Hi,
I encounter an error when creating CR report with did any one ever got Unhandled exception in WebI server call when dragging objects into filter querys of query panel? This worked fine few days ago but failed now. I have check the BO servers are running and tried starting the machine, also not okay. Anyone can help. Thanks
Charing
Hello,
I get the same "Unhandled exception in webI server call" when I run my add more objects in my crystal report. I was wondering if you found solution to this exception. I will really appreciate if you can share the solution.
Thank you

Error: "Cannot access the web server" with BlazeDS Turnkey
Help! I'm new to Flex and BlazeDS and Eclipse. I was trying to setup a Flex Project using a BlazeDS/Tomcat server running from Eclipse on Windows XP per the example in flexbandit.com/archives/55#comment-269 and in (www.infoq.com/articles/blazeds-intro). I am NOT using the Eclipse Flex plug-in. I'm using Flex Builder for the Flex code.
Here's what I've done:
I installed BlazeDS and tested http://localhost:8400 - That worked.
I setup Tomcat in Eclipse. - That seemed to work.
I created a Dynamic Web Project in Eclipse - That seemed to work.
I created the bare-bones BlazeDS Configuration under the Eclipse project and then created a basic HelloWorld java class.
I added the destination in the “remoting-config.xml” file found in the c:/projects/workspace/ReportGenTool/WebContent/WEB-INF/flex” directory:
<destination id="HelloWorld"> <properties> <source>HelloWorld</source> </properties> </destination>
When I started the application server by clicking on the server's green play button in Eclipse and then tried to open localhost:8400/ReportGenTool, I got the 404 error : The requested source (/ReportGenTool/) is not available which according to the instructions is fine.
Next I created a Flex Project, but when I try to validate the new Flex project configuration, it gives me an error "Cannot access the web server. The server may not be running, or the web root folder or root URL may be invalid."
When I validated the server was running after setting up the BlazeDs Turnkey, I saw the BlazeDS page.
Now when I bring up http://localhost:8400 I get:
Directory Listing for /
Apache Tomcat/6.0.14
My eclipse project is named ReportGenTool and I've overwritten the WebContent directory with the META-INF and WEB-INF directories from the BlazeDS installation (C:\blazeds\tomcat\webapps\blazeds). According to Eclipse the server is running.
My Flex project is named ReportGenTool and is located in another directory away from the Eclipse project directory.
My root folder is: C:\Projects\workspace\ReportGenTool\WebContent
Root URL: is http://localhost:8400/ReportGenTool/
Context root is: /ReportGenTool/
Any idea what might be wrong? What didn't I configure that needs to be configured?
Thanks in advance.This is not working because your router has a direct to your web server that is not through the outside interface which is needed for nat to occur, for this to work you need to setup a loopback interface as nat outside and policy route traffic to there for your server traffic
Bu if your server is internal why do you need nat at all? Can you not use bind with views that might be simpler

EVDRE encountered an error retriving data from web server in PROD
Hi friends,
We are checking Evdre reports in BPC production system. We checked few application' EVdre input templates & reports and are fine.
But yesterday evening onwards we are facing below error message.
EVDRE encountered an error retriving data from web server. This message we are getting for all BPC applications in BPC production. There is no short dump in backend.
But when i checked in BPC developement there is no probelm.
We are on BPC7.5 NWsp04 and BI7.01.
In BPC, production,when i try to create evdre template(just after filling
information in evdre builder), immediately getting same error information.
I read few notes, did as per that but sill problem exists. In note, mentioned process dim of particular application and process application. Logout from bpc admin & excel. I did this and, that error message not received for upto 20min. After that i'm getting error. We checked communciation between ABAP layer and bpc, reset IIS also. Still same probelm exists.
Any suggestions pls.
thanks,
nareshHi frineds,
SAP OSS team resolved along with our basis guy.
Initially SAP supported notes:
1.1475233 and 1378705 Process all dimensions and applications.
2.1355954 Drop SAP temp tables.
3.1428764 confilict only if you use Oracle 10 g, if you don't, then forget it.
I used 1378705 and problem resolved temporarly, but still exists after 1 day.
There are different reasons for getting the error message. In our case, problem is at backend BW and, BW system running on HP unix OS.
Checked librfc32.dll in the
directory /usr/sap/BP1/DVEBMGS00/exe.
Executed the following MDX statment in MDXTEST transcaction, and it
executed in both the available instances.
SELECT
{[Measures].MEMBERS} ON COLUMNS,
[0MATERIAL].[LEVEL00].MEMBERS ON ROWS
FROM [$ZCO_CDPC].
Even i also don't have clue how SAP resolved this issue.

