CP 6 disable slides transitioning on left click

Hello,
I'm having a slight issue with CP6. I'm trying to set up my project using back and next buttons, but once the slide finishes playing, if i left click anywhere on the screen, it proceeds to the next slide.
my set up:
I am importing PowerPoint 2007 files into my project with High Fidelity, with transition set to automatic.
I am using master slides with a back and next button on them already, with the check box selected for "Pause project until user clicks".
I don't have this issue if i import my slides without high fidelity. (however i need this selected in order to capture all of my poewrpoint functionality such as drop shadows.)

I have mananged to figure what the probelm is after a few hours. Basically it was a hardware malfunction of the trackpad, however if I just disabled the track pad the cursor was still jamed. I had to do a shut down plug in an external mouse, then without touching the tracpad at all disable using the external mouse. Now it works fine just with the external mouse.
Hope this helps anyone who has the same probelm as me.

The left-click options in the web browser are disabled in the latest version

In all the previous versions of firefox I've had no issues in the drop down menu when left-clicking to either open a link in a new tab or save highlighted text or even saving an image to my drive. However now with the latest update (20.0.1) I have come across something which disturbs me by the full length of the drop down menu (too long, too much stuff on it) and half the options are disabled, which makes it harder for me to surf the web as I am used to doing. This is a problem related to having an outdated version of Firebug, most likely you've disabled automatic update of addons.
The easiest way to fix this is to go to Tools -> Addons, and then clicking the wheel button up near the search field. From there you choose "Check for Updates" and unless you need specific versions of an addon, choose the "Update addons automatically" while you are there.
You will most likely have to update Firebug twice, as it updates to an outdated version, and from there to the newest one.
This is the solution I stumbled upon as I had the same exact problem, where I tried creating a new profile and the likes.

Disable left-click on buttons

Hi guys!
I need to disable the left-click event on a button, but not the right-click one! I don't want to catch the mouseClickedEvent and then to find if it was the left or the right button to be pressed because left-clicking on a button makes it "appear pressed", so the user wonders "What's going wrong with this button??!!"
Any help?

The image above was taken on a photgraphic weekend where the group (of all young ladies ) I was travelling with, set us a photography challenge. The one above was my response to a 'faceless portrait'. The only other one I attempted was this response for a picture of a 'wild animal', featuring camera club president Liz.
Oh what fun we had, laughing and laughing until our faces fell off.

MBP 2008 Click disabled on trackpad, left click not working on mightymouse & wacom pen tablet.

i have a problem with a Macbook pro 2008.
The trackpad click button is not working anymore
(i've already tried to remove the battery underneath and push the wire that's connected to the pad,
nothing changed).
I've managed to sync a mightymouse, left click is disabled as well
(but not right click).
Then i've tried with a wacom tablet. Right click works, but not left.
(also tested switching buttons, yet no left click).
In conclusion :
left click is not functionning with any of the peripherals,
left & right click are disabled on the trackpad.
I've also tried "tap to click" without success.
Does someone have any idea of what is happening?
And how could a have the left click back?

Since you have a 2014 MBP, by definition it is in the 1 year warranty period. Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar and have the technicians sort the unit out for you.

How to disable Alt-Left Click windowing?

So, I set up my Magic mouse to take advantage of the "highlight-paste" feature of X11 by having a gesture (click 3 fingers on the mouse) on the mouse do the Alt-Left Click to paste what I've just highlighted. This gesture is easily done on accident, and now I've discovered this annoying windowing feature. If I move to a new window and accidentally click with 3 fingers, it causes the previous program I was in to disappear. I can quickly return to it with a Command-tab, since it did not quit the progrm, but it is annoying and I want to turn it off.
I've looked in the keyboard shortcuts in the system preferences - but those deal with keyboard-only shortcuts, not keyboard+mouse actions. I can't find it in the Mouse section of the Sys Pref, either.

This question has been asked before. Once again, you can NOT do this using pure java. This could be done in Windows using JNI and a keyboard hook or interfacing with the screensaver API perhaps.

Trackpad left click not working

The left click on my trackpad, bluetooth or usb mouse is not working anymore.
Macbook 2006 core2duo
OSX 10.6.8 (snow leopard)
I tried:
- reset PRAM(apple+option+p+r)
- without battery
- boot in safe mode (shift)
Without succes.
Also tried to disable The trackpad with:
- defaults write com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad USBMouseStopsTrackpad 1
But the trackpad is still enabled also after log out an in again.
The option in the "Universal Access" settings is not enabled as well.
How can I enable this option "ignore trackpad when mouse" without a mouse?
Tab does not work.
Any other suggestions what I can try to fix?
ps. I was in the apple store and they want 100euros for sending it to the service center)

- repair disk (diskutil repairPermissions disk0s2)
wiyhout success

All my markers on a given piece of audio allows me to left click to highlight the time signature until my audio reaches the one hour point. From there on, the left click will not give me the drop down menu in order to copy and then paste into an Excel sheet I then have to submit for the proofing purposes. After the one hour mark, I can only control/c in order to highlight, then when I slide up to my Excel sheet, I'm able to right click and paste. Why is the program not, all of a su allowing me to left cllick the mouse and have a drop down menu give me the option to "copy, " as it does for any time signature markers up to 1:00:00.000?

