Cp3505 print on both sides

Is there an add-on to allow the color laserjet CP3505n to print on both sides?
Thanks.

Hi nova23,
I just checked the user manual for your printer:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00909731.pdf
According to the user manual, duplex printing (2 sided printing) is only available on HP Color LaserJet CP3505dn and CP3505x printers. Since yours is a CP3505n, it does not support duplex printing.
Also, for future reference, your printer is a commercial printer. By posting in the forum for HP Business Support you'd have a better chance at finding a solution.
Here is the link to the Commercial Laserjet board:

  • HP Color Laserjet 2550n has no more printing on both sides

    In 2005, I bought an HP Color Laserjet 2550n to go with my laptop.  I had no printer problems.  I loved the feature where I could print a document on both sides of the paper.  The option would show up on the properties menu on the print document dialog window.
    Over the past summer, I lost my laptop to a crash and had to get a new laptop using Windows Vista OS.  I hooked up the printer using the USB port and all seemed good until I tried to print on both sides.  In the properties menu of the printing dialog box, the option has disappeared completely!  I tried updating the drivers - didn't fix it.  I tried reinstalling the software that came with the printer, but Windows Vista OS wouldn't accept it.  Help!  I don't know what else to do.  I appreciate any help.
    I have also tried Bob_Headrick's advice on Vista Duplex Printing Troubleshooting Guide for "No option for two-sided printing."  The option appeared in the properties menu, but the printer still did not print properly.

    Sorry guys................I answered my own question.
    I went into the HP P2015 user guide & found the answer. on page 32.
    I went into printer properties, device settings, noticed that duplex unit for printing on both sides was showing as "not installed". I changed this to "installed", and it worked.

  • How do I print to both sides of paper for greeting card on Brother Printer

    I did not find the answer on the forum. I have iLife 09 and this Brother MFC-790CW printer. I do not see any automatic setting for printing on both sides. I am using a iPhoto greeting card template and it looks OK with a page one for the front and a page two for the back.
    Maybe the only way is to print out all the fronts pages (20) and then put the paper back in and print all the pages 2 (the text inside of the card). That seems like it would be faster than other ways, except automatic.
    Obviously I should have done this a month ago and sent the project to Apple, but now I have no more time. Ii have the right paper for the one fold cards and plenty of ink

    You need to have an image editor that supports layers. If you do follow the directions in these tutorials:
    #8 - Printing a iPhoto Greeting Card
    #8a - Printing a iPhoto Greeting Card to Standard Stock Sizes
    Here are some editors that support layers:
    Some Image Editors that support layers:
    Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac - $79
    GraphicConverter - $45
    Rainbow Painter - $30
    Acorn - $50
    Pixelmator - $60
    Seashore - Free
    Portraits and Prints - Free
    GIMP for Mac - Free
    You might be able to use Pages instead of an image editor.

  • How to print on both sides of paper

    I have HP 3050A wireless printer. How to print on both sides of paper

    This printer does not do auto duplexing. The only way to print on both sides of the page is to print one side, put the paper back in manually, and then print the next page. If you have something say 10 pages long, you can also print only odd pages, then only even pages tospeed it up.

  • HP Officejet Pro K5400 - will NOT print on both sides

    I recently built a new computer and everything is working great, EXCEPT one thing...when trying to print on both sides using Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, or another program it gives me the error message below.  My previous computer had Windows 7 installed as well and my HP Officejet Pro K5400 had no problems  printing on both sides of the paper.  I tried using the Starter CD that came with my printer, but unfortunately since it wasn't for Windows 7 (only for Windows XP and Windows Vista) it will not install it.  I also went to HP's website to downloaded the latest drivers.  I was able to download them, but it hasn't fixed my problem.   By the way, I do have a duplex unit on my prtiner (in case you're wondering).  I'm not sure if my duplex unit still works, or if it's something else.  If there are any solutions that you can give to fix this problem, I would be very appreciative.  The error message is below:
    Automatic Two-Sided Printing Module Missing
    The document has been configured to print using the Automatic Two-Sided Printing Module but the module is not installed in the device.
    The document will be printed one-sided.

