Covers for iMac / Keyboard?

Does Apple or anyone else make a cover for the monitor and keyboard to shield it from dirt and dust? I seem to recall an older version having a cover...

Type 'Cappuccio' in the Apple Store menu. You should be able to see a range of Tucano Cappuccio covers on the results page that are designed for both 17" and 20" iMacs. The Tucano website shows both a keyboard cover and a screen cover for iMacs
I can't tell if this includes a keyboard cover, but there is also a product in the Apple Store by iSkin that is a keyboard cover only. You'll find it under Extras.
I'd buy the Cappuccio first to see if there is a keyboard cover included; if not, then get the iSkin cover as well.
Hope this helps.

  • PC key caps for iMac keyboard

I am planning to switch from PC to iMac as soon as the 2012 iMac becomes available (whenever that may be). Since I use my current desktop for work and gaming, I plan to run Boot Camp with Windows 7 all the time. I prefer the look and feel of the iMac keyboard, but would still prefer a PC keyboard layout, so I my question is this: where can I buy PC keycaps on the iMac keyboard. The keys in questions would be:
    iMac key     PC key
    cmd left       alt
    cmd right     alt gr
    alt left          windows
    alt right        menu
    f13               insert
    f14               print screen
    f15               pause/break
I have found several websites that sell replacement keycaps for iMac keyboards, but I have not found any that sell PC keycaps for iMac keyboards. Any tips?

Thanks, The hatter, but I would prefer to keep the iMac keyboard since I really like its look and feel. No idea where I can buy PC keycaps for it?
I just strikes me, wouldn't this be something Apple could sell to custmers that buy iMacs to use primarily with Windows? I mean, since switching to Intel processors and offering Bootcamp, Windows would as natural a choice for iMac users as OS X?

  • Keyboard skin for iMac keyboard with 'L' shaped Return keys -do they exist?

Hi people. Can someone PLEASE tell me where I can find a silicon cover for my European G5 iMac's keyboard. It has a large 'L' shaped Return key and all of the places I've tried (zcover etc) only stock skins for keyboards with thin, American stle Return keys.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I use this cover, the iSkin. The area that covers the return key and the key above is molded L-shaped. It will accommodate a US or Int'l Apple keyboard.

  • Protective covers for imacs

Hi, I'm hoping someone can recommend a good protective cover for my 17in imac. I'm getting a bit worried about the potential damage my two year old son could inflict on it. Ideally I'd like some sort of hard, transparent permanent item, but a good slip on cover would be OK. Any ideas?
    Cheers,
    Kev.

I use the same plastic covers that I've used for my bulky PC. I got them (computer, keyboard & printer cover set) right from my local Dollor Store. I used them when I had a G3 iMac.
Served the same purpose as far as I was concerned.
However, if you do a Google and/or MacGoogle search you will find quite a few hard & soft G5 iMac coverings.

  • Low battery warning for my iMac keyboard

I keep getting a low battery warning for my iMac keyboard even when it has brand new batteries. Is there a way to switch this off or reset it so that it doesn't keep informing me?

Hello! I also have this problem. My keyboard is brand new and so also the batteries. I have tried with different types of batteries but get the same warning. I also have tried to erase the device in the bluetooth settings and add it again. Nothing works. It is a pity because I like mac.

Does anyone know of a reliable / safe keyboard marco recorder for iMac?

A Google search shows several models of 2Wire modems http://tinyurl.com/6wj3yb2 What model do you currently have & why do you want to replace it?
I have ATT Uverse DSL & ATT provided their wireless router/modem. It's never failed during the years that I've used it (on 24/7).

Is there a website i can find quality keyboard covers for my Macbook pro 15" unibody for the following programs:
    Final Cut Pro
    Adobe (photoshop, after effects)
I also was looking around for a clear hard case.. is this one a good one? anyone have suggestions?

Depending on where you are it would be called google.xx and a third x when necessary. On another note, the covers on the apple.com site are quite good. I have the moshi one, it is really good. Except maybe that it gets a bit darker with time.

I also found this ordering page as well. http://h20141.www.2.hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=AEC685FE9D1149C7BCECFAB752    P/N:  511400-ZH1 S/N: {Removed for privacy}  P/N: 0K03-00660H2  These numbers are for orginal keyboard and mouse set for HP Touchsmart 600-1050. • My iMac is looking for wireless keyboard but I have a usb and it is plugged in.

my iMac is looking for wireless keyboard but I have a usb and it is plugged in. Right now I am using the one from my old computer. This happened once before and I unplugged/plugged in, restarted. Didn't work. Repeated several times, it finally worked. This time not so much. Any one else have this problem and know how to solve it?

Try turning off Blue Tooth in its respective preference panel. Do not try using the USB keyboard in a USB extender. Connect directly to the computer.

  • Is there available for iMac OS X version 10.4.11 700 MHz Power PC G4 a wireless keyboard and mouse combo?

Is there a wireless keyboard and mouse combo anywhere available for iMac OS X version 10.4.11 700 MHz Power PC?

All the keyboards I'm finding require built-in Bluetooth, something G3 iMacs don't have. So you'd need to start with a Bluetooth USB adaptor like this:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/IOGear/GBU321/
Its specs says it works with Mac OS 10.3.9 or newer. The you should ba able to add a wireless board and/or mouse IF you find one that has support for a Mac OS level older than 10.5 or an Intel processor. Most current boards require 10.5.8, and Intel processor, or both.
The cost for all this could easily be 4-5X the used market value of a G3 iMac so please think this through carefully. A long USB extension cable might be a better option fo such an old computer.

  • Applecare for iMac - Airport Extreme registration

I have an iMac registered with Applecare, and I'm trying to register the same applecare with my Airport Extreme. Does anyone have any idea how to do it? I used the same activation code for iMac, but it won't let me register.
Thanks in advance for any help!

If you read the applecare agreement, you will find airport extreme, keyboard, and mouse etc. are covered automatically by iMac Applecare when you use these devices with the covered iMac. Anyways.. i got the answer from another forum, i actually don't need to register it online... Thanks all the same!

  • Imac keyboard not working

The volume up and the arrow keys of my wireless keyboard for imac is are not working...all other keys are fine...what could be the problem? Also, i'd like to know if this is covered by apple 1 year warranty?

    Click on the NumLock key.
Also check that Universal Access hasn't been accidentally enabled in the System Preferences.
Oh by the way, iMacs can't run iOS.   Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac and tell us your Mac OS X version if you want more detailed advice.
