CProjects 4.5: display tasks under project definition in Tasks dashboard

Hello experts,
we have the following problem in cProjects 4.5. We have in our projects some tasks below the project definition. This tasks are not visible at the tasks dashboard, after releasing. We can only see released tasks below from phases in the task dashboard.
Does anybody know this problem and have a solution?
Thanks in advance.

Christian

Hi Matthias,
thanks for this hint.

  • Release all phases and tasks if project definition is released

    Hello,
I have several phases and tasks in a project and when I release the project only the first phase is also released. I am not working with approvals.
Is the a possible to release all phases when the project is released?
Thank you and have a nice weekend,
      Vanessa

    Hi Vanessa,
You can create an implementation of BADI dpr_events, with filter dpr_tv_badi_method = ON_DPO_RELEASED.
ir_sender instance will be the project in that case, so you can easily retrieve the phases object and release them at this moment.

  • CProjects-MS Projects Export - Role-Task assignment...

When I export from cProjects, I have data mismatch from cProjects to MS Project.
A task of 5 days is assigned to 3 roles:
    Role 1 for 2 days
    Role 2 for 1 day
    Role 3 for 2 days.
However, in MS Project, the Role-Task-Assignment gets uniformly distributed across all tasks.
    It shows:
    Role 1: 1.67 days
    Role 2: 1.67 dats
    Role 3: 1.67 days.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Girish,
it might well be that this kind of scenario is not supported by the cProjects MSP interface.
I'd advice to check note 1126395 and what it has to tell about your scenario.

  • CProjects Project Definition Nomenclature

    Hi,
Actually I have a requirement wherein the cProjects naming structure should be based on certain parameters (which will be assigned by the user).
Eg. I am using D-0004 as the Project Definition in cProjects.
D stands for Development Project & 0004  Sequential number.
When I transfer this Project Definition to SAP ECC PS Project, a Project Definition & WBS element has been created as D-0004.
But I am using Hierarchial/Multilevel Controlling based on Project Roles, where the Controlling level has been defined as 4.  In this case the WBS Elements are created for the Project Roles as well with the number same a the role number created in cProjects. Eg. 180000-12. But I would like to have WBS elements created for Project Roles as D-0004-1 & D-0004-1 (through edit function in PS Coding Mask).
Is this possible? through any enhancements.
My Second Question is whether it is possible to restrict the user from choosing the Name of the Project Definition from a selected list of Project ID as we have in SAP PS.
    Thank You,
    Best Regards,
    Joseph

    Hi Joseph!!
For the second question, try using the BAdI: DPR_ATTRIBUTES

  • Using Eclipse project definitions to build the Flex SDK

It would be great if someone from Adobe could post on the recommended usage of the Eclipse project definitions in the development/eclipse/ subdirectory of the 3.0.x trunk distribution. I would like to debug some compiler modifications that I am working on.
I saw Peter Farland demo this setup at 360Flex, but was unable to capture all the details of the Eclipse configuration that he discussed in his talk.
    thanks!

If you go to the framework project’s properties, there is a section called Flex Library Compiler, you want to use a specific flex sdk (add a new sdk which points to the trunk, and use that) — you are probably building /against/ the wrong sdk, right code, wrong compiler.

Try changing the sdk for the framework lib project to trunk (you'll need to add a new flex sdk, name it whatever you want) -- it's in the project properties. It's using the wrong compiler.

    <http://3.3.2.>
http://3.3.2.>  I checked out the whole SDK trunk and can build the main ant task with no errors. I used the instructions mentioned above to create a Flex framework library project and thats where the error comes in. (I had tried to manually build a framework project a few times and it was a nightmare.) I would probably prefer to work on the 3.0.x branch/tag as I hope to submit a patch or two but saw Joe mention that the project defs only existed in the trunk.
Searching Google for the oem error turns up lots of links about projects that had assets deleted and the build got confused but following the instructions on how to fix proved unsuccessful.

I always forget what that error means when it comes up -- though it's been ages since I've seen it last, literally.
Joe: Since you mention Java 1.5, I'm guessing the errors are in the asdoc package? Those should be turned off (read: turned into a warning) -- Eclipse is a little too persnickety about that particular error. There's a preference for this in the Java section under warnings and errors. It's turned off in the trunk dev projects. Otherwise, you should be able to run the compiler directly with no problems (okay, one more caveat: there's a class loader issue with the OEM, fixed in trunk if you look for my Java 1.5 checkin).
Ben: What is your setup? What are you building (Ryan mentions trunk, Joe mentions 30x), which Eclipse, which dev projects, did you build the sdk from the commandline first, etc.?
    Cheers,
    Jono

