Crackling Sound When At Max

Hello,
I have the MSI Z87 GD65 with Windows 7;
When the windows volume is at max, the left speaker starts to crackle during playback. This happens with different speaker sets, so its not the speakers.
I've updated to the latest drivers and even the latest SoundBlaster Cinema version. Is there a solution to this?

I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 15-n297sa Notebook and the popping sound or crackling noises. Here is a document on troubleshooting sound for the user profile that is experiencing the crackling.
Does this happen in the profile when they are listening to a CD?
What browser are you using? I would check to make sure the browser is up to date.

My iphone 5 makes crackling sounds when calling using headset

when using headset to make phone calls or facetime, after a few mins or so crackling sounds can be heard from both sides of the call, ive tried various headsets and the same issue occurs, also tried a new sim card. this problem only occurs when using headset only.
i have been to apple and have swapped the handset but yet again the same problem.. i am not the only one experiancing this as ive read other forums n its a common problem. APPLE needs ro fix this asap

i will try that. Has this problem happened to you? All they said at the genius bar was that my 1st iphone 5 might if had a faulty headphone jack, im thinking if going back and getting handset swapped again to see if the problem occurs

Crackling sound when tilting MacBook Pro

Just his morning my MacBook Pro (about 2 months old) started making a crackling noise when it's tilted (like pulling it out of my laptop bag).
I've done some searching and some suggest it may be the Sudden Motion Sensor, but my MacBook Pro has a solid state drive, so it shouldn't need that, correct?
Any clue as to what this might be?

Lay the closed MBP upside down on a flat tabletop and press gently on its bottom pan with a thumb, working systematically over the entire surface square inch by square inch until you identify the area within which pressure produces the sound.
There is a spring-loaded grounding contact inside the bottom cover that connects something to the bottom cover and thence to the computer's chassis, and it has been reported to make a scratching or scraping noise when the bottom cover is pressed in — as it is when you grip the machine to lift it out of a case.
If your sound doesn't fit this description and the above exercise doesn't produce it, and it only occurs when you change the orientation of the machine in handling it, then I would be concerned that there may be a loose screw or part rattling around inside it.

3 year old iPhone 4 has a crackling sound when calls are made and caller can't be heard

My iPhone 4 has been giving me problems via the earpiece it seems. When I make calls, it starts crackling until I hit the earpiece area till the sound is gone. But when its clear, I can hear the person over the phone but the person can't hear me. I have to hit it a few more times on the earpiece to actually get them to hear me. My mic works fine as sending voice messages are no problems. Anyone else going through this problem and had a solution to this (besides buying a new iPhone - Still waiting for iPhone 5s to be in stock) Hoping for some help on this. Thank you.

I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

Crackling sound when playing video files with X-Fi Elite

Hello,
I have a Creative X-Fi Elite Pro running on a Windows Vista Ultimate system that have the Gigaworks S750 Speakers connected to them.
I noticed today when trying to play a video file that there was constant crackling in the background throughout the file. To try to isolate the problem, I tried a different file, and have found that this happens with ALL video files. Audio playback on mp3s or CDs is OK.
I'm using Entertainment Mode, EAX effects set to Theater, CMSS enabled and Crystallizer disabled, and all other settings as default. The configuration is set to 7. to match my Gigaworks speakers.
I have tried using both the latest and latest beta drivers for the card, without success.
Any help to resolve these problems would be appreciated.

Thank you for the response. I have checked it, and it says (i've dutch language) something i would translate to English as "System sound output". Is that preference for all discs? I would assume so. But DVD-player plays some discs without sound, and some with sound. So maybe it is codec related? But i would not know how to check that... (when i try to see what codec, audio says it is dts, and i assume dts audio should be no problem?)

"crunching/sparkling/crackling" sound when turning volume knob on Gigaworks T20.

Hi there. I bought a pair of Gigaworks T20 about 3 weeks ago. The last week or so whenever I turn the volume knob up or down there is a slight but very apparent "sparkling/crunching/crackling" noise in the speakers. English is not my native language and I haven't thought to discribe this sound before, so I hope you can understand what I mean, also when I turn the speakers Off there is kind of a crunch and "pop" just before the knobs goes to the off setting. Is this something that is a feature not a bug? Cause seriously if it is, I'll have to throw them out the window as soon as possible. Im very sensitive to these crackling and popping sounds, and getting desperate. Hello gdorin! My problem turned out to be faulty speakers. What I did was call the place where I bought them, the girl in customer service there told me "yeah, that has happened before". Then she sent me a new pair, which I got the next day, and when I asked what to do with the old ones she just replied, throw them away. =) Quick and easy solution, this is covered by warranty since the speakers are faulty, and should be solved by a replacement. /D

Crackling Sounds When Big Jambox Hardwired to iPad using iOS 7.0.2

Since the rollout of iOS 7.0.2 about a week ago, I am having serious problems with Big Jambox compatibility when it is hardwired to the iPad (3rd Generation). Streaming of Music, Netflix, Amazon, etc. can result in very loud clicking sounds (in succession) when the Big Jambox is hardwired to the iPad. The issue does NOT exist when using Bluetooth, hardwiring the original Jambox to the iPad OR when hardwiring the Big Jambox to my Galaxy S4 Android phone!
The best example of the issue is when playing House of Cards (Netflix streaming) last night, the annoying clicking with the Big Jambox wired to the iPad happens multiple times when the music starts at the opening credits and after any louder sounds in the program, e.g., a brick/rock being thrown through a window or firearms being discharged. Jambox has no friggin' clue, but did say "We are having lots of problems with Big Jambox and iOS 7" (whatever that means).
I was thinking maybe the headphone jack for the iPad is broken, but if that were the case, wouldn't I experience the exact same results using the smaller Jambox?
Anyone else notice this issue when hardwiring the Big Jambox to their iPad (3rd Generation)? Even happens when I tested some PIANO MUSIC and Justin Bieber song from iTunes!

