Cpu is burning because of Football Manager 2013

Hi Guys,
I have Mid 2012 Macbook Pro i7 2.9 Ghz 8GB, 128GB OCZ Vertex 4 SSD. I install Football Manager 2013. When the match simulation run, cpu start to burn, fan is working so fast, It's very hot when I touch upper keyboard. It's turning normal temperature after shut it down. it's never ever happen before. I dont play a game on this macbook. I installed first time this game. Could you help me what was the reason for that?

troubleshooting application performance can be very hard.
i would recommend starting by gathering some information on the system. With perfmon verify if you are running into resource depletion (high cpu usage, low on memory, disk queu high.) try to find culprit processes using process explorer (or taks manager).
Please note that a cpu hitting 100% is normal behaviour. it indicates it is being used. if it keeps on 100%, this ususally tells us the cpu is the bottleneck. If the issue does not appear in a similar configuration, it also might be the computer needs
to do more work due to underlying stuff like antivirus scanning, disk IO slow, outdated drivers,...
CPU's have very different raw performance depending on type and generation. Check the hardware installed, check it matches with other test systems. Check what other processes arer running too.

I'm considering bying the new Macbook Air 13'' but i'm confused whether to go for the Intel Core i5 og i7 processor and with 4GB ram or 8GB ram? I will use it for school stuff, web browsing and for gaming Football Manager 2013. Which one should I go for?

i5 should be able to handle it, however as you know MBA isn't a gaming laptop. So you can't expect the best results. Will it run smoothly? Reading some of the reviews, it's not that terrible. However if you play football manager often I would upgrade to the i7. For occasional gaming, I would definitely stick with i5 because of better battery.
Tbh, I'm not much of a gamer. But I use Final Cut Pro, photoshop, and do other type of intense tasks.
I decided to go with the i5 for myself and spend the $150 on something else (like external drive, monitor).
Anyways to answer your question, it depends on how often you play. If you play 24/7 the upgrade will be worth it.
But for occasional gaming, again I would stick for better battery :)
(But external battery can be purchased vs you won't be able to upgrade to i7.... Just a random thought..)

When is football manager 2013 coming out? I am really confused!!!

I have been hearing many rumours that football manager 2013 is coming out today, some have said 12 (midnight) what time zone? Uk or USA? Or what I really want to know when it's released!!!

Now, about the techincal part...
The game was made by using Flash CS5.5 and Flashdevelop.
After a month of design, it took me about 9 months to write 75.000+ lines of as3 for building the game (about 2.4MB of source code).
Seen that I have an eight-hour job, I had to write it in the evenings, in the weekends, during the holidays... and so on... it was really hard, but, in the end, I liked it.
The musics and the sound effects (and some additional ideas) were made by a friend of mine, nickname Composer, nick-nomen omen :-)
The UI was made by me and some additional graphics by another friend of mine, Darkuncle.
And the translation in English was done by a third friend, Cug.
We spent also more than a month to test it and to balance it.
Finally I submitted it to the Apple Store and it was approved yesterday.
I have to say that I'm pleased by the AIR runtime but not because I was able to animate a lot of sprites and so on (the application is a strategic game and although there are some animations, these are mostly marginal).
I'm pleased because my appication does a lot of computations and it uses really a lot the SQLite engine.
For example, when the game starts, the user can choose to generate randomly the datas: this means about 100+ teams, 2000+ players and about 3000-4000 inserts and updates on the db!
And with AIR this is always plain sailing!
And obviously, I'm really pleased by the fact that with a few changes (really!) I was able to export the game for iPhone/iPad and for Android: when the so called internet agencies will really understand this, Flash will live a second youth!

Business Contact Manager 2013

Where can I find or locate detailed installation, setup, and or configuration information for Business Contact Manager 2013?
Our existing shared database is located on a workstation but I would like to install and setup BCM Admin Tool onto one of our servers.

