CProjects 4.0 - Resource Search

Having specified the 'Qualification' and 'Minimum Availability', when I do a resource search, I get the list in line with the expected. On this page, few of the columns - Resource Name, Assignment, Suitability etc. have the expected (and right) values. However, such columns as 'Time Available', 'Capacity' and 'Availability' have values zero.
What ooght to be done to get the right values in these columns?
Thanks and Regards...

Hi Reema,
Thanks for the inputs. I did specify the location and availability for an employee in the transaction you specified - RPM_EMPDATA. Havng done this, I see the columns Skills, Location, and Availability checked (ticked right).
But I see no difference at the front end. When I do a resource search, and when this resource appears in the search list, I see values in the columns 'Resource Name', 'Assignment', 'Suitability' etc. but the 'Time Available', 'Capacity' and 'Availablity' columns still read zero.
Anything else that you'd suggest me doing???
Thanks again...

  • CProjects - HR Master resource in cProjects

    Hi All,
The Business Partner (Employee) are the resources used in cProjects.
How do I use the HR Master resources instead? I am able to assign the qualifications to these reosurces but they do no appear in the cProjects front end resource search.
    cProjects 4.0.
    Regards,

    Hi Vivek,
This question did not answer my question but definitely made me think in a direction that helped me resolve the issue to quite an extent. And you get six points!
I am now assignnig qualification for the resource under the 'Business Partner' element under PPPM. And this helps me fetch the resource in resource search based on Qualification.
However, once I staff a role, and then click on the Send email button, I get a message that the email was not sent. Where in the HR master do I specify the email address for the resource. I know where this is done for BP but because we are not using BP, I need to have this done in HR.
Any inputs that you can have for this would be great.
    Thanks

  • Resource Search in cProjects 4.0 not fetching results

    Hi All,
Working on cProjects 4.0, I have specified the qualifications catalog and selected a few items from the catalog for a role. These are the items I have set for the resource (Business Partner). However, when I do a 'Resource Search' at the front end, the system does not throw the list of resource I expect the system to do.
Where could I be going wrong?
    Thanks all...

    Hi Zhenbo,
Thanks for your response. This, however, does not help.
As mentioned, I have defined the qualification catalog and selected the qualifications for the role. The resouce (BP) does have the required qualifications. However, the 'Resource Search' fetches no results.
Do I have to have the resources defined in WFM to be able to fetch? I guess no...
    Do suggest.
    Thanks and Regards...

  • CProjects 4.0 : Correct resource search and incorrect staffing

    Hello to all SAP community!
I am using resource search by qualification in cProjects. The search itself is OK, but when I am trying to staff the project role from resources found, the role is staffed by  N.N.1 resource, not that one that I have chosen.
Does anybody know what is the reason of such collision?

    Hi Kiryl,
I have heard this behaviour recently, there should be a note for it. Would you please search the notes using the the key words. You can also post hotpackage stand of your system, I will then search it.
    Kind regards,
    Zhenbo

  • Authoriization object for resource search in cProjects

Does anybody know which authorization object is required for resource search in cProjects  5.0 ? I need to to grant an access exactly via the user role and authorization object, not via the Authorization bookmark in cProjects.
    Thanks!

    Hello Kiryl,
this is what you can do with Cprojects 4.5:
    cProjects Roles
The following single roles are delivered with cProjects:
    Role Authorization
    SAP_CPR_PROJECT_ADMINISTRATOR Create projects (project definitions).
    SAP_CPR_TEMPLATE_ADMINISTRATOR
Create, change, read, and delete all
    templates in cProjects.
    SAP_CPR_USER
Use cProjects, but no authorization to
perform any activities in a particular project.
To do this users need project-specific
    authorizations, which can be distributed
either directly or through their assignment to
    a role.
This role must be included in every
    cProjects composite role.
The following composite roles are delivered with cProjects:
    Role Authorization
SAP_CPR_DECISON_MAKER cProjects decision maker. Contains the role
    SAP_CPR_USER.
SAP_CPR_INTERESTED cProjects interested party. Contains the role
    SAP_CPR_USER.
SAP_CPR_MEMBER cProjects team member. Contains the role
    SAP_CPR_USER.
SAP_CPR_PROJECT_LEAD cProjects project manager. Contains the role
    SAP_CPR_PROJECT_ADMINISTRATOR
    and SAP_CPR_USER
SAP_CPR_TEMPLATE_RESPONSIBLE cProjects template responsible. Contains the
    roles
    SAP_CPR_TEMPLATE_ADMINISTRATOR
    and SAP_CPR_USER
You can use these SAP standard roles or create your own. For more information see the
solution management content for cProjects under Solutions → mySAP PLM → Configuration
Settings → SAP cProject Suite 4.00 → General Settings → Activating Single Roles for
cProjects and Creating Roles for the Project-Specific Authorization Checks.
In cProjects, you carry out Customizing activities in the SAP Web AS. Only
system administrators, that is, users with the authorization profile SAP_ALL, are
authorized to carry out Customizing for cProjects.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards

  • CProjects 4.0 : Qualification search

    Hi all!
I have faced the problem of the resource search in the cProjects. There are several BPs with the appropriate roles and various qualifications from the qualification catalog. There is no WFD integration and the direct staffing process is used. But when l start the resource search there is no resources found. The latest package (SAPK-40009INCPRXRPM) is applied.
    What should I do, please?

