CProjects 3.1 - 'Messages' text box in Staffing Process tab

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the relevance of the 'Messages' textbox in the 'Staffing Process' tab of cProjects 3.1? We are planning to use it, but are not getting any function module/ table logic to read the text stored in it.

Gmail message text box does not show up when I click on message to read it. Text will appear quoted if I click in Reply box.

When I open Gmail, I get the usual list of messages. When I click on a message to read it, everything appears as usual except the box with the message text in it. To see that text, I have to click in the Reply box, and then I'll see the original message text quoted.
This is true on three different Gmail accounts. I've not changed any Gmail settings. I have enabled and disabled various extensions and User Styles that affect Gmail, and turned off Greasemonkey, without effect.
Yesterday I did update Java 7 update 10, but Gmail was still working after that. I did install several new extensions at that time, but I tried disabling them and restarting, and the problem persisted.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Using Rich Text Formatting Tools for Email Message Text Box in Webdynpro.

Hi All,
I would like to know whether WebDynpro provides a feature of including the Rich Text Formatting Tools (like Font, FontSize, Spell check .....) inside a Text Box.
I need to allow the user to format/indent text inside the Email message box, before sending the Email.
Is ABAP/Java Webdynpro providing us the above feature currently?

Skype message / text box disappears / does not show in Mac Yosemite version

After making a call the text box disappears. No amount of scrolling or clicking makes it appear again. I saw a reply from a Skype employee three weeks ago saying the development team is aware of it and is working on a fix. But it still keeps on happening over and over. Only way I've found to fix it (as have other community members) is to restart the program.

Having the same issue, it would be nice to have this fixed ASAP.

Lose focus when tabbing out of autoSubmit text box in IE

Using JDEV 11.1.1.4 I have a problem with tabbing from one textbox to another textbox in IE. Both text boxes have autoSubmit=true and to reproduce the problem it's like so:
I type a value or edit the existing one into text box 1 and press Tab. The submit is done and focus is given to the second text box but only momentarily before it loses focus. The focus then is given to the window it would appear, because if I press Tab again it begins from the top of the page. This is only happening in IE (v8 is all I have tried so far). This ONLY happens when the value of the second box is null. If it has a value all works fine.
I tried implementing various solutions including using the ExtendedRenderKitService to write javascript to the client from the bean to set focus on the text box after the partial render. The javascript is called and focus is set but then something else calls blur on it afterwards. I have verified this by putting a blur event listener on it and it gets called after I set focus on it from my own javascript!
Has anyone experienced something similar? Just to note: It only happens in IE, and it only happens when the second text box is empty.

1). Tried on 11.1.1.6 to see if the issue is still there?Not really an option to try and upgrade and test if it works there.
2). Made a simple test case removing as many variables as possible (e.g. do a simple screen with no DB interaction and only two fields) to see if it reproduces or it's something with your screen?Tried this an it works fine which means it is something unique to my code.
3). Filed an SR at https://support.oracle.com with your test case
As above it looks like it's not a problem with ADF so I will keep looking at it.

Blinking cursor in text box by hitting tab

I have an input text on stage. Normally when we want to type
something in the text box we have to click the mouse in the text
box. If I want the blinking cursor to appear in text box by just
hitting tab button on keyboard, could it be done ?

Joel, I am not sure what you mean by starting a new thread. The new material I placed in a new text box on a new page is less than a page wide and does not fill the text box.
I file > placed the text and it came from Word. I did not copy and paste it.
I do use CS4.
There are no character styles or paragraph styles applied to the text. This is something I will add as the pieces are placed.
The button to which you refer is in the upper right hand corner of my computer and the text to which you referred -- no break is unchecked.
This is not the first time I have had trouble with text disappearing. I usually manage to make an end run and correct the problem in Word and then place the text again. However, whatever method I use is time-consuming, tedious and frustrating.
No matter where I use the enter key in that text frame, text below the enter disappears and the out port then shows a plus (even though the text box is NOT full). If I click on the plus and add the text to a different text box, I get the text that disappeared. But that is not the result I want. If I try to take the text from the out port and put it back into the text box, where it belongs then I get text linked to text--a mess.
There must be a cure for this problem.

I can no longer see the gray "suggested text" boxes when I type an email or text message. How do I restore this function?

Make sure you have "Predictive" turned on (green) in Settings > general > Keyboards.

I keep getting crashes and error messages when trying to use LiveCycle. So far, the most I have been able to is create and name 3 text boxes.

Despite having uninstalled, reinstalled, change compatibility, run as admin and a host of other "fixes", LC keeps crashing, closing out and otherwise failing to operate. At this point the most I have been able to accomplish has been inserting 3 text boxes and then naming them. As soon as I change the caption name on the 3rd box (or sooner) the program stops working and I get the wonderful message from windows telling me, the program has stopped. I needed the extra input from Windows because, you know, when the program crashes I was just thinking it was naptime. 2.5 hours I have spent so far trying to fix this. Someone please help me!!

How to show a field value and a message text in a message box

I have made a message box that shows the value of a text field when a button is clicked. I would like to add some message text to the message box as well, so that my message box will show something like:
You have entered this data: "textField value"
This script works to show the text field value but I cannot figure out how to combine it with an ordinary message box text message. I have tried various combinations of () and “ “ but no luck.

Why is there always the text of an old message in the text box every time I go to write a new message?

For the last three days, when I go to write a new text/iMessage, there is the text of a message I sent recently in the text box. I've tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing seems to work... each time I go to write a new message, there's the same old text again. does anyone know why this is happening - and what I can do to erase it and get back to a good old blank text box? Continuation message in linked text boxes

Can anyone tell me how or if there is a way to insert an automatic comment in a linked text box informing the reader that the article is (i.e.) continued on pg. 2 - or continued from pg. 1. Microsoft Publisher used to have that feature (may still) and it was very useful. I cannot find anything like that in Pages. What am I missing?

You're not missing anything. It simply can't be done in Pages.
I'm not sure if you're referring to a bubble that pops up when you mouse over the text box or some other flag to alert readers. But I think you'd need to manually insert the "continued" text in the text box.

Issue with 'text box' in rtf sub template for peoplesoft XMLP

It works fine when i remove the text box from my sub template. I tried to put the text box directly in the main template and it worked fine !! it is erroring out only when i use the text box in sub template !!

i got the below error when i tried to 'preview' the report from my report definition.

Something like XAE or "K" after PAY Value in the xml tag and continued the text value. (Tag value is not getting copied exactly here - i am sorry for that )

Expanding text box in mail stationary

I am trying to put together a photo newsletter in Mail using the Tack Board template in the stationary. I thought that I would be able to expand the area where the text goes to add more text, but it won't let me type past where the blue box ends. Is this really preset or is there a way to lengthen the box and have more text?
I was assuming this as the little icon at the top when you are choosing stationary looks like its text box is bigger then the one when you open it.

Just be aware that e-mail is a very poor transport mechanism for such things. If any of your recipients don't have Apple Mail, they may not see the message the same way you do.

There is no way to change the template. Those templates are hard-coded with heavy doses of black magic.
I was assuming this as the little icon at the top when you are choosing stationary looks like its text box is bigger then the one when you open it.
Those are just static icons.
