CP-8941 Multiple Call/Call Waiting Settings issue

Hi,
i want to change the cisco ip phone 8941 busytrigger to 1 but in all my phones its grayed.
i upgraded the firmware to SIP 9-2-3-5. and restarted the call manager servers, but still i am not able to change it.
i am using CUCM 8.6.2.
is there a way to do this...
my actual problem is  if
user1-------calls-----------user2(both phones gets busy)
user3-------calls----------user2(user3 must listen busy tone, and user2 should be notified of a call from user3).
but in my case user3 is not getting busy tone instead he is getting ringback and thinks user2 is ignoring the call of user3.
so can i solve this issue in any other way...

Hi Mohammed,
You need to install cmterm-894x-qed.9-2-2-0.cop.sgn from the following link on all the servers and restart the TFTP service and then reset the 8941 IP phones

Multiple Calls Per Line
The Cisco Unified IP Phones 8941 and 8945 now support Multiple Calls Per Line.
Each line can support multiple calls. By default, the Cisco Unified IP  Phones 8941 and 8945 support four active calls per line, and a maximum  of 24 active calls per line. Only one call can be connected at any time;  other calls are automatically placed on hold.
The system allows you to configure the maximum calls/busy trigger to not  more than 24/24 both for SCCP and SIP. The default call/busy trigger  value is 4/2.
This feature is supported on both SIP and SCCP phones, with Unified CM 7.1(5) and later.

  • Call waiting says "multiple calls" rather than listing the number or the contact.  Does anybody know how to fix this?

Call waiting says "multiple calls" rather than listing the number or the contact.  This error is not consistent, sometimes it says "multiple calls" and other times it lists the contact.  This is happening on a coworker's iPhone 4s.  Does anyone know how to get it to list the contact every time?
    Thank you,
    Dan

It sounds as though it may not be ending calls correctly, I would try restarting the phone, and then resetting all settings.

  • Call Waiting - cannot turn it on in settings

I haven't had call waiting for months. Each time I attempt to turn it on in settings, I get the response "Could not save call waiting setting". Anyone else have this issue?

Contact your carrier. That setting is not really on the iPhone, per se - changing that setting merely transfers that request to the carrier's server. So...call them.

  • After installing 6.0.1 on my iPhone 4 I no longer get notification when another call comes in when I'm on another call. In phone settings I no longer have the icons for call waiting and call forwarding. My carrier is sprint

I no longer get notifications that another call is coming in when I'm on the phone. In the settings under phone I do not see any availabilty for call waiting or call forwarding. I had this feature before installing the new update 6.0.1.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer.  As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you.  I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.
    Best.

  • Call Waiting issues HELP!!!!

Whenever I have an incoming call and I try to switch to it, it disconnects the first call I was on. My phone seems to be missing the call waiting option. it is not located under the Options measure....HELP!!!!!

I checked with them. They said I do have it. Now they think I should bring in the phone to a store to see if the phone itself is the one with issues. Oh well. I hope they can sort it out because it is so annoying not being able to use the feature.

  • I have iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.2 and my call waiting stopped working. Anyone know how to fix this ? Or also having this issue? I hear the beep when the call comes in but not ID and no option to switch calls.

My call waiting stopped working in iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.2 ? Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it?

I have this issue as well and it really bothers me.

  • TA38607 My iphone4s does not have the call waiting option in settings. What's going on.

My call waiting feature was working then suddenly disappeared. In settings>phone there is not listing to set the call waiting feature. This is an iPhone 4s on Sprint network. Anyone know what is going on here?

Give Sprint a call and see what they say, it is a carrier feature.

  • Note 4 - Calling waiting/conference call issues

Is this a defect in the new note? I am in able to end calls when answering a call (i.e. call waiting/conference calls). The other person can hang up but my phone will still say they are on hold. Which on turns holds up my free line.
I find this rather annoying. Will this problem be corrected in an update?

Did you get a response on this from Skype?
    Regards
    Bill

  • Call waiting issues/questions

Does anyone know if Blackberry has a call-waiting app similar to "Feel It" but with an audible ring tone instead of just vibrating?

    what is "feel it" ?

I have an Iphone5s and use Verizon.  Frequently when I am on a call, it sounds as if there is an incoming call but it does not show up in call waiting or in missed calls.  When I went to check on line,  the fix involved a screen that I did not even have on my phone.  Anyone else have this problem and is there a solution?  I can't seem to get tech support at Verizon.  Boo.

