Pls pour your comments and suggestions....!

hello,
c-projects is a part of PLM.
you can use hr in c-projects to get employees and the org. structure.
but you can also run it without.

    In a landscape were you have many SAP systems like R3,BW,CRM,ECC6...etc what is the recommended architecture for the Cprojects  & Cfolders? Only one system with Cprojects installed or we can have cprojects installed in all the landscapes(R3,CRM,ECC..etc.

  • CProject Suite and WebDAV ...

    Hi all !
    created eternal alias in 'sicf' for <defaul_host/sap/cpro> named webdav;
    now i want to connect to this WebDAV folder via Portal Drive or open this URL as a webfolder in Internet Explorer ... for example http://<fqdn>.<port>/webdav/dpr for cProjects or http://<fqdn>.<port>/webdav/cfx/cwn for Folders; both doesn't work; error -> could not be opened as a webfolder in IE or 'path could not be found' in Portal Drive;
    something missconfigured ?
    need help !
    regards
    oliver

    Hi Jose,
    goto t-code 'sicf';
    create an external alias e.g. /<sid><client> pointing to /default_host/sap/cpro;
    [ don't forget to activate the service /default_host/sap/cpro ]
    use the URL http://<fqdn>.<port>/<external-alias>/cfx/cwn to connect to the cFolders documents with e.g. SAP Portal Drive;
    without an external-alias u can test it via URL http://<fqdn>.<port>/sap/cpro/cfx/cwn;
    hope this helps;

  • PLM - cPROJECT SUITE

    Hi,
    This is very urgent.
    Does anyone know about the tables DPR_PROJECT, DPR_TASK and DPR_OBJLINK.
    As far as I think DPR_PROJECT is a Header Table with all the project data, whereas DPR_TASK is a child table containing list of all the tasks belonging to the objects.
    What I would like to know is that how are the tables DPR_PROJECT and DPR_OBJLINK related to each other. Which is the key field that links DPR_PROJECT and DPR_OBJLINK.
    Please treat this as very urgent.
    Any answers are welcome. Thank you all very much.
    Best Regards,

  • How do I access CProjects in Sol Man

    Hi all
    I've been looking through the SAP Project management tools and have started familiarising myself with SOLAR01 / 02, RMMAIN, etc but have found through digging in Google that SAP has another set of project management tools called CProjects. (By all accounts you can do Gantt charts, resource scheduling and all that Jazz?)
    I think it is installed in our Sol Man solution as I can give my user the Auths required for access to CProjects inc SAP_CPR_PROJECT_ADMINISTRATOR etc.
    However I cannot yet find out how to access the CProject menu's etc (if they exist as such). Can you give me some help here as to what these menu items are and how do I confirm that CProjects is actually fully installed.
    Also are there any other SAP PM Tools my system should contain?
    Thanks

    Hi Mapp,
    The features of Solman and cProjects complement each other to provide a complete toolset for effective project management.Solman project can be extended to cProjects to manage project phases and tasks.
    To access cProjects via Solman, navigate to Environment -> Project IMG -> Select 'Logical Component' cProjects Suite or use transaction SOLAR02 and navigate to Solutions/Applications -> mySAP PLM -> Configuration Structures -> SAP cProject Suite 4.5 -> Basic Settings for cProjects.
    Hope this helps.

  • CProjects - Project Systems Linking and other features

    Dear All,
                  I need inputs on how to integrate cProjects with Project Systems. Also i need information on the what are all the information we can integrate between these two.
                  One more important thing is i am seeing the Services, Details Data and Controlling links in My cProjects system. Where as i found Account Assignment, Costing links in one screenshot of Documents. And both are for cProjects 4.0. Why this difference is showing up
                  And one generic question is, what is the requirement for these kind of scenarios. And pros and Cons of both the systems.
    regards,
    rajesh.

