Cp5.5, system simulation - drop down menu?

Good morning.
I've never really found an elegant way to do this in captivate, but when building a simulation is there an efficient way to build in a drop down menu that learners can use to select from a list of items?
I've tried the quiz question method and that didn't work for me because I had multiple objects on the page that the learner needed to interact with, and I couldn't control which order they'd select them.
Ideas?

I wanted to propose the dropdown widget, but in CP5.5 it is cause of memory leaks (like the combobox widget that is almost the same). That problem seems to be solved in CP6. That was the reason I never blogged about those two widgets. An alternative could be the Listbox widget, but that allows users to select more than one item. If they don't know about that possibility and you define only one variable (you can have more), this wil not be a problem.
