Blackberry is popular in Iran despite sanctions-a great market for blackberry

Iran is considered the largest market for cellular phones in the middle east [guardian].
Blackberry z10 sales have started since February in the world. There is no official Blackberry store in Iran, but market demand has made importers bypass restrictions to bring Blackberry z10 products into the country 48 hours after the canada!!!
Because of recent sanctions by usa, the price of dollors became triple since last year and Iranians have to pay more money to buy a smart phone. salary of an engineer in iran become $250 per month !! (I used this example to let you know about the situation). So number of selling smart phones reduced %50 and unfortunately Apple and Blackberry lost a huge market in middle east.Three another companies (samsung,LG and sony) still remain in iran and by financial supporting of iran's government and good relationship with japan and s-korea they have good market.
In middle of February the price of z10 was more than $1500 in iran (equal to 6 months salary of an engineer in iran!!) but fortunetly the price have decreased continuously since march. The BB z10 is selling about $600 in market now. However, I belived that most of them are refurbished and is sold to us as new one!!
There is a great potential for selling Blackberry in iran. About %40 of iranians are under 30 years old (about 30 million people) and most of them so interested in loyal and American smart phones such as iphone.
After coming BB z10 to iran, many people prefer to use it to iphone. a lot of stores started to sell BB z10 and many seller said iphone placement will replaced by BB z10. but after 1 month many customers returning their Z10s and they wanted to sell it with cheaper price.They said all services was blocked in iran. it was not possible to update BB OS, you can't to buy applicaions from app store, you can't to use BB email,BBM ,.... . Many buyer complained that the GPRS is deactive by BB and wifi disconnected continual by BB sever. so the BB services that you can use iran is equal to Nokia 1100.
Itunes and google play also have been closed their services to iranians. However, a lot of way exists to use their service . For example by changing IP, using VPN or rooting ( or jailbreaking) mobile phones you can access ti itunes. so BB will lost a great market in the world. I read a news about returning BB z10 in usa. If BB had official service and store in iran (similar to samsung,LG,sony), they would sold more than 1 million smart phone in iran.
The focus of the sanctions has been on Iran's banks and oil industry, Iranian individuals and companies that Western capitals believe are assisting what they suspect is Tehran's drive towards a nuclear weapons capability. However I belived that eventhough sanctions made a lot of problem for iranians in iran, a lot of problem also has been made for western companies such as BB which interest to be iran market.
at the end I have some suggestion for BB company, If they want to sell their mobile phones in iran:
1. please let iranians install application from app world and let get updates (do not fear!! no body use them for nuclear prog ram )
2. please add persian keyboard to your os (you can add 5 letter to arabic keyboard to convert it to persian, it is not difficult).
3. please add the name of iran to your country lists and let us to register in your website.
4. find a local distributor in iran and import your device legal. government give importer companies dollar with cheaper price, so company can sell smartphones with lower price in iran.

 </h:form>I test it on my computer where I have tomcat 6 and it works very well, but when I put the application on the server where is installed tomcat 5, I have no movies and when I looked at the source page I saw that ${marketTest.videoName} wasn't translated to the real movie name.

EL in template text only works on Servlet 2.4 / JSP 2.0 and newer. So you need at least Tomcat 5.5. Tomcat 5.0 is Servlet 2.3 / JSP 1.2 and Tomcat 6.0 is Servlet 2.5 / JSP 2.1.
To fix this, use JSTL c:out tag. This problem is by the way not related to JSF.

RUMORED VERIZON GETTING LUMIA 920 and Samsung ATIV S

According to Phone Arena, one of their tipsters has informed them that Verizon will be carrying the Lumia 920, Samsung Ativ S, and the HTC 8X (which we already knew was confirmed). I sent an email to the Verizon Executive Assistant, or whatever her title is, that I spoke with a couple weeks ago. I gave her links to the leaked information so that she can see what we know, so that if it is not true, Verizon can step on it. I don't know about proof. It is out there somewhere if you are really into Java, which I'm not.
It is "common knowledge" that Apple is running all Java 1.6 updates while Oracle is taking over all Java 1.7 henceforth. Back in the day, Apple needed Java, but Sun didn't need Apple. Ergo, it was Apple's responsibility to provide Java. Today, the tables are turned. Sun is dead. Apple neither needs, nor wants Java. Cant install any driver for Hp NVidia gt230 on Touchsmart 600-1055

Last few years I bought a HP Touchsmart oversea when I travelled to US then I brought it back to Australia. First couple months it was fine then one day I turned on the PC then It is just black screen after the window 7 boot screen then restart after few seconds. It keeps repeating that process unless I go to Safe mode and remove its NVidia driver and replace with window standard driver ( Video Controller VGA compatible) then I can boot up the window normally but cant use any program that require the delicated graphic card. I have tried hard to find its driver from every resources that I can find on the internet including Hp website and NVidia webiste but still again no luck. for 3 years I still cant find the driver for this that can make it working. What happened? is it my graphic card physically fault or because the software isusse? I forgot to mention that I even try to use the DVDs that I orders from HP USA and try to factory recovery but it is still having the same issue. I try to install many different version of window in cluding win 7 32&64 bits, Window 8 pro 64 bits then STILL NO LUCK. So could anyone please tell me what happened and how to fix it cause as I am aware that HP australia not support for HP USA product and I dont want to see my expensive desktop become a brick.

