Cover page

When printing to an HP photosmart 6515 printer from a remote location by sending it to the @hpeprint.com address the printer automatically prints a cover page, which is a big waste of paper. how can I stop/cancel the cover page? We don't want it for anything sent to the printer

Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that when you are sending an email to your printer’s ePrint email address that it is printing a cover page.
I’m wondering if the cover page you are referring to is the body of the email you are sending to the printer?  If it isn’t could you please let me know what information is printed on the cover page?  In addition, please let me know which make/model/product number of HP printer you have (Guide to finding your product number).

    For sideloaded content the nook pulls the metadata from ePub file itself.  I would suggest looking at a program like Sigil or Calibre that will let you edit the metadata in the book to make it appear like you want.
    For the PDF vs ePub - No, that's the way PDFs work (think of them as graphics, not text), wheres ePubs are Web Pages - so  no you can't them to behave exactly alike without converting the files.

    If you open the Pages panel, (Window>Pages) you will see thumbnails of your master pages and your document pages. In new documents, there is usually a master called A-Master and one called None. If you drag the thumbnail of the None master onto the thumbnail of a document page, it will apply that master to that page. Presumably, you have made your page numbers on A-Master, so this will usually do the trick. If you have elements on A-Master that you need on the first page, but just not the page number, you can duplicate A-Master (which, by default will give you B-Master, but you can change the names if you like) and remove the page number on the duplicate and apply that to the document page.
    It might also be worth noting that you can apply master pages in the fly-out of the Pages panel. Go to the fly-out triangle and go down to Apply Master to Pages…, then select a master to apply and the range of pages (1-8 will give you all 8, 1, 3, 5, 7 will be the odds, 1-3, 4, 6-8 if you want continuous ranges and individual pages).

    The folio i'm making is for a 'show and tell' sort of thing, it needs to be quite linear so has top start from the cover every time it's opened and then be read through. I know it's as easy as just using nav to return to cover but the people i'm making this for have 0 knowledge and 0 willingness to learn therefore i'd like the folio to reset to the cover page whenever the content viewer is closed and reopened.
    I had it working on a previous iteration but on my latest version it remembers what page i'm on when I reopen the viewer (logical and handy I know but not in this instance).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cover Page should be the first page and then the remaiing pages.

    It's not possible to find the no of pages the script will generate, until it's printed. Again, you need the cover letter as the first page.
    There could be a solution to your requirement. Call the script and get OTF format without printing it to spool. You will get to know the no of pages in the main script . If it's more than 10, call the secondary script to get the OTF data of cover letter. Merge the OTF of main script to OTF of cover letter and print the OTF data to spool using FM PRINT_OTF.
    Check this link for similar code. In your case, the spool of the two sapscripts needs to be merged.

  • Is it possible to ignore the cover page of a document when viewing two pages at a time.

    when viewing a document with two pages up at a time, I want to ignore the very first page/cover page in the document so that all subsequent pages line up correctly. I can't find how to do this, is it possible. I cannot extract or delete the first page b/c the document is protected. I don't want to modify the document in any way. This document is a catalog that has information spread across two pages. So, when the cover page is included in the two page scroll viewing option, all the corresponding pages are offset by one page. I want the cover page to be at the top, by itself and the rest of the pages to show side by side.

  • How to get rid of blank white page next to cover page when converting an indesign file into a pdf flip book

    Hey Everyone,
    I created an catalog using indesign and now I want to convert that into a pdf flip book. I have exported it as a SWF then changing the SWF back into a pdf. It works great however, I keep getting a blank white page next too my cover page, and I really don't want this. I find it very distracting and visually unappealing. Is there any way to get rid of this blank white page? Or any other suggestions on how to create a flip book out of an indesign file.

    It sounds as if you're not checking the pagination properties of the chapter after the problem within the book file.
    The book file settings always trump the component file's settings.
    So this would mean that, if Chapter 3 is set in the book file to start on a Right page, the book enforces this by adding a blank page to Chapter 2.
    You should be able to fix this by selecting all the component chapters in the book, right-clicking and setting all the pagination properties to start on Next Available page, but I don't have 7 on this system so I can't give you the exact key strokes.

    How can we implement a custom Z form SAP fax cover page as the default fax cover page in SAP workplace, it makes you enter the Z form name in fax cover page entries when we tested it each time you do a fax, Iu2019m sure the users arenu2019t going to want to do that.   Research Iu2019ve done on SAP seems to say you change the Default SAP fax cover page form in transaction SO41 the OFFICE-TELEFAX form which had the From: company name and address hardcoded with SAPu2019s German company name and address which we don't want to use.

