CProjects task confirmation through CATS

Hi all,
We are on ECC6.0. We want to confirm tasks in cProjects through CATS. We've made the required settings in the data entry profile for CATS, and in the Project Type of cProjects.
We are not using any approval procedure in CATS for time recording and release. However, on saving the timesheet, there are no confirmation documents posted in the table DPR_CONF_LI.
Are we missing anything? Please suggest.

I don't have any specific documents for cProjects & CATS integration. However i am describing few steps for integration point of view.
There are essential four condtions, which influence the items in time sheet
1. The customizing of the CATS Data Entry Profiles must be set correctly.
2. The Link between the personal numer (Cat2) and Business Partner (cProject) must be maintained correctly.
3. The business partner must be assigned to a role or task within the used time period
4. The involved cProject objects (role or task) must have a accounting assignment.
Apart from this, your data entry profile for time entry need to be configured properly.

I am confirming through CATS for the PS, When I try to copy the activity from the work list to the Data entry view the error message comes "The attendance/absence type 00/0800 does not exist on 02.06.2008 Message no. HRTIM00CATS081. I checked the attendence type tha valid date is upto 31.12.2008.

Try this path
SPRO>personnel management>Time management>Attendance/Actual working hours>Define attendance types.
Once you define type 800 in it. Then default it in Data entry profile. (SPRO>cross application components>Time sheet>CATS classic>Data Entry profile.)

Confirmation thru CATS

Normally prod. order confirmation is done using Co11N or CO15. Now here the clients req is he wants to post the confirmation thru CATS by entering the prod. order so that there is no need to carry out further confirmation using CO11N.The main idea is The order status changes to CNF or PCNF once he posts thru CATS. BUt my idea is CATS does not support production order confirmation i.e it is not linked to PP. Is there any other way by means of a work around or triggering a background program?

Record time through CATS on a process order?

Is it possible to record time through CATS on a process order?

While confirmation through COR6N

Hi Expert,
We are working in process order scenario. I have one problem while doing confirmation through COR6N (enter time ticket for process orders) there is one field "CONFIRMATION TEXT" & that field is marked mandatory also and user is filling some text as per business needs like "contractor name" But the main concern is that we don't have any pre-entered list of names of contractors in SAP for which users are regularly making mistakes while typing the names.
and the same field is incorporetd in ZMB51 report through table name "AFRU" field name "LTXA1" but some time user entered wrong name and thus report doesnot reflect correct, how to rectify this issue permanently, is there any option to choose text as a drop down list or like any exit/functional module.
Note:- WE ARE ALREADY USING FIELD REASON FOR VARIANCE FOR SOME OTHER PURPOSE.

Hi kaushik,
It is possible to incorporate some more fields in the Time Ticket confirmation for process industries using the T. code OPK1 here you can choose suitability or wage group or other fields in the initial screen of COR6N, And by configuring your selection criteria for the pre-entered list of names of contractors in a field of suitability or wage group. You can make it mandatory using screen variant.
In this way you will be able to drawn Z-reports as well as the standard reports too.

Once you made sure that the output type definition is all set with all relevant data and ABAP work, go to the condition record of the same output. Maintain the mediums as 5 -- Extrenal Send and Date / Time as 4- send immediately when saving the order. Then go to the details of the record and maintain the relevant communication strategy. Save the record. This should trigger the mail automatically when you save the order.
If you also want to print with the same output type, then you need to go back to order VA02 , repeat output and change the medium to 1.
If you want to automatically print and also mail on single save / then you need to tweak the output program to trigger print and mail both at the same instance. This is possible by the output program. Then you need to keep the medium as 1.

Reversal of Production Order Confirmation through IDOCS

Hello all,
The time for each operation in a production order is logged in KabaBEnzing tool called Autotime. This is sent to SAP through IDOCS and the order confirmation is created. There is a scenario where the supervisor could have entered the wrong time against an operation. Is it possible to reverse the confirmation through IDOCs. If yes, please let me know what should be the approach? Also, I heard that SAP does not accept negative time to do the reversal. How true is this?

I saw your message and we are doing the same thing. Did you find any answers to your questions. We are using Kaba for our shop system and now we would like to sent negative numbers back to sap because of supervisor adjustments. I have not found any way to set Sap to allow it. What conclusions have you came up with the situation.

No records for transfer to PS

Then transfer the time to project system using CAT5 t.code.
Do you followed the above t.codes?

TO Confirmation through Mobile Data Entry

Dear All,
I have a query regarding TO confirmation through MDE(mobile data entry) screen.
In the development server, in one user the MDE screens of TO confirmation for picking and put away is working properly.We have created a seperate user in the same server.But here when we are trying to open the transactions LM03 and LM05, we get a message saying 'Logical Screen Cannot be Found'.
I want to know whether we need to maintain any data for every new user that we create, and I would also like to know where and how we need to maintain this data.

I think you have to maintain the Profile Defination for the User , this can be done by using Tcode SPRO then go to Logistics Execution - Authorization Management- Define Profiles.
or by using PFCG transaction.

No confirmation through Collective Confirmation CO12

Hi
We are having setup 0010 and 0020 operation, at 0010 PRT is attached with usage value calculation.
While confirming through CO12 transaction. and putting all operation together There is no confirmation is executed. We get the message "No confirmation Executed" and the message no is RU514.
We are working ECC 6.0
Can any one help

Pl check whether order is released or not ? Or if there is an costing error in confirmation , it will not post the confirmation. Pl send me the details of the error message.

Collective confirmation through COGI-reg

When I do collective confirmation through COHV for production orders, Final issue indicator is set automatically and system does not allow any good issue posting for that orders. can you tell me whether any setting to be done in customising.

Check in OPK1 and OPK0 in the defaults is there a check box ticked for - clear oper reservations?
If so then the reservation against the ordfer wikll be closed as it will be defaulted during confirmation

Object Links - linking cProjects' Task to ...

I intend linking a cProjects' task to an object in the 'Training and Event Management' module (from SAP HR).
Can I have this object link from cProjects? The Event/Date instance from the 'Training and Management' module ought to be linked to a cProjects' task.

Yes, the object link of the cProject is very flexbel, which can link almost every type of R/3 (may be not only R/3) object.

Yes, configure the Time Capsule to create a wireless network using the exact same wireless network name and password as the Linksys wireless network.

Negative houry entry through CATS !!

There is a requirement to enter nagative hours through CATS to update infotype 2010 (without customizing). Can any one please let me know is there any way to allow negative hours through CATS time entry!

What is the significance of entering Negative time in CATS. BY definition, it is intended to record time spent on an activity. If we do not spend time on any activity, we just do not book any time on it.
If it is something like an absence, you can book it against an absence type.
Or try something like this, if it is absolutely essential, although I am struggling to understand why it would be -
Enable CATSD-VERSL in your time sheet. Define an Overtime Compensation Type called Negative and use this for entering Negative amounts.
You would need a PCR in Payroll to interpret this as a negative sign.
The above suggestion is purely theoretical, so you would need to give it a good try and test it out.