Generate causes SCC Query Error: Unhandled exception
Hi folks,
I have Robohelp X5, I am composing on my local machine with
saves going to an RCS server. I've pretty much figured out that RCS
has a problem with the skins in Robohelp, because if I go to create
a custom skin, I can create it in a non-controlled project. The
second I go to create a custom skin in the controlled version, I
get an infinite loop of the SCCQueryError message, Unhandled
Exception Message Boxes. I have to kill Robohelp, and reboot to get
out of the error message.
Whenever I go to generate the verson controlled project, I
get at least six of these error messages, but the project is
generated and I can open it and can't seem to find anything
missing. So, even though I get the errors in a generate, they don't
affect the ability to generate a project.
I've already checked to be sure that the RCS server is
accepting all the file extensions.. that was my first thought was
that it didn't like the .swf extensions.
Anyone else have or see this problem?
Thanks!Thank you Eilsa... It's a touch complicated, but I am working
off my hard drive, and Robohelp is installed on my hard drive. The
webhelp file that is integrated with the project is being pushed to
the a folder on the development server where RCS resides, and my
project files are being archived in another directory on the RCS
version tracker.
I get the SCC query error (which seems to be an RCS version
tracker error) right after I generate either a local or server
webhelp, about six in all. So I'm thinking that there is some file
extension that RCS is blocking, because I don't get the errors when
I do the same thing with a non-version tracked project.
Forget about trying to create any skins.. (and this is on my
local, too) I have to switch to a non-version tracked project to
create the skins.
But just trying to see if anyone else has seen the
problem.. -
Error ldap Java System Web Server 6.1 SP11 Windows
Hi,
I have installed a web server SP11 windows, and the global settings I have configured correctly a ldap server.
In User and Groups access to all users of the ldap server.
In my web instance, I have configure the application to autenticate to this ldap server:
acl "default";
authenticate (user,group) {
database = "default";
method = "basic";
prompt = "prompt";
When I go with a browser, appears the user and password window.
When I introduce user/password, in browser:

Thanks
JorgeI did not understand very well what you told me.
The directory server is on another machine ex(m1).
I have other web server on another machine ex(m2). This web server working properly (solaris 10). And when I access to application, ldap error does not appear.
This web server (windows, SP11), is installed on my PC.
The ldap configuration on this instance is the same as another web instance (dbswitch.conf):
directory default ldap://m1:port/<base dn>
default:binddn <bind dn>
default:encoded bindpw <passwd>
From my PC I can communicate well with the server ldap, I used a ldap administration program, and users and groups tab of my web server (windows).
I open a browser on my PC, and if I access the other web server works fine.
if I access to my web server, the ldap error appear...
There are commands to diagnose problems with ldap, something about the character encoding windows-unix?
Thanks in advance -
Good evening all,
I'm attempting to get Intel SCS integrated with SCCM 2012 R2 and I have both sides working, doing what they do best, however, I have issues when I try to mate the two. I started with a single server for the site and then tackled the Intel side with success,
then I added another site server to run the Out of Band service point and Enrollment point. Up until this point I've had no issues with certificate templates, or issuance of those certs.
I have re-read the TechNet documents a few times regarding the PKI setup, some Intel documentation and three step by step articles and non of them seem to differ so I can't understand why I'm unable to choose my "ConfigMgr AMT Web Server Certificate"
when configuring the Out of Band Management Component Properties page. The "AMT web server certificate template:" dialog shows my CA FQDN and CA name, but the certificate template list is always blank. I've tried this from both the remote
and local ConfigMgr consoles. The site servers have rights on the CA to manage and issue certs, is there something I'm missing that isn't in the documentation or buried somewhere that I missed? Is there a Application policy that should be on the
cert that isn't mentioned anywhere?
Thanks in advance!
TesfayeHi Joyce,
Thanks for responding. I pretty much have this error repeating in the log file and not much else:

I will look into this, but another hint would be greatly appreciated!

