CP8 - WebObjects (link to http or pdf file) doesn't work on LMS

Hi,
Integrate an http link or pdf using WebObjects work well in preview. But once exported to scorm and integrated into an LMS, nothing appears.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Are these local files? I had lots of trouble getting the new webobject to work in captivate 8 when inserted with the 'objects' menu.
I had better luck when inserting the old interaction->learning interaction->web object

  • Linking to a particular PDF page doesn't work

I have tried following the instructions in Adobe's Knowledgebase for linking to a particular page in a PDF file, but it is not working for me in IE 7...just a blank page results. Now, if I type out the whole URL and submit it via the address bar, THEN it works, but not via a link on another page.
Is there any solution for this?
    Thanks!

My code looks like this (but with brackets): a href="../documents/2006-2008Catalog.pdf#page=91" target="_blank"

  • Getting PDF files doesn't work on Windows 7?

    Hi,
I had a working installation of Adobe Output Central v5.5 on a Windows 2000 machine. I then tried to move it to Windows 7 because we want to change the hardare.
I set up all programs to run as Windows 2000 under windows 7 (this is something you can decide with the standard functionalities of Windows 7) and all works, BUT, if I try to generate a PDF document I get the famous error [Invalid printer type (98)].
I use the -asppdf command line parameter to force PDF output and the PDF presentment target is compiled into the MDF file.
98 is the number that you can read in the "Printer Type" parameter in the pdf.ics file.
If I comment out that line in the ICS file, the PDF file is produced, but it's corrupted, so it's not readable with any PDF reader.
    Any idea?
    Manyt thanks in advance.

Have you tested an external mouse as I already suggested?
You can try to install Value Added Package for another Portege series notebook. Just search a little bit on the Toshiba website.
In worst case you have to restore factory settings (preinstalled OS). There should the mouse working properly.

  • Interactive button in PDF file doesn't work with Adobe Reader for Mac nor Acrobat Pro

    Hello!
I've to use a interactive form which has an interactive button that is supposed to send that form by email. If I open that PDF with my iPhone or iPad with the PDF Expert App, it works perfectly, but for any strange reason, when I try to open that same PDF in my Mac with Adobe Reader or Acrobat pro, that button doesn't do anything.
Can this be a configuration error?
    Thanks!

The problem is deeper than that. It's not reader. Now the same form I was creating in LifeCycle Designer ES2 yesterday, with the actions working perfectly, no longer work. None of the actions are working.
Could it be realted to me trying to set the default version compatibility to Adobe 7. It gave me warnings, so I set it back to 9.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • PDF link of type "open a file" won't work from within web-browser

    Hi!
I have a pdf-document in which I have created a link of the type "Open a file" ( in this case it is a word document, but the type of file doesn't matter).  When I click this link directly in Acrobat (Acrobat 9 Standard) it works just as excpected, that is, the document opens in word, after I've confirmed to Acrobat that it's ok to open.
Opening the pdf itself from within a web-browser (IE8) is no problem. The document is opened by the Acrobat plug-in, inside the web-browser, as expected. The "hot-spot" to the link is also there, but when I click on the link, Acrobat (I think it's Acrobat and not the web-browser) asks me if it's ok to "Connect to file://///C:/testdoc.doc". And when I confirm this nothing happens (of course, since there are way too many slashes added after the "File:" beginning of the string.
When I doublecheck the link in Acrobat Standard with the link tool, it look perfectly allright (under "Actions" I find the heading "Open a file" and under that the text "File: C\testdoc.doc").
Anyone know where the problem lies?
    Thanks for any help!

I found mention online that linking to a zipped pdf file will cause the browser to download the PDF to the local user's PC where they can complete and submit the form (the mailto: command button works when the PDF is opened locally rather than within a browser window).  If there is a more "elegant" solution, I would be grateful for your advice.

  • Linking dynamically to a pdf file from Crystal

I have a Crystal report in which I need to embed a link to a .PDF file   I pass the year and zone into the report which I then need to use to dynamically link to the proper .pdf file within Crystal.  I tried adding an OLE object and selecting .PDF but I need this link to be dynamic to attach the correct .pdf, not static.  Is that possible? If yes then could you please let me know how to do it.

Don't think so. If it is it would be in the metadata for the PDF -- ctrl D and select the left most tab. There should be a button for additional data if you want to explore.

