CP7 Shared Actions Help needed

Hi folks.
Looking for some help with something I'm trying to do with the new cool Shared Actions.
First of all here is the Set up!
What i am trying to achieve is to test if a person has followed a decision tree correctly.
The tree will take them eventually to one of 3 possible outcomes and each person who follows the tree will be looking at a unique set of circumstances so I can't say for any of the individual choices on the tree if it is correct or wrong.
Each choice they make is set up as a slide with a yes or no button.
As they click yes or no I am taking them to the appropriate next decision on the tree.
At some point they will reach a 'final' slide that tells them they should be ready to choose between the 3 possible outcomes. 'Create' 'Keep' or 'Dismiss' and offers those choices.
I actually built 3 identical versions of this slide. I built them as MC questions so that for each of the options I can have a right answer that I can feed back to my LMS to tell me that the learner has made the correct decision.I made sure that the quiz is Branch Aware so as the user will only be presented with one question (based on the choices they took on the tree) they will either score 100% or 0%.
I managed to do all this successfully using advanced actions.
For each button that took me to the 'final question' slide I had to write a specific advanced action that moved a feedback message to a message variable (using an assign) and then jumped to the appropriate final question slide.
The problem for this is that it is a specific advanced action for each slide that could take them to the final slide. And there are several in this project. and i will need to do the same thing for maybe a dozen other projects.
So I tried to set these up as advanced actions.
I had hoped to be able to have the variable and the target page as parameters.
But what I cannot seem to do is have the variable as one of the parameters.
Have I missed something about Shared Actions or is this a limitation.
Or can someone think of a better way to achieve what I'm aiming for.

And we also need to be able to execute Advanced Actions and Conditional Advanced Actions from within other Advanced Actions or Conditional Advanced Actions. That would give us something similar to programming functions in normal code. But it would potentially create all manner if issues with endless loops. So Cp will need some way of detecting unsafe conditions that could break the published output. Something it's never been very good at doing in the past.

My requirement is in dynamic Action I need to delimit all records in a Subtype of an Infotype and create New record for these records with BEGDA as ENDDA + 1 of the delimited records.
Iam able to delimit all records in the Subtype but , Iam not able to create new records.

Time constraint for this custom infotype is 2.
It is not allowing to create a new subtype record if 1 exists.
Here scenerio is
Each Subtype ,ie, Subtp 2 ad 3 has got 4 records each with distinct OBJPS field.
when STATS field of subtype 2 is changed for any 1 record in Subtype 2, corresponding record in Subtype 3 should get delimited .
And, rest of the records of Subtype 3 should get created again with new start date.

CP5 Advanced Action help needed for conditions....

Hi,
I have created my own MultipleChoice (MC) question with 4 answer possabilities whereof 3 are right and 1 is wrong.
As soon as a right/wrong answer is checked an advanced action is performed - checkmark in box shown and "feedback" to answer.
In case of a right answer - the feedback of any previous answer is hidden but the check mark of correct answers stay whereas the wrong answer checkmark is hidden.
An example of the advanced action for one of the three right answers:
This is what the question looks like before the answer of my question needs to be implemented:
Now to my question:
At the end of the answers I would like the user to get a message: CONGRATULATIONS.....
This should be displayed when all 3 right answers have been selected.
After that CONGRAT... message they can then click the Continue button to continue the training.
I am curious to any suggestion on how to realise this

OPTION A:
Steps to achieve congratulations message on the same slide (which is the question) 1. Actions like B_Selected,C_Selected etc. have to be conditional actions instead of standard actions which they are right now.
2. Four variables are to be created from Project->Variables ->Add new. These can be named as a,b,c,d and set to 0(zero) which means the option is not selected 3. In the conditional action B_selected, first condition has to be something like
      If (1 equals 1)
            Show TC_Correct_B
            Show Image_230
            Hide Image_233
            Hide TC_Wrong_A
            Hide TC_Correct_C
            Hide TC_Correct_D
            Assign b = 1
4. In second condition of same action i.e. B_selected, do the following
      If (a equals 0 && b equals 1 && c equals 1 && d equals 1)
            Show TC_Congratulations
All the actions should have these two conditions and if there are actions like B_unselect, then 'Assign b = 0' in such actions.
OPTION B
On the other hand if it's fine to show the congratulations message on next slide, it will be simpler like this 1. Create the four variables a,b,c,d = 0 2. In actions like B_Selected (no need to change them to conditional action), add a statement 'Assign b = 1'
3. In actions like B_unselected, add a statement 'Assign b = 0'
4. On slide exit execute an advanced action which will be a conditional action as follows:
      If (a equals 0 && b equals 1 && c equals 1 && d equals 1)
            Go To Next Slide
      Else
            Jump to Slide __
5. On next slide write congratulations message.

