Dear All,
Can anybody share me the pdf file of the same available in help.sap.com for cProjects. I tried it, but not able to find it.

Pdf output of web dynpro does not display in cProjects

Hi,
We created a custom web dynpro which calls a smartform and gives a pdf output. This pdf output is seen on the cProjects portal under a customized tab.
The issue is, some users are able to see this pdf output on teh portal without any issues but others cannot view it in their system.
When the first time the users try to view this they get a prompt for downloading activex from adobe ag and on accepting this they are able to view the pdf. This prompt does not come up for other users and hence they are not able to view the pdf output of the web dynpro.
I checked the activex control settings in the IE options and they are all enabled. Still I do not get this pop up prompting for activex download.
Are there any settings in the internet explorer or the system which have to be done to view the pdf on the portal?
Any thougths on this will be extremely helpful.

Cannot see project status report pdf inside cprojects using Firefox

Hi,
I am using firefox software to view project status report in cprojects. It shows me blank.
But if I view Approval document, the pdf shows correct in the browser.
As you might be aware,Please note these pdf reports display inside the webpage area,so please donot reply with solutions of opening pdf in separate browser window etc.

Are you able to open any other pdf forms in cProjects. for eg. approval document?
I guess you need to get the exact location of error.
After the system gives a dump, run transaction ST22 and get the program/function name where the error is actaully occuring.

Task status report in cProject 3.1

Hi,
I want to extract task status report from cProject 3.1.
Report should contain task name, status, start date,end date , effort etc.

Hi,
Activate the form DPR_TASK_HIER for a particular Project type in SPRO screen. Now keep the cursor on any task in cProjects & click on Print pushbutton, this will generate a PDF Report which will contain Task name, Constraint dates, actual dates, administration details etc. In order to add more data to the Report, goto transaction SAMRTFORMS & edit the form DPR_TASK_HIER.

Printing and PDF Preview - ADS Server needed?

I have a technical question about the technical background of printing in cPro 4.5:
If I use PDF Print Forms, how is the generation of the PDF working. Does this happen locally on my server, and do I need special components on my server, or do i need to connect to an external server that generates the PDF for me (e.g. an Adobe Document Server) ?

Digital Signatures for cProjects Approval

Hi Folks,
I am on cProjects 4.5 and from what I understand there are 2 options for this based on whether or not I check the "Signature of Approval with User Certificate" box in Project Type config.
Unchecked - user is prompted for cProjects password and this works fine. Only issue for us is, we are on the portal and most likely cProjects password will be different and unknown to user. As per note 928527 this is standard behavior and tough luck for anybody on the portal.
Checked - use is given the ability to digitally sign the PDF approval document. When I select "sign" on the PDF I am given the ability to create a new ID or use an existing ID from a file, server etc. I created a new ID and signed the document. Once I do this and click the transfer button the system appears to hang. The progress indicator appears and keeps going.
Therefore my questions are:
1. Is there any additional config I need to do in cProjects. ADS or anywhere else?
2. How exactly does adobe digital signatures work? If anybody simply create a signature how does that provide any verification of authenticity?

You can use user certificates for digital signatures of approvals.

● You are using Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
● You have a user certificate that is suitable for digital signatures (for example, the single
sign-on certificate).
● You have installed Adobe® Reader and Adobe Document Services.
Procedure
To verify the signature, enter the corresponding root certificate in the certificate list of the
Personal Security Environment (PSE, transaction STRUST). For more information, see the
documentation for the activity and the Adobe Document Services u2013 Configuration Guide NW
2004s on SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/adobe u2192 Media Library u2192

In fact, what is described in the ADS documentation referenced above is that you have to install
the certificate also on the ADS.

ECL Viewer Redlining does not work in cFolders for PDF

Hi,
I am using cFolders 4.5 with ECL viewer 6.0 patch level 4. Redlining functionality works for AutoCAD and graphics files such as JPG. However, when I try to use the redlining functionality on a PDF I get the message "This feature is currently not supported. Please contact your cFolders system administrator. The ECL viewer will shut down".
Any ideas on why this is happening. Is there anything specific I need to do to enable redlining for PDF files on cFolders.

This can be only realized in form of a modification.
To get the functionality, you have to change the code of BSP page

please upload this to your WebDAV (replace the old one and save this under a different name as
backup). The way to access WebDAV is explained in the cFolders configuration guide, chapter 'Creating the Settings URL for WebDAV Access' (the guide is attached to note 973764).

CProject 4. 0 Document Approval Document Error

Hi All,
We have the configuration that was working fine for Phase Approval in cProjects 4.0.
I am having a look at it as we are getting <b>You can not begin approval without an approval document</b> error message on click of Begin Approval button.
Though I have not checked ADS (Note - 944221), this does not seem to be ADS problem as the Document with decision as Granted gets displayed properly.
I create New Approval by adding approver, after click of Begin Approval, then the error message gets displayed.
Configuration seems OK as it was working fine few days ago.
Also looking at note 874054 (Is it only for cProjects 3.1 ?)
The only thing which I am doubtful about is, in configuration Activate Forms Per Project Type where I need to deactivate the smartform DPR_APPROVAL_HIER, which is set to Active (i will deactivate and test again). Also the PDF Print form DPR_APPROVAL_HIER is set active.