  • Standalone PDF file system not working correctly

I have built a website http://greatayton.wikidot.com/ where one PDF Menu file calls up lots of other PDF files.
I now want to use the same menu system to call PDF files on a PC hard disk with the Internet turned off.
I used hyperlinks to link from the PDF Meny to the PDF files.
This works but first calls up Internet Explorer then displays the actual file which makes the operation slow and unweildy.
How do I just get the hyperlinks to call up the PDF files?
    Thanks

  • Interactive pdf with movies/swf files doesn't work in up-to-date Acrobat Reader

Hi, I've a CS6 InDesign doc with movies (MP4's from a URL) and a few swf files. When exporting as an interactive pdf, all the links, movies, swf's work fine in my Acrobat Pro. They work fine on other peoples PC's with Acrobat Pro. But on all my clients PC's with up to date Reader, the movies are playing slow, and the pdf just doesn't work as expected. With links to next page etc not working either. They have up dated their Flash Player too. Still not working well.
Is there a magic fix? Can I re-save this pdf differently so they can experience all the interactive features properly?
I created a similar pdf last year from CS5, but adding in the movies & links on the pdf. Do I have to do this again?
Yours, mostly quite fed uply, Gina !

Is it possible that your client's PC is just a very slow machine? You might consider cutting out some of the interactivity if your PDF is to complex to be handled by less powerful machines.

  • Disappearing PDF file after saving work in Acrobat Pro 9?

I use Acrobat Pro 9 to do markups. Some of the files may be as large as 2,000 pages. At various points, I save my work. Sometimes, however, I save my work, close the program. I come back later and discover that the PDF file that I working seems to have vanished. It's not in Recyle Bin and searching for it, does not bring it up. There isn't even an icon. When this happens, all that remains are aabxxx 's in Recent Places. Sometimes if I am lucky, I can somehow generate another PDF file. Sometimes not.
I know that it is possible I could strike the wrong key and not save my work. But this has happened often where that something else be the reason.. I have looked for solutions to this problem in the past and have not been able to find any.  I currently am using Windows 7 with IE9
    Any ideas? Thanks.

Thank you for your help and suggestions. I put in the browser info, but I wasn't sure if that would be helpful. I have a lot of problems with IE9 and using Microsoft Word and Excel.. MS Office 2010 is 64-bit.  The version of Windows 7 I have is 64-bit. What happened is that I began working for this one publisher, AA9 was the version in use and that was I was instructed to use It was also just before the release of AAX.
Do you think that the 32-bit/64-bit difference is what could be causing the issue?
I put off going to a new version because of the cost and the fact that I wouldn't have time to learn the current version. I have a lot of projects right now and scheduling is tight.

  • JSP referencinc taglib.tld in JAR file doesn't work.

I have some custom tags which work fine under Weblogic 5.1 when I do a
normal deployment of files, including the taglib.tld. However, when I
try to reference the taglib.tld located in a JAR file, then weblogic
throws an error saying that it cannot resolve into a valid tag library.
I am only doing this because I am testing the same site agains both
iPlanet Web Server and Weblogic. iPlanet will only find the taglib.tld
when it is in a JAR file.
Can anyone shed some light on referencing the taglib.tld in a JAR file.
This should work, as it is covered in the JSP 1.1 specification.
FYI - the jar file is in the same location as the JSP which references
it. The URI to the JAR file (in the JSP) is from the root of the site.
              Thanks for any help.

  • Read From Binary File doesn´t work on MCB2400 in LV2009 Embedded ARM

    Hello,
I try to read a Binary File from SD-Card on my MCB2400 Board with LV2009 Embedded for ARM.
But the output is always 0, if I use my VI on the MCB2400. If use the same VI on the PC it works fine with the same binary file.
    The
access to the SD-Card on the MCB2400 works in other cases finde, if I
try to read from a text-file it works without any problems.
Are thre any constraints for the "Read From Binary File"-Node in Embedded in comparison to the same node on PC ?
I have noticed that there is also a problem
with the reading of textfiles. If the sice of the file is about 100Byte
it doesn´t work anymore, too. I can´t understand it, because I read
always just one Byte. And even if the implementation in Labview is so
bad that it allways reads the total file in the ram it sould work. The
MCB2400 has 32MegaByte RAM, so 100Byte or even a few MegaByte should
    work.
But this doesn´t seem to be the Problem for the Binary-Problem. Because even a 50byte Binary-File doesn´t work.
    bye & thanks

    Hello,
    thank you for your Help.
But I just want to read a Binary File, which is build by another program. And this is coded with 8Bit (like a normal Binary File) and not just with 7Bit (ASCII). So the workaround doesn't work in my case.
I posted the Test-VI in my first post (here once again as picture). And it works fine on the PC, but if I try it on my MCB2400 the "Read Form Binary File" Node doesn't work.
And it is also possible to open the Bin file with the "Read Text File" Node and see the cryptic content of the Bin-File. So the Problem seems to be in the "Read Form Binary File" Node.
    bye & thanks again
