[CR2008 SP3] - CR XII.3 in clickonce version

Hello,
Someone can give me url for clickonce version of Crystal Report XII ? It's the version 12 with sp3 I need for my Visual Studio 2008 project.
I have found information about version distribueted at this url : [ressource.bo|http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/runtime.asp#09] and this one [wiki version|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=56787567]. In this two one I have not found distribution for clickonce.

I need it for one distribution on seven 64 bits I must realize.

Note I have found one in [Crystal Reports 2008 Reference|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/10e38d93-7f07-2d10-beae-e739182f8ada], but they have not 64 bits in this distribution of version 12. Someone know if this distribution is for the two system (32 and 64) ? It's seems strange !

CR2008 is only 32 bit, there is no 64 bit runtime. Your application must run in 32 bit mode on 64 bit machines.

CR2008 SP3 Full Build - Another version already installed?

I'm switching to a brand new workstation so I'm trying to install CR 2008 SP3 Full Build.
I've already installed the base software from our original license purchase (which is 10.0.0.683). I downloaded SP3 full build so I can update that fresh install but as soon as I run setup.exe, I get an immediate error:
"Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel".
Nothing else is installed for CR2008 aside from the base software. Not sure why the full build is giving this issue.

Ah, wasn't aware that the full build also installs the base software. I just thought it was all 3 service packs rolled in to one minus the actual software.
Uninstalled the base and installed the SP3 package straight and that worked. Thanks!

Strange cr2008 sp3 ins. problem.

I have a problem while installing sp3 for CR 2008.
msg is - the update you are installing does not contain all the fizes in your current installation. install the latest fix pack for sp3 after this installation is complete.-
I checked the program files\business objects\Cache directory.
I was applied fp2.3, fp2.4,fp2.5,fp2.6,fp2.7 and even fp2.8 which you placed after sp3 ?
Why do I get this msg.?

I installed Sp 3 yesterday and I too got the same message. I clicked OK and then the install completed.... Not sure what it is complaining about though. Cr works just fine and all parts are the same version...
I'll see if I can duplicate the problem again and pass it on to the deployment team.
For now it doesn't seem to be an issue though.
Do you have any other versions of CR installed on that PC?

Firefox 27, XP SP3. On this new version sometimes I open it and there's no bookmarks showing. I have to shut it down and restart it. This is 27.0b1

In addition to the question above, I've never had a problem with previous versions of FF locking up, but now it locks up a lot. I believe this is a beta? I have FF 26 .exe still in a folder. Should I just go back to that version and will these problems clear up? thanks.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

CR2008 SP3 - Export options

Environment:
OS: Windows XP (SP3)
Crystal Reports : 12.1.0.892
We are making use of Report Viewer in our applciations (.Net)
And when we want to export to Excel 2007 and CSV we are not able to find options.
We can see only Excel (97-2003) and other options.
How we can get export to CSV and Excel 2007 (.xlsx)

Three things I'd like to mention / recommend
1) You are on CR 2008 Service Pack 1. Update to SP4 by installing, then installing SP4. Service packs can be found on the downloads page:

2) Note from the wiki that the some export options are not available via the viewer, but are available via the engine (not sure if this is the case here).

Error installing CR2008 SP3 FP3.2 and/or FP3.3

I have installed 2008 SP3 and FP3.1 sucessfully on several machines and am now trying to isntall FP3.2 or FP3.3, but both error during install:

Hi John,
Try emptying all of your PC's \temp folders and then re-boot and try again.
If that doesn't work try un-installing FP 3.1 and apply 3.3

When i try to install firefox 33.1 or any version it says "Sorry Firefox cannot be installed. This version requires Windows XP SP2 or newer", I have SP3

I cannot install the lastest addition of firefox on Windows XP Professional SP3. I currently have version 12.0 and when I click check for Updates it says Firefox is up to date. However almost all websites display a notices that says "Looks like you're using an older version of firefox.

The useragent of the Firefox 12.0 version that you used to post here indicates your Operating System is Windows 2000 (Windows NT 5.0;), which isn't supported by Mozilla for anything newer than Firefox 12.0.
You could try using IE to download Firefox 33.1.1 from here:

Successful VB2008, CR2008 test deployment, but have 2 questions

Current Status -
Successfully deployed VB2008 app with the CR2008 Runtime using "ClickOnce" to a test Windows XP client.
I had some issues with deployment and found this thread to be most helpful

Step 9 within that thread states for a project prerequisite, "Select Crystal Reports 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5."

Should not be an issue. CR 2008 ia able to handle framework 2.0 and higher (not 4.0)

Looks like you are missing the 'Microsoft.Data.Access.Components.2.8' runtime which is a dependency. See if the following will help:

Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 &VS Studio 2008

Hi,
i'm trying to use Crystal Reports 2008 with SP3, Visual Studio 2008 and OS Windows Server 2003 (I use this Server OS because i'm developing for Microsoft SharePoint).
Before upgrading to Crystal Reports SP3 i could not set a basic Visual Studio C# Dataset as the Datasource of my Report. Everytime i get the following Error:
Unknown Database Connector Error - Error in file temp_GUID.rpt
Then i read theis forum and it was mentioned that maybe SP3 could solve this problem. But after applying CR 2008 SP3 the following Error occur (VS cancel the debug mode and this error is logged to the Windows Server-Log):
Message: Could not load file or assembly 'crdb_adoplus, Version=12.0.1100.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. Failed to grant permission to execute. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131418)
I'm using the following Code-Snippet:

Well guys,
i spent the whole day with installing and uninstalling the CR2008 Service Packs with no success. My opion was that eventually the " CR2008 SP3 Full Build" from this download site

As a reminder the error text:

Maybe its a permission problem, but the ServiceAccount which performs the action has full control on the temp and CrystalReports Installation folder, so i don't know what to do else.

