Cp 6 pausing screen until rollover active

Hi Guys!
I use Adobe Captivate 6 to create e-Learning. I have some slide where I use rollover caption. The question is: Is it possible to pause the slide when the rollover caption is active and continue timing if move away the cursor. If yes, how can I do that.

Not possible AFAIK, because rollover captions do not have an event that can trigger an action like Pausing.
You could use a rollover slidelet, which has a rollover event to pause the slide, but there is no rollout event.
If you need only SWF-output I would recommend the Eventhandler widget of InfoSemantics.

I am trying to use advanced conditional and standard actions in order to prompt a user to rollover 5 rollover slidelets before a "continue" button appears. I have attached variables to each rollover slidelet, created the button and marked it as invisbile, and have created a contitional action but I'm not sure where to attach the action:
Am I using an extremely complicated method to do something so simple? I have tried various methods, get close, but then the project continues to the next slide when it should pause until the continue button is clicked even though the property "Pause project until user clicks" is checked.

I have described that work flow multiple times, mostly with clicks instead of rollovers but slidelets have two events, one of them is the rollover itself. So you'll have to trigger the conditional action with that event. But as Rod points out, the mimicked standard action (first decision) should focus only on that rollover and assign the value 1 to that boolean variable (don't increment, has no real sense). Then the condition will have a AND combination to check all the values, and show the button only in that case. You will have 5 similar conditional advanced actions, one for each rollover event. But since they will be almost identical (only the boolean variable label has to be changed), duplicating and editing that action will not take a long time. If you were on CP7 you could use a shared action, but duplicating will even there be the quicker solution IMO.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Multiple desktops and dual screens really aren't meant to work together. Apple came up with this multiple desltops feature and never really thought about users that use a dual monitor setup. So use either multiple desktops OR dual monitors but not both. Also don't try to use any App in Full Screen Mode as that doesn't work with dual screen setups either.

I need to set up the screen selection per activity and account group.
I need extra "display only" fields on the customer change, and in a standard way i can do it but it will affect all account groups.

This will show maintainble feilds in the master data.
This can be maintained from....
SPRO>SD>Master Data-->Bussiness Partners -->Customer -->Sales -->Maintain reserve feilds for customer master.
You can then use the same in the customer records and maintain conditions for the same.

Screen/energy saver activation times

I have a MacBook Pro and recently purchased a cool screensaver for it. However, after about 30 minutes, my dual screens just turn black instead of displaying the screen saver.
I am assuming this is for energy preservation etc but wonder if there is a way to adjust the time before the screens turn black as you can adjust the time before the screen saver is active ?

You need to go into System Preferences-Energy Saver, and set you display time for when it goes to sleep after being inactive. You will need to do this under Power Adapter, and Battery settings.

How do I change the way Mail notifies me of new mail? My notifier appears and just stays on the screen until I acknowledge it.

A while back I changed a setting in Mail pertaining to notification of a new email arrival. The banner stays locked on the screen until I take an action. It used to display and then disappear soon afterward. I can't remember how I adjusted the setting, or even where the settings for notifier are. Can someone help?

You're assuming correctly. Simply change the settings so that your screen saver activates before the sleep settings.

Pause screen sharing

First of all not sure if this is the right forum to post. This forum seems to be the closest.
We are using Lync 2013 and using Lync meeting option extensively. So far this has been so good, one single place for screens sharing and voice conference.
Have one problem though. I don't know how to pause screen sharing while sharing my desktop. It will be really helpful feature to pause your current screen that you are sharing. This allows user to switch to other programs and helps maintin privacy, specially
when with a larger group. One may want to check that important email for which a notification just popped-up, it won't be possible with current options. An alternative is to select programs that one wants to share and not share your desktop, but this shows
a blank screen to users when the shared program is minimized (or even restored).

The normal situation is when minimize the shared program, it will show: “There’s nothing to see right now-all the presenter’s windows are minimized.” When restore it, other users will see the program normally.
As you can share program at first, you can try the issue on other computer with your Lync account.
Please also update Lync client to the latest version and then test the issue again.

Status of the screen remains 'Modified/Active'

Hi All,
     In a standard screen I want to make a field as mandatory.
     I didnt find any exits. So I got the access key for that program and made
    'Input property' as 'Required'.
     When I activate that screen and its flow logic the status remains 'Modified/Active'.
     Whether it will create any problem while transport ?
     If so how to get it done.
      I have tried by activating the entire funtion group also, but still that screen is in
'Modified/Active'.

I didnt do any code change which affects other programs. Just I have changed the property of an input field to 'Mandatory'.
The status of the screen is 'Modified/Active'. It didnt gave any error in syntax check
both in program and he transport request.
Whether anything to be done to make it to Active or shall I proceed to transport with the
status 'Modified/Active' .

Notification when screen saver goes active

My program needs to know when the Windows screen saver becomes active. Is there some way to catch an OS event that indicates that the screen saver has become active?

Reading here, I think you can use InstallWinMsgCallback() to get the WM_SYSCOMMAND message with WParam == SC_SCREENSAVER when the scrrensaver starts.
In the page I linked there's an explanation on how to detect if screensaver is still running.
