CP1025nw won't print wirelessly; two copies of printer appear in the network!
My two Macs running Mountain Lion (10.8) won't print wirelessly to the HP CP1025nw. HP Setup Assistant can't find the printer after it's set up wirelessly. The computers see the printer wirelessly when I try to add it, but there are TWO copies of the printer, and they won't print. Sometimes they seem to think the printer is already in use, possibly because there are two copies.
The printer prints fine through USB, though.
Same issue here, the CP1025nw can't print multiple copies UNLESS the user is a local administrator; which in this domain environment is not allowed. So another solution must be found.
The common answer is to adjust the "mopier mode" however this driver does NOT allow for that to be changed. The universal drivers typically do have the mopier setting but I could not find any compatible colour universal 64bit drivers that would work with the CP1025nw.
Even tried finding something in group policy and/or printer permissions, still no luck.

Changed wireless providers, now Wireless Printer is off the network
I recently switched wirless providers and the printer dropped off the network. I don't see a way through the printer itself to establish a new connection, and I can't connect it to my mackbook air through a USB and have any luck either. I reinstalled the disc and as soon as I select the option for a wireless printer in the setup, an "unexpected error" quits the process and I'm back to square one. How do I get the printer back on my new network? Thanks!
I appreciate the reply and understand needing every bit of information possible to increase the likelihood of a detailed answer. Going through everything I need to provide, however, will take me some time to find all the answers.
Is there just a short and simple way to reconnect a wireless printer to a new network? If it doesn't work, I understand it was a simple attempt and I'll get all the additional information like the kind of network, etc., but don't know all of that right now. It would seem reasonable that HP had a way to reconnect a wireless printer if you got a new network (or switched providers, etc.).

How do I get my HP CM1415fmw printer to retain the network login information
A post on this forum suggested there might be a firmware update that would enable the printer to retain the network login information. Will that work, and if so, how would I do it? My current firmware version is 3/2011.

Cp1025nw won't print cleaning page
Following the directions on website, I can get this printer to print a cleaning page in xp but the device icon is not visible in Windows 7. Is there a way to do it directly on the printer by pressing some buttons or is there another solution? This printer is smearing pretty badly.

Cp1025nw won't print multiple pages
No matter where I set the number of copies to print out, I'm only getting one.
I've found other solutions related to Mopier settings, but I can not find these anywhere for this printer.

Won't print information sheet for network printer
I have accessed my printer on two different computers wirelessly. I need a "printer code" for other devices, which apparently is printed on some "sheet"....which won't print. I get a message that "a web services information sheet will be printed...." but nothing ever comes out (but documents do so I know it works.)
How do I get this information sheet to actually print?Thank you SO much for your quick response! I think it kept dropping the connection intermittently and screwed up the request to "enable" the network printing. (That was on the page where you enter the ip address in a webpage) so when I asked to print that info page, it just lost the request every time.
I did google around a little and reset the router and the printer by replugging in the printer. I also reset some automatic IP stuff to manual setting (I am REALLY not familiar with this kind of thing...can you tell!? ha ha!!!) Anyway, I followed the instructions for a different printer (with a similar connection issue) here on the hp site...the DNS thing seemed to make the difference:

Envy 7640 won't print anything except the print quality diagnostic
I'm trying to get a new Envy 7640 installed and working from my desktop running XP SP3. I have it wirelessly connected to my home network and all machines can see the printer. If I launch the HP Printer Assistant and print the quality diagnostic page, it works fine. If I try and print a test page from Windows (or print anything else), it spools for a couple seconds, then the print job disappears. My wireless laptop (MacBook Pro) can print just fine.
I've already tried the following:
Reboot the computer
Power cycle the printer
Uninstall/reinstall the print driver in Windows
Connect the printer directly to the desktop via a USB cable (same result as trying to use it networked)
Restarted the print spooler service
Disabled print spooling for the printer via the Advanced tab of the Printer Properties
Manually created my own TCP/IP port and configured the printer to use it
I'm at my wit's end here. What else can I try? Has anyone else experienced something like this?The difference is a Windows print job goes through the spooler, and the situation you are describing, sounds very much like the spooler is corruppted or not working.

Photosmart C4795 won't print (most of the time)
I have a Photosmart C4795 installed on two computers, one with XP, the other Vista. The installation(with the Vista computer) went smoothly, along with all tests and some documents of my own, and on the XP one. After a few months it started giving me a "paper not found issue". I discovered I needed to push hard enough to get the paper in far enough, but not too far. Now (on the XP computer) it says its printing, pulls in the paper and then sits until I get an error message on my computer. I went through all the guided solutions and none worked. The XP computer is an HP Mini 1000, and updating HP doesn't change anything.

View Solution.I managed to get it working by sending the document a second time, then cancelling the errored print job on my computer, and after it was cancelled on the computer cancelling on the printer. The moment the paper ejected I placed it on the paper tray at a point an inch away from where I was told to in the animations. Then it started on the second print job and worked (it stopped because I only had one page, but resumed when I placed the paper at the same spot and pushed OK.) If the whole problem was in fact where I was placing the paper I wish the animations would show proper positioning.

I cannot print any email or web pages over a wireless home network. I know that I can print my files over this network, just not anything from the web or emails using Firefox. I am using Windows 7 and printing to an Epson.

Can I use a USB Lead to connect PC with my Printer instead of the network connection?
I have recently moved my BT home Hub (wireless modem) from my study where it sat beside my printer, into the living room downstairs. So that it’s A, nearest to the BT access point (less loss) and B, it can connect directly to my TV, Blu-ray & BT Vision box. I have used a pair of Powerline adaptors to connect the home hub back to my HP PC and it’s all working very well with a faster broadband speed reaching my PC.
The only problem I now have is with my printer, which connects wirelessly to the home hub.
The printer is now right on the edge of the wireless range and really struggles to make a connection, sometimes failing altogether. The printer takes a long while to start up and sometimes fails to collect all of the data.
My real question is:
Can I simply connect my PC to the printer using a USB cable (USB A to USB B) and if I do, do I need to make any other changes to the way my PC connects with the printer?

Here's something you might try first before you do the download. You can leave the current drivers installed ( might come in handy if you decide to reconnect to the network ). Click on your Start button, and then select All Programs. Scroll down to the HP folder and open it. Then open the folder for the Photosmart 6510. Select Printer Setup and Software. You can go through the installation process as you did before, but this time you will choose usb connection.
