Hello Guys i want to apply oct 2011 cpu patch ,i searched on metalink for downloading patch software
its not showing any downloadable files for linux however i tried using unix version but its saying platform not supported
after i run it,please share link if any one knows for linux 32 bit (suse)

Not able to find out the OCT 2012 CPU patch for 11.2.0.3

I am trying to download the OCT 2012 CPU patch for the 11.2.0.3 to install on Linux x86-64 which is having OS of RHEL 5.7. I am able to get the OCT 2012 PSU patch which include the CPU patch too.
Database 11.2.0.3.4 PSU Patch 14275605, or
GI 11.2.0.3.4 PSU Patch 14275572, or
But I just require only the CPU patch. Can anyone provide me the patch number or some link where I can download the Oracle CPU patch OCT 2012

If I click on Critical Patch Update - October 2012 its takes to the window for selectin the database version (11.2.0.3). From there it goes to the Patch Set Update and Critical Patch Update October 2012 Availability Document [ID 1477727.1] which I had already checked.
There for the database products it shows the below option.

In the context of this thread, "cpu" refers to Critical Patch Update (CPU)

Is the oct cpu patch 2009 is bundeled in 10.2.0.4 patchset, if i install 10.2.0.4 patch is it not required to install cpu patch seperately ?

Since 10.2.0.4 has been release much before the CPU patch you're talking about, the patchset does not include it. You'll have to install the CPU separately.
By the way, why stopped on CPUOCT2009 and not go for the latest one CPUJAN2009 ?
Since CPU are cumulatives, you could install only the latest one.

Oracle cpu patch apr/july/oct/jan

Hi Guys,
Need you advise here.
Do you guys always apply the cpu patch upon released by oracle? Is it a good practise to do so?
Does CPU patch only consist of security fix or also bug fix?

It is recommended to apply CPU patches as soon as possible. CPU patches only fix security issues, they do not contain other bug fixes.

OAS 10.1.3.5 on Windows 64 bit, NO CPU patch for April?

After reading the CPU Advisory for April CPU 2011, it appears that for OAS 10.1.3.5 on Windows 64 bit, that there is NO CPU patch for April? It only shows a patch for Windows 32 bit. They do not mean that the 32 bit patch should also be applied on 64 bit Windows o/s having OAS 10.1.3.5? I just want to make sure I skip this CPU since I have 64 bit o/s.
I ask because the list of bugs fixed in the README for the 32 bit patch list 32 bit bug fixes , and then 64 bit bug fixes.

Somu, please check a topic 3 lines below. No, there's not a separate 64-bit installer, but there's a work-around albeit not supported by oracle.

CPU patches

Hi All
Env Oracle Apps:- 11.5.10.2 , OS :- Solaris 5.10.
Our database was created on September 2006. Since than none of the CPU patches appplied.
Now we are planning to apply CPU patches.
We will need to apply CPU patches from Oct 2006 till date ie 22 quarter cpu patches or directly we can apply the latest January 2012 CPU patches.

Yes. Apply Patch 10305995 to 10.1.2 ORACLE_HOME (if you are on 10.1.2.3) and Patch 10306007 to 10.1.3 ORACLE_HOME (if you are on 10.1.3.5).
What are all the patches we have to apply for e business suite R12(APLRIL 11 CPU PATCHES) listAll the patches are documented in the same Doc referenced by you (check all referenced docs as well).

CPU Patches to EBS

Hello :
I have successfully upgraded the system to latest patchsets. The database is already on 11g. The only thing which is pending now is the CPU Patches.
I know that the Database and the Application tier CPU patch is cumulative where as the EBS suite patch is not cumulative.
For me to apply the EBS suite CPU's I need to know the current CPU patch applied to it. If I know this then I can probably list all the CPU patches that needs to be applied to the system.Is there any way or query that I can use to get this information.
Please advice any good reference material to carry out this patching. I want to merge all the EBS patches together and then apply it in one shot.

Oracle Database 10.2.0.3 CPU Patching

Hi
Could you please let me know that i can apply the latest CPU patch (7631956) directly on this oracle database version 10.2.0.3 on windows-32 bit or i have to start applying one by one old patches from two years back on wards?
