CP issues during data migration through IDOC

HI,
We are migrating data from One server to another thru PFAL, but the CP data is not posted as it gives the error
Relationship starting from 01P 00093159 impossible - 01CP50002607 does not exist/is not active
is there a way to migrate the CP data ?

Check the BD64 configuration if the relationship is filtered out in the Message type.
Try sending the CP object first to the other server and then resend the person again. The error is because the The object is not existing the Target system.

RDS for SAP data migration through IDOC's

Dear Experts
Just now we have installed BODS 4.1 and RDS also installed now. I am in the process of exploring the RDS. I found all the migration objects is available in the form of IDOC's. Now my questions are
How to work on custom IDOC's. Do i need to extensively code on R/3 side to upload the custom fields. Like user exit or BADI for custom fileds
If yes then i would say implementation time through RDS will remain more or less same time.
Through BODS or by RDS migration objects is there any way without coding on ABAP R/3 side, Can we achieve migrating custom fields
Please let me how to achieve above requirements by RDS

Hi Vijay,
You are right, the standard content of the Rapid Data Migration RDS packages brings the content with the standard IDoc interface for SAP standard only. So custom objects are not pre-built with the package. However, we incorporated the foundation to include custom coding as easy as possible:
1) IDoc
We are using the standard interface technology IDoc. IDocs do have an enhancement concept which is described in the online help. There are three main cases and all of them are supported, however two need additional coding:
Z-fields: Additional fields in existing tables lead to IDoc segment extensions
With the IDoc segment versioning concept this is easy to realize without any ABAP coding
Z-tables: Additional IDoc segments will be necessary and lead to a new IDoc version
With the IDoc versioning concept you can easily add Z-segments with leveraging provided user exits
Custom business objects:
You can even create a complete own IDoc message type in Z-namespace for own stuff, leveraging the given ALE layer of the IDoc middleware
2) Enhancement guide
With the RDS package we offer an enhancement guide which helps you to modify the jobs and data flows in the SAP Data Services content according to the changes in the target IDoc structure to reflect additional fields and tables. We built it as a step-by-step guide following for a sample IDoc type but will work similarly for any IDoc.

Data migration through IDoc processing in LSMW

Hi all,
I have an requirement wherein i need to transfer material master data through LSMW conversion process into R/3 database.The data is to be posted through ARTMAS04 inbound IDoc.
The problem is to transfer the data simultaneousely through multiple instances of E1BPE1MARAEXTRT segment of ARTMAS04 IDoc.
for example:
I need to have an assignment that should work like this:
E1BPE1MARAEXTRT[]-FIELD1 = '00001'
E1BPE1MARAEXTRT[]-FIELD1 = '76545'
E1BPE1MARAEXTRT[]-FIELD1 = 'SAP'.
Can anybody help me in acheiving this example scenario in LSMW.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the 'Upload.aspx' page was missing or corrupted from many document libraries after migration to 2010 from 2007.
Per my knowleadge, the upgrade process sets the SPWeb.CustomUploadPage property for upgraded sites to a custom upload page titled
uploadex.aspx, as opposed to upload.aspx which is the default page for file uploads. And this custom upload page contains the “Destination Folder” field.
To removes the custom upload page (uploadex.aspx) from SPWeb, and reverts back to the default upload page (upload.aspx), we can use PowerShell script to loop through all Web sites that are contained within the site collection, including the top-level site
and its subsites, and checks to see if the SPWeb.CustomUploadPage property is not equal to blank. If true, then it sets the SPWeb.CustomUploadPage property to blank.

Issue in data migration of PO contract (Updating table A215)

Hi All,
I doing data migration for PO contract throught BDC, I wanted to update the table A215,
I can't see the field of A215 on PO contract transaction screen (i.e. Transaction ME33K ).
Can anybody tell me how to load the data in A215 thorugh BDC.

How is this A215 table maintained manually? Thru ME33K or a different transaction like MEK1?
you are saying you do BDC, are yoou using a SAP given report or did you record the maintenance transaction yourself in SHDB?

Issue during Equipment Number through IE01

Hi,
When we create an Equipment Number through IE01, then An Asset number is also created with that...
Now issue is that automatically created Asset Number Description, is picking as Company Code number... How can we change the Asset Number Description during Equipment Number generation...
We don't want change description after Asset number generated through AS02...

Assignment of SHTXT(PM) to TXT50(AA) is also OK. However please check that the setting Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data is set to synchronised or not.

Assign Master Data Fields of Assets and Equipment
Use
In this IMG activity, you assign fields from Asset Accounting (FI-AA) to fields in Plant Maintenance (PM) for the synchronization of asset and equipment master data.
If you made appropriate settings in the Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data IMG activity, then for example, when you create an asset master record, the system automatically creates an equipment master record, and sychronizes the fields of the equipment master record, based on the field assignments.
On the other hand, the system can also (depending on the settings you make) automatically create an asset master record when you create an equipment master record.
Example
You assign the cost center field of Asset Accounting to the cost center field of Plant Maintenance. When you create an asset, the cost center entered in the asset master record is automatically adopted in the equipment master record, which is created automatically.
Standard settings
SAP provides certain standard assignments for master data fields.
Activities
1. Deactivate assignments that you do not need. You can re-activate them easily at a later point if you need them, without having to set them up again.
2. You can make additional field assignments, by choosing additional fields from Asset Accounting and assigning them to fields in Plant Maintenance. The available Asset Accounting fields are found in the SAAPM1 DDIC structure, while fields for Plant Maintenance are found in the SAAPM2 DDIC structure.
3. Activate the assignments, if you have made new ones.
If you want to make your own, even more specific assignments, you can create an enhancement project for customer exit AAPM0001. Using this project, you can add additional fields to the SAAPM1 and SAAPM2 structures, for which you can then make your assignments.
Notes
The system does not perform a check on the assignments you make. You have to check to ensure that the assignments you make are logical.

