CProjects access in ECC6 EHP5

Hi,
Recently we installed IDES ECC6 EHP5, and I tried to access cProjects URL, by calling webdynpro DPR_MAINFRAME but i dont see the cProjects under it, I used to get the cPRojects URL in earlier EHP's like EHP4 and EHP3 from DPR_MAINFRAME. but i dont find it in EHP5. then I surfed to SICF and called cproject URL by testing a service... the URL is <hostname>.<domain>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects . I can log in to the cProject, but once i log in i dont see the menu to create project or open existing project. I can see button for creating simulation/versions, tabs like structure, resource, accounting, DMS etc.,...but dont find a menu for creating/opening the project. It seems there is been a change in EHP5 regarding cprojects. So, Can you please let me know how to access/work with  cProjects in EHP5 System.

HI,
Withh ECC Enhp5, SAP PPM version must be SAP PPM 5.0 Check the version in your landsacpe. And in PPM 5.0, the url link has got changed for cProjects. The link is as below
<Protocol>://<Host>.<Domain>.<Extension>:<Port>/sap/bc/nwbc/SAP_BPR_PPM
Proper additional roles need to be assigned to access SAP PPM. Refer to the configuration guide for SAP PPM 5.0

  • SAP 4.7 to ECC6 EHP5 Upgrade inc.OGSD - "/ICO/MOC_NEW_GUI" nametab error

    Hello all,
    I'm currently running a SAP upgrade from 4.72 to ECC6 EhP5 SPS6.
This upgrade include OGSD upgrade from4.72 SP12 to OGSD 6.10 SP5.
Duing phase upgrade phase RUN_RSPTBFIL_DEST, I have the following error message : Could not read nametab "/ICO/MOC_NEW_GUI".
According to OSS note 1377262, I download fix A61000INOGSD.SAR and extract file A-61000INOGSD.SAP in <upgdir>/cofiles (and also in <transdir>/cofiles).
Phase RUN_RSPTBFIL_DEST is still in error when I repeat it.
I note that content of A-61000INOGSD.SAP file is a little bit different regarding my error message:
    Inside file:
I 2EETW109 table "/ICO/MOC_NEW_GUI" does not exist in nametab.
    My error message:
2EETG011 "[DESTINFO] Could not read nametab""/ICO/MOC_NEW_GUI"
Many thanks for your help & feedback,
    Chris

    Hello Chris,
we experienced the same issue as you.
After discussion with the SAP Support team, it appears that this migration path is not the good one.
The right procedure is now to upgrade to ECC6 EhP5 with OGSD 6.10 SP0 and then to apply manually the SPs you want on OGSD add-on.
I think they are currently updating the corresponding OSS Notes.
    I hope it will help.

  • Accessing SAP ECC6 from EP

    Dear All,
Our Netweaver EP developer is requesting for SAP_ALL to access sap ecc6 system.
Are there any standard role from sap to support RFC call from Netweaver AS to SAP ECC6.
in reality the requirement is only to make web based application for editing personal user information.
    Thanks and Regards
    Syed Saifuddin

    Hi Jurjen Heeck
I think my knowledge is very less so I did not express the requirement in my question.
Application built on Netweaver EP is a java web based application it can connect with Dev or Qty or Prd.
But for connecting to any system the Netweaver Server need a username in SAP.
now during development I can create a user having SAP_ALL in Development System.
Now the same application need to connect to Quality and then to Production.
So in Quality I want to restrict the user to only T-Code used in the portal application and those require for RFC communication.
I want to know is there any standard Role or T-Code so I can assign it to user to run application from EP.

  • ECC6 EHP5 issue with authorisations now need access to S_DEVELOP

    Hi
We have ECC6 and have just upgraded to EHP5 and have found that many HR reports/transactions now need access to S_DEVELOP authorisation object.  This  has caused issues with our user roles.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Many thanks
    Julie

    Hi Julie,
Please implement SAP note :  1487329  "Additional Authorization Check in ABAP Workbench" that should solve your issue. There is also note 1617448 "WD ABAP Team Calendar needs S_DEVELOP authorization to load". Hope it helps,

