Cp5225 Printing with smudges at top of page

We've been having a stuggle of a time with one of our newer machines. (3 or so months old) After running a firmware update for it, the printer frequently puts a smudgy horizontal line across the top of the page. Generally there are 3 or so small vertical marks along the line as well, likely a bit of ink on a roller. The line will sometimes dim, and then re-darken. It generally goes away after cleaning the rollers but comes right back.
We have:
Cleaned the rollers multiple times, the lines always come back after 6-20 pages.
Swapped out the ink cartridge. The lines seemed to get darker afher this.
Done multiple cold resets/reset NVRAM. It was having issues with running out of memory along side this issue previously, so this was done probably 3-4 times while troubelshooting that.
Reinstalled Drivers.
Is there some way I can roll back the Firmware, on this device? (CP 5225) Most of our problems seemed to start when that was installed.

What I know: He's using Adobe Reader X. I do not know if it's the most recent version. The problem only exists with PDFs from our web app; he's not having trouble with other sites or with other PDFs.
I do not have a copy of the PDF; I can't give you the copy I downloaded when I logged into his account because there is proprietary confidential information on it, but everything worked fine for me and he's the only user with this complaint, so I believe it's related to his PC or printer, not to our app or to Adobe per se.
I sent him email asking for more information, but I do not know what printer he's using. I don't even know what version of Windows he's running.
Based on some info from Adobe, I suggested he make sure he's using the most recent version (10.1.2), try 'print as image" to see if that's any more successful, and make sure his printer drivers are up to date.
Given the nature of tech support, if he solves the problem or finds a workaround he's happy with, I may never hear from him again to know. I just wanted to know if this was a known issue and what recommended resolutions for it might be. Having not found anything on the web at large, I figured the Adobe forums would be a good place to ask.

If u concatenate anything with space , your space will be lost.
Give a try for this if your s_matnr-high is initial.
data : c(21) type c.

Concatenate '(19 spaces )to' into C. concatenate C s_matnr-low into wa_header-info SEPARATED BY space.

Please Note i wanted to put spaces at "(19 spaces)to" but posting this message is removing those spaces so have put it in words.you have to take Variable c with first 19spaces and then 'to' as shown.
Here the Variable C is with 21 length for 18 spaces , one space to separate the 18 spaces from 'to' , and then 2 chars for 'to'.

Print Apps won't print with C510a eStation. Prints thin line at top of page.

My C510a eStation printer will not print using the Print Apps. It just prints a thin line at top of page. Everything works fine until I print.
All other print functions work. It prints from computer via WiFi. It prints when I send an email to it. It copies via the Zeen. It just won't print using the Print Apps.
Does anyone else have this problem? What is the solution?
12/23/2010 3:00PM. I just got off the phone with an HP engineer. She said that the eStation is still in the TESTING phase and to call to report problems so they can improve the product. (I would have thought the product would have been fully tested before being released to the public!)
She had me reset the Zeen display by holding down the volume keys while powering up. This erased everything that had been done on the Zeen by me and resulted in no HOME screens, which will have to be set up by me. The only app at the bottom of the blank home page was Yahoo!. Even the printer app was missing. I had to move it from the app tray to the home page. Now, I have to spend hours, again, setting up the Zeen.
After the reset, the printer apps seem to work now. The Zeen will copy using the printer app. My computer still seems able to print and scan to/from the eStation.
The eStation C510a eStation printer and Zeen display are very exciting. However, they are not for someone not willing to spend the time to get it to work properly. If you have a cell phone, be prepared to use up a lot of minutes while on support.
The HP engineer said that it will soon have a new release of Android operating on the Zeen which will allow it to be faster.

I have decided to return this printer to the store as it just has too many problems. HP has essentially told me they will not issue updates to solve the problems. I hate this, as I really loved the product.

How to adjust margins to print with Adobe Acrobat pdf web page?

when I print to PDF with Acrobat or with the printer margins and the information in the top and bottom defaults (URL, page number ...) do not satisfy me. the possibility exists of being able to reset? How? do you have any suggestions?

I would define how to position Title, URL, number of page and date also margin left, right, top and bottom. This element in other browser Mozzilla, Explorer is defined in "Page Preview".
Acrobat don't have possibility to set this parameter..

Firefox 4.0 (final released version) not printing on different computers and printers preview same way prints only url on top of pages

This is happening on different OS's Win 7, Win XP, Win Vista (32 & 64 Bit) OS's and various printers HP, Lexmark that we have at several different sites where we have computers. This happens on locally installed printers (LPT1, USB) and IP networked printers. ALL printer drivers are current and worked correctly under Firefox 3.6.15. Print previews show the correct printers but only shows the URL's on the top of the pages which is all that prints, it even happens on when trying to print pdf's. This is happening on all fifty computers that we have that have been upgraded to ver 4.0 from ver Firefox 3.6.15. Updates made within FF update tool. Same thing happens with all add-ons disabled on all computers. Read all knowledge base items on printing problems none helpful. Obviously, something is not working right. Any suggestions?

Is there anyone who might be able to offer some suggestions on this issue, please?