Now just because you purchased the computer in Australia does not mean your warranty is not good in the US. I am providing you with a link to theHP Global Warranty and FAQs, which states the following:
HP Global Warranty covers HP products at the level of standard warranty offered in the country in which it is used. For example, a product purchased in country "A" and moved to country "B" receives the current warranty coverage provided by country "B" (if that product is marketed or supported in country B)
This means that your computer receives the same treatment in the US as a computer sold in the US. I would recommend you contact HP Technical Support to have your issue addressed.

Oracle DR Setup Problems / ORA - 600 /

Dear All,
Recently we have implemented DR(Disaster Recovery setup Using Oracle data guard in 10g, GUI configurations ) in our Production server. The DR setups are based on the Maximum performance with Realtime apply mode.
The configuration went fine and both servers(DR and ) were syncing fine together as well.
But unfortunately, there was a power failure in the DR site(Which is on the other network) and also the UPS also went down after some time, the real problem started here,
Once the DR server was down, after sometime we are not able to login in to the production system, Interestingly, both DB server and application server are running fine. But we are not able to login into server - SAPGUI hangs. There are no such error written in SAP level and but in oracle alert log, we found out ORA 600 error and also connection timed out for placing the archive log(log_destination_2) in the standby server(This is the DR server - And due to power failure, its not able to reach the server for placing the archive log file )
Temporary solution,
If we restart the production server, we are able to work continuously in the production system without any problem.
So, my query is that, what makes the production system hangs if DR server is unavailable and how it work if we restart the instance? Is this the normal procedure in DR setup? or its a bug in the oracle data guard or in the parameter log_archive_dest2?

Marketing attributes with free selection entry in Script IC Web 5.0

Hi Experts,
We are working with script in IC Web Client (CRM 5.0). Answers are updating marketing attributes. Next time agent is calling he has the information of the last call.
There are some information that requiere free selection of text entry. We can obtain such marketing attributes leavind the value field empty. This works fine for type "characters" or "date" of marketing attributes.
How can I obtain the update of such marketing attributes in IC Web Client?

Connecting LW4/600 PS to iMac G5.

I've read your response to L. Baran regarding using the LW.
I have two G5s. One the first version and the second on the iSight version and then there is a HP laptop. All are connected to the internet wirelessly via Airport Extreme station. I have a HP printer connected to the station and all computers can print wirelessly via the HP. I have a LW 4/600 just sitting there. If possible and from your response to Ms. Baran, it is possible, I want to use the LW so all of the computers can print wirelessly to it via the Airport Extreme station.
I have an Apple phone net connector. Can I plug one end into the plug on the printer and connect the other end with a phone line to the AE station hoping it will work. Or, do I have to buy some router that will connect the printer to AE station through the router. Asante has been mentioned numerous times. Use it as a connector between the printer and the AE station?
Any advice from anyone will be most appreciated.

The Farallon EtherMac iPrint LT is no longer made, but is readily available on the used market. Your connection description is basically correct. But the LocalTalk cable uses only a 4 position connector and cable (rather than the 8-position Ethernet connectors and cables). Because it uses only a 4-position cable, a telephone lead-in cord (wall jack to telephone instrument) is the usual cable of choice. It is also important to note that phoneNet requires a cord or terminator in each phone jack. The phoneNet device at your printer likely has two 4-pin phone jacks, and the second jack should hold a phone-jack 120-Ohm terminator for proper operation.

Pentax DSmobile 600 with Image Capture only sayd "No paper loaded..."

I was using Paperless to scan documents, but Paperless is not fully working on Snow Leopard yet. I re-installed the Pentax DSmobile 600 TWAIN driver tonight, but I still cannot scan documents into my Mac.
If I select "Flatbed" as the Scan Mode, I can get it to "Overview" a document quite nicely. But when I tried to scan it it doesn't go well. When I use "Document Feeder" as the Scan Mode, Image Capture just sits there saying "No paper loaded..."
A workaround is to "Hide Details" at which point it seems to start allowing me to scan again.
Is this a bug with Image Capture?
To reproduce:
* Open Image Capture
* Choose Show Details
* Select "Flatbed" as the scan mode
* Select "Document Feeder" as the scan mode
* "No paper loaded..." displays on the screen, Scan button disabled.
* Click "Hide Details" and you can Scan again.