    Hi,
    First remove and re-0attach the duplex accessory at the bak of the printer to enure it is well seated:
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00845167/
    Next ensure the duplex unit is set as installed within the print driver by entering the  Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    Right click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
    Click the Device Settings tab.
    Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.
    Now try printing on both sides and check for any difference.

  • Our HP laserjet , model P2050 , does not print on both sides even though the " auto rotate " box is

    checked.  Is there someway to cause the printer to print on both sides?  ( There is another printer box that  comes up in other  instances and it has a "Preferance" box which , when clicked on, gives a different way to choose  two-sided printing, and that one works to cause the printer to do as wanted.)
    The  box that shows " auto rotate' doesn't have a print preview.

  • Printing on both sides

    Hi, I have an HP laserjet P2015dn. In the past, to print on both sides all I had to do was check the box in "finishing", and it would print. Now, for the past month or so, when I go to print on both sides, it is telling me it has to be "manually".
    I purchased and installed QuickbooksPro 2011. This printer problem occurred after I installed Quickbooks?? Could this be the problem? I had 2008 version of Quckbooks installed prior, nd never had a problem to print on bothsides. I don't think Quickboks is the problem, but if it isn't than how do I correct to "automatically print on both sides???
    Thanks for your input.

  • HP LaserJet 2420 'Print on both sides (manually)' is missing from the current Windows 7 PCL6

    Dear Support,
    I have a HP LaserJet 2420 printer connected to my home network and I would like to use it from my desktop PC (connected with cable to the network) and from my notebook (connected with wifi to the network). I use Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (EN) on both of them and I installed the current Win7 PCL6 (v5.7.0) driver downloaded from the official HP site.
    I would like to print on both sides, but the 'print on both sides (manually)' option is missing from the 'Finishing' tab of the Printing preferences option.
    If I turn to 'Installed' the 'Duplex Unit (for 2-Sided Printing)' under the 'Device Settings' tab of the Printer properties it doesn't work because this printer doesn't support the automatic print on both sides.
    I don't want it work automatic only manual, but it is still missing. I have never experience it with much simple printer.
    Please help to solve the problem! Thank you!
    And what is the difference between the PCL5 and PCL6 and PostScript drivers?
    Kind regards,

  • How do I get my HP 7520 to stop printing on both sides of the paper?

    I do not know why, but my HP 7520 Printer started printing on both sides of the paper rather than one side.
    How do I reset it to print on only one side

    Hi @Wineroth
    I can help you disable the duplex printing feature. I suggest resetting the printing system to delete all printer presets. I suspect something was saved at some point that is causing the printer to print 2 sided.
    OS X Yosemite: Reset the printing system

  • Printing on both side of the form page front and back

    Hi experts,
                 while developing a purchase order i have come across a requirement to print on both sides of the page on the front side i wont to print the normal calculation and on the back side i have to print the terms and condition of the company what should i do for this please help.i have already created the PO which has to be printed on the front side just i wont how to print even on the back of the PO,Should i create a new window or should i go for a seperate smart form.
    Thanks
    Sumeet Malhotra

    1.  Assign next page of first page to terms and condition page. and assign terms and condition page to next  Page. Goto terms and condition page attributes and uncheck the counter button.
    In Case the printing ends of only in first page then put a command line with condition based on your requirement to trigger the Terms and condition page.
    ex: page1 -> first page
          page2 ->second page
         terms-> terms and condition page.
    assign Page1->terms
        and terms->page2 (Uncheck the counter)
        and page2->terms

  • IMac won't let me print on both sides using my hp D2400 printer

    I just received my iMac and was trying to print on both sides using my hp D2400. But, on the option page, it won't let me choose "Print on both sides". Why? How do I fix it? Thanks!!