        Hi Debsy1,
Thanks for the additional details! Let's get this issue resolved. What software version is the device on? Please reset the Network Settings on the device. Go to settings>general>reset>reset network settings. Please Note: Audio alerts may also indicate delivery of incoming text messages or emails. The tone will vary based on the type of information being delivered to the device. Tones may also indicate low battery charge or inadequate signal strength. Keep me posted with results.
    Thanks,

  • Upgrade to IOS 6.1 - all incoming calls come in as a call waiting call when there is no other call going on, and it won't let me actually answer the call.

I upgraded my AT&T iPhone 4 from IOS 6.0.1 to IOS 6.1 on Monday evening. It completed successfully overnight and everything looked good on Tuesday morning until I received my first call. When the phone rang, the screen showed the typical 'call waiting' screen, asking me if I wanted to 'End Call and Answer', 'Ignore Call', or 'Hold Call and Answer'. Using any of the selections still does not allow the call to be answered. It takes a hard reboot to clear the call.
If I make an outgoing call, the phone hangs on the 'End Call' portion. It shows the button being pressed and that it is ending the call, but it doesn't ever end. It also takes a hard reboot to clear the call.
So, I have tried hard reboots of the phone, without any success. Last night, I tried to reset the phone to factory settings and restored my phone content from iTunes. Unfortunately, I still was having the issue. I have also tried restoring the Network Settings, and that did not work as well.
Has anyone seen any similar behavior and have any advice?
    Thanks

A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.
*There has got to be a simpler way.*
I hope you're right, but I don't think there is a simpler way.
BACKUP:  It also appears that the only way I can back up the catalog is to shut down LR.  Really?!
    Yes, really

  • UC 520 - Call waiting and busy

    Hi everyone
I just inherited the management of a UC 520.  The phones are configured like this:
    ephone-dn  6  dual-line
     number 800
     label XYZ
     name XYZ
     call-forward noan 900 timeout 20
I am having a problem with busy lines.  Specifically, let us say that there are two users, Jack and Nick.  If Jack calls Nick and Nick happens to be on a call already, Jack does not receive a user busy but the line continues to ring normally.  I need to ensure that Jack knows that Nick is engaged in another call.
I've been googling the past 2 hours but cannot find how to address this behaviour.
    Any help?

Settings > Phone > Call Waiting > On.
Edit - what I provided is for when recieving a call when on another call.
I have never used any other cell phone with multiple carriers that provides this info.

  • My iPhone 5, periodically, will not show the call waiting number. It beeps but will not give me the option to swicth over or show me who is calling. The call doesn't appear in my "recents" either.

We appreciate your feedback on this matter, gingerspice913. I've not come across this issue before.  Do you know how long it has been since the issue began? Please try to reset the network settings to see if it helps http://vz.to/1swAJbD?

  • Phone keeps ringing on the caller's end - Is This a Call Waiting and Flash Button Problem?

I had FIos phone service installed 2 weeks ago.  I am having a sporadic but regularly occurring issue with incoming calls that I think might be related to the Call Waiting and flash button so I am looking for some input.  Before describing the issue here are a couple of things to know:
    - I have my Verizon voice mail service turned off on my account.
    - I have the call waiting function set to off.
    - On my phone handset the Talk and Flash operation is the same button.
Now here is my issue.  Often but not 100% of the time people are telling me that the phone just rings and rings on their end.  After receiving many complaints since my Fios install that the phone rings and my phone answering machine does not pick up the call I have been calling my home phone number with my cell phone and I have determined the following:
    1.  My home answering machine will pick up the call, however on my cell phone which is the calling end the  phone is still just ringing.
    2.  Sometimes I will press the talk button but there will be dead air but on my cell phone which is the calling end it will still be ringing..  But if I press the Talk/Flash button a couple of times the call completes.
Since my Talk and Flash button are the same I started to wonder if that is a factor so I repeated scenarios above and found that after pressing the Talk button a couple of times then the call is answered and the phone stops ringing on the caller's end.
I know that with Call Waiting the caller's end will just keep ringing unless the called end switches over with the Flash button.  So my question is even though I have the Call Waiting function turned off could the combination Talk/Flash button be the reason why the call just rings on the caller's end even though I have Call Waiting turned off?  And f this is the cause then why is it happening and does it mean that I have to buy a new phone that has separate Talk and Flash buttons?
I hope the above description of my problem makes sense and can be answered.  Thank you

Without buying a new phone you can test this. Unplug the phone that has the combination button. If its a cordless phone base station with multiple handsets, make sure you unplug those as well. Then use a regular phone plugged in to do test calls (if you dont have one you could maybe borrow one for a couple minutes from a friend, family, or neighbor).