Problem with NAT? can get to web server internally but not externally
We are trying to setup our helpdesk software website so external users
can access it. However, we have been unsuccessful. We don't have any
issues accessing it internally from our 10.1.1.X LAN
We have had our ISP setup a public DNS "A" record of
customerservice.amerinet-gpo.com which resolves to 198.88.234.40 and that
appears to be working.
Next we added a NAT to our Firewall to take 198.88.234.40 traffic and put
it to the local IP of 10.1.1.23 which is our local address for the
webserver running the helpdesk software.
We also made sure that BM filters are allowing traffic on ports 80 and
443 to the local IP as well.
We have 4 other webservers (on a separate servers than our helpdesk
software website) that are exposed to the outside in this same manner and
all work fine.
The helpdesk website is on Windows 2003 server SP1 running IIS 6.0. Our
firewall server is NetWare 6 SP5 and BM 3.7 SP3.
I have tried to just telnet to the public IP of 198.88.234.40 on port 80
and it times out. I can't understand why, and have checked my entries on
BM and even deleted and re did them 3 times to make sure I didn't make a
mistake. I even have another web server on that block NAT'd the same way
and it works (198.88.234.36), if you telnet to it on port 80 it goes
right away.
What else can I try? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,

I was really hoping that we had the wrong sub net in BM for the
198.88.234.32 block! When I read your post last night, I thought that's
gotta be it...sadly I checked and it does have it as 255.255.255.240 when
I look in inetcfg under bindings. I even checked our Cisco router as
well to make sure it had the sub net correct since this is the first time
I've tried to use an IP above 198.88.234.36. The router looked fine as
well. Is there anyplace else that this could be wrong, maybe a config
file on BM or something?
Thx,

Problem with maxprocs 1 on Sun One Web server 6.1
I am using sun one web server on Unix with maxprocs set to 3.
This means that there are 3 jvms running my application under 1 instance. However I have certain components like an application cache that I would like to share between these 3 processes.
Additionally is there a way to configure the server so that requests from 1 session are served by 1 process only.
I am really stuck here. Have searched in all the documentation, but in vain. Would really help if some one of the Sun Developers could answer this.
Thanks
ChetanElving,
It is great to hear that there is no predefined limit on number of sessions but if that's the case why the webserver always starts with 1000 allowed by default. Are there any potential performance reasons behind it?
I have your link open in my browser for a few days now as a reference because I am experimenting with different Session Managers. I am trying to find a solution for BheegaChicken to be able to accomodate several thousand simultaneous sessions for his application.
We use V6.0SP2 and SP6 and for BheegaChicken's app specifically V6.1SP2...
I have spent some time in the past looking for the answers how to handle higher then 1000 sessions capacity on one instance and that was even before V6.1 was out. I have found the following reco that talks about optimal performance for sites using threads:
http://docs.sun.com/source/816-5690-10/perf6.htm#17580
*** start qoute
Multi-Process Mode
You can configure the server to handle requests using multiple processes with multiple threads in each process. This flexibility provides optimal performance for sites using threads, and also provides backward compatibility to sites running legacy applications that are not ready to run in a threaded environment. Because applications on Windows NT generally already take advantage of multi-thread considerations, this feature applies to Unix/Linux platforms.
The advantage of multiple processes is that legacy applications that are not thread-aware or thread safe can be run more effectively in iPlanet Web Server. However, because all the Netscape/iPlanet extensions are built to support a single-process threaded environment, they may not run in the multi-process mode, and the Search plug-ins will fail on startup if the server is in multi-process mode.
In the multi-process mode, the server spawns multiple server processes at startup. Each process contains one or more threads (depending on the configuration) which receive incoming requests. Since each process is completely independent, each one has its own copies of global variables, caches, and other resources. Using multiple processes requires more resources from your system. Also, if you try to install an application which requires shared state, it has to synchronize that state across multiple processes. NSAPI provides no helper functions for implementing cross-process synchronization.
If you are not running any NSAPI in your server, you should use the default settings: one process and many threads. If you are running an application which is not scalable in a threaded environment, you should use a few processes and many threads, for example, 4 or 8 processes and 128 or 512 threads per process.
MaxProcs (Unix/Linux)
Use this directive to set your Unix/Linux server in multi-process mode, which may allow for higher scalability on multi-processor machines. If you set the value to less than 1, it will be ignored and the default value of 1 will be used.
Tuning
You can set the value for MaxProcs by:
Editing the MaxProcs parameter in magnus.conf
Setting or changing the MaxProcs value in the Magnus Editor of the Server Manager
Note You will receive duplicate startup messages when running your server in MaxProcs mode.
*** end quote
If it is not relevant anymore please explane.
I am still interested to understand which of the SessionManagers is recommended by Sun to have optimal performance for sites with high number of sessions and using threads. It is not really obvious from http://docs.sun.com/source/817-6251/pwasessn.html. On top of this that's documented just for V6.1. What about V6.0?
Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Issue with Feature Deployment when DB and Web Server are on different machine
Hi,
We are trying to deploy our Custom Processes as site feature.
In Visual studio it shows Deployment Succeeded but feature is not available in Site features.
when we checked “Central Administration -> Manage Farm Solution” it shows below error.
Web Server : The solution was successfully deployed.
DB Server IP : Elements of type 'Receivers' are not supported at the 'Farm' scope. This feature could not be installed.
DB Server IP : Elements of type 'Receivers' are not supported at the 'Farm' scope. This feature could not be installed.
We are able to ping DB server from Web Server .
Also , we are able to add custom fields and lookup manually in web Server and those are getting reflected in DB .
Thanks,
AbhijitHello,
I would probably post this in the SharePoint forum as deploying features is a SharePoint process and not Project / Project Server (even if the feature is related to Project Server).

