CR XI Developers Edition

I'm am trying to install the Developer's Edition of Crystal Reports XI and I get an error that says the file is not an .exe.  Can anyone tell me why this is happening and/or how I can get another good copy of the developer's edition.  I have a valid key code for this software, but it initially was a downloaded purchase.
Please I need someone to guide me.

Hello,
Check this link out. You may be able to re-download your purchase or contact Customer Service and they should be able to help you:

CR XI  Release 1 ( Version 11.0.x.x. ) is still available but it is past it's end of life.
What you can do is download the Trial version of CR XI R2 ( version 11.5.x.x ) and use your XI keycode to install it. R2 is close to it's patch end of life but will be supported.
Thank you

  • Coldfusion 8 Developers Edition not showing fckEditor.

    I just installed coldfusion8 developers edition on windows
    vista ultimate. I also have the fckeditor installed correctly on a
    local site. I know it is correct, since the same code runs on a
    production server as expected. When I look at a site locally, it
    appears like a regular textarea tag. Is the another setting in
    coldfusion administrator or iis7 that needs tweaking?
    Thanks!

    Help me understand here.
    You do NOT have IIS, which knows how to process HTML files and serve them up.  But you have installed CF as standalone (port 8500 by default).  Now, to my knowledge, CF serves CF-related files.  I don't know whether it's designed to handle HTML.  So if you place a .cfm file and a .html file into its root and navigate out to both of them, CF usually only is invoked if the file extension is a .cfm file (It is an application server, not a web server).  It would make sense that CF cannot "see" the index.html.
    Now, I know this is about seeing a .CSS file, but I'm wondering if we're having in essence the same problem.  You want the CSS file to be SERVED, but CF is just an application server, not a web server,  CF could read the contents of the CSS file, but again, it's not a web server, I don't think it will serve the file to the browser.
    For clarification, what do you mean by that a laptop "sees" the CSS file?  It's one thing if you tell a browser to manually OPEN a HTML/CSS file and you direct it to the location of a file.
    Also, what is the URL you are using to call this CSS file?
    http://localhost:8500/filename.css ?

  • Entering license information into CF8 Developers Edition?

    I have downloaded and installed CF8 Developers Edition.
    I currently own CF 6.1.
    I want to buy the upgrade to CF 8 and plug the license
    information into CF8 Developers Edition so I don't have to
    reinstall it. However, I can't seem to find anywhere within the CF
    Admin to accomplish this. I have search on the CF Forum and even
    contacted an Adobe Coldfusion Sales Rep., but no one can seem to
    know how to do this. The Adobe CF website indicates that this is
    possible.
    Thanks for the help.

    Open the CF Administrator and then click the I icon in the
    top right corner
    of the page to go to the System Information page.
    Add your license in the New License filed and click Submit

  • Stopping developers editing PL/SQL on the database

    Is there an option in SQL Developer to stop people directly editing packages that are on the database, let me explain why...
    Our PL/SQL is version controlled in a source control system, if someone wants to change it they should book it out from source control, edit that and compile. I don't want people going in and playing around with package source without booking it out of source control.
    Maybe there is an option already, if not can I request that one be added in future release.

    There is no such option today. To request it goto http://sqldeveloper.oracle.com and log it so we can track it.

  • SQL Server 2012 Developers Edition

    Will SQL Server 2012 Dev. Ed. work on Small Business Server Standard 2011?
    Thank youi
    Brian Geregach

    Hello,
    Yes, but since you have SBS 2011 Standard you need to apply SP1 for Windows Server 2008 R2 first, then try to install SQL Server 2012.
    If you have SBS 2011 Essentials, you don’t need to apply Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. You can install SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition.
    Hope this helps.

  • Coldfusion 10 64 bit developers edition

    I have a new 64bit laptop that I plan to use for developing. I am working on a project that uses CF 10. I'd really like to get a copy of the 64 bit CF 10 so I can install the developer version on my laptop. Is there any way to get one? I have a copy of the 32 bit installer on my current laptop, but I don't really want to install that version.

    Not from the Adobe downloads site.  For some undisclosed reason (probably related to a 3rd party license), they installers had to be removed from the downloads site around the time CF 11 was released. If you had a Standard or Enterprise license, you might be able to get it from the Adobe volume licensing, but I'm not sure if that's true anymore.
    There is a community-supported repository of ColdFusion installers that Gavin Picken maintains here: http://tinyurl.com/cfdownloads.  Unfortunately, it is offline at the moment but hopefully will be back soon.

