Coverflow scrolling - Too Big a Jump

Since I started (sometimes) using Coverflow to browse my library, I find it annoying that clicking once on the scroll bar makes the albums jump about three screens worth.
The proper action for clicking on a scroll bar is to move just one screen worth - every reasonable program we use works that way, except iTunes. Really, iTunes should jump just a half a screen, so that the album just at the edge of view becomes the centered item.
Am I missing some setting? Will this ever be corrected?

I have found this to be a problem as well. Like other products, the scroll speed should start slow, and only speed up if the user moves the cursor further outside the panel.

as I said, I can not see the bottom of the photo shop page, I cannot see the botom dock, nor can I resize the photohsop page cuz it will not allow me to.... thus the problem.... I must have hit some setting of page set up, ??
what you see is what I see, the botom is cut off , with no option to wcroll or move... I cannot grab the bottom right coner and drag the page smaller....

Ipod touch 2g (8gb) upgrade from 3.1.3 to 4.2, is this too big of a jump?

I have a 2g 8gb iPod touch that is currently running 3.1.3. I want to upgrade mainly because some of the apps I want now need iOS 4+ to run. I looked up how upgrades went for others with my same iPod and most said it went pretty well, especially if you were upgrading to 4.2. Is going from 3.1.3 to 4.2 too big of a jump to make in one upgrade?

Window too big

Last night i reset the prefs in Safari and now the page is too big. the scroll slider on the right is not in view. I trashed the plist file but no luck.
any thoughts?

You did not say whether you had tried clicking on the green re-size button in the top left of the window (on the title bar). That usually sets the size to the max or optimum size for the screen. If you then drag the size (bottom right corner) to a custom size, clicking the green button will toggle between the two sizes.
Firefox windows had a nasty habit of jumping up to the point that the top of the window was hidden, and the title bar was hidden as well as the toolbars. To see them again, I had to use command-D (create bookmark) to make the title bar show itself again. Version 2.0.0.11 (current but 2.0.0.12 is waiting for me to re-boot) does the same thing but only when I attempt to move the window while it is in the middle of downloading a document.

When I open my iPad the page is too big for the screen and won't shrink down. The keypad has also become very 'sticky'

Recently when I open any apps the pages are too big for the screen. They shrink when pinched but immediately become bigger again. It's very difficult to scroll too. The keypad has become very sticky. Missing letters and spaces when I type and needing to tap the keys much harder than usual

I have the exact same problem, I think. I was on my iPad 3's home page swiping R-L to locate a certain icon when all of a sudden the screen appeared to get HUGE. So big I could only see one or two icons. I couldn't even turn it off to try a reboot because after I pushed the sleep/wake button, I couldn't find the red slide bar. I finally just had to wait for the battery to die, then recharge it, and it looked normal again. I also spoke with several friends who haven either iPads or iPhones, and they've all had this happen to them. I checked my accessibility settings, and Zoom was already off. So what is causing this problem for so many people, and what can we do to prevent it? Please help.

Display is too big, can't see the menu bar.

I have a 32" tv that i connected it to my mac pro. I see te display, but it is too big. I can't see the menu bar. I've tried changing the resolution, holding control and scrolling, and changing the display size on the tv settings. Any suggestions?

If there are no size settings on the TV that work (some TVs don't have the correct settings) see if there are Overscan or Underscan settings in the Mac's Displays system preference.

One hot mail e mail account the screen/font is too big

I have multiple e mail accounts that are linked. One of the accounts now has a font size too big for the screen. I cannot view anything without moving the bars up and down or left and right. Very annoying. When I go that e mail account with internet explorer the font size, screen is normal for that e mail account just like all the others. What do I do to get firefox to display the screen in default or normal size?

your answer is for the 3rd pane, the email message itself. i have no issue with that. properties has not changed in teh upgrade to maverick OS.
the 2nd pane (message listing) and 1st pane (listing of mailbox) HAS CHANGED in upgrade to maverick OSX.
what i learnt from apple support is:
pane 2: listing of what is in mailbox. -- was possible to change font in classic style. can continue to do this in maverick osx ONLY if you choose the option retain "classic style" under properties/view. else changing the setting in your screenshot has NO IMPACT in the new user interface. so that in my book is bad coding. defect.
pane 1: listing of mailbox -- not possible. and got uglier in maverick OS as now the font is even bigger. plain ugly and needs to be retified. i have about 10 mailboxes so all my screenspace is gone with just the mailboxes and requires scrolling to folders. boring....

