Has anyone used anyone other than Apple for screen replacement? And if you used Apple how long did it take?

I have had friends that have cracked their screens, and from what I have heard, the repairs for a cracked screen are nearly as much as a new ipod itself. I believe you may be better off by just buying a new one...And keep that thing lookin' great!

I have recently severely cracked my ipod touch 5th generation screen, but it still works perfect. If I take it to the apple store will I get it replaced for free? One person on youtube showed that he got his Iphone 5 replaced for free when he cracked his.

Hey everyone, I recently dropped my iPhone 3G and was extremely upset to find out the screen had cracked. Luckily, the touch screen still worked, but it made my iPhone very unsightly. I talked to Apple and they offered $200 to fix it. Well forget that, WAY too much. I began to look around the internet for some good places that I could send my iPhone to to get it repaired. They won't exactly repair it but there is a scheme where you trade an iPod with a broken screen plus some money for a refurbished, working iPod of the same memory capacity

Cracked ipod screen and touch not working

I bought an ipod touch 4th generation just under 2 months and a couple of weeks later i dropped it on a pavement and the screen cracked. i carried on using the ipod till i had some money to fix it but just recently the touch is a bit funny. It doesnt sometimes work and if would go on an app without me touching it. can someone help me because i dont want to spend loads of money getting this fixed but then the touch problem to carry on. or can someone tell me if this is a fault. and if it is how would i get it fixed?

Is it still ok to use a cracked ipod screen,

i cracked my ipod and my parents think i should not use it is it still ok i i use it or no

Perhaps get a cheap screen protector from Amazon or eBay. It would help holding the screen together and protect your fingers from sharp edges. Still one day the device probably will fail and you will have to repair/replace it.

hey, apparently my ipod touch 4g screen is cracked. the digitizer still works but the crack makes it hard to read and use the ipod

Badly cracked iPod screen...Help!