  • CProject descriptions in Display working time report

    Hi Gurus,
in our system we set the integration with HR, and we tranfer via ALE personnel numbers from R/3 to BP in cProject. We record time with timesheet to wbs linked to cProject tasks.
I have a problem in report CATS_DA "Display working time" with cProject descriptions
In this report, fields CPR_TEXT & CPR_OBJTEXT in the CATSDB_ALV output structure are always blank. I checked table IAOM_CPRO_EXAT in R/3, where cProject description can be found, but it seems that no access to this table is done when executing CATS_DA.
Any idea how to show cproject task and project destription in CATS_DA?
    Thanks in advance
    Roberto

    Hi Roberto,
I think, the description of the project should be retrieved remotely from cProject system.
You can apply the check report in

Just to add some more information, if I go to the controlling cockpit, select the "Definition could not be created" error, and click in the autocheck option the PS project IS correctly created!!!
Do you have any ideas on this or on how can I track down the root error?

  • Restrict Collaboration tab page view at project definition level only

    Hi,
I have a requirement where the cProjects user should be able to view the Collaboration tab page at project definition level only & not at the phase, checklist, checklist item or task level. This is to prevent the user from assigning/creating collaborations at a level other than the project definition.
Is there a way out to get this setting done & how?
    Regards

My proposal is that you modify the logic in
    CL_DPR_BSP_S_PRO_TYPE
    Method SHOW_COLLABORATIONS
a small I condition here can control the tab view hide/unhide feature.
or modify the BSP page and take out the complete call
    in
    phaDetail.bsp
    tskDetail.bsp
    etc.

  • CProjects Planned costs display

Can you display planned costs in cprojects after doing financial integration(Calculated on Role/Task revenue rates) against each phase or task without going into each individual task separately.
Which all options of displaying planned costs are available and how are these configures ?
Is this carried out via the planning mechanism chosen Role-based resource planning or Task Based. If yes, Where do you specify which of the 2 options to choose ?whether you want to choose role based or task based planning.

    Hai Pooja
Costing is carried out in cProjects based on the project roles r tasks.
Reg tasks based cost planning u can assign the required capacity to the individual tasks during the planning of the project structure. This required capacity is multiplied by the cost/revenue rates ti determine the planned costs and planned revenues.
Task is done by a role  - means for example Project Manager specifies which positions are to be filled up - these positions are called in cProjects as Roles(resources for the project). Thye are assigned to the tasks in which the positions are involved.
Check the configuration in - SPRO - cProjects - Connection to external system - Accounting Integration - Integration using Single Object Controlling in SAP R/3 CO - Make General settings

  • Conversion exit for project definition

    Hi
I have created a generic extractor to get some data of table PRPS. The project-definition number in this table is in field PSPHI. When you display the result of the extractor in the extractor checker (RSA3) the correct number (e.g. PG5707) is showing, however, when it comes into BW, it is showing the internal number (e.g. 000002). In BW I use this field to populate 0PROJECT, but due to the internal number being sent, I cant use it.
Can anyone please tell me what conversion exit I can call in my extractor to get the external number?
I also notice in SE16 for this table there is a selection in the user parameters to tick under the "Format" section in the data browser tab. If it is not selected, it shows the internal number, but if selected, the external number is displayed. I want to do this in my extractor.

  • Unable to deploy BPM projects with human tasks from BPC

I’m trying to edit and deploy a BPM process from Business Process Composer (web based tool). To do it, I followed the steps below:
    1.     I created I project in JDeveloper
    2.     I created the Human task from using the “Auto-generate task form” option
    3.     I converted it to a template
    4.     I published it to BPM MDS
    5.     On Business Process Composer I created I new project based on my published template
    6.     And I finally I deployed it with no errors.
When I ran the BPM it creates I human task but I’m not able to access its form on Business Process Workspace.
On Business Process Workspace I can see the task created by my BPM process, but when I click on it to access its form I get a 404 message (message below).
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
I think this error occur because my Task form project was not deployed. To fix it I undeployed all the applications and then I deployed the BPM application with all its tasks forms from JDeveloper. It worked fine (I can actually access the task form on Business Process Workspace), but now I’m not able to edit the BPM process on Business Process Composer anymore.
Then I finally repeated the steps 3 to 6 on top of this post in order to make the BMP process editable on Business Process Workspace but this time I receive the error at the end of this post taken from server log.
No matters if I publish the project on MDS BMP repository as a template project or as non template project. I always have the same problem.
So, how can I use a BPM project that contains Human Tasks forms on Business Process Composer?

