CR Server: Login loop when I run a report

I have CR Server XI installed on my server.  I can log into the Central Management Console and Infoview from the client.  I can load objects and run the sample reports.  I can set up users and security.  I can basically do everything, except run a report on my database. When I run the report, I get a prompt to log into the database, similar to the prompt I get when I run/refresh the report in CR XI.  When I type in my username and password (same ones I used to create the report), I just get another login prompt.  No matter how many times I type in a user name and password, I still get the login prompt.  If I enter an invalid username or password, I do not get an error message, I just get another prompt.Server OS = Windows Server 2003Client OS = Windows XP Pro (SP 2)Database = Informix: on a Linux (Redhat) box.Browser = IE 7 on client and IE 6 on server.  I have set up a ODBC link (under system DSN) on the Server (and the client) to connect to the database (the name of the link is the same on the server and the clients).  All tests I've run (from within the Informix SDK software) indicate that the link is valid and working.  I have run through the process on a couple clients, have gotten the same positive test results, and been able to query the database from the clients either through Crystal or MS Query.When I look at the report Object in the CMC, under the Process -> Database tab, I have "Use original database logon information from the report" selected.  The server and database fields are grayed out, but the values are what they should be (I guess).  The name and password are black, and I can change them.  Re-entering my user name and password results in the same error.Under the same tab, at the bottom it has "When viewing the report:"  I have "Prompt the user for database logon" selected.  If I change this to "Use same database logon as when report is run" then when I run the report I get "The database logon information for this report is
either incomplete or incorrect."Please help, and TIA. Marcotte

Did you managed to find a solution to this issue? I'm experiencing the same problem, and BO/SAPsupport have not been able to resolve it.

    Hi Jack,
    Please do post the server log file here so that we can try and find a solution for the problem you are facing.
    I had a problem a while ago with the app server too. While trying to run an application, after a few times, it would give me an error message saying the Application Server cannot be started. I rebooted my machine and thankfully it worked again. Just try this too and see if it works.
    If it doesnt we can go through the server log and try to identify the cause of the problem.

  • When I run a report from a certain website, it is in Excel format. Currently I have only the option to save it. I also want the option to open it. How do I get this option back? [SOLVED]

    In IE, when I run these reports, I have the option to Open, Save, or Cancel. In Firefox it just goes directly to a folder to Save, there is no Open option, which I need. I want to view the report immediately, not save it.

    I figured it out - Tools, Options, Applications. For Excel, change to Always Ask.

  • How to get SYSDATE in the header section dynamically when we run the report

    I have one more issue may i know how can i get the sysdate in the header section when i run the report.
    as we have the requirement like this
    In the header section
    Run Date : ("sysdate").
    How to get the sysdate dynamically in the RTF template, when i go across the google i found that header and footer section did not allow form fiields .
    So is there any way to do it.

    You cannot insert form fields in the Header section, but you can just insert the code to achieve this. For example: insert this in the header section to view the sysdate: You could format the date as you would like..

    Since you are new to BI publisher, search the forum, review the Report Designer's guide for BI publisher. You will find that most of your basic questions are answered there and there are examples as well.

    Diagnosis
    There is no entry in the assignment table for valuation model and rounding rule (V_T525S) for the return value  for feature SENOR on the key date 07.12.2007 for the selected calculation process 25 SGLS (country grouping, calculation process, process step).
    At least one valuation model must be assigned to each calculation process in view V_T525S.
    Procedure
    Make an entry for this calculation process and return value for feature SENOR in view V_T525S (Assignment of Valuation Model and Rounding Rule).

  • Client ADI App File Server Connection error when trying to publish report.

    Our users are having intermittent problems when trying to publish reports from their Client ADI process to Excel. They are receiving the error:
    "An error occurred while attempting to establish an Applications File Server Connection. There may be a network configuration problem, or the TNS listener may not be running. Nodename:"
    The problem is this issue will be present for a user and then for no reason that user will be able to publish reports again. Or several users will get this error and one user will be able to publish reports. The only consistency is when it errors out they get this message. The listener appears to be up and running as well.
    We are running 11.5.10.2 and ADI version: 7.2.12
    Any helps or tips would be appreciated.

  • When deleting running crystal report from BOE CMC, it leaves Oracle thread?

    hi,  Yesterday, we discovered an anomaly.  From BOE's CMC, I deleted a running Crystal Report instance. I believed that this would "cancel" the running report. However, later, it produced a message.  It apparently kept on running in Oracle until it finished.
    My question: when I delete a job from BOE's CMC, what else must we do to cancel it from continuing in Oracle? Apparently, it continued to be a "thread" in Oracle.
    What additional steps should I take or are there any setup steps?  Thank you.
    Our BOE version (copied from the CMC about screen) is: Product: 12.1.0 © 2008 Business Objects (or Product Version:      12.2.0.290).