  • OC4J developers preview edition

    hi!
    At the moment I'm in a starting J2EE project involved.
    I have to decide, which OC4J version to use. My choice would be the developers preview edition,

    Because this would be the deadline of the project, and I can't install a developers edition

    Hi Paul,
    I had similiar problems like the one you describe.
    I got the JMS example (CoffeeMaker) running, but had problems with my own application ( Object not bound).
    In my case, I got it running now when I only use the absolute necessary (oc4j.jar, junit.jar in my case) in my classpath
    (of course the application client xml's must contain your lookup names, but I did not !!! have to setup
    my queue in jms.xml (wonder why).
    You might try this (oc4j.jar references the required libs for jms,jndi,etc. internally)
    [Comment to "absolute necessary": of course I have a CLASSPATH which contains only the necessary libs.
    But since we are working on a framework which does not only want to connect to OC4J JMS (or EJB), I have
    a CLASSPATH containing other libs. I have to find the correct order, I guess.]
    But still my question to this forum: how is it possible that a queue is started "implicitly" (that means it is
    not configured in jms.xml). Is this desired or mandatory (Sun J2EE reference implementation does the same).
    Or am I missing something ?

  • MS SQL Server 2012 Developers Freeze At ODBC Setup

    I am attempting to create an ODBC connection using my local computer's
    Admin Tools-ODBC Connection interface.
    I can select the MS SQL Server driver type, enter the odbc name I want to call the connection , then click browse so to look for sql databases in a local install of MS SQL Server 2012 Developers Edition
    The odbc setup goes into a search mode that ran for over 4 hours and the process could not be terminated using Task Manager - End Task.
    After rebooting, I tried the Options - Create New Connection using Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools interface and get the same result where I again have to reboot the computer to stop the setup.
    Is this an expected result when setting up an odbc this way and/or is there another way odbcs are created so to connect to MS SQL Server 2012 databases?

  • ColdFusion and MS SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition

    Trying to get ColdFusion (Developers Edition) to communicate
    with MS SQL Server 2005 (Enterprise Edition). I have ColdFusion
    running on username = admin; password = as set up when installed.
    Have also tried setting up a user account with my Windows desktop
    username and password in case ColdFusion needed to be logged on as
    the same user as the SQL server. I have full admin permissions on
    the SQL Server (with Windows authentication), and am the database
    "owner" of the database on the server. In either ColdFusion login
    case, when I try to "add a data source", with driver = Microsift
    SQL Server, I get.....
    Connection verification failed for data source: CFtoVolcano
    java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC
    Driver][SQLServer]Login failed for user 'kewing'.
    The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException:
    [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Login failed for user
    'kewing'.
    Went to help files (troubleshooting area) and verified that
    the local web browser (IIS) and Cold Fusion ARE running. Next step
    takes me to "Change ColdFusion user account" which starts with
    "Open Control Panel and select ColdFusion 8 App Server and click
    Startup". I don't see that choice in MyComputer/ControlPanel. Not
    even sure if this is going to ba another dead end anyway!!!
    HELP! This shouldn't be this difficult! I'm not using some
    weird version of SQL!

    To use the default SQL drivers bundled with CF you need to
    use SQL authentication (which is disabled by default I think) in
    SQL Server 2005. If you enable SQL (mixed mode) authentication and
    create a user you can then add the data source in the CF admin.
    Alternatively, in order to use integrated windows
    authentication with SQL server your CF service needs to run as
    specific user. (It sounds like you've already done this) and you
    will need to use Microsoft's JDBC driver
    Driver download (MS JDBC Driver)

  • Editing a MS Access Data Source

    1) I have a copy of Coldfusion MX 7 developers edition
    running on my system. So my computer is acting as my local server.
    2) I used Coldfusion Administrator to declare/link to the DSN
    for the access database that I'm using.
    3) All my pages that call for info from my database work on
    my local server, but don't work when I upload them to my web
    server.
    QUESTION: How do I change the address of where the Coldfusion
    Server looks for my DSN. Where is the code that points to the DSN
    that you setup in Coldfusion Administrator?

    You have to use ColdFusion administrator on your Web server
    to declare the DSN. It's the identical process you did when you
    established the DSN on your local server.

  • App developers removing reviews...

    I wonder why RIM lets developers edit reviews. Leave a bad review and they will remove it the next day .
    These app ratings are useless.
    Nothing but phony 5 star reviews that they leave themselves.

    Others have noticed that as well... and it doesn't give a good representation of the app.
    About the only way to know if the app is decent is to research the developer and get personal recommendations from friends or other BB or Playbook users.

  • How can I display XSLT transformer errors on a web page ?