I am also having trouble with BCM/Outlook 2013 on Windows 8.
We were previously running BCM/Outlook 2010 with no problems at all. I then upgraded to OUtlook 2013 and BCM no longer worked. After many attempts and suggested remedies BCM 2013 is still not working.
The problem I currently have is that when outlook starts BCM is not there because the add-in has been disabled (both BCM for outlook and BCM loader for outlook add ins). I can go into the addins and enable them and BCM then works, but when I close
and re-open outlook the addins are once again disabled.
Also, when the addins are enabled and BCM is 'working', the BCM icon or title does not appear in the Peek bar (lower left hand side of outlook interface), I only get a folder.
I have tried the Regedit fix - no luck.
I have run the BCM2010-V4C-x86-en-US.exe patch - no luck.
I have installed the BCM 2013 tools on the server (shared db) - no luck
I have uninstalled all office and bcm instances from the machine and reinstalled only office and bcm 2013 (BCM2010-BCMSetup-x86-en-US) - no luck.
Can someone from Microsoft please assist with this issue as I have spent nearly 3 days trying to resolve it.

Because program is running successfully in many machines and problem is coming from a single machine, so we are not able to find out exact root cause. Maybe it relates to Windows Program/Windows Patch/
Anything Else.
As this issue is coming on client side and it has become critical to find the solution. So kindly let us know possible solution for the problem.
For any kind of input which can assist us to resolve the issue.

Release Management 2013 Server Web Site throwing "Data at the root level is invalid..." error after applying RM 2013 Update 4

I upgraded our RM Server from 2013 Update 2 to Update 4. During smoke testing, I discovered that the RM approval website would get stuck and display a loading wheel when showing the list of releases. After rebooting the server and uninstalling and reinstalling,
I eventually got it to load the web site just fine, however the windows event log is displaying thousands of instances of the same error (about once a second).

Reset the SMC, as per > Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
3. Wait fifteen seconds.
4. Attach the computer's power cord.
5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
Then zap the PRAM/NVRAM as per > About NVRAM and PRAM
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
3. Turn on the computer.
4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
6. Release the keys.
Then retry the Disc Drive.

I recently tried to burn some photos to a disc. It did not work, but then I ended up with a .fpbf folder on my desktop. Can't trash it, and when trying to burn again, I get this "... can't be burned because the original items can't be found". Help???

I recently tried to burn some photos on a CD. For some reason, It did not work. Now I have a .fpbf folder on my desktop. I can't seem to get rid of it. I tried dragging it to the trash, but then I get a box asking my to type my password it, so Finder can make the changes. Doing so, does nothing at all. And when I try to burn another CD from the same .fpbf file, I get a the following message: "There are 35 items that can’t be burned because the original items can’t be found. Skip the items and continue burning?". When I skip and continue burning, nothing shows up on the CD. In the meantime, the .fpbf folder is still in my desktop. I tried changing the aliases on each pic, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas of how I can remove this folder from my desktop?

Thank you for your detailed explanation but something is seriously wrong with my computer. Although the method you have described is very similar to the one I tried in step 2 from my second post, I have since "done things" which may have complicated matters—or suggests that my computer has a more serious problem.
Here's what I did:
1). Installed Onyx and discovered that I had a .plist file (com.apple.iphotomosaic.plist) that was causing a Syntax error: "Conversion of data failed. The file is not UTF-8, or in the encoding specified in XML header, if XML." After doing some research online, I was given the understanding that downloading the iLife update 9.0.3 (I installed the more recent version, 9.0.4) would solve this problem because it would also fix some system issues. So, I downloaded it...and when it didn't solve the problem, I decided to just deleted that .plist file.
2). I read your knew post and decided to follow your directions, even though I realized they were basically the same steps I followed in the 2nd method I mentioned earlier. I say "basically" because, for some reason, after inserting a blank disc, my computer does not open the disc in the Finder. Instead, it places the blank disc's image on the Desktop, even though the Finder's Preferences and the System's Preferences are set to have it open in the Finder—nothing should be on my Desktop! (Note: When transferring the items (all folders) I want to burn to the blank disc, I did not use the Option-Click-Drag method as before, I used the Click-Drag method, which created the curved arrow in the lower left corner of each item.)
Now, for the result of "method 2," the method we basically have in common, the computer goes through the burn stage but, in the verify stage, tells me that it is unable to verify the disk, suggests that my DVD may be unreliable and that I should try another disc, and then tells me about some "fork" (?) error (-43).

