CPU fan speed help - One fan twice as fast as the other

I have a Powermac G5 Dual 1.8 that recently started fan revving. I cleaned out the dust inside and made sure CPU performance was set to Highest as recommended here. Seems to have fixed the revving issue so far but iStat Pro is reporting CPU B's fan speed is twice that of CPU A's despite the temperature being similar (B's is always higher by a degree at most). CPU A's fans are running about 1000 rpm while B can be between 1500 - 1900 rpm. This is with the system performing some graphics task not when it's idle. Idle they are more even.
Only thing I can see is that CPU load is marginally different in Activity monitor with the top graph (doesn't say which CPU it is) being a little more than the lower graph, not be much though.
Does this indicate a problem in waiting? What else can I do to check things?

Window > Show Overview will enable monitoring of the sensors and fan speeds, and comparison of the CPU A & B read-outs.
You can also create artificial sensors for Processor Load A & B in Preferences > Probes. These can then be compared to the other readings for CPU A & B in the same Sensor Overview window. Good Luck.

In order to correct the issue, reset the SMC. Your iMac should now start up and operate as expected.

when starting my computer the screen is gray with two harddrives. One is named Macintosh HD and the other Recovery 10.9. My computer has never done this before! I am really worrid that my files will be lost if i choose to start the wrong harddrive. Which one should i choose? How should I do if I paid monthly payment twice for a month. One is by Auto payment and the other is by hand... Is it possible to get refund? don't I need to pay for it next time?
I know a couple others that waited for two billing cycles but it will come back as a credit on that account.

One safari is fast but the other one is extremely slow while open the same website!
When i open nrich.maths.org on my two macbook pro, one is fast but the other one is extremely slow. I traced this website on both but seemed nothing difference.
My safaris are both version 5.1.2 (7534.52.7), os are 10.7.2, settings of safaris are same.
I also tried some other sites but all's fast.
Anybody have any ideas?

TonyOn the one that's slow...
Go to Safari > Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If it's not an extension issue, try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Qui then relaunch Safari to test. If Safari speeds up, move that .plist file to the Trash. If not, move it back to the Preferences folder.
Empty the Safari cache more often. From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
If that doesn't help, back to the menu bar, click Safari > Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons, click Reset.

I have set up two email accounts on my iphone4, one with tiscali, my ISP, and the other on gmail. I am able to receive emails on both accounts, and can send emails from my gmail account, but am "Unable to Send Email" from my tiscali (talktalk) account. My kids had 2 games of clash of clans on 1 game centre. Now I can only see one? How can I find the other one?
My daughter set up a game centre on her ipad. My son, on his ipad used the same game centre log in. He then set up his own game of clash of clans. After my son set up his Clash of Clans, my daugher set up her own Clash of Clans using the same game centre log in on her ipad. Both were using the Clash of Clans successfully on their own ipads using the same game centre log in.
One day my son signed into someone elses Clash of Clans, since then he is unable to go back to his Clash of Clans and can only see his sisters.
Please let me know if this can be resolved.
We wish to delete my daughters Clash of Clans - as she does not use it at all. We would like to regain access to my sons.

thanksThanks for taking a stab at it: that didn't prove to be the problem. That option in the settings for tabbed browsing was not checked.
I may be a bit behind the times: I am used to tabbed browsing showing all the tabs it possibly can, instead of just the last one. Sometimes it won't even show the last tab: I can have 15 tabs open, and not see a single tab. I've been confused by this into closing a window with lots of tabs open, because it looks like a single page-window.
My main problem with the tab-bar flashing to the end of the row is that it means a great deal more mouse-clicking around to browse.
I haven't tried installing the latest beta. Maybe that would fix the problem.

But its giving class cast exception. Please help on this..Do you mean "two different layers" as in separate JVMs or "two different layers" as in functional areas running within the same JVM.
In either case, if the first class is actually semantically and functionally the same as the second (and they are always intended to be the same) then import and and use the first class in place of the second. That's beyond any question of how to get the data of the first into the second if and when you need to.
Once you make the breakthrough and use one class instead of two I'd guess that almost solves your problem. But if you want to describe your architecture a little that would help others pin down want you're trying to do. -

I have two sons with ipod touch 4th gen. One has access to our wifi, the other does not. Any ideas????
Try manually entering/searching for your wifi access point under the "Other" option. Also, if you have lots of devices connected to your wifi, you may have reached your limit. (e.g. the airport express has a max of 10 while the basestation may have 50. Check your packiging on whatever router you have, may help.)

I have a 3 year old MacBook Pro with MAC OSX 10.6.8, iPhoto ’09 version 8.1.2 and have downloaded two software programs: one is Aperture 3.2 and the other is Photoshop Elements 9 (which I got from a friend who didn’t need it).
I am totally happy with the way iPhoto organizes my photos and how I can work with iMovie to create slide shows with music from iTunes, etc.
I have been shooting mostly high resolution jpegs and I continue to learn more and more about photography, post processing etc. I realize that the small adjustments I can make in iPhoto are good, and are adequate most of the time. However, a have started to experiment with shooting RAW images and would like to go the next step, ie. post processing.I am totally technically challenged and need SIMPLE, INTUITIVE programs and am certainly NOT anywhere ready for Photoshop CS whatever!
After having these programs sit on my computer, I decided to try to see if I could figure them out. When I opened Aperture, this is what first comes up.

I have heard horror stories about moving your entire library to Aperture, ending up with 2 libraries, etc. etc. hence my previous reluctance in attempting Aperture. In addition, many of my photography friends are saying: Go with Lightroom 3.....you’ll love it!
So here is my dilemma. I don’t want to mess around with my iPhoto library. All I want to be able to do, is to isolate a few photos, export them to Aperture, Elements, and work on them there, then bring them back into iPhoto.
Can I do this? Should I forget about Aperture and Elements and look at purchasing yet another program like Lightroom?Export those few photos via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option with Kind = Original to the Desktop. Then import them into the Aperture library. That would keep one copy in your iPhoto library and another in your Aperture library to edit, etc.
You can use Photoshop Elements 9 from within iPhoto as your editor of choice. However, if you edit a raw file in iPhoto with PSE9 the resulting edited version must be saved outside the iPhoto Library and imported back in as a new file. For editing jpegs just do a Save (not a Save As) and it all will be kept within iPhoto.
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note: to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

You don't have to do anything with the first iPod that you don't use anymore. If you are planning on keeping it, put in a drawer in your house and forget about it.
You don't need a second account to use with the new iPod. I use one Appl e ID and iTunes library for two iPods, and two iPad. I have different content on all four devices. You can select exactly what you want to sync to each device and it can be different content on all devices.