Printing with Gray background on entire page every time I print through Elements 12

Every time I print a photo in photoshop, a gray background appears on the entire page of the printed paper (except for 1/4th of an inch margin on all sides.) This does not happen when printing from iPhoto so I assume it is a preference in photoshop or in my driver/printer settings? I am set up for sublimation printing and with an ICC profile from Conde Systems. I work in RGB mode and use the specific color profile downloaded by Conde.
I have a feeling that when I set up my settings, I somewhere marked the "hard settings" or "default" background color to print in WHITE…which is somehow translating to gray when I print (this is just a guess.) I am thinking that a setting of mine is off yet I have no idea where to change it. If I open a new doc, specify that I want the background transparent, it will print without the gray box! However, if I open an image and simply hit "print" - the entire page is gray - which is wasting tons of ink. Creating the new doc and placing the image on that doc and then printing it is a fine temporary solution to the problem but it is not conducive to my business. Anyone with any knowledge on this situation would be a lifesaver. Happy to provide any additional details needed!!!

Check print with remittance on top

I have been working with the ap check template download from Oracle. It works well, except I need to change the layout to fit our check stock.
We use a z-fold stock with the check in the middle and the remittance info on top.
How can I change the template to work with our check stock?

As far as I know there is no sample template for Checks. All sample templates can either be found with the Desktop Install or from the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility (templates tab).

Assuming that you are using a table for the structure of your check layout then put the for-each: G_CHECKS / end for-each outside of the table. If you have issues with positioning you can hide the tags (Font / Format / Hidden).

Scroll Bar in ALV Top Of Page

Hi Ppl,
I am using REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE to display top of page in ALV. The issue is i want to restrict the top-of-page height.
As of now if i have 10 lines to print...the top-of-page comes with 10 lines in display.
But i want some (say 4 or 5) to be visible with scroolbar and rest can be viewed by use of the scroll--bar movement!!
Any soln?? Please reply

Hi guys..I having some problems with TOP OF PAGE for REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY
The results are displaying correctly but when I'm trying to print out at TOP OF PAGE subroutine/

You need software installed on your computer to use all the advanced features of the printer.
Select your printer HP Officejet 4500 All-in-One Printer Series
Drivers control hardware connected to the computer (wired or wireless)
Software controls the programs that interact with the User
General Installation Instructions
Open HP Drivers & Downloads
Enter your Printer Model information
Select your Printer from the “Results” list
Enter your Operating System in the Drop-down menu
Click NEXT and Scroll down
Look for category Driver - Product Installation Software
Select the Basic Driver, e-print, or Full Feature Software
Save the *.exe installation package(s) on your computer
The file(s) will likely save to the "Downloads “folder.
Next:
If available, you may wish to download the Print and Scan Doctor and / or other programs from Category – Utilities
HINT:
Install the Utilities / Tools first; the little installation packages are smaller in size

Document size error when printing with Acrobat XI Standard

Hello,
I seem to be having a problem when I try to print to my Colorwave 600 plotter, using Acrobat XI Standard. I am trying to print a 36" wide document, but for some reason when the printer receives the information, it thinks I'm asking for a 42" wide print. The biggest paper the colorwave can use is 36", so this is problematic.
The sheet size in Acrobat is set correctly. The problem is only when the printer receives the information.
If I select "print as image" in advanced settings, it prints. I'm just confused why this would happen, and why printing as an image would work? I would prefer not to print as image as it makes the text in my files jagged.
I have tried wiping my print drivers and reinstalling, but this didn't help. Also, this problem only happens printing from a PC. It works fine if I print from a Mac.
Any advice?

My workaround by using a virtual PDF printer isn't as good as I hoped. If the files generated by printing with flashplayer exceed about 3 pages the temp file generated in /var/spool/cups is so big that it exceeds my partitions size.
The file can get up to more than 1GB. With documents from one or two pages the temp file is about 500MB, the correct pdf gets generated after that and is placed under /var/spool/cups-pdf/<user> and is about 500kb small. The very big temp file get's deleted after that.
Why is this temp file so big and how can I avoid it getting so big?

HP Sprout error when printing with PowerDriver from Sawgrass

HI, i am getting an error when i try to print a project from the Sprout Workplace with the PowerDriver v4 software from Sawgrass. Any info/guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

2:' Top of Page' always goes to Welcome page in IE & links show as blocks

Hi
I created a web page for our church and added a navigation bar at the bottom of each page.
This NavBar works fine
Using the same method, I added 'top of page' links on the longer pages and these work fine on my mac, and on other macs, and on my work PC in Firefox.
But when i check with Explorer , every 'top of page' link takes me back to the Welcome Page. I've relinked them at home, even made new text boxes and relinked them, but it never changes.
I've even refreshed the Explorer page, but still I return to Welcome, from all of the different 'top of page' links.
Any ideas how to fix this?

And the main culprits that I've noticed are the Stained Glass and First Church pages.

Thank you for telling me this. It makes me feel better knowing that they work after all.
Related to my other problem, I was asked what version of IE I was using on the pc, and it's probably an older one, so that could be the problem, too, or it has some sort of a kink in its system.

How to print the top of page part along with the ALV list and generate PDF

HI all,
         I have created one ALV by using oops concept .
         and also am able to get the top of page where I have One standard logo on the right hand side
         and some details on the left side .
           Now my requirement is to while printing the list the logo and other top of page details should appear
           In the PDF output but currently while am pressing the print preview button only the alv data is coming
          am already using the method
    handle_top_of_page
      FOR EVENT print_top_of_page
             OF cl_gui_alv_grid,
may be am missing something ... How to get the top of page along with the logo printed ?

Hi Surya,
After generating the grid display click on print button,
a spool number is generated. capture the spool number and convert it to pdf using the fm:
CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF and save the file
