CPU Support List for MoDT boards

Hi!
I can't find such info on the site and support staff seems to be too busy to answer me.
Anybody knows full lists of CPUs compatible with the following boards: 945GT Speedster-A4R, 915GM Speedster-FA4?
I'd like to buy a cheap used CPU but I need to know for sure what CPUs are supported.
Thanks.
Regards,
Vitaly

Thank you, but actually this is the kind of information that can be found on the site as well. It gives some clue, however is not a CPU compatibility list. Core names are not official and are never mentioned on Intel site. Today, normally CPU compatibility list would include processor #s and required PCB and BIOS revisions.
915GM Speedster-FA4 has been designed for Centrino.

945GT Speedster-A4R has been designed for  Core Duo (478 pin)

Both of them are old enough, so don't worry about BIOS revisions and other similar things.
cheers

I guess Intel has the final samples with the manufacturers ...
Now to save up for the CPU upgrade, the probable PSU upgrade, probably a better HSF or CPU cooling system, memory, etc...
But how can I test my system upgrade readiness before the 1 yr warranty expires?

  • FM2-A75IA-E53 CPU supported list is missing

I read the subject about how to know the CPU supported by the Motherboards but in the case of FM2-A75IA-E53 motherboard there is no SUPPORT -> CPU SUPPORT in the product page.

I think (hope) they are revamping them because they are definatly missing.
Contact msi for this information for now.

  • G60-519WM motherboard bus speed, CPU support list

I was given this laptop in 12/2010.  It of course has the celeron 900 in it with an 800 MHz fsb.  My question is what bus speeds does the mobo support and where can I find a list of supported CPUs.  The only semi-reliable info I found suggested upgrading the cpu with a t9600 that has a 1066 MHz fsb.

    Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook...
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01550108.pdf
Chapter 1, page 1 shows the list of supported processors.
I am concerned that the processor you have is not listed in the manual.
If the motherboard in your notebook has the Intel PM45 chipset (which it should), it can support one of the listed processors that has a 1066 MHz FSB.

  • CPU Support for 945P Neo5-F

I have read the CPU Support list for 945P Neo5-F. My question is do you have do a bios upgrade to run any of the CPU's listed or will they run with the factory bios. Will a CPU with a CPU code not listed work?  Board is in the mail. don't know what bios is installed. Looking to pick up a CPU before the board gets here, want to make sure it will work.  Don't want to buy another CPU just to install a Bios update.
    Thanks Senkoboy .......

And here I allways thought Celeron for the most part was the lower cost versions with less cache memory than the Pentiums. Like the Sempron compared to Athlon in AMD.

  • SFF 8200 CPU support

Hi, I cant seem to find a complete CPU support list for this model (unless it is strictly what the spec. options are). So I guess my question to be more specific is are ivy bridge CPU's supported, or failing that a i3 2130? Or for that matter any sandy bridge CPU?

  • I3-2120T (SR060) CPU support

    Hi,
I just realized that I purchased Intel i3-2120T CPU which is not on support list for H61I-E35(B3) board.
When I try to power-up board only sign of life is fan. I guess this is because this CPU is not supported by BIOS.
Should I try with latest available BIOS?
Is there a way to flash this motherboard if CPU is not supported?
I guess MSI is planning to release BIOS which will support this i3 processor...
    Thanks!

You would need to flash BIOS with a known working supported CPU or take/return to vendor purchased from or to a local shop to get it flashed.
What is the current BIOS on the MB? Number on sticker on BIOS chip. Last 3 digits is BIOS version: 500, 510 or 520.
Seems to me it should at least do something as it is just about the same thing as 2100T. Only difference I noticed was 45 vs 46 multiplier for minimal core speed increase. It's probable you would need 5.2 BIOS though.

OK someone got it to work, but had to adjust the VCORE before using it, I consider something official when I don't have to do that, there are a lot of users out there that don't overclock, I'm one of them, I know how and I've overclocked this 7750 to 3.4GHz stable with stock cooling, but I'm happy with 2.7GHz stock for now. I'll be upgrading to the the 980a - G65 soon anyway, not going to blow money on a 955 now, will wait til both the board and CPU come down in price.

  • K9A2-CF CPU Support update

    Hi!
Have read a lot of post stating that the K9A2-CF has to be V2 to cope with a high wattage CPU.
Not being sure what to think of this since MSI now have only one list for CPU support stating that all CPU's are supported now, I contacted MSI support and got the information that my K9A2-CF can handle them.
Searched some more and only found the V2 in US. In Europe and Global sites there is no such MB just the "simple" K9A2-CF.
Just wanted to do an update on it since I've seen no other mentioning about it. (I might have missed it if there is, searched through the forum though without finding any)

That 'CPU Support List' is for the K9A2 CF V2 only, eliminate any 125W on the list for the V1 MB. If your MB does not have K9A2 CF V2 like in this pic do not use 125W or highly OCd 95W CPU. Read the thread that Russ-xp has the link to. It was a bad idea for MSI to sweep the V1 under the carpet and hide it like it never existed. Doing that for sure is going to end up with more dead V1 MBs for people that don't have the sense to ask about it like you have. I guess they'll just replace the V1 with the V2 under warranty when needed and leave it at that but that's just my way of thinking. The earliest V2s had a sticker like this in the pic.
So, what the support team have told me is wrong? That's the only conclusion I can come to since I do NOT have the above mentioned sticker on my board.
Have once again contacted the support team, waiting for response now.
Thx for the replies, actually missed that post by aardvark0

  • 790xt-g45 CPU Support

i want to buy Phenom II x4 980, does this mobo support it? i did'nt find it in CPU Support List (but there is almost same 965), but may be it's just because this mobo too old to update information...

that board if it isn't listed then its ether failed or they havent tested it on the board so either way its not garenteed to work!
if it doesn't work on the board then you wasted your money getting one but it might work only someone who has that board and has tryed the processor in it will know!
just did a wide search for that boards suppoted processor that work on it and no mention of the phenom 980 working on it so i would say the board cannot work with that CPU!

  • B85M-G43 CPU Support

Hi all I'm thinking to buy mobo B85M-G43 along with celeron g1820.
The problem is that in CPU support list there is no celerons but in spec page I see this
    Supports 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 / Core™ i5 / Core™ i3 / Pentium® / Celeron® processors for LGA 1150 socket
It is intresting because all other mobos with b85 seems to have celeron suppot in official msi cpu list.
If there is some tech guy form msi in this forum could you check this?
And if this mobo doesn't support this cpu what all you could recommend with similar price and features?
    Thanks