    From the HP Support site, have you done the following, as you need to:
    Install or update the HP software with Apple Software Update
    Choose your connection type for steps to install HP software using Apple Software Update.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c03404580&lc=en #N187
    USB connection
    Click the Apple menu ( ), and then click Software Update . Software Update checks for available updates and updates the database that your Mac uses to determine available printer software.
    Click Show Details , select any available software updates, and then click Install .
    NOTE: Install all available updates for best printer performance and functionality.
    Turn on your printer, and then make sure that it has paper in the tray and that it is in a ready state.
    Connect the USB cable to the printer and to the Mac. A print queue is automatically created for your printer. If the Mac already has current software for your printer, the print queue is created in the background.NOTE:If you are prompted to install any additional software for your printer, click Install , and then follow the instructions to complete the installation.
    Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
    Click Print & Scan , and then make sure that your printer is in the list of available devices.If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign ( ) at the bottom of the left pane, click the name of your USB printer, and then click Add .NOTE: Quit and restart any applications that were open before adding the printer to use the updated HP software features.
    Hope this helps

  • Print issue: "Print on both sides..." checkbox not present in V10.1.2 under Win XP SP3

    Since upgrading to Adobe Reader 10.1.2 (wish I never had), my "Print on both sides" option is evidently ON (by default), but I cannot turn it off because the check box to do so is not present in the Print dialog:
    The checkbox should be underneath the "Choose papre source" box, but it's not. Hence the advice in http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/928/cpsid_92870.html is useless. I have done a Control Panel > Programs > Change/repair, still the same problem. Also have tried Adobe Reader > Edit > Preferences > General > uncheck "Enable protected mode at start-up" (suggested in another thread), problem persists. (Re-enabled Protected mode).
    Using Win XP Pro SP3.
    This is a real pain....every print job brings the dreaded "Print on both sides instructions", with wasted paper, prompting each page to print manually, etc.  I have seen this scenario reported by others...Adobe, please fix this!

    Hi Johann,
    You printer driver doesn's support duplex printing, because of which you are not able to see that checkbox.
    You can try the following to disable duplex printing through registry:
    1. Go to : Start-> Run-> type Regedit-> click OK.
    2. It open registry editior. Locate the registry:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\AVGeneral]
    3. Find the existing DWORD value which is named :
    "iDuplexMode"=dword:00000001".
    Set the value either as:
    1 = no duplex
    0 (or key does not exist) = duplex

  • 'Print on both sides of paper' in Adobe Reader 10.1.2 + DFS shares....

    Hello
    After the latest update a new print dialog is available which includes the option to 'Print on both sides of the paper'. Our printer (available via a print server in a Windows domain environment), is capable of printing duplexed copies of documents but is configured to default to not use duplex. When the option to do this from the Adobe Reader print dialog is selected the printer driver overides it and the document is printed normally (not duplexed).
    Is there a way to hide this option? We often need to print duplexed copies of documents but usually set it in the print driver when it is needed. Because the option is being overidden it has the potential to create an enormous amount of wasted paper and toner and will increase our printing costs.
    Also, when V10 was released, trying to open pdf's located in DFS share paths caused the program to hang. The solution was to disable protected mode. I tried enabling protected mode after this update (and previous updates), and restarted the application but instead of hanging, Adobe Reader now displays a message box stating:
    There was an error opening this document. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
    If I disable protected mode and restart Adobe Reader the document can be opened.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi, Shatik
    Thanks for replying.
    The DFS shares are mapped as a network drive. This is done just once using a batch file that uses the persistent switch. No roaming profiles, no username\application data path.
    Since posting this I can now access PDF's, but many of our staff are now unable to scroll through an entire pdf without Adobe Reader hanging. Again, removing the checkmark in the protected mode option allows full scrolling of a pdf.
    Disabling/enabling antivirus real-time scanning makes no difference.