    Hi Reema,
You absolutely right about the setting, but these settings turn on/off  the search functionality itself and nothing more.
In my case my user (user1)has zero result of the search, but if I log in with  another user (user2) - the search returns the result. In SU01 I have changed the the user role, authorization group, permissions etc in order to have the same setting for user1 and user2, but when user1 performs the search he gets just several resources while the user2 gets the full list.
Which additional settings influence on resource search? There is the latest CRPxXRPM  support package implemented.

  • Org structure - cProjects 4.0 - Resource Management

The business scenario I have is such that there are two units of a company. When a resource search is done for Unit ONE, only those resources having the requsite qualifications should figure in the list who belong to Unit ONE. Resources who belong to Unit TWO should not figure in the list even if they have the requiste qualification.
    How do I ascertain this???
How do I maintain the Org Structure. A detailed response would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards...

    Hi,
When you search the resources, put the Org unit as the search criterion along with that of Qualification. This will yield only those resources who are from the specified Org unit.

  • Resource search based on Customer and Project role type

We are using cProjects 3.1 with WFM core and SAP ECC 5.0 We have been able to search for resources (created as Business partners) based on Org Unit, Qualifications and also Availability %.
But while searching in the General tab, if we enter the
Customer/Ordering Party field or Project Role type field, the search yields no results. However if both these fields are blank, the search gives correct results.

    Hi
There is BAdI: DPR_SEARCH which you can use.
You can implement it with custom logic
Talking about PA-PSA based search, Is available using PFAL transaction for BP creation
You need to Map your PA-PSA with Area-location of cProjects

And i found the answer... on the first tab there is a field that says: maximum number of results... and of course this was set to 1.....

  • Resource search with "wrong" Org Structure

    Hello,
    I am using cProjects 4.5.
My org structure is coming from SAP HCM (IDOC HRMD_ABA)
Now i am creating a project with resource-role.
When i want to staff that role with resources i'll use the "resource source" button.
I can search by organisational structure, but here i'll see a part of the structure....not the whole structure i see when i use PPOME.
The dates are right. Which influence this search bij organisational unit?

  • CProjects - RPA - staffing resource within 1 Org. Unit only

    Hi Experts,
We're implementing cProjects with combination planning - staffing with cProjects and RPA (WFM).
In project role type's setting, I choose: 'Staffed by: Resource Manager via Responsible Organization' with expectation that the resp. Staffing Manager within the stated Organization only able to staff resource within the same Organization.
(Staffing Manager from Org. Unit 1001 only able to staff Resource within Organization Unit 1001).
But, apparently it does not work like that. The Staffing Manager can staff all resources from all Org. Unit - as long as the resources have Service Arrangement.
Any one can help me pointing where I go wrong with the customization?
    thank you & regards

  • CProjects 4.0 - Resource Appointment / Calendar

How do I get the calendar for resources ('Appointment' tab under 'Resources' tab)?
This calendar enables me view the calendar of the selected resource (staffed to a project role). What all add on (if any) do I have to incorporated to get going on this?
I am working on cProjects 4.0.

    Hi Bittu,
this functionality is included when your are using the Work Force Management (WFM) as far as I know.
Please have a look at the cProjects configuration guide in the section "Configuration of Groupware Integration".

  • CProjects 4.0 - Project Search

    Hi,
There are quite a few ways we can search for project(s), task(s) etc. from the cProjects front end. We require to extend this. For e.g. the requirement is to have the search by a few more critera. By description, for e.g. Is this possible?
    Summary:
Can we have any more search criteria than the ones available ready made?
    Thanks and Regards

You can extend the search help with the enhancement in the IMG:
You can already search the text in the Project Name, this is standard. Searching the Description should be handled by TREX because of performance otherwise it would be too slow to use in a production environment.
Copied from the IMG, in case you don't have access to a system at the moment:
    "Enhance Search Help"
Use - In this IMG activity you can expand the search help for project definitions, phases, tasks, checklists, or checklist items, so that you can search for fields you defined yourself in customer includes.
    Activities
Create your own new append search help in the following collective search help:
    Object  Collective Search Help
    Project Definition  DPR_PROJECT
Copy one or more than one of the templates to create your elementary search help:
    DPR_CHKLST_H_GROUPING
    DPR_CHKLST_H_T_GROUPING
    DPR_CHKLST_I_GROUPING
    DPR_PHASE_GROUPING
    DPR_PROJECT_GROUPING
