CP5-Slide Notes generate 100's of pages and hose PC

Using CP5 in TCS3.
I created slides notes for my CP project. I clicked Publish and selected Print, and selected an export range of All, Handouts type, and 2 slides per page.
It seems to create a Word document, but I should have 12 pages for 24 slides. Instead I get only 3 and Word locks up. Occasionally, I will just let the Word document sit there and it will display 1 of some outrageous number (it can range from several hundred to several thousand).
Any ideas what would cause this. It worked fine the first few times I generated, but just recently (after an update) it started to act up.

The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.

The free only counts for devices activated after September. So first you need to activate the iPad (go through all the set up stuff), then, using the same Apple ID you used to activate the iPad, go to the App store and search for Pages, etc. When you download them you should see them for free.
Being free is tied to the Apple ID used to activate a device. For example, I bought my iPod in June, so I'd need to pay for the apps, which is why they're not universally free in the app store.
After you activate the iPad it may take a little time for the app store to realize 'yeah, just got a new device, this purchase is free'. I've seen people say they go right in, see it for cost, then go back in a little bit and the apps are now free.

Report9i not generating more then 50852 pages in PDF format

Hi,
I have Oracle Report 9i (9.0.2.3) version with patchset 3.
I am facing problem of generating PDF file which has more than 50K pages.
It is generating if 50,000 page only but if pages more than 50852 then its not generating PDF.
If any one has any idea about it, please let me know.

Thanks for your prompt replay.
Now i have installed Oracle 9i Report version 9.0.4.0.33 and i am still not able to generated PDF file above 55K pages.
I am not going to print this file . report is going to generate this file for future use. My target is generating PDF file about 200K pages. Its my requirement from Client.
Now in Newer version after 55K pages its start again for page 1 and after generating some pages its getting terminated report and nothing generated.
I have checked in cache of report folder its generating file there but not able to complete report.
PLease help me on this

ADE 2.0 does not have functions of divided page and single page- like ADE 1.7?

I have a question for specification between ADE 1.7 and ADE 2.0.
ADE 2.0 does not have icon buttons for "divided two-page" and "single page" like ADE 1.7? Since ADE 1.8 Preview version was temporarily available to download, there has been disappeared such functions....

There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0 (and 2.0.1). Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

Some people have found ADE trying to upgrade automatically.
It appears (not 100% sure) that if you install ADE2.0 as a new install (not as an upgrade) that your 1.7.2 will continue to run.
Probably best to say no if 2.0.x installation asks if you want to migrate your library.

Quiz slide not advance when using question pools and advance answer options?

I am using CP 5.5. I created a small test where I have just 2 question in a question pool. The questions are using the advanced answer options to show some specific feedback. When I insert the questions in to the project using a random question slide, after the user answers where you should be able to press Y or click to move on, I click, but nothing happens. You can't get off the quiz slide. The quiz slides work fine when they are inserted in the project as reqular quiz slides, but not when they are being pulled from a question pool.
Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround? Anyone else run in to this?

I was having the same problem on the last Random Question slide (total 10 RQ slides), and was able to fix it by following the next steps:
Make sure Quiz: Pass or Fail actions are set to Continue for both Passing and Failing actions in the quiz preferences.
Delete the RQ slide not advancing, then duplicate one of the RQ slides working, and assign your question pool to the new slide if different from the original duplicate. This step will make sure you are using a good working RQ slide.
For some reason, my last RQ slide was corrupted and wasn't advancing to the Score slide at the end of the quiz.
I can finally finish this project.

How do I get my page to 100% my facebook page and other web pages are so small I can't see them..

In google chrome you have a wrench at the top that you can click on and scroll down to the percentage you would like your page to be 75% or 100%..my pages are showing up at about 25% to small to see or read, how can I change this to where I have use of my full page..meaning the font on my page bigger?

Ctrl + 0 (zero) resets zoom to default
Ctrl + + zooms in
Ctrl + - zooms out

Firefox does not correctly print - creates empty pages and cuts of content when printing

When trying to print out pages Firefox first prints a lot of empty pages, and then only a part of the content. Example:

When entering "print prview" you can see empty pages.
When printing this page with Internet Explorer all is fine.

Thanks for this hint, but it does not help.
This problem does not appear in Internet Explorer, and it should be reproduceable. At least I thought so, so it would help if others could try to click on the link and try to print. They should have the same troubles.

Firefox 4 was functioning well until two days ago. Browser will not open to my home page and tool bars do not appear. Was able to find toolbar but "back" button does not work. What changed?

Firefox now opens to a blank page and the word Firefox appears in upper left hand corner in orange. It, apparently, contains a drop down menu. I can navigate from here but "back" button does not function in any website. How do I get it back to where it was previous to this change?

You can change this if you don't mind peeking under the covers into Firefox's about:config preferences editor.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste newtab and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.newtab.url preference and enter the desired value:
(i) Page thumbnails (default)
browser.newtab.url = about:newtab
(ii) Blank tab
browser.newtab.url = about:blank
(iii) Built-in Firefox home page
browser.newtab.url = about:home
(iv) Any other page
browser.newtab.url = full URL to the page
Press Ctrl+t to open a new tab and verify that it worked. Fixed?

Shuttle header not generated if on seperate page

I see that the header tag has not been included in the shuttleGroup template, only the shuttleChildGroup template. Since this is using a non-mandatory parameter within the Application Structure file anyway, was their a specific reason for not including it ? Are there any plans to make the shuttle templates consistent ? If I wanted to amend the shuttleGroup template permanently for my JHeadstart installation , rather than updating the template for each new application, how would I go about doing that ?

There was no specific reason for not including this header. I will log an enhancement request to include it in a next release.
If you want to change the shuttleGroup.jut for each new application, you can put the new template in JAGLauncher.jar (using a Zip tool), without any folder path.

Label is not printing in 5 th page and item data appering before the morgin

In script. All pages comming prperly.. but last page the labels are not prining and item data is printing upside the morgin only.. what is the problem?.. All pages its comming properly...except last page..

I agree with Shiva Kumar - most likely there is no such field in it_afpo. A few more suggestions though:
1) Do not post large pieces of code here - if you have a question about a particular SELECT statement, post only that statement and relevant data definitions. No one is going to read your whole program anyway - we have work to do too.
2) Your JOIN is way too big and would be difficult to analyze if anything goes wrong. You might want to start with smaller SELECTs and, when you're sure everything is working correctly, then combine them into one. Also huge JOINT is not necessarily more efficient.
3) You don't have to use aliases "AS a... AS b", etc. Instead, just use the table name, e.g. AFKO... AFPO... .It is much easier to read this way. The aliases are needed only if you're joining the same table more than once. Also they're not limited to one letter either.

Safari is not displaying parts of web pages and will not print pdfs

I am using a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.8.3 and Safari 6.0.3. Web pages are sometimes missing elements. Pdfs often do not display correctly and when I try to print them there is nothing there. This started to happen before upgrading to 10.8.3. Any ideas on how to solve the problem? I do not have this problem when using Firefox.

Back up all data.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

The newest version... 4 will not completely load my home page and goes "milky"..and will not resolve.

Firefox will access..though the screen goes "Milky" at any attempt to browse. Another browser is working..so this is NOT my computer's problem.

In solving at least part of my own problem I've just discovered that in my just upgraded version 4, at least with Yahoo mail, I find that if I initiate printing an email from the orange upper left "Firefox" drop-down, only page 1 prints. HOWEVER, if I click on the "print" button immediately above the message, the entire message prints properly. Some web sites still only print page 1 because there is no other way than the drop down to access a print dialog box.
