Do I need to use an upgrade if I want to buy a CPO from the verizonwireless website?

Yes, when ordering one of the Certified Pre-Owned phones from the website, you would be using an upgrade. However, we have a line-up of Certified Pre-Owned phones that you can purchase outright if, for example, you are not eligible for an upgrade but need a phone.

Console Access to CPO Server in a different time zone: Verifying Security

Hello,
I noticed this on multiple instances, when CPO console in one timezone (example: CST) tries to access a CPO Server in a totally different timezone, the console is not able to login to the CPO Server and I see this error message:
"An error occurred when verifying security for the message"
Is there any known issue with console accessing the CPO server and some handshake happening?

More important than whether their timezones differ is whether their *times* differ.
12:00 in EST = 9:00 in PST as far as everyone (including Windows) is concerned.
If both are showing 12:00 then time sync is the problem, and this would cause authentication handshake issues. NT authentication only allows something like 10 minutes of clock skew. My example here has 180 minutes of clock skew.

Is it possible to have a Cron job in CPO to check every hour to see if a particular workflow is running, if not trigger it by creating a alert, if yes- autokill

We don't want our process to expire and also not to execute twice at once. We have a provisioning wrapper workflow which is triggered one time by an alert and it runs endlessly by creating an alert at the end of each instance triggering another instance of the same unless CPO hangs or goes to stand by mode. Since we belong to service team, we don't have any kind of access to CPO DB or logs, so that possibility is ruled out. Just checking for alternatives.

I Purchased a CPO Apple Iphone4 that died a month later?

I purchased a CPO Iphone 4 for my daughters 13 birthday, on 9/26/14 . Exactly a month later it died. Right after I paid for another month service. I called Verizon Wireless for two days straight and spoken to every department they had. I was told to contact Apple it has a one year replacement and they would replace the phone at no charge to me. I then called Apple who told me there was no 1 year warranty and it will cost me $150 to replace the phone through them. Thats more then I paid for the phone to begin with. Again I contacted Verizon ,I was finally told I had to take it to a verizon wireless store. So I drove 25 miles away to the closest store in Mt Pleasant,TX I was told they can re order me a replacement iphone 4 because its within the 90 day guarentee and it would ship directly to me. I had to give them the old phone. I thought my problem had been resolved but boy was I wrong. The replacement order was placed on 10/28/14 I was told I would receive it on that friday 10/31/14 and it never came. So Yesterday on 11/3/14 I called the store Only to be told that the Automated system cancelled the replacement order that it thought it was fraud? First off how is that even possible? I was told they would Re Order the replacement phone and I would have it today on 11/4/14 They didnt have a tracking number and to call back in an hour and half and they could provide me one. So I called last night and again they didnt have the tracking number. I called again this morning and I am now being told it has not shipped yet they dont know when it will ship or how soon I will have the phone. I was told to call Customer service at 800-922-0204 and ask them why they are not shipping it yet? So again I called customer service,only to be told that the Store has to Initiate the order and have it shipped??? And to now call the store back and ask them why they never placed the order. Like really what kind of company is this, the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing! So again I called the mt pleasant store and asked for a manager. I spoke to the assistant manager Jason who assured me the order was placed, but it has not shipped. He cannot tell me when it is expected to ship or provide me any details or a tracking number until it ships? Why has this been such a long horrible run around? All I want is a working cellphone so I can keep track of my daughter. What a really lame birthday gift this has turned out to be.

Yeah that such they should have replaced it with 90 day warranty. Shipped it to and then you ship the other one back. Not the first huge mess sorry

I created a process that uses 3 steps, all of which happen inside the engine rather than having to span out to a script, so it runs a lot faster.
Technically, it's pseudo-random...
Predefine Output Variable "Random Number" as type "Numeric"
Step 1: Format Date
Format string: fffffff
(that's seven lower-case letters "f")
Original date: [Process.Start Time]
Step 2: Format Date
Format string: ff\0\0\0\0\0
Original date: [Process Start Time]
Step 3: Set Variable
Variable to update: [Process.Variables.Output.Random Number]
New value: ([Workflow.Format Date.Formatted Date]-[Workflow.Format Date (2).Formatted Date])/100000
This returns a basically random number between 0 and 1 (so you can mulitply it by your maximum value) based on the numeric fraction of a second of the start time of the process.

Need information on XPress & CPO Central

I have below doubts on the Xpress and CPO section of SAP Sourcing 7.0:-
1>CPO:- Is CPO Central functioanlity a part of Sourcing installable or I need to buy seprate business object to get the Xcelsius Template for the dashboard. In my SAP Sourcing 7.0 we dont have the Xcelsius Template for CPO Central and dashboard is blank. We do have Xcelsius Template as attachments for Supplier scorecard dashboard and RFx response dashboard.
2>Xpress:- can we use Xpress for spotbuy functionality.
Please provide your view.