    I'd just been trying instructions in SAP note: 1407795 when this reply came through.... I can confirm this worked for me.
    The error codes I found in the Windows Event viewer, both yesterday and today are listen below:
    RCIRAS0240
    RCIRAS0622
    RCIRAS0567
    RCIRAS0244
    The issues that are described in this post and the ones I have seen first-hand  when the screen hangs when viewing this report on-demand, or the report running for a longer than expected time when scheduled, are covered by the above error codes. 
    A known cause of the issues you are experiencing is that when these particular reports were created, a network printer was specified as the default printer, this printer may now either be unavailable, IP address may have changed, etc.
    There do seem to be two options available:
    Option 1 - Remove the printer driver dependency
    Open this report in the Crystal Reports Designer.
    Under the File menu, click on Page Setup.
    Select the No Printer option.
    Option 2 - Add or correct the printer that the report is designed with
    Open the Report in the Crystal Reports Designer
    Under the File menu, click on Page Setup
    Make not of the printer that is listed in the Page Setup dialog
    Log on to the BusinessObjects Enterprise Server that houses the Crystal Reports Processing Servers.
    Make sure you log in as the user account that runs the Crystal Reports services.  This is generally the account that runs the Service Intelligence Agent (SIA)
    Go to Control Panel and click on Printers
    Ensure that the same printer is configured on the server that is used in the Crystal Report
    In the printer already exists, try removing it and re-adding it.

  • Portal runtime error when i run BW Report

    When I run a BI report in Production, I get the below error. I have checked the System alias as well as Permissions too.
    Here one more point is - the same report is running fine in Development.

    Hi,
    In SP13, a new feature was released (RAI - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d0a4957d-7c71-2a10-3687-f38c78dfbe96) and the property is not ignored anymore so if for example SAP_BW is assigned in the property, AppIntegrator redirect to the BW ABAP backend instead to the BI7 installed on the portal.
    Unfortunately, there was a bug in the Role upload and in the Web application designer that was assigning a wrong value in the System property in case of BI7.
    Those bugs are already fixed -> SAP Note No. 1121962 & SAP Note No. 1124535 and in order to make it work the same way, you should run a migration tool that will replace the wrong values in the System property to SAP_LocalSystem -> see SAP Note No. 1128730.

  • Frame overlaps repeating frame when I run the report

    Hi
    I created a report manually. On my designer, I have a frame, on top of which I have a repeting frame with all the fields and labels etc. However when I try to run the report, I get the frame on the top as a result the information on the repeating frame is hidden and report comes out to be blank. What am I doing wrong here?
    Any help?

    If you have frames positioning like this, the bottom frame could take place of the top one:

    Solution is, move both to the left. If its not feasible, other solution is create another outer frame for the first one and maximize that to the left and don't show borders for that frame.

  • Error messages are being displayed when I run my report

    First of all reduce code by using logical operators like OR , Further you can use DECODE .
    Check Joins and use of indexes.

  • Continuous login loop when trying to purchase

    When I try to purchase a song, it asks me to sign in. After I enter my login information and click "buy", it tries to access the store, then asks me to "sign in to buy" again. When I enter my login information again, the cycle repeats. Therefore, it's not letting me purchase/download any songs.
    I am able to view my account information after clicking my login name in the upper right area of itunes, so logging in for other things doesn't appear to be an issue.
    The diagnostics tell me that the network and itunes store connectivity is fine.
    I have the same result with and without windows firewall active.
    Any ideas on what's causing the purchase/download issue and how to fix it?

    If someone else finds this thread with similar issues something to keep in mind is you might check to see if you are running a privacy or firewall program like NetBarrier. If you are that program may be affecting your communication with iTunes.
    I was having a situation where I was trying to access the upgrade to iTunes plus option in iTunes. I would enter my password over and over only to have the login window pop up over and over with no mention of a bad password, etc - only the login window over and over.
    I tried working with Apple support to find a work around. Reinstalled iTunes, etc. No joy. That was until I looked deep into my NetBarrier firewall software and found that under the privacy area, then under the surf tab, then under the Information Hiding tab there was an option to "Hide my AppleID when using iTunes mini store". Once I turned off this privacy feature my iTunes began to work normally.
    I was told by support that it probably was a firewall or privacy program affecting the connection but it took me a lot of searching to find the one checkbox that was causing the issue. And while this was a problem now - it was not in previous versions of iTunes. I am currently using iTunes 8.0.2 (20).