Adobe Captivate Help | Shared actions (Cp 7)

In the Help-document about Shared Actions this described work flow 'To apply the same shared action to multiple objects, group them and then apply the action." seems not to be functional. For a group or for a selection of objects (of the same type) the option 'Execute Shared Action' is grayed out, only a normal action seems to be possible. Is this a bug in the documentation?

Can shared actions reset with drag and drop?

I'm currently creating an interactive module where the learner will need to drag and drop grey squares to the correct area on the screen. If you see my picture below, I have a possible 20 grey squares needing to be dragged and dropped for each terminal that's on the lower right of the screen capture. I've created a shared action that shows different wires moving for each of the 20 grey squares moving from the upper image to the lower right image of the screen. This is painstakingly time consuming, but worth the effect. The problem I have stems from the drag and drop's "reset" button. The "reset" button helps set the grey squares that are my drag sources to their original positions, but it does not reset the shared actions that correspond to the movement of each grey square. Is there any way I can reset not only the drag sources, but also the shared actions associated with the drag sources? Any help is truly appreciated.

Shared Action Problem

I am unable to get the IF part of a Conditional Action to work as a shared action. I have tried several times saving the Conditional Action as a Shared action and putting checks by all Variables and naming them in the shared action, but when I save and look at it, all the IFs are locked in.
See how the IF statements are not changeable, below:
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong, or what I am missing?

Please explain what you mean by how I am showing it as a template. What I did was create a conditional action (that contains many pages) and then clicked on Save as a Shared Action. It then gave me boxes and check marks and I put checks by everything and named things and saved. What was in my screenshot was what I see when I open that shared action.
I'm not sure what you mean by inserting a shared action the normal way. The only way I know to do the shared action is to create the action and save as a shared action. I need help understanding how to create (or insert) the shared actions, I guess.

Help needed with this form in DW

Hi, i have created this form in dreamweaver but ive got this problem.
In the fields above the text field, the client needs to fill in some info such as name, email telephone number etc.
But the problem is when ill get the messages. Only the text from the large text field is there.
What did i do wrong??

Help need to switch Muse site to BC on a allready hosted plan

Hi, i also posted on BC forum...
I have a client that was in a hurry to have his emails accounts before the entire website.
So i went on and bought the email marketing plan (cos he will also need to do email campains) an pointed his domain everything is working fine, at this moment he has his accounts the domain is live.
The site would be just a small 7-10 pages not to complicated.
Has a graphic designer (who has venture into Business catalyst cos it had all the solutions i needed, well that's what the promotional videos said anyway) I made a site in Muse.
First i did a temporary page thats says "comming soon", and then i made the entire site, all the design and menu but with blank pages cos the client didnt have all the content yet (and still dont have). I uploaded that site to a sub directory so he could see the evolution.
He approved the design, yay!
At the end of the process, he told me he needed to have full control with the editor. (style, images, bulleted list, need to put downloadable document like pdf etc.) i told him that he could only modify what was allready there with the Muse in Browser editing (that he saw when i made the pitch using another site) he was impress with the way it worked.
so i told him i would have to remake "template".
I thought of using a BC template, and modify the looks to adapt to my client image, Of course, use a responsive theme so he could make the change at one place only. (cos in Muse you need to make the changes on the 3 layouts).
Now, i created a new temporary site using one of the new responsive template available.
How can i import that new site onto his live domain? In other words, how can a switch from a theme made in Muse, to a BC template?
cant i just delete everything in the root folder, and upload the entire new site via ftp?
please help me find the solution. i am a bit in a panic here

Thanks for additional details.
Unfortunately we cannot change site template of a live site in BC , but as a workaround Create a site from BC using the template you wish to use then publish the site from Muse to the site created from BC and transfer the contents stored from live site to trial site. Ater final transition is done , you can delete the already paid site and make live the new trial site which includes new site template.

Help needed to resolve there is no attribute X errors..

On my website http://www.dorffdesign.nl/ there is a problem. Ive put the FB Like button there and it worked fine for a while. But now its gone. So ive run

You can either ignore those errors (since they have no impact on your page's functionality) or you can use DW to convert your page to an HTML5 doctype (File > Convert > HTML 5, and then the errors will go away.

You need a command that tells the button to open something
btnAbal_mc.onRollOut = function() {
getURL("name.xls or what ever", "_blank");
The rollover and rollout are animations and you needed to
tell the buttons to do something. Hope this helped

ODCI : oracle data catridge interface service : what shared libs are needed

Hi,
I am writing aggregate functions. For using ODCI along with OCI in C/C++.. what are the shared libraries which are required : i have oci.h & odci.h files but do not know what shared libraries are needed to use the ODCI interface.
I am getting the error :
ORA-06521: PL/SQL: Error mapping function
ORA-06522: /usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/lib/custagg.so:
undefined symbol: ODCIAggregateInitialize
ORA-28579: network error during callback from external procedure agent
./libagtsh.so: undefined reference to `homtscb_ShutdownCallback'
I don't see any one responding to my queries.
Can any one give me some other paid forums where I can pay some fee and get clarifications for my errors and doubts.
I am a student trying to study the extendibility of databases with user defined aggregates without the need to change the underlying database engine. This is a part of research which i am doing.