    Hi,
    I have some JSP pages that access DB, create an XML based on DB data and then transform it into HTML through an XSLT stylesheet. Developing the XSL code it's easy to make mistakes and generate errors on trasformation, but what I receive on the web page is only a "Could not compile stylesheet" TransformerConfigurationException, while the real cause of the error is displayed only on tomcat logs. This is the code for transformation:
    static public void applyXSLT(Document docXML, InputStream isXSL, PrintWriter pw) throws TransformerException, Exception {
            // instantiate the TransformerFactory.
            TransformerFactory tFactory = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
            // creates an error listener
            XslErrorListener xel = new XslErrorListener();
            // sets the error listener for the factory
            tFactory.setErrorListener(xel);
            // generate the transformer
            Transformer transformer = tFactory.newTransformer(new SAXSource(new InputSource(isXSL)));
            // transforms the XML Source and sends the output to the HTTP response
            transformer.transform(new DOMSource(docXML), new StreamResult(pw));
    }If an exception is thrown during the execution of this code, its error message is displayed on the web page.
    This is the listener class:
    public class XslErrorListener implements ErrorListener {
        public XslErrorListener() {
        public void warning(TransformerException ex) {
            // logs on error log
            System.err.println("\n\nWarning on XEL: " + ex.getMessage());
        public void error(TransformerException ex) throws TransformerException {
            // logs on error log
            System.err.println("\n\nError on XEL: " + ex.getMessage());
            // and throws it
            throw ex;
        public void fatalError(TransformerException ex) throws TransformerException {
            // logs on error log
            System.err.println("\n\nFatal Error on XEL: " + ex.getMessage());
            // and throws it
            throw ex;
    }When I have an error in the XSL stylesheet (for examples a missing closing tag), I can find on tomcat logs the real cause of the error:
    [Fatal Error] :59:10: The element type "table" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</table>".
    Error on XEL: The element type "table" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</table>".but on my web page is reported just the TransformerConfigurationException message that is:
    "Could not compile stylesheet".
    How can I display the real cause of the error directly on the web page?
    Thanks,
    Andrea

    This code is part of a bigger project that let developers edit XSL stylesheets through a file upload on the system and we can't impose the use of any tool for checking the xsl. So, I need to display the transformer error on the web page.I see. This code is part of an editorial/developmental tool for developers to create and edit XSL stylesheets.
    As part of the editorial process, XSL errors during editing can be considered a normal condition. In other words, it is normal to expect that the developers will generate XSL errors as they are developing stylesheets.
    In this light, handling the XSL transformation errors is a business requirement that you need to handle. Using the Java Exceptions mechanisms, e.g. try / catch are inappropriate to handle business requirements, in my opinion.
    I suggest that you look at how you handle the occurence of XSL errors differently than what you currently have. You need to:
    (1) capture the Transformation exception on the server;
    (2) extract the message from the exception and put it into a message that can be easily understood by the user;
    The current error message that you have going to the web browser is not useful.
    And you should not have the Transformation exception sent to the web browser either.
    What you are attempting to do with the exception is not appropriate.
    Handle the Transformation exception on the Business tier and use it to create a useful message that is then sent to the Presentation tier. In other words, do not send Java exceptions to web browser.

  • New to Sun and Solaris

    Hello all. I am currently a Sr. System Administrator right now for IBM AIX and SCO UNIX OS systems and I am wanting to start learning the Sun Solaris OS and getting familiar with that in hopes to become a System Administrator for those OS as well. I know zero about Solaris or Sun right now other than what I have read about.
    Anybody have suggestions on how I start learning Sun Solaris? I see Solaris 10 is a free download for x86 platforms. I was going to install that on my laptop as a dual boot for Solaris 10 and my current laptop Windows XP OS. Would that be a good start in learning Sun Solaris system? Would anybody recommend taking the training courses that Sun provides or would that be a waste of time? Most of the AIX and SCO UNIX OS I come to know and master is from learning on my own and later on taking some advanced admin courses in that.
    My company is thinking changing to Sun Solaris OS and servers to replace the SCO UNIX servers so I just wanted to know any suggestions on how to get familiar with where I can get to the point of install, setup, admin Solaris servers. Thanks!

    hi " mmitguy "
    while I can't comment on
    in hopes to become a System Administrator for those OS as well
    part but I would like to respond on dual boot part, as I've installed Solaris 10 with Win XP recently on a single HD of my Dell 9150 Desktop. First I backed up all my data & tried to resize (using Partition Magic 8) existing Win XP partition (there was only one) & create new partition but it failed & I had to re-install Win XP.
    So I would recommend first to make sure that u have Win XP installation disk & driver / utility installation disk available. And after backing all ur data from ur laptop re-install Win XP & while re-installing create 2 partitions. Install Win XP & install display / graphics card, modem, network etc drivers.
    Installing Solaris 10: I downloaded Solaris 10 11/06 from Sun & burnt a DVD & ran into lots of problems so i posted this:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5137821&tstart=15
    After that, some one from this same forum suggested to install Solaris Express Developers Edition 02/07 instead. ( http://developers.sun.com/solaris/downloads/solexpdev/download.jsp )
    I re-installed Solaris, this time Dev Edition 02/07 and that was very, very simple compare to Solaris 10 11/06.
    Good Luck!