Display is too big

When I came in the plug on my monitor was loose and the screen was getting no power. I got the plug to power the monitor, but now the display is larger than before. Whereas a website used to fit on the screen, now it is too big and I have to scroll over to read the whole page and get the tool bar. Zoom was not activated and is set at the lowest level. How can I get the computer to go back to its compact display?

I am having a similar problem all of a sudden....
(My daughter played a game & she must have changed my settings somehow because everything on my computer is now huge! I really have no clue how to reset it, either....)

Display too big!

Display prob: Suddenly the display (menus, etc.) is magnified so much I can't see the whole screen, too big to be able to scroll side to side, can't un-zoom. Assume I'm doing something to make it happen. Any ideas to prevent? or to fix short of powering off? Thx!

Thank you! Didn't know about the 3-finger trick! Now that I know, I'm leaving Zoom on in Settings-Accessibility. (Couldn't get to that in menu while it was so big.)

my icons are all big on desktop but not on dock. safari screen doesn't fit on my display, too big. what have i done?

Possibly zoomed the screen. Hold CNTL and scroll down with the mouse or trackpad.

Too big panel on a scrollpane

i create a panel with several small panels on it, so it is too big to display in my window. therefore i want to have it a scrollpane. this way:

to have the underlaying panel with "free design",
the next panel is with boxlayout . and there is the mess.

Mail box font is TOO BIG (maverick OSX)

hi:
i sadly just upgraded to the new osX. all sorts of problems and as usual no simple chat to ask direct questions.
even though i got it from app store. no chat options are showing... for me. apparently they are suppose to.
so maybe someone in the community can help me.
the FONT on the mailbox panel + the message listing panel, are TOO BIG. and no matter what i do in the properties under font, it has no impact.
the properities/font appears only to impact the email message itself.
I need to change the FONT back to what it was before i upgraded to maverick OSX from snow leopard. its way too big.
since upgrading to maverick OSX, the font in my browswer (firefox) is still OK. nothing apears to have changed.
but in the apple mail app - A MESS.
any clues?

Dislay res too big & won't reset in prefs

The display on my PB 12 G4 1.5, loooks as if it's displayng @ 600x800
but it is set at 1024x768. In prefs I've changed the res down and it gets even
bigger but doesn't come back to nrmal when reset to 1024.
I normally run a 20' apple LCD from it mirrored with the laptop closed.
The image size jumped while using Photoshp CS and I thought I had zoomed the image but that wasn't the case. I shut down, disconnected the 20", restarted
and repaired permissions, still
same issue ie full screen is not visible( just too big) though I can move around it somewhat
Everything else seeems to be working normally
really stumped
any help would be greatly appreciated

CS6 PSD Could not export the clipboard because it is too big to export

I have been getting the error "Could not export the clipboard because it is too big to export" since upgrading to CS6. The same files at the same bit depth on the same computer do not cause this error in CS5.
In fact, I can open a file in CS5, copy it, and paste it into CS6 with no trouble. If I then copy again within CS6 and leave the program, I am given the error. (As a note, I have not run these programs simultaneously, except to run this test.)
This error appears regardless of whether Photoshop CS6 is running alone, or with several apps.
The Raw files are from a Canon 5D mark ii and tend to be 20-25MB in size,
I am running a Mac Pro 2.8GHz Quad Core Intel with 24GB of RAM. I have set the preferences to allocate 70% of this RAM, which should be sufficient. Changing the allocation to 90% or 100% has no effect, nor does adjusting the tiles configuration. My scratch disks have 130GB and 500GB free.
How do I correct this problem?

Hi, FYI, To duplicate a layer on top of itself, use Command+A, Command+J (jump the layer) if you need part of it, make a selection instead of a Command+A, this will also avoid the clipboard, and use Photoshop's scratch disk instead.
(I don't know why you run into that issue in CS6 and not in CS5, so I try to give you useful workarounds)
I'm not talking about bigger tiles, but of unlimited clipboard size that you find here for CS5: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4965