Project Status Report - cProjects 4.0 - Run time error

Under Basic Settings, I go to 'Forms for Printing and for Project Status Reports'. Here, under 'Create PDF-Based Forms', I select the form 'DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF' and Activate it. I then get to 'Activate Forms per project type'.I get to 'New Entries' and add 'DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF' and also set the 'Active' and 'Status Rpt' checked.
When I get to cProjects front end, I see the 'Project Status Report' template under the 'Status Report' tab. However, when I click on the 'Preview' button, I get to see a dump.
"The following error text was processed in the system SRP : WebDynpro Exception: SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport : HTTP send returned with status code(100.101)"
Can someone please suggest how to get something useful at the click of the preview button?

Hi,
Yes your basis team should tell you more about this. ADS Credential needs to be installed on the java stack of your cProjects Server. For this you will have to send a message to SAP requesting for the ADS Credential. You will then receive a credential file with its password.
However not all servers support ADS. There is a list of server names that support ADS. You can get the server name on which cProjects is installed from your basis team and I shall let you know if it is supported or not. You can also have a look at in the PAM (Product availability Matrix) for SAP NetWeaver 2004s - Additional Components at http://service.sap.com/pam

'Project Status Report' activation in cProjects

Hi,
I was trying to configure the Status Reports in cProjects. I have completed creation of the form (chose DPR_PROJECT), activated the templates for the relevant Project type and also implemented the Badi with the correct form name. I am still unable to see any template dropdown in the application (cProjects). The DPR_Project template should appear in the same for me to create the Status Report. Please advice.

I think, it may be a ADS installation issue.
The configuration of ADS server is somehow not very easy, as I saw so many installations problems with status report in cProj. 4.0.
Would you please check the following notes:
900310 & 992492 .
And the following reports may be helpful to check the setting:
FP_PDF_TEST_00 (returns version number of ADS)
FP_TEST_00 (creates a test PDF)
FP_EXAMPLE_01 (creates a test PDF using SFLIGHT data)
FP_TEST_IA_01 (creates an interactive PDF that can be signed via certificate)
FP_PDF_TEST_12 (returns signatures of a signed PDF  requires secure (SSL) ADS connection  ADS_HTTPS)

Cannot save status report in cProjects

Hi,
I cannot save project status report in cProjects. When I click the save button, it just shows the timer showing saving icon but never comes out of it.
Could anyone please help and guide me where the problem lies?

There may be mainly two reasons
1) As neil say check your ADS Installation
2) Check the IMG setting as follow
Collaboration Project --> Basic Settings --> Form for printing and project Status Report
in that use Activate forms per Project type .
Select your project and click on right hand side PDF print form
you will find the list of status report , check there status report print form is active or not.
if you standard
then DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF Is activated or not.
3) Collaboration Project --> Basic Settings --> Form for printing and project Status Report
in that check the BADI
DPR_STATUSREPORT_PDF AND
DPR_STATUSREPORT_AIF
Is ACTIVATE OR NOT
if you create your own status report form you need to create BADI .

Adding a new tabpage into the Cprojects

Hi,
I am working on cprojects. I have added a new tab page by the method of Global Enhancement to Cproject, and successfull in getting the link in the tab page. I've created a webdynpro component and attached to that particulat tab.
The requirement is to generate a report in PDF format from the new tab. I am able to get the output of the report and print also. Once after getting the PDF output, i am not able to move into the next tab to do other activities. Also i am forcefully terminating the Cprojects.

Status Reports in cProjects

Hi All,
I am using cProjects 4.0. I have tried to create a "New Status Report" using Template "Project Status Report" on the Status Reports Tab page. Then clicked on the Preview button. Now I am getting a blank page with "Save", "Save and Send" and Cancel button at the top. But when I try to save it, its not saving the Status report also no message is generated.
Therefore I could not generate status report.
Again if I want to "Save and Send" then it it asking for the Recipients Email Id assigned to the User address. But should merely maintaining the Email id in the user address be sufficient enough to send Email to external Ids ? What are the additional configs we need to do ?
I have done the PDF form assignment to the project type and also activated it.
Pls help me out.

Hi all, i resolved the problem ....
you have to check those notes...Note 944221 .. Note736902..Note 702438.
and then check all the ADS config because it´s very easy to have problems with the User and passwords config of the ADSUSER ( Note 894009 ).

CProjects 4.0 Latest Selected Object .......WebDynpro ABAP

Hi Experts,
I am developing custom views in cprojects 4.0
I am calling my own Z component on a click of a button that i embedded in a standard view of a standard component for a 'DOCUMENT' Tab.
So for attaching the documents, user will first select the task,phase or project...
and then go to 'Documents' Tab and then Z component will be opened in a new window.
So when user navigates to Z component i need to know the object type (task , phase or project...) and its guid . So that I can call the corresponding BAPI to upload the document as URL.
Let me know if u need further clarification on this..