The CPO functionality is part of SAP Sourcing and it is kind of splash screen which you can activate by checking the checkmark in an user profile which you want them to be able to see a CPO page. (Show CPO Central).
The pre-requisites are:
1. Create a workbench page which will contain the channels you want to display within the CPO screen. When you create the workbench page do check the CPO Splash Page checkmark or it will not work. If you do not have a workbench page then you will see a blank page even tough you have checked the CPO Page in the user profile.
2. In the workbench page you have created do not forget to put the collaborators in who has to be able to see this specific workbench page. Best practise would be to add groups to the collaborators as it is easy to maintain (e.g. CPO, Purchasing Managers, etc...depending on your requirements). You can create different CPO Pages and by means of the collaborator list in the workbench page display different CPO pages depending on a user group.
When you an user log in, which has CPO page checked in his user profile and is part of the collaborators in a workbench page specifically created as a CPO screen he/she will first see the CPO screen with the reports you have included in the workbench page. They can later on continue to the SAP Sourcing workbench page by selecting SAP Sourcing (normally in the right top part of the screen).
The xCelsius templates are already present for the reports you have mentioned and some others and it is those reports which make use of them you would include in your workbench page configuration.
Xpress - this depends on how you configure it.

Basic questions about CPO

Hello,
I just wondering about Cisco process Orchestrator and I have several questions about this product.
1) How many workflow can run at the same time in Cisco Process Orchestartor ?
2) Can i make the groups in CPO (each group has own settings)?
3) Can i copy policies from my Active Directory to CPO?
4) How long does it take instalation and integration of CPO to a new enviroment?

1) There is no limit currently.
2) If you mean security groups, then yes
3) Depends, how do you do that normally/what's the use case?
4) I can install CPO (if machines already in place) in 10-15 minutes. If you throw target setup and configuration in there, maybe 45 minutes max, again all depends on the deployment

Setting target for the handler in CPO

Hi,
I would like to know how to set the target while invoking a handler at CPO end from CPSC. For testing at CPO end, i usually set the target at start time or as a default target. But i need to select the target based on the user who invokes the process. So how can i set the target for this scenario? My process is a webservice triggered and user trigerred one. There is an option of setting the target of Webservice triggering event's target. But am not able to configure that properly. Could anyone please help how to resolve this?

"Web Service Trigger" will always have the same target (Automation Service), so that will not be particularly helpful to what you are trying to achieve.
I think you may want to approach this a little different.
Suppose process A is the process for which you want to dynamically choose a target, based on how it is invoked (via a Northbound Web Service with some parameters or by a end-user or perhaps on a schedule).
Move most of the functionality of the process A into process B.
Modify process A to call process B.
Add "steps" to process A, before the call to B, to find the target that you want. You can use "Find Target" activity and utilize properties of the trigger to determine the right target. For example, if the name of the target is passed as a parameter to the process or if there by looking up the target in a table variable "username to target".
Call process B and use the target found in "Find Target" activity, instead of the one that process A is running on.
I hope that makes sense.

CPO install is pretty quick, are you trying to do mass installs or something?

Javascript can only see what is actually on the page - this has nothing to do with Apex, it's just what javascript is designed to do.
There are two things you can do:
1 - Add a hidden item to your page and set the application item as its source and then refer to that hidden item instead
2 - Use Ajax to get the value
I'd go with the first one as it's the simplest solution.

Execute perl script from CPO

Is it possible to execute a perl script directly from CPO without using a cgi or soap action, If yes, is there any documentation or model workflows that I can refer to...

Its a prewritten script hosted in a linux box(svc cat server), first we tried to invoke it as a soap request...

this worked but we want to discontinue this approach,
so we tried to host the script as cgi and invoke the cgi directly...
but this is not working, so wanted to see if we can execute the script from CPO either directly by using CLI or by hosting the script in a server

CPO 3.0 login issue...

I installed MS SQL Server 2012 and CPO 3.0 on Win 7.
I did not receive any errors during installation but now I’m getting this error when trying to login using CPO Console…
"Client is unable to finish the security negotiations within the configured timeout...."
Could you point me in the right direction?

Thank you for taking a look at this problem. I'm running CPO in Win 7 VM. I'm running client on the same VM.
According to Services view in Task Manager CPO server is running.
Also Web Console connects just fine.

I want to know,
1. How to get Task waiting for inputs of a user by web service.
2. How to get instance id of a process .
3. What is process start point ID or Name.( which is one of the parameter to start a process by web service ).
4. What is get-output variables by web service.

I agree with Warren -- you should be able to go to design center, but for a customer reference point.... here are some answers.
1. How to get Task waiting for inputs of a user by web service.
[SHAUN]: There is a web service for Task @ http://<CPO HOST>:<Web Service Port>/WS/TASK?WSDL which has Create/Update/View methods. I have not used it before so I'm not sure the exacts. Look to the NorthBound Web Service guide for help. It's on cisco.com in the documentation area for CPO.
2. How to get instance id of a process .
[SHAUN]: There is an exposed property if you are looking in the process itself. When you start a process via Web Services, you get the ID as an output. What are you trying to accomplish? Again look to the NBWS guide.
3. What is process start point ID or Name.( which is one of the parameter to start a process by web service ).

If you configured a start point in your process, then you can send that in a web call, otherwise remove it as it would be optional.
4. What is get-output variables by web service.
[SHAUN]: If you use the processinstance wsdl (or http://<CPO HOSTNAME>:<WS PORT>/WS/ProcessInstance?WSDL there is a "GetOutputVariablesFor<PROCESS_NAME>" that you can use to get the output of variables once the process is complete.