Unit of measure issue when PGI done through IDOC

Dear Experts
In my system PGI against outbound delivery is being done through inbound idocs in SAP. In my outbound delivery the sales unit is maintained as CS (Case) and BT (Bottle). The quantity in my delivery is 10 CS and 10 CS for both the line items. When IDOC is getting posted in SAP it has quantity as 10 in field LFIMG of segment E1EDL24 of IDOC type DELVRY07 for both the line items. We are not passing any unit in the field VRKME of segment E1EDL24 of the IDOC. The IDOC gets successfully posted but when I check the PGI document the it shows quantity as 0,417 CS and 0,0833 CS.
1 CS = 24 BT for material 10002616
1 CS = 12 BT for material 10002617
Base UoM for both the materials in the delivery is BT. What SAP is doing is converting the CS quantity in terms of base UoM. I have attached the PGI document and outbound delivery screenshot for reference.
After PGI the outbound delivery line item quantity changes as shown in the attachment.
Please let me know how to resolve this conversion issue so that I pass the same quantity as in my outbound delivery in IDOC and PGI should get posted with any change in quantity in my outbound delivery in terms of base UoM.

I have some information for you instead of solution.
First, Let me repeat my Understanding first,
Material Base UOM is BT.
But, Delivery Unit is CS. that I could see in Delivery Screen shot.
This Conversion will be carried to Delivery. We can see in Delivery item level that information.
Here the point that we need to remember is, Once the Delivery is created, the UOM will be carries down to Delivery tables ( LIKP, LIPS ). That means, For further Transactions, System uses the UOM which is carried down to the delivery.
So, During PGI, Delivery already with UOM CS, So, System posted the PGI in same UOM. But, When it comes to display, in your above screen shot, you can see both UOMs. i.e., UOM and Base UOM.
We have two lines here.
0.417 Qty and UOM as CS - First line - Because, your delivery is already in CS UOM.
10 Qty of Base UOM as BT - Second line - This is the conversion happened for PGI.
As of now, I do not see any issues with your delivery. It created UOM as CS. And, Posted UOM as CS.
I really do not understand the conversion issue that you have mentioned above. Now, Can you tell about your issue again.
For resolution, you need to run the fresh scenario again.

Error Message during Data Migration.

I have to migrate data for opportunity. I read the data and passed it to "BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CREATEMULTI". This FM returns a message i.e. "A log has been generated for single document". When i am passing the GUID to FM "BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_SAVE" it is giving an error message i.e. "The document could not be saved".
I am not able to find why it is not saving that GUID. if anyone has any idea or if you the sample code then please reply.

Lost ratings during data migration to new mac

I recently bought the new macbook pro and had the applestore migrate my entire data to from my old macbook. Absolutely everything worked out fine except that I lost all ratings in Lightroom version 2. As I have around 15,000 pics and most of them rated I am a bit desperate. Lucky enough I still have my old macbook working and also have a back up where the ratings are still showing. How can I combine the old ratings with the ratings of my new catalog, as I have already rated more pics on my new mac. Thanks

WM DATA MIGRATION THROUGH LSMW

I am Rahul Here.
In a roll out project we want to migrate all the WM data from Server 1 to Server 2.
can someone tell me what all the things are required to be done?
What should be the process?
The process as per my knowledge
1. Download from existing server1 in a format (What that format should be?)
2. Uploade the files to the new system in the same format.
Please comment. Urgent please.

Is it just WM that moves, the entire SAP system?
As the material master views will go with the rest of the material master.
So there is no extra/additional work.

Sales based data migration through LSMW BAPI (BUS1505) change

Hi Everyone,
keep getting this error message while trying to load sales based scenario.
there is neither no term category in the sales rules's structure nor it is in reporting rule's structure.

That is hilarious I know that feeling.
Not sure why you are getting this error but try following -
1. Make sure your file does not have data in cells which you don't use.
2. Structures which you do not want to pass any values in, do not pass those structures at all. Means if you wish to change only business partner then user only 1 structure and one header record for identifying the contract that is it. Do not pass any other structure not even blank in the file.
3. Make sure in source to target mapping you have made correct assignment if by mistake you have made incorrect assignment you will get bad data.
4. When you read your data execute step display read data and review where you see 1410.
5. Similarly when you execute Convert step in LSMW execute display converted data and you will see if 1410 was populated.
last step if none of the above works ) Display the conversion program and put a debug point at this particulat field and see from where this value is being passed. This is no standard error so it has to be your LSMW/Input file.