    We decided to use Z fax cover created from OFFICE-TELEFAX and when you enter the Z fax cover name in fax detail entries it keeps the entry in field in SBWP we've found so you don't have to retype it in and we hardly do any user controlled fax of reports right from SAP, mostly email of reports they do thru SBWP SAP Office.  And auto fax, auto email of documents with NACE records thru SCOT, SOST transaction to an Esker Deliveryware fax server.

    In Acrobat X, how about make a toolbar button/hotkey for "show cover page in two page view"?  I find toggling this option to be useful for changing up the order of adjacent pages in magazines/books in which a two page spread has to match for a full large picture.  Due to frequent toggling, I would like a button/hotkey for this for easier access.

    Hotkeys for existing menu items are not modifiable, but you can add a scripted button which toggles it with the following code:
    if (layout.substr(-5)=="Right") layout = layout.replace("Right","Left");
    else layout = layout.replace("Left","Right");
    For info on how to add a button with a folder-level script, see the Acrobat SDK documentation. Scripted buttons will appear in a new panel on the tools pane in Acrobat X, not on the tool bar.

  • Which product do I purchase???? - Creating a merged PDF report from excel with cover page

    Hi Guys,
    I work in the BI field and have created a pdf document using PDFCreator and another third part scripting tool called jpdfbookmarks.
    We have delivered something to the client but the quality of the output ( not the best) and the time it takes to cycle through each page ( when being viewed) within the merged
    pdf document takes a little time...
    So my boss as asked me to explore something within the Adobe suite of products BUT.... i have no idea which one i should choose.
    My requirements are as follows:
    To deliever this report to the client the program needs to be able to do the following:
    1)  convert excel files to pdf
    2) take these individually created converted excel to pdf converted files and and merge them into 1 document
    3) within this merged document have the abilty to be able to bookmark each page
    4) have a cover page with hyperlinks
    5) and finally but most important of all to be able perform steps 1 to 4 above programatically through scripting language vb script / vba
    nice to haves:
    6) abilty to email each merged doc to list of email address
    7) abilty to edit document to add in hyperlinks etc
    Need to get an understanding of costs ie
    1) how much per licence
    2) what product with have all the features above and how much
    Can anyone please be kind enough to point me in the right direction as to what product would be best suited?? Being able
    to scipt a solution together is key.

    You can do everything except the cover page with Adobe Acrobat (Standard or Pro).  There are demos on our website that you can install and try out.  You will need the SDK documentation and sample code to learn how to automate/program.

I'd like to fill a folder with new covers and have them wind up replacing the covers of PDF files, or page 1 with covers that have the same file name. This is my starting point.

    The initial view setting is the responsibility of the document author - if they have defined one you cannot override it.
    There's an option to set a default pagination and zoom for when the PDF itself has no preference, but it makes no sense for that to allow for cover pages as Acrobat has no idea if one exists or not.

    I have compiled a photo portfolio in Bridge and wish to have a clean cover page that does not have the contact info, copyright, etc., that exists on the photo pages.  The cover page was created in Ps and imported into Bridge.
    From what I can see, Bridge does not allow you to add info to certain pages, it's either none or all of them - which unfortunately includes the cover page.
    Any thoughts?  I do like how Bridge lays out the portfolio with size of image related to size of file.

  • Cover page not available

    Hello all,
    In the sections area of my pages, there are no different style of templates available other than a blank and a text page. No cover page or table of content sections available which is weird because it is mentioned in the PDF and video tutorials. Do you think I purchased a faulty version?
    I am very new at this, so I would appreciate some input.

    Open the Template chooser. File > New from Template chooser. Look at the left grey column! you probably have selected Blank. Select something else or all.

    I have a 20 page document I am working on but I want to know how to customize the settings for the cover page totally different from the rest of the other pages?  I want the margins to be different from the other pages, I don't wnat headers or footers, etc.  Please help.

    The actual margins are fixed for the entire document but you can work inside those with margin insets.
    You can make the first page a section on its own or use:
    Inspector > Layout > Section > Configuration > Fisrt page is different
    Headers and Footers are set for the entire document, but they can be empty on the first page of a section or in selected sections, where you want them to not show.
