I have a PDF of a Powerpoint containing both text and Excel files...can I convert this back to a modifiable Powerpoint ??

I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad). Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes so I want to restore it. Dont want to lose my files from my iPad.

My trouble started when I was trying to update my IPad but it was taking too long (internet was scetchy) so I powered off...now Im having problems. I haven't tried to update again since this problem. Any suggestions? Should I restore? Should I update to 7.0.6? (currently 7.0.3).

PDF embedded in Powerpoint

Hi folks.
This problem occurred after I converted a PDF file from PowerPoint and then embedded it in PowerPoint slides. Whenever I tried to open and scroll through pages from the embedded PDF, the message "error in processing pages...(23)" would pop up. But I have no trouble whatsoever with PDF created from Word or Excel. Had tried uninstall/reinstall Acrobat, nothing changed.
I'm using Acrobat Pro 9, MS Office 2007 and Windows Vista.

Yeah I can, by inserting as an object. I have tried other PDFs they all worked without problems, which were not converted from Powerpoint.
By opening the individual file, it's fine but not within the slides.

How do I get pdf export to powerpoint to actually work?

Acrobat makes it sound so easy. Everything I've tried results with the same "Save as failed to process this document..."

Thank you for posting at Adobe forums.
Could you please let me know what version of Acrobat are you using.
Also, try converting another PDF file to Powerpoint format as that might be an issue with specific document that has become corrupt.
If you get the same error message for every PDF document that you try to export, then please check for Acrobat Updates under the Help menu.
Also, you might go for a repair option from the Help menu and check.

Is the PDF scanned? There might be a chance that the PDF was not encoded properly. So, please try printing your PDF to Adobe PDF printer. Then, run the OCR (for scanned file) and save the file as word document to see if this works.

Embedding a PDF file into PowerPoint 2010, clickable in SlideShow mode

If you embed a PDF file into PowerPoint slide by both draging and dropping or instering it as an object, only the first page of the PDF is embedded as a picture or you can change it to a PDF icon.
When in design mode, the embedded PDF is clickable and is opened in Adobe Reader (either from the PowerPoint slide if directly insterted or from its physical path if linked depending on the configuration).
But in slide show mode, the picture or the icon is not clickable.
The only workaround is to assign a hyperlink to the picture or the icon (the insterted object).
Is there any other way in opening a PDF file from PowerPoint Slide Show without assigning a hyperlink ??

Assign a hyperlink is the only way to accomplish Open file (.pdf, .docx, .xlsx) from PowerPoint Slide Show.
From PowerPoint slide show, it only identify the file with hyperlink.

Image covert to PDF then file size become much bigger. [iOS]

When I use picture covert to PDF then converted PDF file size become much bigger. Original picture file size is 2MB but PDF file size become 5.2MB. I'm using iPhone6.
however when I using desktop acrobat to covert the same image then PDF file sizw almost the same as original image file size.

I have created a bug report for this issue. We will try to address the issue in a future release of Acrobat DC for iOS.
In the meantime, would you use the web interface to convert your photos to PDFs?
Open Safari on your iPhone.
Go to https://cloud.acrobat.com
Sign in with your Adobe ID.
Select the Create PDF tab.
Tap "Select Files to Convert to PDF".
Tap "Choose Files from My Computer".
Select the photo(s) that you want to covert.
Tap Done.
The converted PDF document(s) will be stored in the Document Cloud.

I downloaded PDF to iBooks, tried to back to store and the screen went blank . Cannot see or access iBook library .

Quit the iBooks app completely and reset your iPad.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to iBooks the app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Are the PDFs and ibooks on your computer's iTunes ? If so then you should be able to re-sync them, if not then you can re-download ibooks for free as long as they are still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . The backup doesn't contain the contents of the ibooks app, so for them to be restored to the device they needed to be in your iTunes library.

Bring 'PDF Presentation' Back in CS4

There are several posts about how this simple script was a huge part of folk's daily workflow. I am one of those folks. Bring back the 'PDF Presentation' script. Your Bridge Output module is for entry level users, not for production level processing, and to add InDesign as a step in the 'recipe' to modify compression, Acrobat version compatibility, security, etc. is a true pain in the ***. Adobe, I hope you're listening.

The Bridge PDF AOM is just a bunch of JavaScript that creates UI in Bridge and
loads and calls an External Object/library to do the actual processing. Unless
they did something to the PDF AOM that makes it only work in Bridge, you could
write a script for PSCS4 the creates a UI and uses the PDF AOM as is done in
Bridge. Or it could call a Bridge script that does the AOM integration.
This is all theoretical, of course. I looked at this a couple of months ago
because I have a client (still on CS3) that uses PDF Presentation. I'll have to
get this sorted out one way or another when they get ready to upgrade.

How to prevent the logo from cutting off when making a pdf from a powerpoint presentation.

The descender of the "g" cuts off a bit on the pdf, although it's fine on the ppt doc. Any suggestions on how to correct this? Thanks.