If they were songs you purchased from itunes, try redownloading them from your purchases...
if that doednt work, make sure the optuon to copy files to itunes media folder is checked in settings, then find and download from the net. and re-add them to your library

Cannot delete login item "You cannot change this item because it's managed by your system administrator"

We migrated a server (ldap and file serving) to some new machines, which have new names. We've got all of the login and file sharing functionality working on the new machines, but wherever we have a mount of a share in the Login Items for a user, we can't get the old machine out of the Login Items. It's not fatal, but it does make login take a lot longer because it has to fail first.
We can mount the share from the new server, and save THAT in a NEW Login Item just fine -- it's just that when you click on the old defunct one the minus sign is greyed out, and the mouseover says "You cannot change this item because it's managed by your system administrator." There is a yellow triangle next to the item in the list. Went into the user's ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist and it's not in the file. The /Library/Preferences don't have anything that looks like a plist of the right name.
Where do I find it and how do I get rid of it?

In response to ManishBhatt94's post today, I may have some information that may be useful to you. I called Microsoft's 800-642-7676 and spoke with a technical representative with questions pertaining to my particular issue. I also have friend that has the
same issue with her computer running windows 8. A representative from my ISP told me how to go into 1)Tools, 2)Internet Options, 3)Connections, 4)LAN settings and uncheck the proxy settings box. However after restarting or shutting down my computer it reappears.
It will also reappears while I play games on Facebook not allowing me continue until I go back into the proxy settings in LAN and uncheck the box AGAIN and AGAIN. A local owner of a computer repair shop told my friend that it was a virus. After speaking with
Microsoft today I was told the same thing/it was more than likely a virus on my personal PC at home. As most people likely do, I use wireless internet in my home on the affected computer. Solution; as suggested by Microsoft rep was to have the virus
professionally removed either by someone or to use their remote service for a fee of $149 which comes with several guarantees and does not require you to re-install software or documents. I hope that my response was of some help to you. I also kept trying
to fix this problem but wasted a lot of time. He also suggested to Google the proxy problem to see if ANYONE has any alternatives to fixing this problem!

So, I tried the iDVD and got the same error message.
Can anyone out there help me? I've tried both a DVD - R, and a CD.
I made a short 2:20 minute presentation from iMovie and used the "share" to iDVD, then to iTunes, then I tried exporting it to Quicktime and saved it on my desk top. That is when I tried burning by opening the blank DVD-R in the finder then draging the movie on to it and selecting the burn option. Thank you for your time in helping me with this frustrating problem.

I have had that same problem, but it was unrelated to any upgrade.
In my case the optical drive was simply failing, and I replaced it - it was a Powerbook, about eight years old.
It is possible that it's unrelated to Lion, as unlikely as this may seem, since you've just upgraded.
Optical drives seem to be the most life-limited component in these computers. The laser just seems to get weak with age.

First, try a different batch of recordable DVDs. If you still have problems, you may want to make an appointment at the genius bar and have it checked. The drive may be failing.

Hello - I am receiving this error code on all my Apple computers (iMac and MacBook) which have the most current Mac OS X 10.6.7. I'm a photographer and burn CDs frequently and out of the blue began having issues two days ago:

What is the remedy? Is it related to a recent update or will there be an update to fix? Since it's not simply one computer, gathering it's not the burn drive but software related...
FYI - Yes I've tried other brands of disk, etc. however, this is a part of my daily work-flow and have had no issues till a couple days ago.
