CR: Subreport error data source Universe...

Dear All,
I'm working on SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 SP 6 Patch 2 and my data source for the analysis is an Universe. I've created my main report and designed a query in the main query for "National Sales" and I have Calendar Year and Division as my prompts for this query. For the next level I want to show sales in different regions and for this I've inserted a subreport and designed my query accordingly with two prompts Calendar Year and Division. During, the query design I had to link the Main report with Subreport and I did with available objects and then I did Parameters linking. This is for the first, time that I'm linking main report with sup-report. When I went to chart to link the Data I faced the following error:
1. Have I missed something while linking two reports?
2. In both reports/queries I've same prompts and I try to link them, have I linked them correctly? How to link main report to sub-report?
3. How to get rid of the above error?
4. How can I achieve following requirement, National Sale then Regional Sales and then selected Region's Zones Sales and then Selected Zone's Customers sales?

I am facing a problem on auto refresh, the report data source is SharePoint list Data Feed, I saved it my PC desktop when I set up auto fresh it fails then I moved the SharePoint list data feed "atomsvc" file to A SharePoint Data feed library then connected
to report started a manual refresh it was success, after next schedules it failed.
Error massage:
Errors in the high-level relational engine. The following exception occurred while the managed IDbConnection interface was being used:

A connection could not be made to the data source with the DataSourceID of '82f49f39-45aa-4d61-a15c-90ebbc5656d',

If you are using Claims Auth then this is a known limitation. Auto refresh only works under Classic Auth.

IDT ODBC Error - Data source name not found...

Hello,
In the IDT, I have created a successful connection to a Relational Connection to my SQL Server datasource. However, when I try to access the data in the Data Foundation, I get the error, "ODBC Driver Manager. Data source name not found and no default driver specified. I am trying to use a shortcut to the connection in the repository. I am able to make a local connection to this database using the same steps above but I'm only getting this error when using the respository connection.
I appologize if I have not explained this well or used the right terminology as I've only been using this tool for about a month with very little support. The support I do get does not know what this problem is as they are able to connect to it fine on their computer.

This is the product limitation.
Combination of 32-bit and 64-bit data providers in a Multi-source enabled Data Foundation is not supported.
Remove ODBC Drivers 32-bit for SQL Server from the user's workstation and Install ODBC Drivers
64-bit.

OBDC Data Source Error - Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Hello,
I get this error whenever I try to use the "Modify Microsoft Access Database" tab to update my
Access 2000 database after a conversion:
Unable to connect to target database.
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager]
Data source name not found and no default driver specified
Now, the weird thing is that when I log in as Administrator and go to the "Control Panel" there is
no "ODBC Data Sources" option to chose from. So I went to the "Microsoft ODBC Administrator"
from the "Configuration and Migration Tools" tab instead. I tried configuring "omwb_msaccess"
under the "User DSN" tab with both the name of my Access file, and the "small.mdb" file that was
in the omb directory. No go for either one. Whatever I try I still get the same pop-up box.
Question:
(1) What should I be putting for the "ODBC Data Source" when I try to Migrate my Access Database?
(2) Any other idea/configuration issue I might be missing that could do this? The process works up
to the Access Update point, and I configured the repository correctly.

Nope, I'd already tried both of those things. I checked again, but no go.
I think the problem may be that I'm not entering the right value in the
"ODBC Data Source" field on the Migration Workbench "Modify Microsoft
Access Database" form - the same one where you enter a "Username" and
"Password" for the conversion. What should I be entering here? What is
the standard filename?

Infa version 8.1, DAC 795. Plain vannila installation with SQL server. Both client and server installed in same machine.
DAC connectivity both with infa and oltp working fine. When ETL is run, Informatica session logs are giving following error:

ESS Error- Data source contains no columns which can be displayed

After the application of support packs, an error is observed in ESS applications where the data/content has to be displayed in tabular format.
On accessing Personal Data application, error message is displayed -
   Error Occured
   Data source contains no columns which can be displayed

I am running Essbase (9.3.1) Integration server on 64-bit Microsoft Windows server 2003 (SP 2) and I get above error when I am trying create an OLAP metadata catalog using Integration Service Console.

I think you may be right. I didn't run the configurability utility and I am running Essbase Server & Integration Server as console applications (not as windows services). The problem with the Integration server is there no console application window for it but there is one for Essbase Server which I had to enter the password. If I run the Integration Server again under Command prompt then I get a message saying that it has been already running on this machine but I cannot see any console window. Do you think if reboot the server this problem go away? I look forward to hearing from.

