that is a problem of all player Zen Creative 4gb/8gb/6gb or it happens only to some.
Please answer my question, im thinking to bring it back, but if it is a problem of all the players, i will not trouble to send it. I really like the player, but with this problem i'm very upset with Creative.
    Thank you for answer <img title="Smiley Wink" src="http://forums.creative.com/i/smilies/6x6_smiley-wink.gif[/img] alt="">

Some of my friends have been experiencing similar problem with the Zen Creative but that does not necessarily mean there is some problem with the software. You should double check before taking any step.

  • External Charger For the Zen Mic

will there be an external charger for the Zen Micro? So you can always have a juiced up battery ready and willing to go? =)

I think it's a huge inefficiency to require that the player be out of commission during the battery charging.
An optional external charger would remedy this problem and would make having a second battery the seamless way to have constant connectivity.
As it stands, you can't use the player for 3+ hours while it's charging.
These proprietary batteries that are only chargeable via Creative products are confining and non-user-friendly.
An optional external charger would make this player much more usable.
    PS - otherwise - I LOVE IT!!!

  • Firmware Maddness for the Zen Mic

Is it just me or is this firmware business out of control for the Zen Micro?
Having a .0 series and a 2.0 series at the same time is creating way too much confusion!
Aren't MP3 players supposed to be replacing portable CD Players and Cassette Players? Well the coolness factor is there, but the user experience has some serious room for improvment.
The common person would have no clue what the heck to do with all these firmware downloads. Even the descriptions of the firmware would be very confusing for most people getting into MP3 players for the first time. I am very happy with my Zen Micro and am using Windows Media Player as my Music Manager without any problems. I guess I am supposed to wait for the new 2..02 beta to get "un-betad" instead of downloading the new .02.05 but that's just a guess at this point. There are a ton of MP3 players out there with more features and a lower price than iPods, but they still don't come close to outselling it. That's because its the ease of use, not necessarily the features that separates iPods from the rest of the pack. Hey Creative, dummy these things down and watch your sales go up! You will reach a whole new set of customers if you do!

I agree, I'd like to see creatives mp3 players and napsters service to be a profitiable and long-lasting business because I think this way of finding and listening to music is wonderful.. but the firmware updates/formatting the dri've/and all this other technical stuff is a little bit much for the average person to deal with. Also the newest non-MTP version has a bunch of new fixes which the newest MTP version apparently doesn't even have but they both came out the same day or so? I dont understand that.