I came across the same issue, and now resolved it like this.
Firstly, you shouldn't deploy QuoteProcessLab with other UILabs like ApproveDealUILab and so on. So, if you already did it, then go to Weblogic EM and undeploy it.
Secondly, you should deploy each of UILab separately as standalone application. So, deploy EnterQuiteUILab, BUsinessPracticesUILab, and so on each. These will run independently behind and when your project created based on template in the Composer runs, it will link each of these on human task.
Thirdly, publish you QuoteProcessLab. And follow the book about how to create a project based on template in the Composer.
Just one thing you should be careful with is, when you do auto-generation for human task, it sometimes doesn't work fully, unfinished halfway through. So, make sure that the icon 'go to existing business form taskflow' in .task file takes you to the human taskflow.
If it fails, do another auto-generation. Sometimes DataBindings.cpx can get corrupted by JDev, but let's not go too far for now.
    Mostly, it will work.

  • My Tasks View in my custom task list fails to display the tasks assigned to me (that is the currently logged in user)

    Hi
I am new to sharepoint 2010.
I created a custom task list, where I  have many tasks assigned to users (I had tasks assigned to me as well). I created a view as "My tasks "and having a filter as Assigned To is equal to [Me]. When I do that my view fails to show the
tasks assigned to me. This happens same with the Sharepoints 'My Tasks' view as well. I tested by creating some test tasks under my name and when I selected 'My Tasks' view no tasks are getting displayed.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Gokulkumar.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display the tasks assigned the current logged in user.
In my environment, if I used the System Account, My Task view didn’t display any tasks.
However , if I used other users except the System Account, My Task view could display current user tasks correctly.
I recommend to use other accounts except System Account to log in site. Then everything will work well.
    Thank you for your understanding.

Apart from these, I have Model and View Controller projects in the application. If I create the ADF task flow based on a Human task in another sample application, it works fine. Only in this application, it does not work. Not sure what this error is. Any ideas?
    Thanks,

What I suggest is go into EM and undeploy this composite and all versions. (Only if you don't want the existing ones). Then redeploy your process. This will avoid the version conflict and create a new version. 1.0. Then the next time you try and deploy you need to either specify a new version or check the box to say the version can be over written.
    cheers

  • Assign Analytic Servers under Projects folder in Shared Services

    Hello experts,
The problem is that: we are migrating dev environment to a new test environment. All is done, but when I try to assign "Administrator" role for Essbase server to an especific user, I can't see "Analytic Servers" option under Projects folder in Shared Services (where is Essbase server in dev environment).
How can I assign that role if I can't see Essbase server in Shared Services? Can I assign it? How?
    Thanks for your time!
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    You can do the following:
    1. Launch the MaxL Prompt and connect to Essbase Server using the Administrative user
    2. Execute the following:
    alter system resync sss;
    alter application all reregister;
If the Essbase security is externalized, the above commands will execute successfully. If Essbase is not registered to Shared Services, then you execute the following command:
    MAXL> display system security mode;
+.....If it is 1 then run the alter command:+
    MAXL> alter system set sss_mode <ENFORCE-PWD-SPEC>;
Please read http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/esb_tech_ref.pdf page 671 regarding <ENFORCE-PWD-SPEC> option to decide (depending on number of users on the system) what "password option" is best for you.
After successful, externalization of security, then execute again the following:
    MAXL>alter system resync sss;
    MAXL>alter application all reregister;
    Hope it helps....

  • Project Site's Tasks List not sync

    Hello,
It seems I am having an issue with Project Site's Tasks List as it doesn't sync with the Project Plan/Schedule in Project Online.
In all of the instances, the setting in PWA Settings/Connected SharePoint Sites: "Sync Enterprise Projects tasks to Tasks List" is always checked.
The thing is that it used to work fine: whenever I published a new project, whether it was "Automatically create a site on first publish" or "Allow users to choose", the Tasks Lists were successfully synced.
Recently I have removed/deleted the existing connected project site and created a new one based on default Project Site templates, meaning the synchronizable lists (Risks, Issues, Tasks etc.) must remain. Now the sync problem occurred for both newly published
projects and existing projects. The Project Site's Tasks List appeared empty although it was locked for edit in PWA. I though the sync would have run overnight, but it didn't.
Does anyone have any clues about this and how it can be fixed?
    Thanks,
    Linh

    Linh,
What is the task list you see under the column Server Settings >> Connected SharePoint Sites,
under the columns Tasks List, when you use the default template?
More over, is this is a new project or an old project? I think there is an issue if yo turn off and turn
the sync option again for existing projects. May be it applies to projects that you delete and recreate project site for?