CR2008 - Are COM references supported?

Current Status -

Successfully unit tested application.
Question -
My VS2008 project property references consist of, CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine and
CrystalDecisions.Shared and 4 Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 entries and all of them of Type, .NET and
3 COM entries.
My question is in regards to the 3 COM entries, Microsoft Excel 12.0 Object Library (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll), Microsoft Scripting Runtime (Interop.Scripting.dll) and Microsoft Windows Common Controls (AxInterop.MScomCtl2.dll).
Do you support these COM references (no issues so far in my testing) or do I need to update my code and remove these references?

All depends on what you are doing with those MS COM controls. If they are not being used directly within CR then CR should not be affected.
Not much detail to go on so can't say for sure, but if your tests all confirm they work then for this current build it should not be a problem. I would also post your question to Microsoft if there are any plans to deprecate those controls.

Integration of Xcelsius 2008 SP3 with BO Edge 3.1

Hello Experts,
We are using Xcelsius Engage 2008 SP3 and want it to be integrated with BO Edge 3.1 ..
I have downloaded and installed the Xcelcius SP3 trial. The build version is - 12.3.0.670
On insallation of SAP Integration Kit 3.1 .. I see SAP in the main Menu of the Xcelsuis 2008. However unlike Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 the SAP menu is all greyed out ( Its non-modifiable )
Am i missing anything here..?

Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 ( Integrated OK with the SAP Server )

SAP BW Version - Installed on a separate host - Netweaver 7.0 SPS 19.
SAP BO Edge 3.1 - Installed on a separate host with SAP Integration Kit ( Server Components )
Can you please inform if Xcelcius Enterprise is different from Xcelsius Engage ..? If yes from where i can download the trial version of the Xcelsius Enterprise..?

When I go to the crash report page the signature is null for ALL the crash reports. Is there any solution other than uninstall this version and try to install an eariler version? I don't have many add-ons and they never caused a problem before.

Every since I updated to version 4 my browser has been constantly crashing, especially when I have a few tabs open. I need to give up on this version. My computer is windows XP sp3. Can I uninstall version 4 and install an earlier version and still get my add-ons? I don't have many, but xmarks and firebug are important to me.
Now this form is malfunctioning.

Try to uninstall the current Java version and maybe delete the Java installation folder (C:\Java) if that didn't work.

From which folder did you delete the extensions.* files?
Firefox should have recreated at least extensions.rdf.

Resore SQL server 2008 SP3 database to SQL server 2008 R2 SP1

I have a dump from a SQL server 2008 SP3 server and I'm trying to restore it to SQL server 2008 R2 SP1 server but getting the error:
Msg 3241, Level 16, State 0, Line 2
The media family on device 'E:\Work\backup.bak0' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family.
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 2
RESTORE FILELIST is terminating abnormally.
Are these versions incompatible or is it just a problem with the file? If they are incompatible, I could upgrade my target server to SQL server 2008 R2 SP2, would this help?

SQL server 2008 SP3 is technically a lower version than 2008 R2 SP1
but it was released after it.
The service packs release date don't matter, only the major+minor build versions are important; restore should work in your constellation.
During FTP transfer the file could be damaged, that's possible. The backup file could be also "blocked" by OS because it was download from a different server; then you have to unblock it like every other download file.

SQL Server 2012 Reporting services Report Builder ClickOnce in SharePoint integrated mode

I've installed SSRS 2012 in Integrated Mode with SharePoint 2013.
I've created RS Application, I have the Content types for Report Builder Report but when I try to create a new Report Builder Report from a document library (using ribbon) it try to lauch the following url

I've installed Report Builder 3.0 as standalone because from SQL installation I didn't get an Report Builder

I've noticed that ReportBuilder_3.....application is in webservices folder of sharepoint

Web Service URL in Live Office for Edge BI 3.1 SP3

Hello,
I want to install the best practices v4.31 for Xcelsius.
I have : Edge BI 3.1 SP3 for server and for client,
 environnement Windows server 2008 and windows XP,
 Xcelsisus 2008
 Live Office 3.1 SP3
I export an Xcelsius in excel. To open an Xcelsius report in Excel I should use Live Office. And also I should give an url of web service, which is http://<host>:8080/dswsbobje/services/session. This url doesn't work and a field with Authentification is grey.
Can it be a problem of BusinessObject Edge BI version? A problem with an incorrect url?

The Url is correct you have to change the <host> to the webserver name or CMS server name or IP address like "http://10.74.161.168:8080/dswsbobje/services/session".
my suggestion is to upgrade your xcelsius version to 2008 SP3 as all other production version are SP3.