Which version of Audition? With the latest version of Audition running on a Windows 7 machine I can't get a dropdown menu at all when I left click on the time in Markers List. The only way to do it is with cntrl-c.

Newest version 18.0.2 - some hyperlinks on some pages cannot be opened by simple left-click

Firefox 18.0.2 - only in this newest version - in many cases (but not all) hyperlinks on pages (e.g. search results and also common links on some sites) cannot be opened by simple left-click, Firefox just do nothing at this moment, only refreshes current page.
I mean not opening in a new tab but even in the same tab - link is not opened anyway though link is correct itself, it opens if I do this by right-click or CTRL+click (open in new tab or new window) .
Strange issue which I clearly see now after last update to version 18.0.2 (on Windows XP). Everything have been okay a little ago on previous version.

Left click on a link does not open the link; a small blue window opens saying loading then closes.

Left click on any link in a web page does not open the link. A very small blue window appears with the word loading and a few moving dots. In a few seconds the blue window closes but the link does not open. Links used to open. If I right click the link, I can open the link in a new window. Many new windows pile up. This is a nuisance.
I am using Firefox 3.6.8 for Canonical 1.0 in Ubuntu 9.10.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

Ctrl + left click doesn't open links in new tabs although I don't have Tabmix addon

In a previous thread, this question has been answered as related to Tab Mix Plus and resolved as "Disabled extension Tab Mix Plus 0.3.8.6, now ctrl + left click opens links in new tabs"
However, I don't have Tab Mix installed at all. I have Tab Utilities 1.1.5. Probably that one interfers with the behaviour.
Is there a way to resolve this without giving up Tab Utilities or is there any other good tab utility addon that doesn't prevent Ctrl + left click?
This behaviour appeared after updating Firefox. Thus, I don't agree to consider it just a problem of addons but rather Firefox itself! I don't want to give up Tab Utilities until standard Firefox settings cover all (or at least most) of the functions it offers.

Address bar suggestion drop down no longer accepts a left click to auto complete and goto url, instead left click is forcing a generic search.

Using firefox 31.0, following update I seem to no longer be able to left click a suggested url for it to auto-complete and GOTO...
I am happy to recheck all about:config again, as part of getting to the route of this "issue", ..
In fact I will try anything, I have tried a fresh install of firefox, this has not worked, however the "feature" I am trying to describe still works under safe mode, which means I think that there has to be something that is incorrect in my config.

I am bad a rhyming, but Safe Mode essentially only disables add ons. I would disable them one by one to find the culprit.

I used to open, bbc radio 2, with a left click on the 'listen' tab? this now longer responds, I have to now right click the mouse button and open link in a new tab? whats wrong

I used to be able to open BBc Radio 2 via the 'Listen' link with a left click of the mouse button, this nolonger works, I now have to right click the link and 'open link in a new tab'
I must have disabled something?
If you can help then please make it easy for me to understand.

the user jay_ff shows how to do it using the Menu Editor Add-on
1. Install the Menu Editor add-on from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/menu-editor/ .
2. After the installation, go to Firefox> add-ons (or simply use Ctrl+Shift+A)
3. Go to the Menu Editor "Options"
4. In the "Main context menu," simply grab the "Open link in New Tab" and place it below the "Open Link in New Window"
5. and Voila! You may also change other menu options if you want to!
I tried jay_ff method first and found that indeed changing the Main Context Menu did cause the hotlink context menu to change as well.

Slide transitions are choppy only on replay

When I watch a video I've created (either using the F4
preview or after publishing to SWF), the initial view functions as
planned. When I click my 'Replay' button on the last slide,
transitions between slides with a 10 or 15% transparent image don't
transition properly. The video "jumps". Here are my details...
Using Captivate 3
Projects range in size, but are fairly average-to-small
* 15 - 30 slides
* 0:50 - 1:50 in length
2 slides next to each other each have a .PNG image to fade
out the background, so text can be read more easily
* 10% or 15% transparency set on the images
* No transition set between slides
* No Fade in or Fade out set on images
'Replay' button jumps to Slide 2. Get the same behavior
jumping to Slide 1.
If I use the 'Restart/Replay' button on the Playbar, the
slides transition smoothly. Here's a sample of what happens:

I think now I might have mis-read your original post, as it
seemed then that you were assigning the transparency and some other
attributes to the PNG image prior to insertion to Captivate,
thinking those attributes would be mimicked within Captivate.

my part. I do see what you refer to as "glitchy", however, and
don't have a fix for it aside from leaving off the objects that
seem to be causing it - or accepting that a "replay" can be worked
around or avoided entirely. Sorry I don'thave anything to offer
that is more to the point of your complaint. Maybe someone else ...