Crackling noise when recording

I am using an IMAC and the Steinberg CI2 interface to record and I am getting a crackling sound when recording. Does anyone know what this might be?

i have a similar problem with a yamaha mw12cx usb mixer and a macbook pro. i set the audio preferences to the specifications in the owners manual 44.1 khz on the input and 48 khz on the output and the crackling noise immediately went away. this worked for about 15 minutes of recording a narration but when the crackling started again, i couldn't set the output at 48 khz, it would change right back to 44.1khz. am i going to have to break the recordings up into 10 minute pieces?

I own a Satellite P100-188 and the sound crackled in windows with driver 3.11.0.0 and BIOS 2.10, after sending the notebook back to Toshiba only for them to install driver version 3.11.0.51 I found that some sounds where not playing at all. I have come to the conclusion that the Conexant sound chip (or hardware) is just rubbish, for instance take the sound volume of the beep tone when hitting caps lock or num lock compared to the general volume, which, at full volume is barely audible!
I myself went back to using version 3.11.0.0 as I would rather have crackling sound than missing sounds. I'm considering purchasing a Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA sound card as I play games a lot on my notebook. If sound is important for you, you may want to consider it too.
An eaiser way to check your BIOS version is to click Start select Run... and enter this line in the dialog box
TInTouch.exe and hit enter.
Then switch to the Protect and Fix tab and left click PC diagnostic tool, it will list all the information on your notebook.
This is how I updated my BIOS, I downloaded the win update file and unzipped it, I then ran the Phoenix Winphlash program and entered a bios backup destination and browsed to the .wph file which was in the folder that the program unzipped to, I then followed the onscreen prompts and that was it, the machine re-booted with the new bios installed.

Crackling and popping sound when playing music and watching youtube videos

there is a crackling and popping sound when i watch videos on youtube or play music/videos using vlc media player and windows media player. recently it has gotten to a point where it happens when windows is starting up or even when the laptop is required to play a sound for example when i plug in a removeable hardware such as thumbdrives

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP 2000 Notebook and getting a buzzing or popping sound while playing music and watching Youtube videos. Try performing a hard reset.
When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook that might have caused this.
You can try this
1. Right click the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner.
2. Click Playback Devices.
3. Click Speakers.
4. Click properties.
5. Click the advanced tab on the Properties window.
6. Change the Default Format drop-down to the highest quality.
7. Apply the properties.
8. Click OK to close the properties window.
What happens if you right click on the video while playing a video and take the check out of hardware acceleration. Shut the browser down and restart the notebook.
Have you checked for an update on the Active X.

I was trying to adjust the latency issues i was having. something happened and i hear a very loud squeal. deathening.now when i listen to playbach thru my headphones i hear crackling sounds. if i were to bounce and playback thru i-tunes, i don't hear it.

In my iPad mini,when my use in app streaming , there is no sound.. Can anybody help? It used to be ok before. For example, there is no sound when I use YouTube clip in a news item or magazine like pulse..

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with iOS audio issues. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker
Can't hear anything from the built-in speaker of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch? Maybe you can hear, but the sound is distorted, muffled, intermittent. Or maybe you hear static or crackling noises. If your iOS device has any of these issues, follow these steps.
Follow these steps and test the sound after each one.
Go to Settings > Sounds and drag the Ringer And Alerts slider to turn the volume up.
If you can hear sound from the speaker, then the speaker works. Continue with these steps to find the setting or switch that's affecting the sound. If you can't hear sound from the speaker, contact Apple Support.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is set to ring. If you can see orange, it's set to silent.
Restart your device.
Open an app that has music or sound effects. Adjust the volume with the volume buttons or the slider in Control Center.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth.
If there's still no sound, connect a headset. If you can hear sound through the headset, remove it and clear any dust or debris from the headset jack of your device.
If the device is in a case, make sure that the case doesn't block the speaker.
Use a brush to gently clear any debris from the speaker and Lightning connector (or 30-pin dock connector). The brush should be clean and dry and have soft bristles.
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
If you followed these steps and still hear no sound or distorted sound, contact Apple Support.

Static, fuzzy, crackling sound on brand new laptop

A static crackling sound is present when i listen to audio on my laptop. This is the second time i have purchased this laptop as the first one also had this problem and has continued with this one. i have run the sound diagnostic and no audio problems have been detected with the laptop and i have also updated the latop software but the problem still continues

Hizzing / bad sound when running from battery power (Ups)?:

Why is my computer (Imac) emitting a hizzing sound when running from the UPS (battery)? I am testing a offline UPS type: POWERWARE Eaton Protection Station UPS 500VA 250W. My Imac is suppose to use max 200 watts of electrity (Imac 24 inch. intel 2.8 Ghz, 4 GB memory). When running from AC there is no sound. When testing (pulling out the cord on the UPS the Imac starts emitting a disturbing hizz / sound)???

I solved it my self. It was OK (no buzz and fuzz) when it was plugged in (when the electicity line was down once and I was running on the UPS battery).....
