CQ5 server is responding very slow?

Hello,
CQ5 server is responding very slow, when I start to create package through package manager and I am creating package for a DAM and its responding very slow.
There is only one user accessing server.
when I started to create package it may be opening lot of CRXSession, I checked using below command
jmap -histo:live <pid> | grep CRXSessionImpl
And it show me more than 110 CRXSession is opened.
Can any one tell me how we can optimize server, how we can close CRXSession automatically, even I run garbage collector still getting same issue.
Regards,
Satish

For starters answers to a few questions would help:
1. What kind of hardware config is in place? (RAM, disk-space)
2. Which OS are you running instances? Are both author and publish on same machine?
3. Have you checked error logs?
From the problem description you have provided 1st seems to be the main issue.

  • Server Admin is very slow to respond

I have a brand new server that I'm doing a fresh install of OSX Snow Leopard on and I'm running into an interesting problem. For some reason, server admin is VERY slow to respond to any service changes... when I first load server admin, it takes 3 minutes to display the services. When I change a service, I get the spinning wheel in the right hand corner of the server admin pane for up to 10 minutes before I can click "save" ("save" is grayed out while the wheel on the server admin pane is spinning).
I've run OSX server from Tiger through Leopard and have never seen server admin be this slow.

    You didn't need to reinstall.
I've confirmed this issue. Stop the firewall by launching the Terminal, and run:
    sudo serveradmin stop ipfilter
Quit Server Admin if it's running (and unresponsive) and wait at least a couple minutes.
Re-launch SA and disable Stealth Mode for TCP/UDP.

  • Server working but very SLOW on MacMini

I've installed 10.5 several times now in the 3 different modes just to familiarize myself with it before i setup everything else. Now after the initial install and config as an advanced standalone server i did a software update and then added the services I need for the moment:
    afp
    ftp
    mysql
    web
and all works fine, the webserver with php5 and mysql (including phpmyadmin), ssh, no problems. However, all the connections to the server via the Server Admin or Workgroup Manager take a very long time. Launching Server Admin takes about 45 sec until the main window is displayed, then i get the spinning beach ball for around a minute, authenticating to my server so i can change setting will take up to several minutes after i click 'Connect' (with the beach ball spinning again). A refresh or clicking save after having changed options of any of the services or server also take close to or more than a minute.
I've tried using the FQDN (mydomain.net) or the myserver.local or the IP adress of the server but there is no difference in speed.
Login into the server via FTP and Navicat (mysql admin tool) also takes a very long time, around a minute or more.
Login in over SSH from another machine on my network (by using the FQDN) is very fast however, only takes a couple of seconds to display the password prompt and login.
Is it just the MacMini which is underpowered, i couldn't detect any processing overload on this Core Duo 1.83 with 2 GB of RAM (and nothing else running).
This slowness was the same whether i installed a 'Standard' 'Workgroup' or 'Advanced Server'. In all cases the web-server and mysql respond very fast.
    Thanks for any help

I'm running my leopard test server on a 1.6 mini with 2gb of ram and it's not exactly a speed machine but I wouldn't call it slow either, certainly not what your describing. I'm not running mysql or FTP though. I'm primarily using it for podcast producer but I've got all this running in my various tests:
    AFP
    iCal
    iChat
    Mail
    NetBoot
    NFS
    OD
    PP
    Quicktime Streaming
    SMB
    Web
    Xgrid
I'm not really sure what to tell you. I have SQL running on a windows box and it slows down windows significantly. Did you play with it at all before turning mysql?

  • Crystal Reports Moved from one file server to another - very slow opening

    Hello,
I am new here, and I am in need of a solution. If I am not in the correct forum, please advise.
Our crystal reports were moved from an old file server to a new file server.  Once the old file server was shut down the reports opened very slow in Designer and in our 3rd party application.  Our server team determined that the reports are still attempting to connect to the old file server.  If the old file server is brought online or dns is changed to reflect another machine that it can make a connection to, it opens with no delay.
For some reason, not every report is affected.  Most of the reports are Crystal 8.5, but I have some Crystal XI reports that do the same thing.  I can't find any reference in the reports to any file server/location....
I need to resolve this issue on the Crystal 8.5 version due to the application that we are running.
Is there a way to fix this other than to recreate the reports (I have over 400 of them)?
Any assistance or advice is appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Nancy

    Hi Nancy,
The server info still needs to be updated. Are you setting location for each subreport also?
Possibly this registry key will help, I only have CR 2008 installed so you'll have adjust for what ever you are using:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions - VerifyStoredProceduresOnFirstRefresh = No
    and
    VerifyStoredProceduresOnSetLocation = No
    And
    VerifyWhenDBDriverUpgraded = No
    And
    ViewOutOfPlaceSubreports = No
Close CR designer before making any changes. And the usual warning about modifying the registry.
    Thank you
    Don

  • Macbook pro 2010...cursor is acting crazy jumping everywhere and responding very slow...thought it was the track pad but I plugged in a mouse and it still does the same thing...is this a virus?..and can someone please help?...