I am doing BI content activation for BI admin cockpit, from SPRO -- Activation of BI content of BI admin cockpit , i ran the activation but it got failed. The error message says:

This error is coming for data sources :0TCTPRCSVAR_ATTR, 0TCTBWOBJCT_TEXT, 0TCTPRCSVAR_TEXT and 0TCTBWOBJCT_ATTR.
I have applied the sap note 1110642 , 1110641 . also ran the program RSSM_SHIPDVERS_CLEANUP but did not able to find these info packages for this data spurces:

First of all Rather than using SPRO to install Admin Cockpit, its better to install it from Business Content, else many of your existing InfoObjects would get overwritten and you would require to revert them back.
2ndly, check if these DataSources are available in your source system. While installing from Business Content, the system prompts to log in to source system interactively and would install the DataSources in teh source system if they are not there already.
Also check what versions are your Source Systems on. Older versions may not have the DataSources while the new concept of Admin Cockpit is available in BI7.0 which goes well with ECC.

ERROR WHEN GENERATING EXPORT DATA SOURCE

I am getting an error when generating export data source for Info Cube. I'm creating an Info Cube based on already existed info cube. Literally I am copying all the settings of an info cube to new Info Cube. The scenario is to load the data from one Info Cube to the other. The creation of Info Cube from an Info Cube is successful. But the problem is when I am generating export data source the following error is occurred.
Error: Data Source 81c_svrr does not exist in source system B3TCLNT800 of version A.
what could be the reason for the error?

The problem is because of error in the Myself Connection , Check the Myself connection in the source systems and the activate and restore the connection and try, it should work..

Data source executive could not be found

Hello there, I have recentley did my first dynamic website
using coldfusion MX 7. After I uploaded all the files in the server
of godaddy.com on a window platform which supports cfm, I had
realised that all the DSN routes were still
C:cfusion7\wwwroot\database\executive.Users... so I changed all the
tags to D:\Hosting\executivemalta\database\executive.Users....
Unfortunatley I keep on receiving the error Data source executive
could not be found! I have also created an access database from the
godaddy control panel and located the database to a folder called
accesscf and changed the DSN route as instructed by godaddy.
Unfortunatley that didn't even work. Could somebody out there be
generous enough to help me solve this problem? The following is the

Gateway Service Builder and Data Source Boolean Mapping

I am using the service builder to define my gateway ODATA services ...
I have some data model fields which are booleans and are defined as type 'Edm.Boolean' ...
I am unable to map those fields to RFC ABAP fields with domain 'BOOLEAN' (char 1) ... I am always getting the error:
Data source attribute ACTIVE and model property IsActive have different types
Message no. /IWBEP/SBDSP_DM031
I looked at the help documentation and did some searches here but I could not find any specific information on the requirements for this EDM type ...

Did some further debugging and to me this seems to be a BUG in the standard SAP code which determines the EDM type for the linked attribute data.
Method 'get_ds_attr_edm_type' of class '/IWBEP/CL_SBDSP_UTILITY' creates an internal data type with the internal length ( = 2 ) for a type C length 1 in a unicode system ...
when 'c' or 'n' or 'x'.
create data lo_ds_dref type lv_ds_data_type) length lv_ds_int_length.
Then in method 'get_edm_type_from_ddic_type' of class '/iwbep/cl_mgw_med_edm_util' the length needs to be 'one' in order to potentially qualify as a 'boolean' ... but it is always '2' for a type C length 1 ... hence the mismatch ...

Data source - Invalid table name [66000-7]

I created UDO with master table and child table and when I tried to execute on it a dbdatasource query I got this error Data source - Invalid table name [66000-7]. When I tried this query on system table it works perfectly, so I don't know where is the problem (it looks like DBDataSources.Query doesn't work on user tables).

Hi all,
I am using Microsoft Accessas as backn'd. when I am starting my Presentation Services I am getting this error> Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

Your presentation services configuration file
$SADATADIR/web/config/instanceconfig.xml
contains an entry DSN which is the connection to the bi server
then inside your RPD(s) loaded by the bi server
you will have various connection pools in the physical layer
which connect to physical data sources such as MS Access
you can test a physical database connection
by right clicking a physical table
then "View Data" or "Update Row Count"

Add external data sources to Webi 4.1 (xls, txt)

Hello,
What is the best way (if any) to allow my users to add in their external data sources to Web Intelligence 4.1? So that they can join this with Universes or just create stand alone Webi reports from their own External sources like Excel spreadsheets, .TXT or CSV files?

Thanks for the feedback,
We are actually using 4.1.1 (service pack 1) and when I'm logged in as the Administrator with 'Full Control' to Webi I only can select the following data sources (see attached):
- No data source
- Universe
- BEx
- Analysis View
I can upload both Excel Files and Text Files to Webi no problem via --> Documents --> New Local Document but can't seem to access either of them by using any of the above data source selections.
With 4.1.1 is there another access level or privilege I need to enable to allow folks to get at external sources? If so, how?