But some how i am having problem with ODCI : it is
not identifying the ODCIAggregateInitialize function
It is throwing error : ORA-06521: PL/SQL: Error
mapping function

undefined symbol: ODCIAggregateInitializeThat's a pretty useful error message IMHO
And generally in Unix environment we don't include
'extern "C" ' before each member function in the C
program but we do that in Windows environment . So
may be I thought of just try including that in my
program(unix environment) and it was giving me even
a worse error :
RA-28579: network error during callback from external
procedure agent.So I just removed that extern "C"
keyword.Actually, the extern "C" is required because even though you are writing C-like code, it's C++ since there are declarations in the middle of the code, which C doesn't support (maybe C99 does, I don't know). This tells me you compile using a C++ compiler, which mangles the method name (to support method overloading, which C doesn't support). Adding the extern "C" makes the C++ not mangle the method, and thus the ODCI system can find the entry point in your shared lib.
ORA-28579 is not a worse error, it is the error you should fix. But I can't help you there, I've never done it. OTOH, if you can make this work, I'd be very interested if you could post a complete example demonstrating what you are doing. --DD

I like to add some more pictures by my portfoliomap.
I have now 6 items each page and i like to know if its possible to add some more pictures and how i can do this?

Upload the images to the images folder and use the markup as you have been using in the following, changing the name of the image to suit.

Help needed with header and upload onto business catalyst

Can someone help with a problem over a header please?
I have inserted a rectangle with a jpeg image in background, in the 'header' section, underneath the menu. It comes up fine on most pages when previsualised, going right to the side of the screen, but stops just before the edge on certain pages. I have double checked that I have placed it in the right place in relation to the guides on the page.
That's one problem.
The second problem is that I tried to upload onto business catalyst, which got to 60% and refused to go any further, saying it couldn't find the header picture, giving the title and then u4833-3.fr.png. The picture is in the right folder I have double checked. And it isn't a png. Does it have to be ?
And the third problem is that I got an email following my upload from business catalyst in Swedish. I am living in France.

How can I check the preview in other browsers before I publish a provisional site with BC?
The rectangle width issue happens on certain pages but not others. The Welecom page is fine when the menu is active, also the contact page, but others are slightly too narrow. Changing the menu spacing doesn’t help - I was already on uniform but tried changing to regular and back.
In design mode the rectangle is set to the edge of the browser, that’s 100%browser width right?
Re BC I have about 200 images on 24 different pages and it seems to be having difficulty uploading some of them. But it has managed a couple I named with spaces but not others I named with just one name.
Is there an issue on size of pictures ? If I need to replace is there a quick way to rename and relink or do I have to insert the photos all over again?
I’m a novice with Muse with an ambitious site !

Answering the questions :
- Have you checked the preview in Muse and also in other browsers ?
- Does the rectangle width issue happens when menu is active , or in any specific state , Try to change the menu with uniform spacing and then check.
- In design view the rectangle is set to 100% browser width ?
With publishing :
- Please try to rename the image file and then relink
- If it happens with other images as well , see if all the image names includes strange characters or spaces.
- Try again to publish
With e-mail from BC :
- Under preferences , please check the country selected.
- If you have previously created partner account in BC and selected country and language then it would follow that, please check that.

Help Needed - Even after lodging "Presidential Complaint"

Help needed please!!To make a long story short I have been through nothing but aggravation the past week trying to get my phone working. Service call on 7/6 to install Fios Internet, TV and phone. Internet and TV work fine, but Phone has no dial tone, going on a week and a half now. Tried contacting the account rep who set up my account, her supervisor as well as tech support on numerous occassions.
They set a dispatch for yesterday, and when the tech called me to say he was here, he was at an address i moved out of 4 years ago, in another state.I get a call from someone saying the service request was being closed and I need to call in with the correct address, after telling that rep I would not do that, that Verizon should make the updates based on my TV/Internet records, she hung up on me. Called back into Tech Support and the best they could do was an appointment for tomorrow. I then called the Corporate number and spoke with someone who opened a "Presidential Complaint" and requested an expedited call.. well i have heard nothing since then other than an automated call earlier today sayin my original service request will be kept. Needless to say I'm very upset that after a week and a half I still have no phone service and it doesn't seem like anyone is real willing to help me. I'm sure I'll get billed in full even though one of the 3 services I'm paying for hasn't been working in a week and a half..

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