My Macbook pro is acting Crazy....the Cursor just keeps on jumping everywhere and not responding when I use the trackpad....Even when it does respond it is very slow...I thought it was the trackpad acting up but realized it wasnt when i plugged in a mouse and it still did the same thing...this happened one other time and shortly after my computer froze...I had to restart for it to work but restarting dosent help this time...can someone please help?...Is this a Virus?

It is not a virus.  See my Mac Virus Guide*.
As to what it might be, that's hard to say.  You should try some basic troubleshooting...  Repair the hard drive with disk utility.  Boot in safe mode and see if it happens then, log in to a different user account and see if it happens there, reboot from another system and see if it happens.
Apparently some people have had this kind of problem caused by swelling batteries that push on the underside of the trackpad and cause all kinds of strange problems.  Is your machine's underside deformed at all?

I have two node Always-On Configured (sync & Automatic) SQL serves. Node 1 Performance is very good however as soon as failover happens on Node 2 the performace becomes very slow.

    Hi Experts,
Here I am getting the problem, my PRD server getting dead slow unexpectedly. Here we are using logon load balancing, appserver is running fine but DB server getting very slow. its only happening for particular time only 15 -20 mins. Please help us to rectify the solution.

In most typical cases of PRIV sessions and your ST02 screenshot is due to lack of memory on the system.  The red on ST02 means you are swapping, which is not ideal; I can't see the actual numbers but it looks like CUA is in the millions?
If your system was restarted recently then you need to update that buffer to be larger and lower the amount of swaps.  If you haven't rebooted/restarted the system recently, then you need to review how often the swaps are occurring and adjust to fit your needs.

  • HT1338 my mac book is responding very slow..mostly I'm surfing 3-5 pages at a time.i can't understand what to do?please help me

im new to mac book...in the start few weeks mac book was very fine i love it...but as time passed its getting slower & slower.what should i do.it has updated software MAC OS X 10.7.4 but still very slow.

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive may be failing.
If iCloud is enabled, disable it.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable. Launch the usual set of applications you use when you notice the problem.
    Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the page that opens.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
    Step 2
You must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way as above. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Post the 50 or so most recent messages in the log — the text, please, not a screenshot.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out before posting.

  • IPOD 80 gb is responding very slow

First time poster. I did a search and found nothing. My problem is my ipod classic responds very slowly these days. I'm guessing it's because I have about 70 gb of music on it, and it's just "full". But this is getting very annoying. The wheel is not as responsive and it takes several "brushes" with my fingers to make anything happen.
This is extremely frustrating when I have the earbuds in and I'm trying to raise the volume - I'll scroll the wheel, and scroll and scroll and nothing. After several scrolls it will FINALLY WORK AND GO TO MAXIMUM VOLUME AND BLAST MY EARDRUMS!.
Does anyone know potential causes and/or fixes?
    Thank you,
    Clem

I would try a restore. Despite having that much content it should still operate normally.

  • ACE 4710 responds very slow to CLI commands

I am expericing delayed responses to my CLI commands on the ACE 4710. The delays occur sporadically. I have check the cpu and memory and neither one appeared to show any abnormal behaviour.  Has anybody else experienced unsual delay with your CLI commands? If so, where you able to isolate and correct the problem? If not, any suggestions on where and how to look for the problem?

I am experiencing the same exact problem. CLI commands are very slow. Although, i dont get any performance issues for my application when i issue the "show run" or "wr mem" commands at CLI  i wait for over 1 minute to receive any output, commands like "show serverfarm" ,"show rserver" "show stats" are working fine. my resource usage is ok and cpu has no problems. The problem exists in all contexts of the specific ACE. I did a test by forcing the standby ace to become active and while the standby ACE had no problem in executing the command when it becomes the active one the problem shows up.  is there a way to troubleshoot this?
    Thank you in advance

  • Server Admin runs very slow on Server 10.6.2

After what only could be called a power disaster that brought our XServe down hard, when I run Server Admin on the XServe, it's dog slow...it works, but it takes forever to do anything. However, Server Tools installed on my Macbook runs it just as fast as ever. Does anyone have any suggestions besides reinstalling? As our server is still in the set up stages, a backup of it hadn't been made yet...
    Thoughts anyone?

The usual triggers for this (mis)behavior are a bad local DNS configuration within whatever is serving your local DNS, and potentially a firewall issue within the client.
If you've not messed around with your client firewall settings since this last worked, I'll bet on scrozzled DNS.
Verify your forward and reverse DNS translations and the correctness of your local DNS server set-up using the dig tool.
[My DNS notes|http://labs.hoffmanlabs.com/node/1436]; the set-up and verification of DNS on Snow Leopard Server.
As for auxiliary power, APC SMART-UPS 1500 series is a reasonable option for a less-interruptable power supply (LIPS) for an Xserve box and its usual array of companion direct-attached accouterments. And the USB connection from this model is recognized and honored by Mac OS X Server without add-on software; the box will shut down. (I'd look at adding LIPS capacity if you have a FC SAN and Xserve RAID or such, though.)