  • CProjects access issue

    Hi Guys,
We're hitting an issue when trying to access cProjects 4.0 directly though an IE5.5 sp2 browser, after challenging and logging on the error message:
The following error text was processed in the system KU1 : WebDynpro Exception: Subclass of must overwrite/replace method .
The error occurred on the application server gb2ap070dia27_KU1_50 and in the work process 0 .
    The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
    The ABAP call stack was:
    Method: RAISE of program CX_WD_GENERAL=================CP
    Method: CLIENT_INSPECTOR_GET_CLIENT of program CL_WDR_CLIENT_ABSTRACT_HTTP===CP
    Method: IF_HTTP_EXTENSION~HANDLE_REQUEST of program CL_WDR_MAIN_TASK==============CP
    Method: EXECUTE_REQUEST_FROM_MEMORY of program CL_HTTP_SERVER================CP
    Function: HTTP_DISPATCH_REQUEST of program SAPLHTTP_RUNTIME
    Module: %_HTTP_START of program SAPMHTTP
This only seems to happen on IE5.5, and appears to work ok in 6.0. Does anybody know if there are any browser switches / configs to work around this as we are unable to do a browser update to such a large userbase?
    Cheers
    -Ben

    Thanks Denzo,
It looks like IE6.0 is needed as a minimum for cProjects on a NW07 ABAP server
I've been told that the BSP's that ship for cProjects 4.0 are WebDynPro based, and can only run on version 7.0 of the portal... does anyone know if this is true or if there is a workaround to getting the cprojects 4.0 BSPs running on an EP6.0 environment?
    Many thanks

None specifically says it supports ECC 6.0 EHP5. But, I was able to find several posts that they are integrating with SAP ECC 6 EHP5 using BizTalk adapter. However, I would like to make sure whether Microsoft officially supports or not in case of technical
    issue occurs.
    Does anyone have an answer?

I appreciate your response but I'm afraid that the information you have given is what I looked up before and thought they can't be an answer. As I already have stated in my question, I found several posts saying that they are integrating with ECC 6.0 EHP5
with BizTalk Adapter. With that, I can assume the BizTalk Adapter would work with EHP5 of ECC 6.0 as EHP is just an EnHancement Package. However, it does not mean Microsoft will support it when there is a technical issue unless it is stated so. So, what I
want to confirm here is more about liability. I cannot suggest my client to use BizTalk based on assumption.
To save anyone else's time, following are SAP versions supported by each BizTalk Adapter pack. None specifically mentions EHP 5. Can anyone from Microsoft or partner confirm this??
SAP Adapter BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0:

  • ALE between ECC6 EhP5 et ECC6 EhP4

I was wondering if there are any risks working with two different EhP versions between HCM (EhP5) and FICO (EhP) through an ALE connection. It should depend on the content exchange between these domaines, and at this stage of the project only basic content (such Cost Center, Company Code, etc.) should be bound between HCM and FICO through ALE.
Is someone out there already experienced this ALE connection between EhP5 and EhP4 and if so, how did it work?

    Hello Lionel,
If your only worry is about the risk involved in transferring data from one EHP to other EHP, Then there is no risk involved in this, ALE transfer will work perfectly, there would be no issue. Moreover EHP are based on ECC 6.0 base, So the base is same in both the cases. ALE transfer will work in the same manner you need to create IDOC structure on both the sides and then do the further activities.
Hope the above should be helpful.

    Deepak

  • Error while saving project in cProjects

    Hello,
I am getting following error while saving a project in cProjects-
Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.
Details of the error are given below-
Can somebody please help me resolve this error?
    Thanks and regards,
    Milind Dumbre
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
caught in    procedure "FINALIZE_OBJECT_BEFORE_SAVE" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a
         RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
        access a component (variable: "LR_CALC").
An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
before it can be used to access components.
Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
        CLEAR statement.

    Hi Milind,
You may check the settings by navigating to the following path
IMG --> Collaboration Projects --> Connection to external systems --> Accounting Integration
-->  Define Object Links for Accounting Integration.
Check if the RFC destination has been correctly maintained. You may check the correctness of the RFC settings via SM59.
Let me know if  this helps.

  • ECC6 shutdown : CIF deactivation and CIF reactivation ?