    Hi Srini,
    Thanks very much for the links. However, I've already gone through the standard documentation in SAP and they are a bit too high level/vague for me. I have considerable experience in xRPM, cProjects Suite and have good grasp of project management concepts, tool and techniques. My knowledge of PS is somewhat limited though.
    What I am specifically looking for is what type integration options and scenarios are available. For example, cProjects can have phases and tasks defined. How would these integrate with for example WBS elements and networks in PS? What are the things you would do in cProjects and not PS and vice versa? Hope my question is clearer now.
    Appreciate any further information you may have on the above.
    Thanks,

  • Tables for Task & Business Partner - cProject

    Hello all,
    We are on cProject suite 4.0

    Can anybody throw light on this?
    Regards

    hi prashant,
    to identify the tables u can run a trace... transaction : ST05
    activate the trace in ST05
    run cprojects and open a  project in which a task has been assigned a role(resource)
    deactivate  the trace and view the trace details..it would give u all the tables that have been accessed.
    note: remember to deactivated the trace.
    let me know if its helpful.

  • Authorizations in cProjects 4.0 and cFolders

    Hi all,
    We implemented cProjects 4.0 using EP 7.0. I have used the standard SAP deleivered roles for cprojects in backend system for cprojects and cfolders (Ex: SAP_CPR* and SAP_CFX*). I would like to control on 'project type' as there are two regions that I need to control the projects. One region is not supposed to view the projects of other region and vice-versa. I entered the respective project type for each region in the auth object 'CPRO_PTYPE', and assigned the role to that region. But doing this is not limiting each region to see only their project type. They are able to see projects of other region also..
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Also web links or documents to understand the authorizations in cprojects will be very helpful.
    thanks,
    Sashank Kondru

    Hi,
    maybe the online documentation on cProject can help here. Please go to
    http://help.sap.com and select:
    mySAP ERP

    There you can find the online documentation on cProject Suite 4.0
    In the documentation you'll find all the necessary information on the auhtorisation objects listed under:

  • CProjects Usage in PS

    Hi everybody,
    Our client [in SMB market range] has a new product development project which involves stringent project management & quality control plans and uses Advance Product Quality Planning procedure [APQP].
    I found that for their process of manufacturing, quality checks and entire project management scenario cProjects has to be used for effective project management. I believe cProjects is a different package [correct me if am wrong] of SAP. But our client has not gone for cProjects package.
    Can u please suggest some ways to build the APQP templates, Control plan, quality checklist document uploading etc...and linking the same in PS without using cProjects. I also welcome any other suggestions from you experts.
    Thanks & Regs,
    Kabir

    Hi,
    There are certain advantages and limitations of cProject suite over PS. You need to consider all these  while selecting the appropriate one.
    Some of the advantages which cProject are- it is web based, cProjects supports flexible project management and team collaboration, cProjects provides project structuring capabilities etc.
    But when it comes to the execution part of the project, it lacks the integration with logistics and financials.
    There is a std. road map given by SAP. Please go through it and then take a call

  • Roles for cProjects

    Dear All,
    We are using cprojects for creation of project,staffing a team members to an project.
    currently we have an SAP_All in CRM server for doing the above activities and we dont want to keep the same in future.So we would to like to know the roles which are being used for this purpose.
    Background:
    CRM 4.0
    R/3 4.7
    Please get in touch for more information
    Thanks,
    Vadi

    Dear Vivek,
       I have installed cproject suite in my Sol Man 4.0 system.
    My cproject system detail is:
    CPRXRPMRelaease 400Level:0007.
    I am new to cprojects. I am quite confused with roles in cprojests.
    In my solution Manager system, in transaction PFCG, i have found below roles related to cprojects.
    1.SAP_CPR_RESOURCE_MANAGER
    2. SAP_CPR_PROJECT_LEAD
    3. SAP_CPR_MEMBER
    4. SAP_CPR_DECISION_MAKER
    Then in SPRO, under IMG, we can create some other roles related to cprojests.
    The IMG Path is:
    Collaboration projects->Resource Management-->Define project role functions & Define project role types.
    What is the functionality of these different roles? (ie one set of roles are defined in PFCG & another set of roles are defined in IMG)
    How these roles are getting linked?
    Your valuable information will be very much appreciated.
    regards
    Senthil