Help with location of SWF on a web server
Hello
I need help. I have a SWF file that calls other sWF files on
same folder on the web server. However, when i call the SWF in the
html object, i point to the relative folder where the SWF are:
<param name="movie" value="/folder_swf/demo.swf"
But this html is generated automaticly in PHP and the php
file in on the relative fodler bin. The SWF is loaded but when the
SWF tries to load the next SWF files, it does not find then (it
check on the bin folder instead of the foldeR_swf). In the
actionscript on the loadMovie i only have the "file.swf" , no path.
Can anyone tell me how to make this to work?Instead of the LoadMovie, is there a way to do it on the html
object declaration? Most of the times, i have to use swf made other
persons and i do not want to have all of the SWF files in the bin
directory because it is where are generated the dynamic html pages?
Thank you. -
I have various programmes that crash across the board with a similar error code like the following. I remember I've had this before, also on my previous MacBook Pro. I already tested memory using two second party programmes, and the (new Apple diagnostics..., which doesn't provide an overview over what's been found/not found??). I would tend to exclude the possibility that my memory fails always after half a year into a new computer. A (non-clean) reinstall (which preserved settings now (since Yosemite??), did not offer any relief. I am very disinclined to do a complete, clean reinstall, as it would take me at least a week or two to get the computer back into my work flow. Cleaning caches etc. did likewise not offer relief... Any suggestions? what is this apple main-thread and how to debug it? Again, this happens to at least 12 different programmes.

Report printing failed with "Servlet error: An exception occurred. "
Hi,
I use Apex 3.1 in Oracle Express edition develop few applications. In one of the application, when I enable report printing in stardard reports and try to print to PDF/Excel, the servlet error occur.
I had configured FOP in my server and I can download PDF in "interative report", but for stardard report, the report printing failed.
I can successfully print the reports in my others applications. Anyone know what could be the reason which cause an application failed to print the report.
Thanks
VincentDoes your application name have special characters? I heard that the app name has to be just letters and numbers for this to work...actually testing right now.

Reporting errors or exceptions back to the caller
I'm u sing OracleAS 10.1.3 and I'm exposing some of my PL/SQL procedures as web services. I was wondering what the convention is for reporting errors back to the caller. I read a little bit about Soap faults and some lack of support in the current JDev release.
Are soap faults the standard way of reporting handled exceptions? What about returning a record like:
type r_ws_response_string is record (
result varchar2 (4000),
return_code number,
error_message varchar2 (4000)
);... and having the caller check the return_code. Bad idea?
Any resources you can point is is appreciated (books/sites).
-Vahid PazirandehHi Toby,
Yes, I've come up with a working solution.
Essentially, I've made use of PL/SQL's OUT parameters and always reporting a status to the caller. At minimum, any procedure or function that I expose as a web service will have two out parameters: status, error_msg. The benefit of having a status being returned is that the caller can build logic based on different problems encountered, rather than just saying "an error occured". The error strings that you define are textual error codes, so they shouldn't change once you decide on an API.
The caller will always check for the value of status, if it is not 'SUCCESSFUL', then something is wrong. They can then log the value of error_msg so that their developers can figure out what went wrong later.
What's also nice is that the XML that's generated by JDeveloper looks clean when we're using one or more OUT params.
I don't know what the best way is to deal with this problem, but this works for me. :) Here's an example:
g_status_success := 'SUCCESSFUL';
g_status_bad_password := 'ERROR_INVALID_PASSWORD';
g_status_file_not_found := 'ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND';
g_status_unknown_error := 'ERROR_UNKNOWN_EXCEPTION';
procedure give_me_file(password varchar2,
status out varchar2,
error_msg out varchar2,
file out blob)
is
begin
if bad_password(password) then
status := g_status_bad_password;
error_msg := 'You entered the wrong password friend!';
return;
end if;
file := get_top_secret();
if file is null then
status := g_file_not_found;
error_msg := 'Your file could not be found';
return;
end if;
status := g_status_success;
exception
when others then
status := g_status_unknown_error;
error_msg := 'An unknown error occured. Please file a ticket.';
end;Regards,
Vahid Pazirandeh