    Hello,
We are running SAP ECC6 EHP5 and SAP SCM 7.02/Live Cache 7.9.
I am a sap basis guy, and it is quite difficult to perform any maintenance on ECC6 which would require a shutdown ( parameter change, kernel update, memory adjustment, ...) because of the impact it has on the CIF
I just wanted to share with you our current procedure just to determine if it is indeed a common practice.
I understand that similar issues have already been discussed on sap scn threads, but most of them concern SCM/APO shutdown, like here :
How to handle CIF before we try to apply Service Packages to SCM?
I could not find any note, best practice regarding ECC6 shutdown
So, whenever we stop the ECC6 ssytem , we need to run a CIF-DEACTIVATION job, which consists of the following steps :
No. Program name/command Prog. type Parameters
    1  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  DEA_ATP_CHECK
    2  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  DEA_ATP_BATCH
    3  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  DEA_ATP_STOCK
    4  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  DEA_ATP_SALESO
    5  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  DEA_ATP_PURCH
    6  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  DEA_ATP_MATERI
    7  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  DEA_ATP_PLANTS
    This usually takes one hour.
And then after ECC6 system is restarted , we run the CIF-REACTIVATION job which consist of the following steps :
No. Program name/command Prog. type   Parameters
    1  RIMODGEN             ABAP                  ATP_PLANTS
    2  RIMODGEN             ABAP                  ATP_MATERIALS
    3  RIMODGEN             ABAP                  ATP_PURCH_ORDS
    4  RIMODGEN             ABAP                  ATP_SALESORDER
    5  RIMODGEN             ABAP                  ATP_STOCK
    6  RIMODGEN             ABAP                  ATP_BATCHES
    7  RIMODGEN             ABAP                  ATP_CHECK
    8  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  ATP_PLANTS
    9  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  ATP_MATERIALS
    10  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  ATP_PURCH_ORDS
    11  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  ATP_SALESORDER
    12  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  ATP_STOCK
    13  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  ATP_BATCHES
    14  RIMODAC2             ABAP                  ATP_CHECK
    15  RIMODDEL             ABAP                  ATP_ALL
    16  RAPOKZFX             ABAP                  ATP_GATP
    17  RCIFIMAX             ABAP                  ATP_GATP
    18  RDELALOG             ABAP                  ATP_GATP
    This takes 7 hours !!!
I am starting to suspect that we might not be doing the "right thing", but I am definitely not an APO expert.
Could you please kindly share your practices, thoughts ?
    Thanks and Regards

    HI Raoul,
No need to activate and de activate CIF when ever you stop ECC system.
Reason is you will send data to APO only When ECC is not available i.e., RFCs not working then you will set up the connections and do data transfers.
Check any data transfer is happening by directly/batch. Postpone those activities..
Prior to shut down ECC/SCM send remainders to users that the systems will not be available.
Use these 2 programs from SCM side when you have stopped ECC.
    RSTRFCQ1 : Stop Outbound Queue
    RSTRFCQ3 : Restart Outbound Queue.
In our project we have to postpone/stop the jobs for data transfers between ECC and APO.
However you will be having daily CIF jobs to make ECC and APO in synch. So, once you re start your ECC regular CIF jobs will activate new objects(master and trnasaction data) and will deactivate lod data.
    Thanks,
    Bala.

  • MD04 and CO09 are not matching after EHP5 upgrade

    Hi all,
we have changed to ECC6 EHP5 and now we have the following problem:
When we are using transaction CO09 we are not able to see old purchase orders.
When we are going into the purchase order and change the quantity, they will appear in the CO09.
In MD04 everything looks like befor the EHP upgrade.
    Any ideas?

  • Ehp5 components for ISU + FI/CA

    Hi experts,
I'm a basis consultant currently installing a sandbox for an ISU project (ECC6 Ehp5).
I was expecting to upgrade only ISU and FI/CA to Ehp 5 but consultants are requesting that I also apply Ehp5 to HR and EA-HR.
Is anyone aware of a dependency between FI/CA and HR ?
Should I upgrade HR to 6.04 and EA-HR to 6.05 in order to be able to use FI/CA and ISU ?
    Thaks for your help.

Dependency of HR to FICA is with respect to Roles and authorizations .
If you are using the cash desk facility then there are settings available for roles and authorization for cashiers .
If you activate that setting that is use roles for cash desk then HR integration would come in to picture , as the authorization object used would be PLOG . This is one of the dependencies i am aware of .
Else raise an OSS for resolution of your issue .
    Cheers ,

  • Fiori Sales Orders Application : No items are currently available

    Hello,
I have installed and deployed SAP Fiori on top of Netweaver Gateway 7.4 and SAP ECC6 EHp5 (Pre-Production system)
Both systems have been patched to the latest UI/Odata patches and latest UI notes have been applied.
I am at the moment mostly interested by making operations the SD Applications :
So far, only the "Customer Invoice" Application is working
I have been trying over the past week to try get the others SD Applications " Creates Sales Orders", "Change Sales Orders", "Track Sales Orders" ...
    but they remain desperately empty.
I suspect a SD configuration issue, and maybe someone here would be able to point me in the right direction ( I am SAP Basis) :
There are no errors in the SAP NEtweavet Gateway error logs
There are no errors , when running the SD Applications through Chrome/Inspect Elements/Network
I have followed the Fiori Instalaltion Guide :
My user id has been assigned to a employee number
This employee number has been assigned through the partner functions to several customers
I can then access to this list of Assigned Customers within the fiori SD Applications, but then I have the message " No Items are currently available"
I even created several SalesOrders in the backend system , to try to Track them of change them though Fiori, but I still have the same message :
" No Items are currently available"
Here are the parameters "Configuration table For Sales Order Create Application", I think I followed the configuration guide correctly
    Any idea ?
    Thank you for your attention

    Hello Masa,
Indeed, I had to provide a feedback of what I have done to solve the problem
As you suggested, I started debugging the application while running the "Create Sales Order" Application :
    * The Partner Function was correct
    * The sales orders were correctly retrieved but then when  copying the results into some internal table, there was nothing left.
    * IT turns out that we are using some unorthodox Sales Document Doc Type "ZZSO"
I changed the SIMGH parameter DOCTYPE accordingly, and the Sales Orders immediately appeared !
Thank you again for all the help you provided, I never could have make it that far without your priceless inputs all over SCN !

  • One Portal for ESS - multiple HCM backends?

    Hi all,
I am wondering if I could run a portal (7.00) and connect this to a HCM backend with ECC 6 EhP2, thus requiring the BPs and content with WebDynpro/Java technology to be deployed in the portal and simultaneously connect to another HCM backend based on ECC6 EhP5, thus requiring the necessary BPs and content with WebDynpro/ABAP technology in the portal (by the way: which BPs are necessary to be deployed in the portal?). For accessing services in the EhP2 backend we will use the Homepage framework but for accessing services from the EhP5 backend we will use only WebDynpro/ABAP. Can we use both of them in one portal (of course by means of different roles...)?
Kind regards and thanks in advance for any hints,
    Uwe

I am wondering if I could run a portal (7.00) and connect this to a HCM backend with ECC 6 EhP2, thus requiring the BPs and content with WebDynpro/Java technology to be deployed in the portal and simultaneously connect to another HCM backend based on ECC6 EhP5, thus requiring the necessary BPs and content with WebDynpro/ABAP technology in the portal
    Yes, this is possible.
by the way: which BPs are necessary to be deployed in the portal?
    EhP2 requires a BP ESS 1.2 and EhP5  needs BP ESS 1.5
Can we use both of them in one portal (of course by means of different roles...)?
Yes, you may as long as you are able to make sure that there would be two similar set of PCD objects existing in your scenario and you dont mix them up

    Hi,
I'm not sure what the problem is, but I can give you some basic suggestions about what you could do.
First of all, check if there are more detailed error messages available in the defaultTrace.trc file. You can open the file using LogViewer service in Visual Administrator.
Also, check the settings for Database URL, and make sure you have set the SQL Engine option in the Additional tab to "Native SQL".

  • High volume Printing for GLM?

I understand from various sources GLM can support high volume label output provided the correct enhancements and support packs are installed and configured.  This may include updates to WWI.  We are currently running ECC6 EHP5, SAP_BASIS 10, EHSM 3, WWI 2.7
I would like to get this communities inputs.  Our requirement is to generate >2000 identical labels via GLM.  WWI processing today is long (5+min) and the output is large.  Ideally system would generate 1 label with indication to print 2000 times.  Our labels include barcodes and symbols and can be complex.

    Dear Richard,
The functions of GLM is well explained as Christopher said and using GLM, you can print labels more than 10000 witha  sequential data output. To support such large quanitity of data to be printed on labels, you may need a special printers like the Zebra High volume printer. The WWI server is equipped to print large volume of labels using specific printer plugins.
High volume printers can be used to print print requests with print files that are too large or that contain more than 32,768 labels to be printed. The HVP is designed as a printer driver for Microsoft Windows and is connected to the label printer via a plug-in.
With the HVP, only one page with all static data is sent to the printer. The HVP then receives all of the sequential data via an interface and automatically supplements the sequential data in the printout. The HVP also integrates changing bar codes or texts in the printout.
The Zebra 170Xi4 is one of most popular, industrial-strength printers on the market. This rugged metal unit prints 1-color labels up to 6.6" wide, with 300 dpi print resolution in thermal or thermal transfer mode. Its extra processing power equates to speeds up to 12 inches-per-second. This one is perfect for tough applications including compliance labels, product labels, and shipping labels.
